MELBOURNE developer MAB Corporation has snapped up more than 32 hectares of former quarry land in the city’s south-east neighbouring an existing holding
marking its third acquisition in the precinct
MAB’s purchase of 1520 Thompsons Road in Cranbourne East
gives it an institutional scale holding in a region in which industrial land is in demand
where retail shopping has morphed into warehouse-based businesses selling products online and using logistics and supply chains to deliver to customers
rather than people shopping in a traditional storefront,” said LAWD agent Peter Sagar
who sold the site with Paul Callanan and Henry Sayers
“Residential lot sizes are also shrinking across Melbourne
becoming a catalyst for a booming self-storage market
as people seek additional storage for their assets such as boats and caravans,” Sagar said
“This has significantly increased demand for this type of real estate
the acquisition creates a large institutional scale holding for them in an area where the supply of industrial land is largely exhausted.”
The final sale price remains confidential but is believed to have sold for more than $50 million. Industry sources told Australian Property Journal during the campaign that the site could sell for more than $60 million
The vendor was retail syndicator Fawkner Property
“It was always our intention to hold on to the land and achieve full value to provide capital gains for our investors
so this transaction is a terrific result for our unit holders,” said CIO and founder
The deal is LAWD’s fourth deal in the precinct in the past two years
with proceeds tallying in excess of $300 million
the agency is currently fielding expressions of interest for Thompsons Corner Business Park in Cranbourne East
which is earmarked for residential development to support the population growth in the south-east corridor
Elsewhere in the south-east, the global arm of global logistics platform ESR has recently partnered with Japanese giant Mitsubishi Estate Asia to develop a $175 million industrial estate in Pakenham

Det Act Supt Mick Daly said police were treating the shooting as a random attack
There was no connection between the man or his daughter and the shooter
“When a man just comes out to protect his daughter – to be shot in the street is distressing,” Daly told reporters on Monday
Police will ramp up patrols in the area in the coming days
Anyone with CCTV or information on the incident is asked to contact police

This week we have grown our industrial pipeline in Melbourne’s South East with the acquisition of over 32 hectares within the future Croskell employment precinct in Cranbourne East
MAB’s development will ultimately comprise over 250,000m2 of state of the art industrial and logistics space with an end value exceeding $800 million
The future development will have the benefit of established infrastructure including
close proximity to the future Dandenong South Intermodal Terminal
established Cranbourne West and Dandenong Industrial Precincts
multiple retail centres and a booming residential catchment
MAB’s latest acquisition in the City of Casey follows the success of our Thompsons Base and Element Park business parks within the municipality and MAB’s purchase of 36 hectares of greenfield residential land in Devon Meadows

Extending the Cranbourne line to Clyde has been among the recommendations for future major infrastructure projects by the State’s independent advisory body
Infrastructure Victoria (IV) recommends the State Government extend and electrify the Cranbourne line to Clyde and build four new stations after 2030
to address the need for public transport in the south east
according to the body’s draft 30-year infrastructure strategy
The draft recommendation states the extension and a new Dandenong South station means that residents could assess around 50,000 more jobs in 45 minutes
Its model projects 3,700 additional weekday train boardings at four new stations by 2031 and 6,900 by 2041
The advisory body also recommends frequent bus services to connect with trains for seamless public transport journeys
more people drive to stations in Melbourne’s growth areas
This increases the need for expensive car parks Stations with high-quality bus connections can see over 25 per cent of 1340 passengers switching between buses and trains,” the draft report reveals
IV estimates a cost of $2 billion to $3 billion for the upgrade and extension of the Cranbourne line to Clyde
including upgrading the train line and buying new rolling stock
The cost estimate is approximate and based on 2020 estimates adjusted to reflect the current higher costs
“The Victorian Government can consider a mix of funding mechanisms
General government revenue is likely to be a major funding source,” IV states
“Public transport fares can help offset operating costs
The Victorian Government can also seek additional funding from the Australian Government.”
City of Casey Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said essential infrastructure was critical to supporting residents and ensuring the growing city continues to thrive
“Our 2025/26 Federal Government Pre-Budget Submission outlines the priority projects and initiatives that are important to our community
including the much-needed construction of the Clyde Rail Link,” he said
“I am pleased to see our advocacy efforts being echoed by Infrastructure Victoria
“Council will review the draft strategy in detail and determine whether a submission is warranted
“Council looks forward to working with all levels of government to ensure our residents get the access to public transport that they need and deserve.”
The envisioned Clyde Train Station has been a circling topic in the community
Casey Council has long been advocating for an extension of the line to Clyde
Casey’s plan pitched a duplicated line across about 5 kilometres with three new stations: Cranbourne East
With a then-estimated cost of $1.5 to $3 billion
the State Opposition put down a commitment of just under $1 billion if elected in the last election
With the Liberal party failing to achieve Government
the project has largely fallen to silence since
have been charged by Casey’s Crime Investigation detectives after a series of alleged burglaries and robberies in the southeast last week
A stolen Hyundai Accent sedan had been seen in the vicinity of a number of cigarette burglaries and other offences between 15 and 17 January
with patrolling officers sighting the vehicle entering the Monash Freeway from Eastlink around 1:30am on the 17th
the Air Wing was called in to follow the vehicle and stop sticks were successfully deployed
causing the car to come to rest at Broad Oak Drive in Cranbourne
two of them 15-year-old Cranbourne East boys who have been charged with attempted armed robbery
was charged with robbery and burglary offences
A 17-year-old Sandhurst Boy was also charged with attempted armed robbery and burglary offences
Police seized from the vehicle approximately 920 packets of cigarettes as well as a number of other suspected stolen items
The boys were also interviewed at the scene of the arrest in relation to the following alleged incidents:
Theft from a motor vehicle at Artfield Street in Cranbourne East on 16 January
A robbery at the South Gippsland Highway in Cranbourne North on 16 January
Attempted robbery at Ballarto Road in Cranbourne East on 16 January
A robbery at McMahons Road in Ferntree Gully on 16 January
A robbery on Thompsons Road in Cranbourne West on 17 January
A robbery at Warrigal Road in Bentleigh East on 17 January
And the theft of a motor vehicle on Broad Oak Drive
All those charged will face a children’s court at a later date
The brothers’ $17 billion development juggernaut MAB Corporation acquired the final 32.5ha portion of the amalgamated site at 1520 Thompson Road in Cranbourne East this week
after agreeing to pay syndicator Fawkner Property more than $50 million for a former Nubrik quarry
MAB has spent close to $150 million putting the site together over the past two years
The developer’s 1500ha industrial and commercial land bank – most of which is in Melbourne – is one of the largest in the country
MAB chief executive David Hall said the landholding in Cranbourne gave it a strong presence in a key industrial node in Melbourne’s south-east to complement its already “embedded presence” in the north (including a newly launched $1 billion estate at Tullamarine near Melbourne Airport) and in the west
“The [industrial] property market has softened slightly
It’s still a strong market,” Mr Hall told The Australian Financial Review
“If you own land that’s well located – wherever in the cycle you are – people will still want to do business with you
Good sites will sustain themselves through the cycle.”
Mr Hall said MAB was not reweighting its portfolio away from residential with plans under way for a major housing estate in Devon Meadows
a 32ha farming site in the south-east it purchased in 2020 for $37 million
Housing is also a big component of its giant Merrifield mixed-use estate in the city’s north
But he said industrial development was a “more consistent business that was cushioned from the ups and downs of market cycles”
The Cranbourne site lies within the Croskell Precinct Structure Plan – a 317ha commercial and residential hub
40 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD – that is due to be signed off by the state government next year
Croskell is surrounded by established residential suburbs that are expected to drive demand for last mile logistics facilities and smaller warehouses and offices that MAB hopes to develop within its Cranbourne holding
MAB’s general manager of commercial and industrial
said the future Cranbourne estate would ultimately comprise over 250,000 square metres of industrial and logistics space with an end value exceeding $800 million
“The development will have the benefit of established infrastructure including an already duplicated Thompsons Road
proximity to the future Dandenong South intermodal terminal
established Cranbourne West and Dandenong industrial precincts
multiple retail centres and a booming residential catchment,” Mr Buxton said
Other major developers with nearby holdings include Salta
the sale of 1520 Thompsons Road represented a major windfall for fund manager Fawkner Property
which paid just $3.3 million for the property in 2007
(Fawkner struck a deal this month to buy a mall in Townsville from Dexus for more than $200 million.)
so this transaction is a terrific result for our unit holders,” said Fawkner founder and chief investment officer Chris Garnaut
Paul Callanan and Henry Sayers brokered the sale
The real estate firm has sold more than $300 million of commercial land in the Croskell precinct
which has increased the need for logistics and supply chain businesses
rather than people shopping in a traditional storefront,” Mr Sagar said
the Cranbourne acquisition creates a large institutional scale holding for them in an area where the supply of industrial land is largely exhausted.”

The 4.1-kilometre trail in Cranbourne East is now complete with solar lighting, seating, exercise stations, canopy trees, two fitness nodes, benches, water stations, lighting and additional signage.
City of Casey’s chair of administrators, Noelene Duff PSM and chief executive officer Glenn Patterson were joined by Cranbourne MP Pauline Richards, the general manager at Casey Demons Peter Maynard and the general manager at Melbourne City Football Club Ian Wilson on Monday 8 July to celebrate the completion.

“The creation of this fitness trail will become a regional drawcard, through its design appeal to runners and walkers, offering a soft surface, wide path and flat topography, in a safe and attractive setting”.
The fitness trail was initially addressed in the Casey Fields Master Plan, and was made possible through a $250,000 grant via Sport and Recreation Victoria’s 2021-22 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund – Community Facilities Stream; council funded the remaining $960,732.
MAB has recently secured two key industrial landholdings in Melbourne’s South-East employment precinct of Cranbourne East. The two adjoining sites with a combined area of 44.75 hectares represent one of the last significant land holdings within the Croskell Precinct Structure Plan and is set to become an employment led development with an estimated value exceeding $400 million on completion.
The LAWD team of Peter Sagar and Paul Callanan brokered the sale for the 32.57 hectares site, and the adjoining 12.18 hectares parcel was acquired off market. The combined sites benefit from a significant frontage to Thompsons Road and will provide a key entryway into the Croskell precinct. The Croskell Precinct Structure Plan is one of the last to be prepared in the corridor and will satisfy significant demand for industrial land and asset investments in the area.
The development has the benefit of established infrastructure including, an already duplicated Thompsons Road, access to a booming residential catchment and close to a number of significant retail centres. The sites, when fully developed, will ultimately comprise over 180,000m2 of state of the art industrial and logistics space. MAB will now commence work with the Victoria Planning Authority to complete the Precinct Structure Plan.
The future business park sits in close proximity to an industrial ‘hot spot’ along the Western Port Highway, surrounded by industrial heavyweights LOGOS, Goodman Group, ESR Australia and Salta Properties. The recent acquisition expands MAB’s portfolio of industrial developments in the City of Casey and follows the success of Thompsons Base, Element Park and MAB’s 2020 acquisition of 32 hectares of greenfield residential land in Devon Meadows.
MAB’s General Manager Commercial and Industrial, Michael Martin said, “we have been active in growing our industrial pipeline in key markets to meet rising demand, in what continues to be an extremely competitive market.
“The recent acquisition of the Cranbourne East sites expands our industrial pipeline to over 1,066 hectares.
MAB’s commercial and industrial portfolio of completed and future projects end value now exceeds $10 billion with developments located in Melbourne’s North, South East and the emerging Geelong region including MAB’s Greater Avalon, a 21st century business park currently in planning.
Police have charged five children following alleged violent offences overnight that ended in a high-speed pursuit, including two from Clyde and Cranbourne East.
The pursuit commenced when the allegedly stolen black BMW sedan was spotted by police in Boronia, near Mountain Highway, at about 10.25pm on Tuesday 16 April.
A co-ordinated police response involving police from uniform, highway patrol and the Air Wing resulted in police taking action to ram the stolen BMW on Wellington Street in East Melbourne at about 11.20pm to prevent any further serious risk to the community.
The five teenage occupants were taken into custody by officers.
It’s alleged the stolen BMW is linked to seven serious and violent offences that occurred prior to the pursuit last night where the offenders, armed with machetes, targeted small businesses.
A 17-year-old Clyde boy has been charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle and dangerous driving whilst pursued by police.
A 16-year-old Seaford boy, a 16-year-old Cranbourne East boy, a 15-year-old Wantirna boy, and a 14-year-old Rowville boy have been charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and theft of motor vehicle.
They have all been remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date.

The blaze destroyed a recreation centre which houses a day care facility, wood workshop and swimming pool, located near the Blue Hills Retirement Home on Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East.
The building was almost burning "end to end" when crews arrived, Country Fire Authority operations officer Paul Summons said.
"The recreational facility is totally destroyed by fire," he said.
"But the good news is that no further damage to any other facilities or the chapel ... were recorded."
Although none of the retirement village's units were affected, residents were safely evacuated.
The building is leased by the Judy Clarkson Cranbourne Day Care & Kindergarten Centre for before- and after-school care.
Sharon Smith, a part-owner of the day care centre, said no children were in the building at the time.
"It's an after-school care facility, so no children were there at the time," Ms Smith said.
"And those children who were due to come today have been directed to another facility."
It is believed the fire started in the roof of the building.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the scene, but no one needed treatment.
The CFA has advised nearby residents to shut doors and windows in order to avoid smoke inhalation.

You don't need to remind the residents of Cranbourne East that they inhabit one of the nation's fastest growing suburbs
The place has been one big construction site for years
one of the engine rooms powering Melbourne's population boom along with other suburbs on the city's fringe
And people keep wanting to move in – just last year Cranbourne East added the equivalent of a small Victorian town to an already heaving corner of south-east Melbourne

the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show
The most recent spike has been considerable: an extra 7338 people were living there in 2017 compared with the year before
easily the highest increase in the country
Cranbourne East in one year grew just short of the total number of residents of surf coast town Portarlington (population: 7695
More than 85 per cent of those new arrivals came from internal migration (people moving from other parts of Australia)
The reason Ms Gainsford and her family chose to live in Cranbourne East was simple: it was cheaper to buy land there than other suburbs nearby

McDonald’s has sold the balance of a site earmarked
to be the Cranbourne East Neighbourhood Town Centre
The fast food chain is banking $8.29 million for the 1.843 hectare former farm fronting Adrian Street and Ballarto Road
It paid $6.3m in early 2018 before subdividing a 2685 sqm portion at the intersection of those roads for a restaurant
Colliers’ Tim McIntosh and Mike Crittenden marketed the property both times
Eleven offers came in following the most recent campaign
forms part of a major growth corridor also including Junction Village
Clyde and Clyde North – the latter where McDonald’s has another restaurant
Elsewhere in the area, 13 months ago, National Pacific Properties, a division of Burbank Homes, banked $67.65m for the 26.23ha parcel set to become the Clyde Town Centre
Across town, in 2021, meanwhile, Occasio Projects snapped up the 26.4ha Mernda Town Centre site from Woolworths, while Empire Properties snared the proposed retail centre of The Grove housing estate
Outside of Melbourne, last year, Cotton On founder Nigel Austin spent $7.15m for a 6.23ha Fyansford
block master-planned for that region’s town centre (story continues below)
“Demand for core retail sites underpinned by strong tenant interest and strategically located in rapidly expanding growth corridors remains strong
with…increased bidding and buyer activity from interstate groups,” Mr McIntosh said
“While escalated construction costs and increased holding costs as a consequence of the rapid increase in interest rates is well publicised
developers continue to actively pursue core retail development opportunities in strong growth corridors,” he added
In 2009, McDonald’s acquired Ringwood’s former Patterson Cheney Holden car dealership also to secure a corner for a store and sell down the balance
along with the McDonald’s restaurant and a 1.29ha block on the north west side of the street and Ballarto Road
are master-planned to become the Cranbourne East Neighbourhood Centre
The Oreana holding is permitted for retail and medium density residential
The property across the road – which traded last June for $6.49m – is set to accommodate a supermarket anchored shopping centre
Both parcels are opposite land earmarked as an employment zone
Elsewhere in the immediate area are housing estates recently delivered by Devine
Oreana, which controls a significant retail development pipeline, recently sold a Clyde North industrial site to Black Caviar owner Neil Werrett for $130m – more than double what it outlaid in 2019

Cranbourne East Secondary College will soon have important new works undertaken, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Member for Cranbourne Jude Perera announced the upgrade, with $170,000 allocated to upgrade the school’s Wellness Centre.
The Andrews Labor Government is working to strengthen community pride in schools and build the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.
The project is part of a $3.8 billion investment by the Government to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools.
The school building boom has delivered more than 1300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5000 construction jobs for Victorians.
For further information about the Government’s record school construction and upgrade program visit the Victorian School Building Authority website: www.schoolbuildings.vic.gov.au.
“We’re upgrading schools across Victoria so families can know that no matter where they live they can access a great local school the whole community is proud of,” member for Cranbourne Jude Perera said.
“This upgrade is about more than giving Cranbourne East Secondary College students the school facilities they deserve – it’s about helping build community pride in a great local school.
“Labor built Cranbourne East Secondary College and this much needed upgrade will certainly go a long way in supporting the health and wellbeing of each and every student at Cranbourne East Secondary College.”
MAB Corporation has snapped up three adjoining Thompsons Road
sites with plans for a $400 million logistics park
the group is paying a speculated $60 million for a 32.57 hectare farm (about 29.97ha of which is developable) covering #1568 and #1580A
for the neighbouring 12.2ha tract – #1550 – which includes a Boral quarry
Both parcels are affected by the Croskell Precinct Structure Plan
which would allow 305ha of rural property between Narre Warren and Berwick-Cranbourne roads to be repurposed for business/commercial and low density residential use
MAB said the Cranbourne East properties have the benefit of established infrastructure
including an already duplicated Thompsons Rd
as well as access to retail and a “booming” residential catchment
will ultimately comprise over 180,000 sqm of state-of-the-art industrial and logistics space,” it added
“MAB will now commence work with the Victorian Planning Authority to complete the PSP”
who brokered the 1568 and 1580A Thompsons Rd deal
said six offers came in (story continues below)
said the company has been actively seeking building blocks in key regions
The Cranbourne East acquisitions expand the group’s industrial development pipeline to over 1066ha, he added, with sites elsewhere in the south east, including the 38ha Elements Business Park at Clyde North (which includes a Bunnings that sold in 2020 for $42.3m)
as well as the northern suburbs and Geelong
MAB’s portfolio is estimated will be worth over $10 billion
“The pandemic has caused some increased uncertainty in some of the traditional real estate asset classes over the past 24 months and as a result we have witnessed demand pivot to industrial and logistics assets at the development stage
which has been largely driven by the growth of e-commerce,” Mr Sagar said
“We congratulate MAB on securing one of the last remaining landholdings of this size and prominence within the booming growth corridor and we look forward to following its transformation journey into a major industrial hub,” he added
Cranbourne’s beloved social enterprise café has been given a three-month eviction notice by Casey Council
leaving the business devastated and the community angered
A petition to save the L’Arte Central Social Enterprise Café
Catering & Florist in Cranbourne East has attracted more than 2500 signatures within three days
and art space located at the Casey Administration Building at Berwick-Cranbourne Road
and participation opportunities to vulnerable and at-risk youth
Director Anthony Cheeseman said he knew very well that the building would be eventually “decommissioned” sometime in the future
but said the council caught them off guard with a short notice
the council engaged with relevant tenants of the building
to inform them of the plans for a proposed community hub
as well as the future closure of the building
The building has been assessed as an “end-of-life” asset by the council
Mr Cheeseman said that a specific timeline for the closure was not pinned down at that meeting
nor were the preferred tenant partners at the new hub other than Cranbourne Library
He heard nothing afterwards until a month ago
when he was told that the council would not renew their lease and they would have to move out by the end of June this year
the council would work with us [tenants in the building] to get us out over a period of time,” he said
“But we’re the first ones to be given the [eviction] notice
and I kept sending emails to council asking if we are going to get a new lease
they always say they are busy at the moment and they have not made the decision
“Now I got told that’s why they didn’t give me a lease
because they were never going to give me a letter of offer anyway.”
The March council meeting revealed that the proposed community hub would be completed around 2028
and L’Arte was not identified as a tenant partner
Mr Cheeseman said all they wanted was another 12-month holdover
which he believed was reasonable considering the completion time of the new hub
“We won’t be going down without a fight,” he said
Mr Cheeseman emailed Casey’s chief executive officer Glenn Patterson for help
“He said my enterprise and the community services it offers is beyond the remit of council,” he said
the council doesn’t care about people with disabilities
That’s basically what you’re saying by ‘beyond the remit of council’
Just give us the time to look for somewhere else
they should be helping us to find somewhere else.”
Mr Cheeseman said the short-notice eviction would leave 45 hardworking locals without jobs
including 30 staff and 15 participants with disabilities
“They’re very shocked because they don’t know what to do
“This social enterprise has been a cornerstone of our community since its commencement in 2019
“It’s not just a place where we get our coffee
and florist have provided employment and participation opportunities for many locals.”
Locals have spoken out in support of the cafe and disappointment towards the council
“It is sad to see that a place so important to the ones who need a special place to flourish gets taken from them,” one resident wrote under the petition
“There is plenty of time to help these businesses transition to a new home suitable to the special needs of the community
“We are not just talking about the costs involved
but the necessary time needed for the special people within
“Disgusting display of inclusivity and caring for the community.”
City of Casey chair of administrators Noelene Duff PSM said the council acknowledged the wonderful work of social enterprises
and the positive impact they had on our community
“The City of Casey has demonstrated how much we value their work via the provision of support in a number of ways in recent years,” she said
“The Administration Building where L’Arte is currently located will be decommissioned as it is at the end of its life and not financially responsible to retain
all lease agreements with tenants have been of a limited tenure
“Council first engaged with L’Arte regarding the future of the precinct in 2019
and the Administration Building in May 2023 encouraging them to consider possible new options
“As much as we want to see L’Arte continue to thrive
and therefore the responsibility to find a new location and plan around the future needs of their business sits with the owners/managers
“We are strongly committed to supporting L’Arte through this transition as much as possible
This includes linking them with upcoming tender opportunities
and introductions with prospective new landlords or property owners.”
L’Arte was set to have a follow-up meeting with the Casey Council on 19 April to discuss the transition plan

Cranbourne East Secondary College is ready to rock
with rehearsals well under way for their upcoming school musical
Just under 70 students will be performing their rendition of ‘We Will Rock You’
ably assisted by a backstage crew ensuring the show goes off without a hitch
said musicals like this are an important part of the school’s curriculum
“A lot of our kids don’t have access to shows in the community
so that’s why we do a production every year,” she explained
“That’s why a lot of teachers and students jump on board- they can’t get the opportunity elsewhere.”
Production coordinators Rebecca Grey and Jessica Latchford are providing ample opportunities for students to get their lines down pat
Rehearsals for the production are twice per week and will be ramped up in August with the addition of a Saturday practice too
“It’s a lot of time and effort
We’ve got so many eager kids that we’re able to run something like this every year,” Ms Witteveen said
The rock show is aimed at engaging students through performing arts and has tied in with a revamp of the school’s music program
Cranbourne East Secondary introduced a new performing arts pathway for year nines
drama or music and create and perform their own shows
The school has also started running open mic performances once a month
giving all students an opportunity to show off their talents on stage
‘We Will Rock You’ will be performed across three nights at Cranbourne East Secondary College

Over $500,000 in stolen vehicles and parts were recovered from a semi-rural Cranbourne East home in the morning of Wednesday 20 March
A 39-year-old man was charged by detectives from the Vehicle Crime Squad with trafficking drugs of dependence
11 counts of handling stolen goods and possessing proceeds of crime-related offences
With assistance from the Vehicle Examination Unit
a search warrant was executed at the home which stored 10 stolen vehicles
Police believe that the property was used for vehicle rebirthing
detective inspector from the Vehicle Crime Squad said “refers to modifying or removing identifying information from a stolen vehicle or parts to disguise it has been stolen”
“The wider ramifications of this kind of crime can ripple through the entire community
from someone who can’t get to work or school because their car’s been stolen
to insurance premiums being raised for everyone to cover the costs of vehicle theft.”
Other items were also seized from the home
including a small quantity of cash and a traffickable amount of suspected methylamphetamine
All of the seized vehicles were displaying cloned number plates and had their vehicle identifiers
“Rebirthed vehicles can be a major safety threat to unwitting buyers
often the process is not carried out by a qualified mechanic
meaning that the car could have serious issues which can result in an accident,” inspector Macdonald said
The suspect was bailed to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 27 March with further investigation still ongoing
