SA Police signalled for the 40-year-old to stop on Fairfax Road in Ingle Farm about 3:30am. Police said they wanted to speak to the driver about an ongoing investigation but the car pulled away from police before the chase through north-eastern suburbs. The car mounted a footpath on Walkleys Road after police used road spikes to stop the vehicle. Police allege the driver then reversed his car towards them moments before he was arrested. The man from Ingle Farm has been charged with two counts of assault, engaging in a police pursuit, acting to endanger life, and breaching bail. He will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today. Police are also looking for two sedans involved in separate pursuits at Smithfield Plains and Davoren Park. A fourth driver is also being sought, after they refused to stop for police in Underdale. None of the cars are believed to be stolen.
