Born and bred in Adelaide, Will McDonald joined the team in 2004 and presents Nine Live Adelaide, Adelaide’s 4pm afternoon news bulletin, and Nine News on weekends.
Will began his journalism career in 2000, moving to Port Lincoln for Southern Cross News. Writing, filming and editing his own stories, it was a brilliant entry into the news industry, and where he honed his skills. A year after landing in Port Lincoln, Will moved to Port Pirie to anchor the local news bulletin.
This put him in good stead to join the Nine News team, where he now reports, produces and presents news stories during the week for Nine Live Adelaide and moves to the newsdesk at weekends.

Kate Collins has been part of the 9News team for more than 18 years and presents Adelaide's 6pm bulletin alongside Brenton Ragless
Kate completed a Bachelor of Media at Adelaide University and a postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at the University of South Australia
she worked as a weekend newsreader on radio before making the switch to TV
joining the 9News team as a general reporter
She recalls her early days in the newsroom
working alongside news-reading legends Rob Kelvin and the late Kevin Crease
"Kevin was an incredible mentor to young journalists
he really wanted to see you flourish," Kate says
"Kevin and Rob were incredibly generous with their time and expertise
Kevin was always there with pointers to guide me through my first few months
I was very fortunate to have him around."
Kate is a passionate ambassador for The Childhood Cancer Association and Cure4CF and works closely with The Little Heroes Foundation
Brenton Ragless is a long-standing Presenter with the Nine Network
co-hosting Adelaide's 6pm Weekday News Bulletin & other occasional broadcasts including SA's Election coverage
the Summer Today Show & Nine's telecast of the Olympic Games in Paris
Brenton initially started with Nine in 2008 as the weekday weather presenter - his early training ground was the local fire station where his Father volunteered with the Country Fire Service
"I was only six years-old when Dad was deployed to the Ash Wednesday bushfires
and I distinctly remember the plume of 'blood orange' dust & smoke outside our window while watching the news updates - it's the earliest I can remember correlating what I saw on TV with what was occurring real-time in our neighbourhood
and it birthed in me an interest in sharing stories about disaster response & community resilience."
Brenton too became an active CFS volunteer
One of his first jobs was voicing national forecasts for Telstra's 'Dial-it Weather Information Service' while working as a Radio Announcer on Adelaide's 107.9 LifeFM
Brenton studied a Diploma of Business in Tourism
which led to casual work as a driver/tour guide for Grayline
Brenton took on a full-time role at CFS State Headquarters as a media spokesperson for the SA Country Fire Service
and later a fire and emergencies reporter for ABC radio
He graduated from a Masters Degree in Communication at UniSA in 2007
followed by a year working in Public Affairs for the Department of Defence
Brenton's 30th year in broadcasting saw him in Paris sharing the inspirational moments of our Aussie athletes in Nine's coverage of the Olympic Games
"Growing up as a family of swimmers in the 80s & 90s
our weekends were spent competing in state comps
but an injury had me out of the water for several months
so I joined mum poolside to announce the competitors behind the blocks at our local swim meets
"That first time behind the mic set me on a path to my first broadcasting role on community radio in July 1994
sharing stories about our community is still at the heart of who I am & what I'm passionate about."
and still provides support to fire and other frontline services as an ambassador for several emergency service foundations and safety programs
among other not-for-profit & charitable organisations
He also lends a hand in the preservation & promotion of South Australia's railway heritage & is a qualified steam train driver for the National Railway Museum
which includes the Semaphore to Fort Glanville Railway
Brenton still swims today & continues to share his passion for the fire service with his dad's own classic fire engine
and is father to sons Edan and James and daughter Emma
