Crown Court which is additional time during which the offender is supervised in the community after their release He had pleaded guilty to a catalogue of sex offences against underage girls at a conducted Lymath was initially charged with the reported offence along with Possession of cannabis and Possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.  Lymath was remanded into custody by the arrest in December 2024.  The long list of additional charges included: The court heard that Lymath would prey on underage children on social media under various guises that included pretending he was a 17-year-old boy and message them detectives discovered that he had been in contact with several victims from across the UK Lymath had groomed children online and had met in person them where he engaged in sexual activity He had also lured multiple victims to send explicit images of themselves by offering them payment “This sentence follows a lengthy and complex investigation to bring Lymath before the courts so that he pays for his crimes “He was a prolific sexual predator – targeting young and vulnerable children for his own sexual gratification “He manipulated his vulnerable young victims and sent them explicit videos to watch he told the child victim that he knew where they lived to manipulate them into sending him sexually explicit images Detective Chief Inspector Lisa McNaughton added “I would like to thank his victims for their courage and bravery throughout the investigation to help bring this conviction Lymath will now spend a considerable amount of time behind bars and will not be able to victimise any other children “Merseyside Police is completely committed to protecting children from sexual abuse and those who seek to do them harm.  “We hope this lengthy custodial sentence shows that victims of sexual offences are taken seriously no matter how long ago they may have taken place and will do our utmost to secure a prosecution and conviction against those perpetrating these crimes.  “If you have experienced any form of sexual abuse please come forward and report this to police “We take all such reports extremely seriously and if you can find the “None of his victims knew him before he began talking to them online where he would befriend them using either social media platforms or gaming applications to talk to random children “One particular victim told her mother and this set the wheels in motion for Lymath to be brought to justice the offending may not ever have come to light.  “This method of meeting children highlights the dangers that parents with children owning mobile phones and having access to social media need to be aware of “The Crown Prosecution Service would like to commend the courage of all of the victims in this Bottlemen are right up there with the royal names of the genre Their three studio albums have brought them a plethora of fans who go crazy for their raw Having embarked on an indefinite hiatus three years back fans of the group were unsure if they’d ever see their heroes in person again Sefton Park was the designated venue for the initial show Gig-goers filled the pubs of South Liverpool in the day leading up to the gig Rain that had plagued the city in the days prior to the show finally took its leave and everything aligned for what was to be a spectacular night… First to take to the stage for the night was Liverpool outfit The Mysterines The group have become accustomed to the big stages having supported Arctic Monkeys on their recent run of stadium shows the band treated the Liverpool audience to some of their new material amongst tracks that have proved popular in recent years The Mysterines well and truly blew the door to Catfish’s return well off its hinges the band knew exactly how to continue warming the audience up for the main event as ‘She Said’ was performed: a track that everyone in the crowd seemed to know Sundara Karma have released a new body of work not so long ago One of those new tracks on display was ‘Baby Blue’ which is the opener of the group’s recent album with all the band members combining to create a fuzzy Those in attendance at Sefton Park were treated to two seriously impressive support acts The time had come for the band to take to the stage Their signature entrance to ‘Helter Skelter’ came and the crowd erupted A flash of stage lights told all in the crowd that Catfish were here The instantly recognisable chugging guitar riff of ‘Longshot’ kicked off the set The band’s hold on the crowd was evident from the off McCann merely had to sing the opening word ‘Go’ and the crowd sang the rest for him The first chorus of the opener sent the Liverpool audience into a frenzy Catfish’s opening 25 minutes was home to some of their biggest songs to date: with ‘Kathleen’ ‘Soundcheck’ and ‘Twice’ all being unleashed ‘Soundcheck’ may have been the most notable Huge mosh pits ensued as the band smashed out huge instrumental sections Catfish And The Bottlemen have become known for their raw Their performance at Sefton Park was as raw and uncut as you could get Any doubts about the chemistry of the band since they’ve recently welcomed new members were washed away as the band effortlessly smashed out solos and huge full-band jams The entirety of the set was full of huge songs who seemed to be loving the evening just as much as the crowd as was evidenced by McCann cracking laughs and smiles at various points The closing tracks of the night were ‘7’ and ‘Cocoon’ Both had the crowd screaming at the top of their lungs There were great moments of unity between the band and the crowd with McCann conducting his 40,000-person choir as they cried out the final chorus of ‘Cocoon’ The gig came to a close and fans’ thirst had been quenched and it was performed in classic Catfish style All eyes will remain poised on the group as they are set to take on a number of tour dates… with hopes of more new music to grace our ears Words by Matthew It was truly terrifying. 'Imminent terror attack' in UK 'just hours away' before police foiled plans WATCH NOW: Bev and Andrew are joined by Peter Sefton-Williams, who was wrongly diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease Former Journalist and Marketing Manager Peter Sefton-Williams told GB News that he "could have died on the basis of an error", after being misdiagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease by two doctors. Sefton-Williams, 71, sought medical help after noticing a "tremble" and "muscle wasting" in his hand, and was referred to a Harley Street specialist. After being told by the doctors that he had the terminal condition MND, Sefton-Williams was then advised to "not make any plans past six month's time". Opting instead to take his diagnosis into this own hands, Sefton-Williams told GB News of how he instead signed himself up to Dignitas, and was arranging end of life care with doctors. Recalling the horrific ordeal, Sefton-Williams told the People's Channel: "I thought it might be Parkinson's, but I thought, please don't let it be Motor Neurone Disease, and it was. And he said, although I'm going to write that it's suspected, I have to tell you, there is no doubt whatsoever that you have Motor Neurone Disease and that you typically can live between one and a half to four or five years. "He said you should make no plans beyond six months. I was so panicked." Opening up on his decision to contact Dignitas, Sefton-Williams said he was given a "barrage of specialists" to deal with his MND and end of life care. He explained: "The day after the diagnosis, I contacted Dignitas, because they said it would take six months to do the paperwork. So I thought, I have to do this in a hurry. Sefton-Williams said he was given a 'barrage of specialists' by the NHS, including end of life care "I had breathing specialists, swallowing specialists, a whole barrage of specialists assigned to me, and I also saw a palliative care specialist to talk about my end of life care." However, after noticing his symptoms were getting better instead of worse, Sefton-Williams sought a third opinion, and was told he in fact had a different, non-terminal condition. Sefton-Williams said: "As spring turned into summer, I wasn't getting any worse. And oddly enough, I was even getting slightly better. So they sent me for some more nerve conductivity tests. And the specialist then said, no, no, no, this is not Motor Neuron Disease, this is Multifocal Motor Neuropathy. "It's very rare, it mimics the early stages of Motor Neurone Disease. But it's a mild disease, nobody dies of it, and it's largely curable." When asked by host Bev Turner how his misdiagnosis has impacted him emotionally, Sefton-Williams admitted that he is still "not over the emotional trauma" of the ordeal. Sefton-Williams told GB News that he got 'no apology' from the doctor who misdiagnosed him He concluded: "I'm hoping in a few months to start treatment. You would think I would be elated - in fact, I liken it to standing in front of a firing squad for nine months, and then somebody says, 'by the way, we're not going to shoot you'. You wouldn't jump around with joy, and I didn't. "I'm still I'm trying to mentally get over the trauma of it, if I'm frank." When questioned on whether the doctor who misdiagnosed him ever issued an apology, he revealed: "I do know that the initial doctor knows because when I did a previous interview, I got an email from him personally to say 'I hear the diagnosis has changed'.
