The Popovo History Museum will present a medieval double-edged iron sword during an exhibition on Bulgarian armaments from the 6th to the 17th century
Museum Director Vladimir Ivanov told BTA on Tuesday
the sword was made in the German city of Solingen
which is double-sided and clearly shows the image of a she-wolf
The weapon is quite heavy and has unique characteristics
The sword was donated to the Popovo History Museum in the late 1950s after having been discovered during the demolition of a private barn
It is part of the museum's permanent exhibition of the 14th and 15th centuries
The exhibition in Sofia will be organized by the National Archaeological Institute with a Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Science

Another unique find is a human-shaped balsamarium
