it also vaulted him past Austin Meier and into first place in the Built Ford Tough Series world standings with 7,782.50 points “I’m just glad to be riding good and I’m happy to be in first place but I know I have to keep riding well,” said Nunes who finished a career-best fourth in the BFTS points chase in 2008 Meier put a positive spin on his drop in the standings “I did my job the best I could this weekend,” Meier said but it wasn’t quite what I hoped for either It’s going to come down to the wire in the world title race and I’m just looking forward to every bull I get on It is part of the sport and the world title race the way it is I want to win and I’m definitely gunning for a title and we will have to wait and see what happens.” Nunes won the Pueblo Invite with 355 points on four bulls and he was followed by fellow Brazilians Paulo Lima and Valdiron de Oliveira with 343.75 and 264 points Lima won $15,600 and Oliveira took home $12,270 Nunes won the third round with a score of 90.50 on Soulja Boy.
