Brazilian studio Apiacás Arquitetos has completed this Casa Serra Azul, which takes root on a gently sloping plot in Itupeva, Brazil. The design concept for this residence stemmed from the topography of the site
leading the architects to create a single-story layout with a dispersed residential program
This approach aimed to establish a unique circulation experience — an open-air

For the construction of its Casa Serra Azul
Apiacás Arquitetos established a three-phase approach that combined prefabrication and on-site assembly
This strategy aimed to minimize environmental impact and ensure efficient use of resources
The first phase involved constructing a concrete slab that functioned as both foundation and floor
eliminating the need for extensive earthwork
Following the curing and sanding of the concrete floor in the second phase
the prefabricated wooden structure was assembled using galvanized steel components
This phase involved installing the concrete panels and frames
and fixed furniture — also designed by Apiacás Arquitetos

Eva Mendes landed in LAX airport wearing a quirky mixed print outfit matched with a retro red and blue headscarf.
The actress, 39, looked cool and casual in the tribal-style prints as she arrived in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
She matched a bold monochrome geometrical print T-shirt with some trousers in a subtler chevron design.
Eva hid her eyes behind some grey fifties-style shades and wore a red enamel bib necklace and some understated gold jewellery.
She also carried a roomy black tote bag and completed her look with some gold espadrille wedges.
But her favourite accessory seems to be her headscarf, which she has been spotted wearing on a number of occasions.
The Miami-born beauty seemed downbeat and a little coy as she arrived at the airport.
Despite looking fresh-faced in minimal makeup, she covered her face behind one hand as she was escorted by a minder.
The star is currently dating heartthrob Ryan Gosling, 32, and it is rumoured that the pair may be planning to get engaged.
A source close to Eva told Showbiz Spy: ‘Eva told Ryan that she wants to be engaged by the time she's 40,
‘But Ryan was already planning a proposal. He's been in secret talks with ring designer Neil Lane.’
The couple have been filming their latest film How to Catch a Monster in Detroit.
This will be the second time the couple have co-starred together since this year’s crime drama A Place Beyond the Pines.
