He is a victim of drowning in the San Fransisco River," the diocese said in a statement

Taking to Facebook, the church said the 35-year-old will be laid to rest on Tuesday, November 15, in the city of Jaguarari.

His burial will be presided over by Father José Vieira and Vigário Geral.
Wahome was ordained four years ago in the order of priesthood.
The Ordaining Bishop was His Lordship Bishop Peter Kariuki, the Ordinary of Embu Diocese at Consolata Shrine Nairobi.
He joined the Seminary in 2007, having his formation in Nyeri. He then joined Consolata Seminary Nairobi for his philosophical studies.
Wahome then travelled to South Africa for his theological studies in Merivalle.
After his theological studies, he was sent to have his Year of Service in St. Peter Claver Catholic Parish community.
He did his pastoral experience in both parishes of St. Peter Claver and St. Mary's Mamelodi. Later on, he was ordained as a deacon.
In 2021, Wahome began his pastoral mission in the Parish of Saint John Baptist, in Jaguarari after being sent by the Consulate Missions Institute.
