The past weeks have not been fair or easy for the New York Knicks since their elite player
has been out due to a sprained ankle injury
The Knicks have felt the absence of Jales Brunson leaving a void in their team and because of that
Jales Brunson is said to be out of the court for a few more weeks
perhaps until the end of March or early April
The 27-year-old sprained his ankle during a game early this month against the Los Angeles Lakers. Losing against the Lakers is one thing
but losing Brunson feels like a heartbreak for the team
Jales Brunson wants to return and play four more games
but is not a great swimmer and all they can do is keep their head out of the water
It has not been an easy journey for them without their star player
and they will have to keep their heads out of the water for a couple more weeks
The Knicks have sixteen games remaining and they are six games behind and struggling to catch up
Although Immanuel Quickley has tried to step in and fill that void, it still has not helped keep up with the pace and momentum the team gives when Jales is around
Immanuel Quickley has been showing some brilliance in his games on the court
the energy that Jales Brunson brings on the court is just different and the team easily blends with him
Jales Brunson’s presence goes beyond just being an excellent player; he is good with communication and positioning himself well on the basketball court
This has made it easy for his teammates to play with and understand him
and that is how it has led the team to win most of their games
There has been a fluctuation of stability without Jales
opponents have taken advantage of Jales Brunson’s absence to win against the Knicks
Yahoo Sports states that the medical team wants to see if they can speed up the healing process; however
Jales’ team is not supporting that because they care about his long-term health
then the team is good and can go to greater heights
Shams Charania of ESPN reported Saturday saying that
“The key for the Knicks and Jalen Brunson is keeping that swelling down in that ankle
and then increasing the mobility in the ankle
They know they need to get him right for the playoffs
This slow progress for both Jales Brunson and his team could frustrate their fans; however
the one who plays at his fullest potential
The Knicks continue to find ways to strategise during this difficult time to push their wins as a way to support Jales too
Jales Brunson has scored each of the Knicks’ eight overtime points thus far
The Knicks were once again depending on him to produce almost everything on offence against a Lakers squad that was on a roll

A Brazilian model is suing an Embassy Suites hotel in California after claiming her room was infested with bed bugs that left her body covered in bites and welts
Sabrina Jales St Pierre, who has worked for the likes of Victoria's Secret
said she noticed the bed bug bites on her very first night
St Pierre had been staying at the Embassy Suites in Palm Desert in 2016 when she saw the red bites spread across her legs
'Eventually she was massacred by bites covering pretty much her entire body,' Brian Virag, the model's attorney, told the Palm Springs Desert Sun.
St Pierre has filed a lawsuit against Hilton Worldwide Inc and Embassy Suites management, claiming she suffered physical and emotional distress.
She is seeking an unknown amount of monetary and punitive damages.
Virag claims St Pierre has had 'nightmares about the experience' and continues to experience 'psychological trauma and fear of bed bugs today'.
'This was especially traumatic for Sabrina because her body is her work, so this severely affected her work and her career,' he added.
'She had to continue working during the hotel stay, but the bite marks all over her body made her feel embarrassed, ashamed, and humiliated.'
Virag, who specializes in bed bug cases, has claimed that St Pierre's bites were among the worst he has seen in nearly a decade.
He added that the model had to seek medical attention for the bites 'for an extended period of time'.
Meanwhile Carlos Mendoza, the Palm Desert hotel's general manager, claims no evidence of bed bugs were ever found.
On the day St Pierre reported the bites, Mendoza said the hotel's chief engineer and housekeeping manager investigated the room for bed bugs.
When none were found, he said the hotel had an outside pest control company perform a second investigation that also did not find bed bugs.
'We did all the proper protocols and found no evidence,' he said. 'Now we have to go through the lawsuit to defend the reputation of the hotel.'
Mendoza said that the hotel still agreed to dry clean St Pierre's clothes because 'the comfort and health and safety of our guests is most important'.
'Our experience with bed bugs though is that people travel with them and bring them to hotels,' he added.
'Once they are in our rooms, we take corrective actions.'

For most of us, a case of bedbugs at a hotel might prompt a call to the manager and a shady Trip Advisor review
But when it happens to a Victoria’s Secret model
it leads to two months out of work and a hefty damages lawsuit
Brazilian model Sabrina Jales St Pierre is suing the Palm Desert Embassy Suites by Hilton for an undisclosed amount after bed bugs allegedly feasted on her skin during a stay in 2016
The mother of one suffered roughly 90 bites, or as her lawyer, Brian Virag, put it to NBC: “She absolutely got massacred”
Photographs shown by the network capture a distinctive pattern of bites spread across the model's upper back and legs
“I literally wanted to rip my skin off,” she told NBC
The Californian hotel has firmly denied Jales St Pierre's accusations
and claims both hotel management and independent pest controllers found no sign of the bugs in the model's room

Jales St Pierre claims she was well and truly in the latter camp

A VICTORIA’S Secret model who was “massacred” by bed bugs is suing the hotel where she claims she received them
after the ordeal put her out of work for two months
Sabrina Jales St Pierre said she wanted to “rip her skin off” after suffering more than 90 bites that covered almost her “entire body” while staying at the three-star Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Palm Desert in 2016
who has modelled for Victoria's Secret
filed a lawsuit against the hotel chain in June
She told NBC Los Angeles: “'I literally wanted to rip my skin off.
“The first morning, when I woke up, I noticed a couple of bites on my arm, but I didn't think anything of it. And then, the second morning is when I noticed all the bites, and that's when it got worse.”
Sabrina had been staying at the hotel while on a shoot when she woke up to find dozens of red marks and welts on her arms, legs and back.
Her lawyer Brian Virag, who specialises in bed bug cases, said she “absolutely got massacred” and that they were among the worst bites he’d seen in almost 10 years.
Sabrina said the experience caused her to suffer physical and emotional distress. Mr Virag claimed she had nightmares about it and still suffers “psychological trauma and fear of bed bugs”.
“This was especially traumatic for Sabrina because her body is her work, so this severely affected her work and her career,” he explained.
“She had to continue working during the hotel stay, but the bite marks all over her body made her feel embarrassed, ashamed, and humiliated.”
He added that Sabrina also had to seek medical help for the bites for “an extended period of time”.
It’s not the first time the hotel has been at the centre of a bed bug saga. NBC Los Angeles previously reported how Gary Bruce, a Santa Ana Police sergeant who was in one of the lead police cars during the infamous OJ Simpson pursuit in Los Angeles in 1994, claimed he suffered several bed bug bites while staying there in June.
He said: “There's no doubt in my mind it was definitely bed bugs.”
According to NBC Los Angeles, an investigation in April also revealed the hotel didn’t always change pillowcases between guests. A manager at the time said they take the health and safety of its guests “very seriously” but “sometimes human error occurs”.
A manager for Embassy Suites claimed the organisation investigated the bed bug claims for both incidents and hired a pest control company to provide an assessment, but said not bed bugs were found.
General manager Carlos Mendoza said: “We did all the proper protocols and found no evidence,” adding: “Now we have to go through the lawsuit to defend the reputation of the hotel.”
He explained: “Our experience with bed bugs though is that people travel with them and bring them to hotels.
“Once they are in our rooms, we take corrective actions.”
