Maybe you’re already familiar with Chiky Realeza and his soundtrack for the documentary Punta Sacra by Francesca Mazzoleni
which was in the running for the David di Donatello 2021 award
the son of a Sardinian mother and a Chilean father
the thirty-two-year-old rapper aims to be the spokesperson of the Italian chicanos
he has experienced social injustices firsthand
And that scream reminds us that words have weight
his track released at the end of last year which says
Prima pensa poi parla che parole poco pensate portano pena (Think first then speak because careless words can hurt)
Although the family has never spoken either Spanish or Sardinian, he is very proud of his origins. This is testified by songs such as Sudamerisardo or Moai e Nuraghes. “After living through twenty years of dictatorship
my father came to work in Italy thanks to my uncle
arrived in Ostia with her family because her father had taken over a restaurant
Practically two immigrants who meet and give life to a Sudamerisardo.” With every memory he reels off
“a revolutionary inside” who listened to the music of the people
Chiky Realeza has been to his father’s country of origin many times
although now he hasn’t been back there for several years
“I want to return to Chile as a winner
I want to show that I’m someone who doesn’t live on gimmicks.”
it is evident that Realeza is a tireless fighter who does not give in to illusions
the toll of the last year for new generations with foreign origins is decidedly negative
Nowadays we’re seeing kids of immigrants who extol gangs
This regression in my opinion is manipulated by the system because it is convenient to pit these guys against each other
He says he wants to be the spokesperson for South Americans in Italy but without the rhetoric of “we are all the same.” Because differences are important and he cares about representing the things that identify us more than skin color or the use of another language
I want a second-generation boy not to feel like a foreigner and to be proud of his origins
Although I’m sorry to sound negative
we know perfectly well that this is a pipedream
This is why Realeza has decided to tell the social injustices through his music
talking about the truths that are under everyone’s noses but that we don’t want to see
From that moment I felt the need to say things in a way that I consider intelligent
I remembered the revolutionary music my father listened to and I thought it was time to expose myself too
That’s how I started saying uncomfortable things.”
He was eventually acquitted in that case but without the accompanying prestige that one thinks of when we talk about gangsta rap
His contract with Sony was also terminated
“Luckily some people close to me helped me to get back up because I was really down and out
But it’s hard to live just by making music
I’m not ashamed of it but it’s not something that ennobles me as an artist
I would like the kids to know that even if the truth is inconvenient and doesn’t pay dividends right away
in the long run it is the right thing to do
It’s always worth fighting to be an artist
In the documentary Punta Sacra, for which Realeza penned the song Essere se stesso
the director Francesca Mazzoleni shows us the last strip of inhabited land at the Idroscalo di Ostia (Ostia’s ex-seaplane airport)
The rapper has been living there for years but not for much longer
he tells us with a bitter taste in his mouth
because soon the bulldozers will pass to knock down the remaining houses
making about three hundred families homeless
But you don’t see happy people there because it’s discomfort that unites us
The only people who are happy are the tourists who come to us in the summer
It’s a place that literally swallows you up
because if it rains for three days in a row you can’t leave the house anymore
I would like to live in a safe place where I won’t shiver if there’s too much wind because the roof is made of sheet metal
where asbestos won’t give me cancer.”
Punta Sacra is a non-place where there are few options and ignorance condemns you
Abandoned by the administration and politics
communities of Romanians and Bulgarians have settled at the Idroscalo who “are only socially accepted when they get up at 4 am to go and build the houses of others.”

HIALEAH
– Christopher Landy Mora found himself in a familiar environment Thursday
as he was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for the fourth time this year on fraud charges connected to his Hialeah used car dealership
which netted Mora seven more felony counts
the one-time car dealer is accused of defrauding a financial services company out of about $49,314 for three vehicles with open liens
police said a man who bought a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette from Realeza Motors complained of mechanical issues with the sports car and contacted Mora
who said the repairs would be under warranty
Police said the allegations date back to September 2022
had the car towed away for repairs and the victim never saw the Corvette again
They said Mora turned himself into Hialeah police headquarters — coincidentally located across the street from his old dealership — just before 7 p.m
Authorities formally booked him into TGK later that night on three counts of third-degree grand theft
two counts of scheme to defraud a financial institution and single counts of organized scheme to defraud and selling a vehicle with an altered ID
He remained held at TGK on a $17,500 bond as of Friday afternoon
Miami-Dade court records also show the previous cases remain open as of Friday afternoon
Local 10 News has contacted Mora’s attorney
seeking comment on the latest case and has not received a response as of publication
He’s previously defended his client’s innocence in statements to Local 10 News
– The owner of a Hialeah used car dealership that has since been shut down by the state has been arrested for a third time on even more grand theft and fraud charges
Hialeah police said about a month before his latest arrest
tried to smooth things over with one of his victims with romance
Mora, who owned Realeza Motors, was first arrested on March 16 after he and an accomplice were accused of leaving a 73-year-old woman in “financial ruin” by using her identity to register and finance three vehicles in her name without her permission
Cops arrested Mora again on April 6 after a vehicle consigner went to Hialeah police headquarters
to report that six out of the seven vehicles the company had on consignment with the dealership had either fraudulent title changes or were nowhere to be found
Police said Mora’s latest arrest involves two victims who said they were still on the hook for car loan payments after Mora took possession of their vehicles
despite promises that they were no longer responsible
The investigations dated back to October and continued through July
a Hialeah police officer responded to the business and found that Mora’s father was trying to reopen it under a new name
Police asked Mora’s father about one of the victim’s cars
They also asked the elder Mora about a dealer tag his son was seen driving around with that was reported lost and needed to be returned to the DHSMV
The investigator wrote that Mora’s father was “dishonest” and said
“his son did not own or have the tag in question and more so (he) did not know anything about it.”
Orlando Mora pictures (of the) exact dealer tag on a black Mercedes his son was seen driving and parked in his very own residential driveway,” the detective wrote
Orlando Mora stated (that) before the end of the day the tag would be returned to either law enforcement or the Department of Motor Vehicles and it has not been (returned) as of yet.”
Soon after police went back to the Realeza Motors lot
a victim told officers that Christopher Mora
who had hitherto blocked her calls and refused to stick to his word about paying off her Honda Civic
Mora was calling her to try to have her rescind her Hialeah police report if he would return the car to her,” the detective wrote
The woman said Mora “would continue to ask her if she was in contact with the police and if she had given any statements about him.”
The woman told police that Mora “asked for her address and said he would drop off the car but was uncertain about a time frame and said Mora “would require her not to have police there because he was afraid of being arrested and would not commit to a time so police would not be waiting nearby to catch him.”
Police said she then asked Mora about the $5,000 she had given him for the balance of her payoff and he said he did not have it
He then “proceeded to text a screenshot of his bank account showing he did not have the funds.”
the woman said Mora “had a tow truck respond to her house and drop off the car in the middle of the street with a dead battery.”
Mora called the woman later on in the evening to walk across the street to speak to her in a shopping center to avoid her cameras and “even (invited) her out on a date to gain her sympathy,” police said
Authorities said Mora turned himself in Thursday at the Hialeah police station
He was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $32,500 bond as of Friday afternoon
has previously told Local 10 News that Mora was a victim of others involved and that he looked forward to working with prosecutors on the case
Local 10 News again contacted Tapanes for comment on Friday

Though he reads from behind a lectern, it sounds as if it's fireside – he lilts through his cadences, sonorous and theatrical. He sings, too – they open with the duet Making Whoopee
I think I was actually better when I wasn't as good," he tells me later
"Because when I wasn't as good and obviously completely terrified
you get the entire 2,000 people just rooting for me."
But this audience couldn't be rooting for both of them harder
in that welcome-to-our-living-room way that Palmer – who really has played fans' living rooms – is so loved for
Readings and songs are punctuated by confusion over the whereabouts of mic stands
I think they would love it even if the two passed three hours on stage picking their noses
When Palmer performs Map of Tasmania
a song about female pubic hair the whole room
yells the refrain: "Fuck it!" These fans are intense in the way that only teenagers can be
but that audience shout is distinctly young and female
The following morning, I visit them in a SoHo apartment owned by their friend, the author and cartoonist Art Spiegelman
They are staying there while in New York but plan to move to the city properly soon – Gaiman is a professor at nearby Bard College
where he teaches a writing course on "the history of the fantastic

Palmer is in a torn khaki T-shirt and last night's eyeliner ("we've been awake about 20 minutes") and he
"Everybody there wants to feel very together," says Palmer
when I mention the intense fandom of the night before
"and there's such a community vibe that when you start to segment it
people all of a sudden feel they're not invited to the party."
As she talks I notice something keeps attracting and holding her attention on the wall to my right
Over the next hour and a half her own reflection is the recipient of a lot of eye contact
Palmer and Gaiman's relationship began over email. He blogged about liking a song of hers, she sent him a thank-you note and a correspondence was born. Eventually she asked him to caption a series of photographs she had taken of herself dead, originally meant to accompany her first solo album, 2008's Who Killed Amanda Palmer
because nobody had ever asked me to write captions for photographs of themselves dead." It was platonic and when they finally met in person (where else but the green room of New York's Comic Con)
"I didn't even think she was cute."
"I embarked on a very long tour and the tour pretty much destroyed the relationship
And somewhere in there Neil decided he was in love with me."
And then explains: "She'd been an American in Belfast and had looked the wrong way while crossing the road so she was now doing gigs on crutches
I stopped off for a day and popped in to see her gig and she came upstairs on crutches with her boot on and I looked at her and I thought: Ohhh
It was like being hit over the back of the head with a love-shaped brick
I just thought: 'I want to look after you.' And I didn't actually do anything ..."
He notices the wildly skeptical face she's pulling
She turns to me: "Neil told me as I came off stage that night he would marry me."
"I don't think I said it out loud ..."
They quibble over which occasion qualifies as their first date
"We didn't go anywhere," he says
when she suggests it was a night in LA where Gaiman
"being chivalrous and noble and English"
surprised her with a two-bed suite on the last night of a tour
"You have to go somewhere for it to be a date."
The suite's second bed turned out to be just a sofa
"that felt like the universe telling us we should probably sleep in the same bed
She chips in: "It was our first exercise in realising that our sexual chemistry was very awkward."
but he was used to making out with people in an entirely different way."
"Oh God!" he cries with a visible cringe
"You wanted to tell the entire story," she says
I just wanted to tell the funny bit about the bed."
will keep making things up and writing them down."
Those made-up things include comics, graphic novels, six books of fiction, 15 young adult works, several screenplays and a trove of short stories. His latest novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane
debuted at No 1 on the New York Times bestseller list
He is probably the higher profile of the two
something that sounds like "embarrassed"
We both have our lines in the sand on how much we communicate to the internet
my line in the sand is in Brighton and hers is in Plymouth."
of which Gaiman has said: "We would not allow another relationship to imperil what we have
And then do whatever needs to be done in the real world."
But the difficulties and delicacies of polyamory must be compounded by their other very open relationship, the one they have with their public. She has close to a million Twitter followers
his number almost two million and they talk to them all the time
"There's an art or a skill that there really isn't a name for yet," Palmer says
"but it's how to negotiate the intimacies of your real-life relationships and the intimacies of your internet sphere
Neil and I learned this lesson early on – you don't complain about the marriage on Twitter."
She has said before that,"when I go to the other room to Twitter with my followers
it feels like sneaking off for a quick shag"
but says: "If you look at the Twitter feed as just another relationship that you dominate and it feeds your ego
it does have that sense of: 'I'm tired of reality over here
I'm just going to run across the street and go where it's simple.'"
"and I think Ms Palmer has found her audience's threshold."
I put to her the possibility that the devotion of her fans functions as a sort of cocoon
perhaps blinkering her from her own actions
"If all my fans were doing was stroking my ego constantly
and never criticising me or questioning me
Sometimes the most wonderful thing about having an open dialogue and very honest relationship with my fanbase is that they're as quick to criticise me
What was their critical response to 'a poem for dzhokhar' then
"'Not your best poem but we know where you were coming from,'" she says briskly
"And a bunch of your fans going 'too soon'," Gaiman offers
but I think the difference between my fanbase and the rest of the outside world that came thundering in is that my fanbase understood the intention and didn't misconstrue it."
Gaiman seems as soft-hearted a soul as they come
I wonder how he copes with his wife being publicly attacked
"I was astounded," he says gently
"It was spilling over from Amanda's stuff to my stuff: 'Your cunt wife should have her legs cut off and a bomb shoved up her cunt for writing love poems to this terrorist.'"
"It was one of the highlights of my life having one of Neil's aged British aunts clutch my hand and say" – and she puts on an impressive English accent – 'I absolutely adored your Dear Daily Mail song.'"
"I suddenly saw a new phrase after that," says Gaiman. "I kept seeing: 'Say what you will about Amanda Palmer
we have turned some kind of corner from the Amanda haters."
"The weather will just keep constantly fucking changing
and if you let yourself be too pleased with yourself that you managed to get back into the good favour of the internet ..
The hardest thing about being attacked in such a way is how deeply misunderstood you feel
To feel misunderstood hurts a lot more than feeling disliked."
"because I couldn't ever imagine getting bored of talking to her."

has revealed that he was not allowed to seal an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu
James Rodriguez has revealed that he attempted to secure an exit from Real Madrid last season
only for the club to reject his desire to seek fresh opportunities elsewhere
The Colombia international, who joined Los Blancos in 2014 on the back of a superb World Cup in Brazil, cut a fringe figure this term as Zinedine Zidane's side claimed their first domestic title in three years
with only 419 minutes across eight league games in 2019-20 for the club
With just 14 appearances across all competitions in his latest campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu, it has been another season of frustration for the winger, who returned to the fold following a two-year loan spell with Bayern Munich
Though his trophy cabinet has been further furnished with success in La Liga
Rodriguez played a minimal role in that league title and has now opened up on his dejection
revealing that Madrid blocked a prospective move away to play regular football
"Not playing is frustrating," the 29-year-old revealed on the “Realeza del Fútbol Latino” podcast
"I know I have the conditions to always play
but I'm a person who wants to win and always play
"When you see you don't have the same opportunities as your team-mates
I wanted to leave but the club wouldn't let me."
James has often struggled to find common ground in his relationship with Zidane
and acknowledged that his lack of chances under the Frenchman was a driving factor in his attempts to move on from Madrid
"He has his own tastes for some players and you have to respect that," he added
"I don't get involved with things like that
"I wanted to go somewhere where I would have played
as I knew that I wouldn't have chances to do that under Zidane because he already has his base."
Rodriguez's future with Madrid remains up in the air as the 2020-21 season fast approaches
The Colombian's contract expires June 2021
raising the possibility that he could leave on a free transfer next summer if he is unable to exit the club this off-season
It was a very emotional moment for 63-year-old Nona Aquan when she was inaugurated as the new Carib Queen
The indigenous ceremony took place yesterday at the Carib Centre
in the presence of First Peoples and political dignitaries alike
full name Nona Lopez Calderon Galera Moreno Aquan
cried and smiled in her seat as she was surrounded and blessed by pyai (shamans or religious leaders) from TT
along with First Peoples chief Ricardo Bharath-Hernandez
will work together for the leadership and upliftment of TT’s indigenous people
The ceremony started with Aquan cleansing her face and hands with consecrated water before seating herself on a chair at the centre of a large carat shed as Bharath-Hernandez explained the history of the institution of the Carib Queen
He said the mission of Santa Rosa was established for the First Peoples but some Spanish people
He said while the chiefs had the authority there was always a female elder who would be their Keeper of Traditions
in the 1800s there was a crisis in the male leadership and so the Carib Queen was sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Church
Carib Queen Nona Lopez Calderon Galera Moreno Aquan receives her blessings from 100-year-old-Moruga Chief Paul Navarro during her inauguration at the Carib Centre
The smoke of incense and tobacco filled the air as the pyai
prayed to the great spirits in their native languages
and blessed her by wafting and blowing the smoke in her face and on her body
During the blessing by the Suriname contingent
the queen’s headdress was placed upon her head
She was then invested with special beads and a cape before several First People’s women held sacred palm branches over her head and sang spiritual songs in tribute to the queen
Bharath-Hernandez said when Jesus was born and King Herod pursued the family as they fled
palm branches fell on Mary to hide her from her attackers
Therefore the branches was a symbol of protection
Aquan knelt in front of her mother to receive her blessing – a kiss on the forehead
Aquan told members of the media she was touched and overwhelmed to see and feel her connection to all the indigenous people in TT and abroad
friends and all other supporters for being at the ceremony
Asked what she planned to work on as queen she said
“I want to see more things for the youth..
get them more involved with the community because we are stronger in numbers
I think they should have a daycare for young mothers
providing (care) so the younger ones can go out and be comfortable.”

Arima Mayor Lisa Morris-Julian attended the ceremony
I love how the First Peoples took something so colonial and made it so much theirs
The queen of the First Peoples is not just a title
She’s going to be responsible for so many things in our community
