Dorothy Schroeder in her Fort Wayne Daisies uniform circa 1949
The uniforms of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) were unique compared with previous women’s professional baseball teams
including Vassar College and the Bloomer Girl’s
which opted for more traditional jerseys and pants
Phillip Wrigley and other league officials focused on the beauty of the women chosen
This was a direct result of the war effort in 1943
as organizations looked to keep life on the home front somewhat normal and provide entertainment to keep morale high
designed the iconic one-piece short tunic all women wore
Despite wearing undergarments and long socks
their thighs were still exposed while playing
most women would suffer large bruises they nicknamed “strawberries.”
and some can be seen at The History Museum in South Bend
and The Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown

creates reproductions of uniforms for museums and libraries across the country
She has been with the AAGPBL Players Association since 1992
We worked with her to have four uniforms made for our upcoming exhibition
one for each team that Dottie Schroeder played for
This led to a difficult challenge for the museum: finding mannequins
none of the mannequins in our collection could fit the uniquely shaped uniforms
Mannequins can come in all different shapes and sizes; hands
They can come as single pieces or as a whole body
Museum-quality mannequins are most commonly made of ethafoam with a polyester fabric covering
They can range from a few hundred dollars to easily over $1,000
the museum was able to buy four mannequins from Forever 21 before their closure
After getting them back to the museum in mid-March
we put them together and got the uniforms displayed
For those who remember the 1992 classic “A League of Their Own,” they’ll be quite nostalgic
We hope to see you for the exhibition’s opening in June

"Vanderpump Rules" alum Stassi Schroeder became known for her signature blond hair upon starring in the Bravo series in 2013, but she's undergone quite a transformation over the years. Although the Bravolebrity has kept her locks lightened, she's not afraid of experimenting with different shades, from breezy dream girl blond to platinum
Fans are so used to seeing Schroeder with icy hair that many may not know her natural color is more of a dirty blond or bronde
as she revealed in a 2020 Instagram post during the COVID pandemic
A post shared by Stassi Schroeder Clark (@stassischroeder)
Schroeder appears to have started dying her hair at a young age
appearing on "The Amazing Race" in 2005 with inky black locks
When asked by Buzzfeed in 2019 if she would consider returning to brunette
I don't know." Blond hair definitely suits Schroeder
so it's no surprise she played around with different variations of the hue as she went from reality television star to a stunning mom of two
When Season 1 of "Vanderpump Rules" aired in 2013
Stassi Schroeder stole the spotlight with her fiery personality and glossy blond locks
As the only cast member with fair hair at the time
Schroeder's tresses were colored a warm caramel shade with subtle
With her slightly darkened roots and the gradual lightening toward the ends
Schroeder's shoulder-length hair took on a gorgeous three-dimensional quality that screamed quiet luxury
A year after her debut on "Vanderpump Rules," Stassi Schroeder dipped her toe into short hair with a lob
the length was versatile enough for different styles
The reality star also colored her hair a few shades lighter into a buttery blond
which complemented her skin tone and brought out her piercing blue eyes even more
In 2017, "Vanderpump Rules" fans saw Stassi Schroeder with the lightest hair color she had ever gone with — a cool platinum blond, cut into a long, blunt bob that reached her collarbones. Schroeder showed off her new 'do in an Instagram post in February of that year with the caption
"Told @tracehenningsen to make my NYFW hair match my personality: icy & blunt AF."
The cut and color obviously made an impression on fans, with several commenting that it was her best look ever. In 2020, one fan commented on the post writing
Please go back to this I'm literally obsessed."
Schroeder had also grown out her hair and incorporated layers to add some texture and volume
"Just out here trying to own my hot mom era," she shared on Instagram
while her daughter Hartford was just a toddler
so it's totally understandable why she wanted to keep her hair easy breezy
Stassi Schroeder may have quipped in 2019 that she'd never go brunette, but 2025 saw her with a luxe shade of chocolate brown that was the epitome of stealth wealth. The darker color brought out the sheen in her hair, and she had it cut in long layers that were perfect for wearing straight or in loose curls. On April 18, Schroeder showed off her fresh style in an Instagram post
with her hair in a half-up do that featured sandy highlights

Three charges were recently added by prosecutors
Schroeder waived his preliminary hearing before the arraignment
A scheduling conference was set for June 17

“Schroeder admitted he was having sexual intercourse with VICTIM 1 since 2023
and most recently at the end of March 2025
Schroeder admitted having sexual intercourse with VICTIM 1 over 50 separate times with VICTIM 1 from 2023-2025

Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa introduced a VIP guest who stayed at the Italian castle for the entire summer. Lisa Vanderpump invited Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder to stay at Castello Rosato with her husband, Beau Clark
Pump Rules fans know that Stassi always has a birthday meltdown
and her birthday in the castle was no different
The staff at Vanderpump Villa spoiled Stassi for her birthday, with a welcome dinner for her friends and family. And it wasn’t even her birthday! Beau’s sister, Georgia, was among the guests. Cue the arrival of Stassi’s dark passenger
“Beau has a habit of putting his sister Georgia’s needs before anyone else
so maybe this is just all him making up for lost time?”
However, Stassi lost it because Georgia and Beau have tattoos
and Beau didn’t want to get Stassi’s name inked on his body
“It is time you get my signature on your body
You can’t have your sister on your arm and not your wife and the mother of your children,” Stassi announced at dinner
Stassi detailed her argument with Beau on the podcast
“It was a blip on the radar,” host Taylor Strecker stated
“It doesn’t feel like a blip when it’s on national TV
And when you guys forced me to go to therapy afterwards,” the former VPR star replied
Then Stassi wondered why everyone thought that therapy would be a good choice for her
Stassi also revealed that she doesn’t have a problem with Beau’s closeness with his sister
“I love to joke about Georgia and Beau’s closeness

The new season of Vanderpump Villa has one thing going for it: the return of Stassi Schroeder
Schroeder was the main star of early seasons of Vanderpump Rules
and her ability to say the meanest thing imaginable to everyone all made her an icon of reality TV
The former SURver was eventually fired from Vanderpump Rules in 2020 for racist behavior toward ex-VPR cast member Faith Stowers
“I am the reason why I’m in this situation,” she said of her behavior
“I think a lot of people wanted me to focus on cancel culture and whether I was a victim or not
and it’s just not how I feel at all.” During her time away from our TV screens
Schroeder educated herself on race in America
gentler Stassi who shows up to Lisa Vanderpump’s Castello Rosato
But old habits die hard and she still goes apeshit on her birthday
which is part of the reason why anyone’s watching this spinoff of a spinoff
here’s a guide to the best of Stassi on Vanderpump Villa
this season of Vanderpump Villa focuses on Vanderpump taking the staff to Italy to compete over who gives the best service
That service often involves giving lap dances to/making out with guests
someone wins $30,000 and a full-time job at a Vanderpump establishment
Stassi shows up to Castello Rosato about halfway into the first episode and leaves ten minutes into the finale
have an average of three scenes per episode
usually focused on her attempting to learn Italian so she can get citizenship
“Stassi’s Birthday Meltdown,” in which she is the special guest
Stassi starts her birthday celebration with guests Georgie (her sister)
Stassi gets upset that her husband and his sister have tattoos of each other’s names
She thinks Beauty should get a tattoo of her name (something that Jax Taylor did in season two of VPR after they had broken up)
and Beau refuses because he says it’s bad luck to get a romantic partner’s name tattooed
Stassi doesn’t like this refusal and sees it as evidence that Beau puts his sister before her and that there may be latent incestuous feelings between the siblings
One of the Taylors mentions that siblings who didn’t grow up together
during which we get this incredible exchange:
Beau: I think you should check yourself about how you’re talking to me.Stassi: No
Stassi feels as though Beau values Georgia more than her because she makes him feel “unsafe.” One of the villa staff members
then calls Stassi iconic and declares how privileged he is to be “front row” to a Stassi birthday fight
“I can make you feel unsafe” is giving “I am the devil and don’t you forget it”🍹Stassi & Beau fight in Vanderpump Villa #stassischroeder #vanderpumprules #vanderpumpvilla
Lisa brings her to the villa to spy on the staff and insert herself into their personal business
For example: When she sees a staff member crying because everyone is annoyed with him
she goes to see what’s wrong and then tells him
“I can see why everyone is annoyed with you.” In fairness
She also gets involved in the crossover episode with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives when bartender Sam kisses Layla Taylor
The kiss causes Sam’s situationship to blow up
the power dynamics in this show are super-weird
Guests have to fill out comment cards at the end of their stay
noting who was the best and worst on staff
It’ll definitely get in the way of winning $30,000
Stassi says one of the staff “had to” kiss a guest during a game of Drink or Dare
Beau is mainly there to teach Stassi Italian
Beau and their children have Italian citizenship
and Stassi can get it if she can pass the language test
she suggests that maybe bribing someone is the way to go rather than actually learning the language
➽ In the first episode, she asks for a side of ranch dressing. This prompts Lisa’s husband, Ken, to ask what ranch even is. Boy, you run restaurants. You are not too fancy to know what ranch is. This is almost as fake as that time you brought up Scandoval rumors on-camera
it's officially ranch summer 💿 @t.kyle #vanderpumpvilla
she says her death-row meal would be an Aperol spritz.➽ In episode five
she lets it slip that she and Beau had sex in a ball pit after their daughter’s 1st-birthday party.➽ In episode eight
she participates in a séance and asks a ghost if they think she’s hot
Ouija board points to Yes.➽ In episode nine
she stomps grapes and worries her spray tan will leach into the resulting wine and taste weird
