Following an incredible find of <a href="https://crownheights.info/chabad-news/740161/documents-discovered-from-1906-elections-at-lubavitch-shul-in-dokshitsy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">documents from Synagogue elections from the Shtetle of Dokshitsy</a> (Dokshitz) earlier this year
another set of documents outlining an election at a Chassidic Shul has surfaced
Many of the names in the documents might be familiar
The document came from the Lyadskaya Shul in Dokshytsy
the following Board members were elected: Rabbi &#8211; Sholom son of Zundel Dreizenshtok
Councilor (gabai)- Shmuilo son of Elya Freedman
Treasurer &#8211; Leizer son of Zelik Shkolnik
The document also lists those who participated in the elections;
a small city in the Vitebsk region of Belarus
with a majority of its 3600 residents being Jewish in 1939
the Nazis killed more than 2500 people in the Dokshitsy ghetto
and the Jewish community was nearly completely decimated
