Osisko Metals Incorporated (the " Company or " Osisko Metals ") ( TSX-V: OM ; OTCQX: OMZNF ; FRANKFURT: 0B51 ) is pleased to announce new drilling results from the 2025 drilling program at the Gaspé Copper Project
located in the Gaspé Peninsula of Eastern Québec
Results for six new holes are reported below
located at the southern end of the deposit defined in the 2024 Mineral Resource Estimate ("MRE"
Robert Wares, Osisko Metals CEO
commented: "We are very pleased with these new drill results at Gaspé which continue to confirm our new geological model
New mineralization has again been added at depth
and drill hole 30-1067 further demonstrates the potential to extend the deposit to the south
DDH 30-1067 was terminated in an undocumented stope above the C zone
Further drilling will be conducted this month to test the deeper stratigraphy in this area for extended mineralization (to the base of the E zone
about 316 metres below hole 30-1067."
Table 1: Drill hole mineralized intervals
*Holes marked by an asterisk intersected stopes and did not reach targeted depths
The deposit remains open to the south and southwest
Drill holes 30-1062 and 30-1066 are located at the southeast margin and to the east of the 2024 MRE limit (respectively)
and these two holes did not intersect significant mineralization
indicating that the deposit may not extend towards the east
All holes were drilled sub-vertically into the altered calcareous stratigraphy which dips 20 to 25 degrees to the north; true widths are estimated at 90-92% of reported widths
The L1 (C Zone) the L2 (E Zone) skarn/marble horizons were intersected in most holes
as well as intervening porcellanites (pale green to white potassic-altered hornfels) that host the bulk of the disseminated copper mineralization
The November 2024 MRE was limited at depth to the base of the L1 skarn horizon (C Zone)
and all mineralized intersections below this horizon represent potential depth extensions to the deposit
to be included in the next scheduled MRE update in H1 2026
Mineralization occurs as disseminations and veinlets of chalcopyrite and is mostly stratigraphically controlled in the area of Needle Mountain
no significant molybdenum mineralization was encountered in porcellanites in the latter areas
but high grades (up to 0.4% Mo) were locally obtained in both the C Zone and E Zone skarns
The bulk of the molybdenum mineralization occurs in veinlet stockworks further north at Copper Mountain
where true porphyry copper-style mineralization occurs
forming a distinct secondary mineralized zone that is characterized by widespread
continuous copper-molybdenum stockwork mineralization radiating from the central source of hydrothermal fluids
At least five vein/stockwork mineralizing events have been recognized at Copper Mountain
which overprint earlier skarn/porcellanite-hosted mineralization throughout the Gaspé Copper system
The 2022 to 2024 Osisko Metals drill programs were focused on defining open-pit resources within the Copper Mountain stockwork mineralization
Extending the resource model south of Copper Mountain into the poorly-drilled primary skarn/porcellanite portion of the system subsequently led to a significantly increased resource
mostly in the Inferred category (see November 14
The current drill program is designed to convert of the November 2024 MRE to Measured and Indicated categories
as well as test the expansion of the system deeper into the stratigraphy and laterally to the south and southwest towards Needle East and Needle Mountain respectively
is the Independent Qualified Person responsible for the technical data reported in this news release and he is a Professional Geologist registered in the Province of Quebec
Mineralized intervals reported herein are calculated using an average 0.12% copper lower cut-off over contiguous 20-metre intersections (shorter intervals as the case may be at the upper and lower limits of reported intervals)
Intervals of 20 metres or less are reported unless indicating significantly higher grades
Osisko Metals adheres to a strict QA/QC program for core handling
including insertion of blanks and standards in the sample stream
Drill core is drilled in HQ or NQ diameter and securely transported to its core processing facility on site
Samples selected for assay are sealed and shipped to ALS Canada Ltd.'s preparation facility in Sudbury
Sample preparation details (code PREP-31DH) are available on the ALS Canada website
All samples are analyzed by four acid digestion followed by both ICP-AES and ICP-MS for copper

Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien was known as the “Mayor of the Fair” at Expo 67
the hugely successful world’s fair held in Montreal in 1967 to celebrate Canada’s 100th birthday
who died at his home in Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains on April 9 at the age of 97
was lured away from his entrepreneurial life at 35 to become the event’s director of operations
it wasn’t certain that Expo 67 would be ready on time
There were federal politicians who weren’t keen on it
finance minister in Lester Pearson’s cabinet
Beaubien’s own father predicted the fair would never open
with whom the son had a rocky relationship
Beaubien seemed like the perfect catch: flawless in French and English
a self-confident extrovert with movie star good looks
He never disappointed the people who hired him
and he became part of a group known as the Big Five
the men who built and ran what is now generally seen as the most successful world’s fair of the 20th century
“He was the public face of Expo,” said John Lownsbrough
Beaubien extensively for his 2012 book The Best Place to Be: Expo 67 and Its time
“He was a man who was very cultivated in his appearance
I was expecting someone a little bit more austere

Beaubien’s first assignments was going to Paris as part of the Expo 67 delegation to convince the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE)
the body governing official world exhibitions
that the Montreal site would be ready on time
“Beaubien remembers the BIE meeting room being so packed with people
which is where he overheard two Frenchman in front of him dismissing the exhibition’s prospects with the utmost condescension
No way the Canadians could pull this one off,” Mr
Beaubien told the author: “We came back with feeling that this was what Europe was thinking of us
While he was in Paris he had another task: interview the woman who would receive the world leaders
a Polish immigrant to Montreal who spoke five languages and had diplomatic experience in Paris
she ran the diplomatic receptions at the pavilion on Île Sainte-Hélène

“Philippe was my boss for the final two years I worked at Expo 67,” said Diana Thébaud Nicholson
who worked in public relations promoting the fair starting in 1963
She worked as one of his two executive assistants and helped write the final report after the fair closed
“His legacy includes a brilliant career in business and philanthropy and a much-admired nurturing of the family he adored

changing its name from Cote-Sainte-Catherine (still the name of the main road in the inner suburb)
Outremont is a borough in the island wide Montreal Urban Community
He was the first of six children and in a documentary he sponsored on his life
he recalled that he was spoiled by his mother
I had to take care of the other members of the family
My father wasn’t all that stable because he had lost his wife at a young age
Young Philippe was ambitious from the start
He was first in his class at his private school
He graduated from the University of Montreal
His next-door neighbour was Pierre Trudeau
who in 1953 invited him on a road trip to Boston
He recalled that the man interviewing him for admission spent most of the time quizzing him while looking out the window at a football game
His naysaying father warned that he would never be accepted
Beaubien sits with Queen Elizabeth II at a reception in July
Beaubien was shocked that professors at Harvard expected him to think on his own rather than learning by rote
Beaubien had a serious car crash and was hospitalized
The couple married six months later and Ms
Beaubien finished her master’s degree at McGill University
which in five years became the largest trucking firm of its type in Canada
pulled its support and bought Beaubien Distribution from him
offering him the job as director of operations at the World’s Fair in Montreal
He worked on promoting the fair before it opened
meeting every visiting dignitary and visiting the site every day on a golf cart
Expo 67 made Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien an unblemished household name
“After Expo I wanted to start my own company,” he said in the documentary
And after all the positive coverage from running Expo 67
Power Corporation asked him to run Telemedia
which owned a string of radio stations in Quebec and Ontario
The job offer came with an option to buy 15 per cent of the company’s shares
“I saw an opportunity to have something of my own,” said Mr
whose ambition was to build on his family’s entrepreneurial record
walked into his office with an offer he couldn’t refuse
Beaubien if he would like to make an offer to buy Telemedia
He jumped at the opportunity,” his wife said
Beaubien managed to put together the financing but then he set about making his company profitable
which didn’t make him popular with all his employees
became part of what became known as the October Crisis
The Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ) sent its demands and manifesto to the radio station
The FLQ revolutionaries helped make CKAC a raging success
“We were the first French-speaking Canadian media company to grow in English-speaking Canada,” Mr
including the Canadian edition of TV Guide
17 magazines and 24 weekly newspapers across Canada in both French and English
Beaubien was always in demand as the face of worthy organizations
Beaubien to become chair of the Canadian Council on Fitness and Sports
a Canada-wide program promoting physical activity
Perhaps its most famous campaign was the ad that compared the fitness of a 30-year-old Canadian to that of a 60-year-old Swede
Beaubien joined with Ted Rogers and Sam Belzberg to win a licence from the CRTC to operate Cantel
his board said the company was operating in too many directions
Telemedia gave up on the cellphone business
Beaubien gave control of the company to his three children
magazines and other assets to several other companies
Canadian Business magazine said the family was worth $740-million
which has a division that advises family businesses on succession
One of his two sons commented on his father’s legacy
“My father’s leadership helped shape modern Quebec and Canada
and his influence was felt well beyond our borders
He leaves behind not only a legacy of visionary accomplishments in business and philanthropy
but also a lifetime of unforgettable memories for us
He was a devoted family man whose boundless energy and passion touched everything he built – and everyone he met
He has left an indelible mark on all who knew him,” François de Gaspé Beaubien said
Beaubien received many honours and accolades throughout his life
including honorary doctorates from York University
He was inducted into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame and the Canadian Business Hall of Fame

GASPÉ- The Quebec Department of Transport is once again postponing the deadline to rehabilitate the reopening of the railroad to Gaspé
the provincial government promised to reach Gaspé in 2022
all the regional stakeholders in the file estimate that the terminus of the line will not see its first train until the fall of 2027.
“It is a disappointment,” says Gaspé Mayor Daniel Côté
who participated in a rail work monitoring committee with the authorities of the Quebec Ministry of Transport on January 22.
“We’re being told about 2027 in the broad sense
but I would venture to assume that it’s probably later than 2027,” Daniel Côté continued.
two major calls for tenders remain suspended by Transports Québec
the Ministry of Transport announced that it was cancelling these calls for tenders
citing significant differences with the estimated budget required
The first call launched on March 21 faced nine postponements
Pomerleau submitted a bid for $258 million
while Partenariat Ferroviaire Gaspésie suggested $286 million to complete the work
The work involves repairing two bridges in Gascons
a bridge in Grande-Rivière was to be replaced
and a retaining wall in Pabos Mills is also part of the bid.
The contract duration was estimated at 28 months
which had originally provided for the repair or construction of nine infrastructure projects
but for which the price request was ultimately only for bridges
The targeted sites were a small bridge in Pabos Mills
the Barachois bridge and the road bridge on Highway 132 in Barachois.
The Ministry of Transport had removed the four retaining walls at Anse-à-Beaufils and Sandy Beach from the project
The ministry indicated that the revised contract was estimated at over $50 million
Pomerleau submitted the lowest proposal of $79 million
only Pomerleau had submitted a bid of $104 million
the ministry will review its planning for awarding contracts with the aim of completing the entire project
the design and the strategy for grouping the work will be reviewed with the aim of obtaining more competitive bids during the next calls for tenders,” the ministry said in a January 22 press release
it will be possible to present a new completion schedule for the remaining work between Port-Daniel-Gascons and Gaspé
“Everything is being done to complete all the work up to Gaspé as quickly as possible,” the ministry added.
“This is the process we got bogged down in
The time it takes to get out of the process is time we’re not spending doing work
That largely explains why the work is delayed and why we’re disappointed,” says Mayor Côté.
The total of the tenders could now surpass $517 million
the sum budgeted by Transports Québec for the Port Daniel-Gaspé stretch of railroad
Some contracts have already been awarded on that section.
“It (another delay) is not really a surprise
knowing that barely 50% of the contracts were awarded on the third section and that there were calls for tender rejected
It was inevitable,” comments the president of the Société du chemin de fer de la Gaspésie
all the work would have had to be given in 2024,” adds Mr
“The calls for tenders compared to the estimates have exploded
When they are not able to explain the discrepancies and with the leeway they can afford
they have to find solutions to return to calls for tenders,” he continues.
“What will be important is for the ministry to come out with calls for tenders as soon as possible so as not to lose another year,” says Mr
“The definition of spring is not a specific date
We want it as soon as possible to have an answer as quickly as possible
We will just know when the calls for tenders open if there will be other delays
We have just lost 2024,” says President Dubé.
bids should be called in February so as not to lose 2025
“They are working very hard to go to calls for tenders so as not to lose another year,” continued Mr
The Société du chemin de fer de la Gaspésie could be asked to do more work to give a boost to the rehabilitation.
The ministry came to us with an additional bridge in Caplan since the section will not be open before June
It’s a big project and we will be able to deliver
That’s the role we can play to help,” says Mr
The superstructures will not be able to be built by the company
but the culverts and level crossings could be taken care of.
Will a budget of $1 billion be needed to complete the entire refurbishment?
“We asked ourselves whether additional funds will be needed
it will be difficult to ask for more until we have spent all the money we have
The ministry is working on the objective of carrying out the necessary work
The work will continue in 2025 on six sites between Port-Daniel-Gascons and Gaspé.
The interventions include the reconstruction of seven structures (five bridges and two walls)
protection work against coastal erosion and submersion and interventions on the components of the railway for the entire section
with changes of ties as well as ballasting and levelling work.
Section two between Caplan and Port-Daniel-Gascons should be put into service this spring.
“It will depend on how quickly the ministry awards contracts for the third section by summer
“We have political assurances that the file will be settled and that the last section to Gaspé will not be abandoned even if there were delays and additional costs,” says Daniel Côté.
The postponement of another year to reach Gaspé will have impacts on the economic development of the Rocher-Percé and Côte-de-Gaspé MRCs.
The ministry asked the company to find out if this announcement will have financial impacts on it
we have not yet quantified the impacts since we are one year behind
We will have to talk with the companies and the economic departments of the MRCs concerned to see what they had in their book,” says Mr
It will have no impact on the Mines Gaspé revival project in Murdochville since exploitation is planned for around 2030.
The picture could be different for LM Wind Power in Gaspé
the size of the blades that were previously transported by truck to New Richmond to be placed on a train.
“This is an issue that we will have to quantify
Knowing that we would be in Port-Daniel in 2025
we have to see if we can transship them closer to the manufacturing point
It’s a bit like when we started transshipping them in New Richmond: we were supposed to do it for two years
“It’s a thorn in the side,” says Daniel Côté when asked about the credibility of the rehabilitation schedule that has been postponed again.
“It always sounds a bit strange for companies for whom deadlines are important
We don’t necessarily have a million companies running after us
We can’t guarantee 2026-2027.” We have to postpone it to 2027
It has an impact on our credibility in our town and our region
There are elements over which we have no control other than to exert pressure
but there are things that are beyond our control
but it is certain that it has an impact on our credibility,” adds the mayor of Gaspé

Campaign for CanadaNewsEconomy, housing major election concerns in coastal QuebecBy Sarah PlowmanOpens in new windowUpdated: April 17, 2025 at 7:03AM EDT
Gaspé Mayor discussed with the Minister Delegate for the Economy
the importance of including Quebec and regional content in Hydro-Québec’s upcoming agreements for 10,000 megawatts of wind energy set to be produced by 2035.
This follows the mayor’s earlier push at the end of September
which led to a debate in the National Assembly
the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) government refused to debate a motion from the Parti Québécois on October 10
closing the door on a formal discussion at that level.
Daniel Côté sees a form of openness after the discussion with Christopher Skeete who was accompanied by Gaspé Member of the National Assembly (MNA)
“There are different possibilities that I perhaps didn’t see at the outset
There are legal mechanisms that allow the government to have a certain form of protectionism
That’s not how it’s written in the law but it gives the government a certain amount of leeway than I had initially estimated,” says the mayor.
“But I still feel the absence of mandatory local
Nothing would prevent Hydro-Québec from buying blades in China
they will want to support Quebec’s purchase of Quebec components
and I understand that there is a political orientation
but I would also like people in the industry to be reassured
It’s too important to say that I’m throwing in the towel and closing the file,” he says
recalling that Quebec will never be able to compete against China
which could dump manufactured products from Asia
If they are competitive on the American and global markets
The vice-president of the Eastern Energy Alliance and mayor of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
indicates that the organization has already had these discussions.
“We have not taken a clear position on regional content or Quebec content
Where I have a reservation is that if I take the example of LM Wind Power
100% of their production was exported outside Canada
we must ensure that we are not played tricks by other countries that our companies export to and also do good business in these countries
I am in favour of Quebec content,” declares the vice-president
“Our basic mission is to promote the development of the wind energy sector in Eastern Quebec and to invest to obtain significant economic benefits for each of the communities of Gaspésie
Bas-Saint-Laurent and the MRCs of l’Islet and Montmagny,” recalls Mr
“It is up to Quebec companies to position themselves well with the predictability that we currently have with the development of the wind energy sector,” says Mr
Gaspé’s first participatory budget initiative
which allows citizens to submit and vote on local projects
with six qualifying and five advancing to a public vote.
I will admit: we were very unstructured this year and
it is a big turnout with several projects submitted,” comments the mayor.
Projects up for public voting include a local product sales point in Douglastown at a cost of $50,000
the development of a multi-sports field at Sandy Beach estimated at $17,000
a drinking water system at Charlie O’Brien Park via a cistern system in Haldimand that would cost $30,000
new play modules at Saint-Paul School in the Saint-Maurice-de-l’Échouerie sector at $50,000 and a pickleball court in Cap-aux-Os at an expense of $23,000.
The town of Gaspé had budgeted $50,000 for this first edition.
It is possible that if two projects under $50,000 are ranked in the first results
we will carry out more than one,” maintains the elected official
Without officially announcing the return of the participatory budget in 2025
Daniel Côté clearly wants it to return.
“We haven’t made a final decision at the council but
I think the council will have a favourable bias for 2025,” suggests the mayor.

Quebec production facility caused the recent blade break at the Vineyard Wind energy project that sent pieces washing up on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts
“Now we must all work to ensure that the failure of a single turbine blade does not adversely impact the emergence of offshore wind as a critical solution for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and addressing the climate crisis,” wrote the U.S
“wind power is one of the safest forms of energy generation.”
The CEO’s statements about the manufacturing deviation were made at GE Vernova’s second quarter earnings conference call July 24
we have no indications of an engineering design flaw,” CEO Scott Strazik said
“We have identified a material deviation or a manufacturing deviation in one of our factories that
through the inspection or quality assurance process
we’re going to use our existing data and reinspect all of the blades we’ve made for offshore wind.”
On July 13, a blade broke on one of the turbines installed at the Vineyard Wind project
located 15 miles off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard
Project operations were suspended by the U.S
Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement as a result
View our latest digests
The broken turbine blade and the hardships borne by Nantucketers have attracted widespread attention across media outlets. And as Grist noted
“addressing the problem and cleaning up the mess the accident created may be faster and easier than addressing the damage it may have done to public perception of wind.”
Though the event is being used by critics to denounce wind farms
advocates are pointing to the relative rarity of wind turbine accidents compared to those associated with fossil fuel production
no injuries to people or wildlife have been reported in association with the turbine accident
In a 2015 report, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Wind Energy Technologies Office stated [pdf] that while no industry “assessment of catastrophic wind turbine failures” had yet been completed
“they are considered rare events with fewer than 40 incidents identified in the modern turbine fleet of more than 40,000 turbines installed in the United States as of 2014.”
In that same year, the U.S. Department of Transportation reported 113 accidents “impacting people or the environment” from fossil fuel and biofuel pipelines
A total of 72 such incidents were reported in 2023 alone
And the U.S. Center for Biological Diversity published a map that showed 8,000 “significant” pipeline incidents in the U.S
Before it delivered its first set of turbine blades to Scotland’s Orkney Islands, Lunderskov MØBELFABRIK had been a wooden furniture manufacturer that first opened its doors in Denmark in 1940
like those used for the Vineyard Wind project
GE Vernova has paused production at the facility while the company inspects the blades
the blade broke because it “left the factory with insufficient bonding—the glue.”
According to Reuters
none of the other four offshore wind projects currently under construction in the U.S
GE Vernova is moving to reinspect the blades produced by the company—a large task
but of a kind that Strazik insisted “is work we know how to do.” He pointed to “non-destructive testing” that uses procedures like ultrasound to identify deviations

Québec is Canada’s French-speaking province
renowned for its mix of European beauty and Québecois heritage
for the architecture of Quebec City and the hustle of Montreal (the second largest French-speaking city in the world)
Québec is “la belle province” - the beautiful province - home to mountains
It's said that there around a million lakes in Québec
All of the above makes Québec an adventurer’s dream, as route-designer and round-the-world cyclist Markus Stitz found out in his latest outing
Stitz’s latest short film showcases an 838-mile (1,350km) ride around the province
and showcases the intense beauty of this varied place
His movie was entirely with cameras carried by bike
Stitz’s route was inspired by the La Transgaspésie route and La Route verte du Québec from Vélo Québec
The journey saw Markus ride from Matane to Gaspé
via (amongst other places) the National Park Du Bic
the Forillon National Park and a whole lot of coastline
“This trip reminded me of my round-the-world trip in 2015/16
when I didn’t set off with a fixed itinerary
but instead changed my route to adapt to the circumstances I faced,” said Markus of his journey through Québec
“I just went where the nice weather was and the interesting places were
and I really enjoyed this more spontaneous approach.”
which range from 62.6 miles (100km) to 101 miles (162km) in length
“Bikepacking trips offer me the opportunity to experience places at my own speed without leaving a trace,” Stitz says
“Gravel cycling allows me to get to most places
to experience Gaspésie and Bas-Saint-Laurent in all its facets."
The name Gaspé is thought to originate with the Mi'kmaq - an indigenous group of the Northeastern Woodlands
that Jacques Cartier planted a cross and claimed the land for France in 1534
Samuel de Champlain had founded Quebec City
a settlement that would grow into the beating heart of what was then known as New France
Quebec remained deeply tethered to its European origins
its people adapting to the cold winters with a stubborn pride that very persists today
the province refused to shed its French identity
cultivating a fierce independence that still defines it
The first villages on the coast of Gaspésie were accessible only by boat
the Intercolonial Railway Line was completed
The construction of the coastal road was then completed in 1929 and made it possible to explore Gaspésie by car
Grab your bicycle and you can get a whole lot closer to the striking beauty of the province - be that the wide St
the rugged beauty of the Parc National du Bic or the rolling forests beyond
Markus rode the route on a Tout Terrain Scrambler, and also teamed up with Klickfix (who provide accessories for bikepacking) for the journey

located near Murdochville in the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec
The updated MRE (Table 1) includes pit-constrained resources comprising 824 million tonnes grading 0.34% CuEq of Indicated category and 670 million tonnes grading 0.38% CuEq of Inferred category
This MRE represents a 53% increase in copper-equivalent metal content over the previously reported Indicated Resource and a 100-fold increase in copper-equivalent metal content in Inferred Resources (see May 6
2024 news release and entitled “2024 Copper Mountain Mineral Resource Estimate”)
At 4.91 billion pounds (2.23 million tonnes) of contained copper (Table 1)
as well as significant molybdenum (274 million pounds) and silver (46.0 million ounces)
the latest Gaspé Copper in-pit Indicated Resource hosts by far the largest undeveloped copper-molybdenum deposit in Eastern North America
commented: “We are very proud to announce this updated resource estimate for Gaspé Copper
The overall resource has increased dramatically since last spring’s MRE as a result of new geological modelling and extending the modelled Whittle pit boundaries towards Needle Mountain to the south
A minimum 70,000 metre drill program is now planned for 2025
with the objective of converting the bulk of the current Inferred resource to Indicated category
There is also excellent potential for converting currently categorized in-pit waste rock to mineralized material with this drill program
which would further grow the in-pit resource while reducing the strip ratio
This MRE represents a much larger resource than was estimated previously
presenting the potential for a bulk tonnage mining operation with significantly higher throughput
to a later date until additional new drilling is completed
Ongoing studies will focus on a larger-scale mine plan and relocation of the mill complex away from the current site.”
Wares continued: “We are proud to be leading the Gaspé Copper project
which is shaping up to be a major Canadian copper-molybdenum development project located in one of the world’s safest mining jurisdictions
This important asset has the potential to become a core component of Québec’s critical mineral development strategy that aims to provide essential metals for global decarbonization initiatives.”
Table 1: Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) Base Case at 0.12% Copper Cut-off
This significantly larger resource estimate is the result of:
Building upon the information released in this updated MRE
a minimum 70,000 metre drill program is planned to commence in May 2025 that will aim to 1) convert Inferred resources to Indicated category by reducing drill spacing to 100 metres or less within the pit volume
2) better define higher-grade (0.5 to 1.5% % Cu) mineralization within pit boundaries in the B-Zone and C-Zone skarn horizons
shallower B-Zone and C-Zone skarn mineralization (near Needle Mountain) beyond current pit boundaries and 4) test shallower (above 600 m depth) portions of the high grade (2%-3% Cu) E-Zone skarn for inclusion into the pit volume
Implications of larger open pit resource at Gaspé Copper
The current modelled Whittle pit shell extends from the current flooded Copper Mountain pit towards the base of Needle Mountain to the south
geological modelling and pit optimization will be required to refine pit boundaries
The Company will evaluate future pit limits and the possibility of reconfiguring the current layout of the site to minimize disturbance and ensure the protection and safety of the residents of Murdochville and the surrounding environment
General parameters of the updated Mineral Resource Estimate
This MRE is pit-constrained and includes stockwork mineralization surrounding the past-producing Copper Mountain open pit mine as well as disseminated
stratiform mineralization in both skarn and potassic-altered hornfels (porcellanite) that extends up-dip from Copper Mountain towards Needle Mountain to the south
a lower cut-off of 0.12% Cu for pit shell modelling and a lower cut-off grade of 0.12% copper for base case in-pit resource estimation
The resource was estimated using data from historical drilling completed between the 1950s and 2019 and 42,100 metres of drilling completed by the Company between 2022 and 2024 (see Appendix for detailed parameters)
Table 2 shows the resources reported at various in-pit cut-off grades within a pit shell modelled at a lower cut off of 0.12% Cu; the base case resource cut-off grade reported herein is 0.12% copper and is highlighted in bold text:
Table 2: Mineral Resource Estimates at Variable Cut-Off Grades
Same footnotes as Table 1 apply to this table
Appendix – parameters and criteria used for the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE)
Cautionary Statement Regarding Copper Equivalent Grades
Copper Equivalent grades are expressed for purposes of simplicity and are calculated taking into account: 1) metal grades; 2) estimated long-term prices of metals: US$4.00/lb copper
$20.00/lb molybdenum and US$24/oz silver; 3) estimated recoveries of 92%
Mo and Ag respectively; and 4) net smelter return value of metals as percentage of the price

Osisko Metals (TSX-V:OM; OTCQX:OMZNF) has shared new details about its summer activities for the Gaspé copper project near Murdochville in Quebec's Gaspé peninsula
The company’s president and CEO Robert Wares announced that the work to reopen the mine is advancing. “Our 2024 drilling program is progressing well
as is surface water characterization of the mine site and surrounding area
Detailed sampling of the pit waters as well as experimental fishing downstream from the mine site are also planned to better understand the health of fish populations and the potential impacts of pit dewatering.”
11 exploration drill holes have been completed at Needle Mountain
Core samples are being analyzed for copper
and molybdenum to evaluate additional mineral resources
with a 4,500-metre program to better understand the resource in the deposit’s core
Pit wall stabilization is in progress to ensure safety
The team is also conducting a detailed survey of surface waters at the mine and nearby areas
nearly 70 sampling stations were set up to evaluate water quality
This monitoring will continue through the summer and fall to provide a complete overview
Additional water samples will be taken from the Copper Mountain pit
and sediments at the bottom will be analyzed
This data will help plan dewatering processes and reduce impacts on the York River and its salmon population
The preliminary economic assessment (PEA) is expected to be published in early 2025

("Gitennes" or the "Company") – (TSXV:GIT) announces that visible gold was found in two locations on its 100% owned VG Boulder Property (“the Property”) during a recently completed reconnaissance programme (Figure 1 and 2)
The programme also located a new showing on the Property containing anomalous antimony
To cover additional favourable geology along structures that control mineralization in the Gaspe Region the Company has increased the size of the Property
Visible gold found in boulders in two ocations on the Property;
Locations are 50 metres apart and in the vicinity of historically reported visible gold in large angular boulders (58 g/t) (Figure 3);
Arsenic and Cobalt mineralization in a new location;
Property increased from 1,250 hectares to 5,787 hectares to cover favourable geology along major structure and splays
New claims cover 14 km strike of the prospective Grand Pabos Fault Zone
same fault as found in Newfoundland (Figure 4);
Historically reported old (22.4 g/t) and ntimony (15.4%) in outcrop;
Property covers geology and structure that is similar to recent gold discoveries in Newfoundland
Figure 1: Boulder of brecciated sediment with quartz flooding containing visible gold (See Fig 2 below for close-up of gold mineralization)
Figure 2: Close-up of quartz with visible gold mineralization from brecciated sediment
President commented: “The results from Gitennes initial programme are very encouraging
To find visible gold in two locations further highlights how prospective the VG Boulder Property is and validates historically reported high grade gold in boulders and outcrop
With the addition of approximately 4,500 hectares Gitennes has now established a major foothold in the area and the new claims cover prospective geology and the key structures which appear to control the gold mineralization
The main structure on the Gitennes claims
is the same key structure that is host to the recent discoveries of high grade gold in Newfoundland
Gitennes looks forward to the next programmes on VG Boulder which will consist of an airborne magnetomer/electromagnetic (“EM”) geophysical survey and follow up ground work in early 2022”
The Company also announces that it has increased the size of the VG Boulder Property to cover additional favourable geology and key structures that are associated with gold mineralization in the area
The property size has been increased to 101 claims (5787 hectares) (Figure 3)
The new claims cover 14 km strike length of the prospective New Pabos Fault Zone
Figure 3: VG Boulder Property Highlights showing area of recent gold bearing boulder samples and historically reported gold grades
The VG Boulder Property is located in the Gaspe Region of Quebec (Figure 5) and covers geology and structure that is similar to recent gold discoveries in Newfoundland
The gold mineralization in the region is traditionally hosted by structures related to the Grand Pabos Fault
a major regional structure that can be traced across the entire Gaspe Peninsula and into Newfoundland where major gold discoveries have been made recently (Figure 4)
Figure 4: Key Structures
and Relation to Gold Deposits including mineralization on Gitennes VG Boulder Property and recent gold discoveries in Newfoundland
Recent research has revealed that gold mineralization is related to the Ordovician to Silurian-aged closing of the Iapetus Ocean
This ancient suture in the earth’s crust extends from North America
across the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland (Figure 4)
Major gold deposits are associated with this event in Newfoundland and Ireland and structure is found to be a key aspect of these deposits and the critical control of gold mineralization including gold mineralization in the Gaspe Region of Quebec
Figure 5: Location Map – Gitennes Gaspe Properties
Gitennes is in the business of exploring for and advancing mineral properties with a focus on high grade or large tonnage gold deposits
The Company currently has five gold properties in Quebec
the Snowbird gold property in British Columbia and a 1.5% Net Smelter Return royalty on the 18 million ounce Urumalqui Silver Project in Peru
Gitennes owns 100% of its Quebec gold properties except for New Mosher which is under option for Gitennes to earn an initial 70% with the right to increase its ownership to 85%

Spring in this maritime region means harsher weather and fewer crowds
By Carolyn Heller & Roadtrippers
Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula has four distinct seasons
But instead of “spring,” it’s more like “the season of anticipation” in early May when I follow Highway 132 around the finger of land jutting into the Gulf of St
Early spring in northeastern Quebec is also not a traditionally Instagrammable season—the silver gray of a church steeple nearly disappears against the steel gray of the river or the taupe gray of the bare trees
I fear that it will blow the door right off
But on a solo road trip in this quiet season
I have plenty of space to myself as I navigate the 90-year-old waterfront highway
There are few other visitors as I check out unusual sculptures sticking out of the river
I learn something of the region’s dark history
as fishing boats begin to return with their spring catch
I get my first glimpse of the Gaspé’s red cliffs
I learn that “Miguasha” means “red earth” in the Mi’kmaq language of the First Nations people whose traditional territory encompasses the Gaspé region
The park tells the story of the Devonian period (the “age of fishes”)
when sea creatures evolved into organisms that walked on land
A park interpreter shows me dozens of well-preserved fossils of fish and primitive amphibians
most of which are casts of the originals that scientists dug from the surrounding cliffs
In the waterside town of Carleton that evening
I wander into Bistro La Talle and find that I’m the only diner
turns down the tunes low enough to tell me that it’s wild mushroom season
I opt for feuilleté aux champignons sauvages
a crisp pastry stuffed with mushrooms foraged nearby
Still others eventually came back to eastern Canada where their descendants live today.
the “pierced rock,” is a slab of reddish limestone with a gravity-defying arch
After Percé’s eerie, off-season feel, I’m relieved that Bistro Bar Brise-Bise in the town of Gaspé is full
I decide not to tackle the massive plates of seafood nachos
and instead dig into a crunchy salad layered with locally caught shrimp
At Musée de la Gaspésie
I venture out on a surprisingly convincing virtual reality voyage on a 1960s fishing boat—I’m glad I’m not prone to seasickness when we hit rough seas
which are realistic enough that I grab the wall to steady myself.
broken only by splashes of foam kicked up by the wind
the gulf hugs the road on one side and steep crags hem in the other
waterfalls of melting snow streaming down the boulders
A yellow caution sign warns of cascading winter ice
I realize that if the surf were high enough to crash onto the roadway
I tamp down my worry with a salmon and shrimp sandwich at a roadside auberge (French for an inn or restaurant)
As I continue west, the landscape—more farmland and less wild sea—begins to feel more settled. Yet the Gaspé still holds surprises. At the Centre d’Art Marcel Gagnon gallery in Sainte-Flavie
I marvel at more than 80 human-esque carvings that march out of the St
I’ve passed several signs advertising homard (“Lobster
so I pull in beneath the cartoonish giant crustacean at Capitaine Homard for a toasted bun stuffed with chunks of sweet meat.
Leaving the highway at Montmagny, I find Musée de l’accordéon
a 19th-century wooden house that contains anything you might want to know about
I listen to toe-tapping excerpts from the museum’s annual festival
and I discover how versatile the instrument is—it’s not just for your grandma’s polkas
At Berthier-sur-Mer, I board a boat for a 45-minute crossing to Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site, an island where immigrants traveling to Quebec from Europe, particularly from Ireland, were forced to quarantine from 1832 to 1937 (similar to New York’s Ellis Island)
A costumed nurse demonstrates how arrivals were sequestered for fear of cholera and a monument is etched with the names of those who didn’t survive their island isolation
thinking about my Gaspé road trip after months of far less difficult pandemic quarantine
I can only imagine the lives of those immigrants
I realize that this quiet season journey helped me appreciate what I could still see and do—instead of focusing on all the things that I couldn’t
I didn’t hike to Land’s End or gawk at island seabirds
but on Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula in this season of anticipation

CanadaCarbon monoxide poisoning suspected in deaths of three found in car in Quebec's GaspéPublished: October 21, 2024 at 9:30PM EDT
NOUVELLE, QUE. — Police say three people whose bodies were found in a vehicle in Quebec’s Gaspé region over the weekend likely died accidentally, possibly of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Provincial police spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau says the bodies of the two women and one man were found early Saturday in a wooded area near Nouvelle, Que., about 400 kilometres northeast of Quebec City.
One of the victims was in her 20s, while the other two were in their 30s.
While police initially treated the deaths as suspicious, Bilodeau says there were no signs of violence on the bodies and the investigation now points to accidental deaths.
A coroner will confirm the cause of death, but police believe the victims may have died of carbon monoxide poisoning after their vehicle got stuck in a small waterway with part of the exhaust system blocked.
The police major crimes unit as well as crime scene technicians were sent to the scene, and the investigation into the deaths is ongoing.

The Canadian federal government is implementing a data collection plan for Lobster Fishing Area (LFA) 19
an area that extends from the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula to the Lower St
In the context of expanding lobster populations and a changing climate
accurate data collection can help assess whether lobster stocks can support additional commercial fishing while ensuring conservation
The plan follows a decision on May 10 to grant new exploratory lobster fishing licenses for Quebec’s North Shore
Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) will begin discussions with First Nations and the industry to develop this plan
which will be implemented as early as next year
The outcome of these discussions will help guide decisions regarding issuing new exploratory fishing licenses in 2025 in LFA 19
Maritime Canada’s lobster population is strong. So why are scientists worried?
“The Data Acquisition Plan will give us a better overview of the state of lobster stocks in the region,” said the Honourable Diane Lebouthillier
Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard “In the long term
I am hopeful that this will generate concrete economic opportunities for our Gaspé fish harvesters while advancing the important path towards reconciliation.”
Exploratory fishing licenses for the north side of the Gaspé Peninsula may be available as soon as 2025
and any allocation criteria will be disclosed later
It’s anticipated that this initiative could enable certain fish harvesters to generate income by selling their catch
thereby potentially bolstering the local fishing industry in Gaspésie

CASCAPEDIA: – Travelling outside the region for health care can be intimidating and stressful
Steve Guimond has been working for Travel4Health
a service established in March 2016 by the Community Health and Social Services Network in partnership with a host of regional anglophone associations including CASA
and the Coasters Association from the Lower North Shore
The funding for the position has come from the Quebec Community Health Foundation.Mr
Guimond offers a range of services and supports for people who have to travel to the Quebec City area for health care
Some have to travel more than 1,000 kilometres to receive the medical care they need.“We survived COVID and we are still here!” Mr
Guimond told SPEC during a recent interview
He noted that before his position as Patient Navigator was established
the regional groups used a printed toolkit to provide patients with information about the hospitals they were scheduled to visit and find travel services and accommodations in Quebec City
but the online site at https://www.travel4health.ca/ has a host of information that can be easily accessed and walks patients through many of the issues they may face while travelling to and staying in Quebec City
“People come to the city for a range of treatments,” Mr
“Probably number one is oncology (cancer treatments) and number two cardiology (to see heart specialists) but we also have a lot of people coming for surgery
Many regions do not yet have MRI machines.”Mr
Guimond noted that Gaspesian patients perhaps face the most challenging travel situation
“What people from the Gaspé Coast have to go through to get here is unbelievable,” he said
“Ten to twelve hours on a bus or in a car… two full days to get here and return
and sometimes the medical appointment lasts just 15 or 20 minutes
the health care system could save a lot of time and money for everyone.”
Guimond mentioned that many patients are not travelling alone
but have been allowed to bring someone to accompany them
eligibility to cover those expenses varies a great deal from region to region
“I sometimes see people here who really should not be travelling alone.”
There is also a serious loneliness factor for some who have to stay a long time in the city
“I am currently helping a woman who is in the hospital from May until July 3 and then must stay another 100 days in Quebec City for follow-up treatments
He noted that representatives of the English-speaking community are working at the level of the regional access committees to highlight the issues that some patients are going through
with support offered to just over 100 people per year
Altogether 1,036 interventions have been undertaken
There have been considerable improvements already to the way patients from the regions are being treated
patients who had been transported by the health care system to Quebec City were sometimes required to find their own way home
those brought in by the medivac transporters are also sent home that way
Guimond also noted a significant increase in the ability of Quebec City hospitals to respond in English to the needs of his clients
“Things have changed a lot in the local hospitals
It’s never been much of an issue with doctors
because many of them have trained in English
the younger generation of recent recruits enjoy speaking English… and I find that the staff here really have the interests of the patients at heart

commented: “We are very pleased with these new drill results at Gaspé
Table 1: Drill Hole Mineralized Intervals; intersections indicated in bold occur outside the November 2024 MRE model
All drill holes were drilled sub-vertically into the Gaspé Copper altered calcareous stratigraphy that dips 20 to 25 degrees to the north; true widths are estimated at 90-92% of reported widths
The 2025 drill program is primarily designed to convert the November 2024 MRE to Measured and Indicated categories
Mineralized intervals reported herein are calculated using an average 0.12% copper lower cutoff over contiguous 20-metre intersections (shorter intervals as the case may be at the upper and lower limits of reported intervals)

Samples selected for assay are sealed and shipped to ALS Canada Ltd.’s preparation facility in Sudbury
