The edition is limited to 500 pieces and the price per bar is 14.95 Swiss francs
as the company announced in a press release
People queued for hours to get their hands on one of the coveted bars
Some buyers later offered the chocolate on platforms such as Ebay for up to 350 euros
although the original selling price was 14.99 euros
Lindt's Dubai chocolate is based on a creation by chocolate artist Sarah Hamouda
the product quickly went viral and became a coveted collector's item
The handmade chocolate creation offers a unique taste experience that is made even more desirable by its limited availability
Lindt & Sprüngli is thus focusing on exclusivity and the fascination with limited-edition products
which in today's world is reinforced by social media and influencer marketing
The role of social media in spreading the hype surrounding Dubai chocolate cannot be underestimated
Influencers played a key role in raising awareness of the product and increasing demand
This strategy shows how important digital platforms have become for the success of brands and products

A 53-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured in a side-on head-on collision with a car in Kilchberg BL on Friday evening
The 62-year-old driver of the car was taken to hospital with injuries
The collision occurred shortly after 5.30 p.m.
as reported by the Basel police on Saturday
The car driver was driving towards Tecknau when he collided head-on with the oncoming motorcyclist on a bend
the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident: The 62-year-old driver of the car was injured and transported to hospital by the emergency services
For the duration of the rescue and recovery work
the road was closed in both directions in the area of the accident for several hours
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident
When chocolate becomes an obsession: In the middle of the night today
dozens of people queued up at Lindt & Sprüngli in Kilchberg ZH to buy Dubai chocolate
Queuing for hours for a bar of chocolate - that's what happened this Saturday morning at Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg ZH
The chocolate filled with pistachio cream and Kadayif threads
The limited-edition Dubai chocolate from Lindt & Sprüngli has already caused a huge rush in the company's own stores in Germany
And this morning it did the same in Switzerland
the first people were already waiting outside the Lindt Home of Chocolate in Kilchberg ZH at half past one in the morning
When the store finally opened its doors at 9.30 a.m.
several hundred people were already waiting outside
The edition of Lindt & Sprüngli's Dubai chocolate is limited to 500 pieces
The price per bar is a whopping 14.95 francs
The rare bars are already being offered on eBay for several hundred euros
Which proves once again: Artificial scarcity is currently one of the most effective sales strategies
Are there other reasons why sales are limited to 500 pieces? "It takes a lot of effort to make a Dubai chocolate, which is why it can only be made by hand," explains Master Chocolatier Stefan Bruderer from Lindt Home of Chocolate in Blick.
And because the manufacturing process is not quite so trivial
only a limited number are currently being sold in Switzerland
Lindt & Sprüngli is not the inventor of Dubai chocolate
The recipe originally comes from the company Fix Dessert Chocolatier
which has been offering it in Dubai since 2021
Company founder and chocolate artist Sarah Hamouda is considered the inventor
the chocolate quickly went viral and became a coveted collector's item
Sarah Hamouda came up with the chocolate recipe during her pregnancy. "I never thought my creation would become a global hit," says Hamouda in an interview with the US TV channel CNN.
If you also want to eat Dubai chocolate but don't want to pay so much money for it and also enjoy being in the kitchen
you can make it yourself at home - you only need a few ingredients
There are already various instructions circulating on the Internet - here are the instructions from Dr. Oetker
And here is the list of ingredients again: In addition to milk chocolate
sesame nut (tahini) and kadayif threads of dough
which are also found in the Turkish pastry baklava
"These," says inventor Sarah Hamouda
"give the Dubai chocolate its characteristic crunch."

the grand Lindt Home of Chocolate is the ideal backdrop for unveiling an energetic new approach to the global travel retail confectionery category
Last week, Lindt Global Travel Retail (GTR) hosted a media event at the Lindt Home of Chocolate where the brand presented its new category vision for TR which focuses on adding confectionery to every basket
Our mission is to create premium chocolate for the global confectionery market based on consumer preferences and extensive research,” said Peter Zehnder
“We are very proud that over the last year we did more and more research specifically for travel retail and adapted shopper studies for the travel retail world.”
Reporting a “strong rebound” in GTR with triple-digit growth of +109% in 2022
Peter Zehnder and Florence Benguerel at the Lindt Home of Chocolate in March 2023
Category growthLindt & Sprüngli partnered with Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science to conduct a deep dive study into the confectionery category and its growth drivers
five continents and more than 100,000 consumption occasions and shopper interviews
needs and occasions of shoppers will guide us to success,” explains Zehnder
Noting that “chocolate is a resilient category,” the findings reveal that more than 64% of shoppers say they love chocolate and 65% say they are never without chocolate in their house
66% say they would buy their favorite brand even if not on sale
Premiumization remains a relevant “growth engine” of the confectionery category
with research highlighting that 55% of shoppers are willing to pay more for premium chocolate
The POLARIS Category Research study concludes that the versatile and impulse-based role of the category makes adding confectionery to every basket a very realistic undertaking
needs and occasionsThe study indicates that reasons why people purchase chocolate in global travel retail fit within five categories called demand moments: “Treat,” “Indulge,” “Recharge,” “Connect” and “Delight.” Within these demand moments are common needs and occasions that come up during travel – which are major growth drivers of premium chocolate
Travelers looking for something quick and easy to eat falls under the “Treat” demand moment (accounting for 11% of sales)
Something enjoyable that offers a momentary escape is categorized under the “Indulge” demand moment (22% of sales)
A practical bite that quickly combats hunger
low energy and boredom fits within “Recharge” (leading at 32% of sales)
Travelers looking for something to share with others falls under “Connect” (also accounting for 11% of sales)
Those seeking something to gift fits in the “Delight” demand moment (which rings in at second place accounting for 25% of sales)
The research confirms that more than 90% of gifting purchases occur outside of key gifting periods
Finding the right format and delivering engagement at the point of sale during key gifting periods can fuel sales growth
referencing last year’s Diwali promotions in partnership with Delhi Duty Free and Dubai Duty Free which led to double-digit percentage sales growth
The enormous chocolate fountain in the center of the Lindt Home of Chocolate
Adding confectionery to every basketThe study points to four action items – or growth platforms - that can lead to conversion and have potential to add confectionery to every basket
categorized as “Say it with chocolate,” “Taste discoveries,” “Sharing the adventure” and “Be seen,” encompass gifting and festive occasions
channel exclusive editions and ingredient discovery
Lindt GTR has created TR exclusive products for gifting in 2023: The LINDOR Gift Box (287 grams) personalized with the gifting message “FOR YOU,” wrapped in lace-embossed packaging
adorned with a golden bow; the Napolitains Destination Sleeves Carrier Box (500 grams) unique to the destination; Gold & Silver Tablets (300 grams) serving as the “fail-safe gift that speaks for itself,” and the newly-introduced Nuxor Milk and Assorted (165 grams)
Playing into confectionery impulsivity and key visibility
Lindt GTR is bringing the art of gifting to life at Heathrow Airport this spring with freshly made LINDOR truffles from one of its Master Chocolatiers
personalized cards and bags are available to create an unforgettable memory
With the theme of “Bring home the gift of bliss,” the activation runs at Terminal 4 from March 30 to April 26
Lindt GTR highlights that the focus on growing the confectionery category reaches industry wide with a better-together approach
Growing the category benefits retailers (strategic partnerships that increase value)
suppliers (move away from stealing share to growing the category and value overall)
shoppers (focus on relevant and engaging experiences) and consumers (meeting all demand moments
needs and occasions with a complementary portfolio)
locals also visit the café inside the Lindt Home of Chocolate regularly
Lindt Home of Chocolate homage to historyLindt & Sprüngli tells GTRM the Lindt Home of Chocolate welcome 500,000 visitors last year and expects to easily exceed that figure in 2023

The period up to autumn 2020 was then taken up with interior construction and designing the diverse and immersive experience world
some people pay a fortune for burial plots next to celebrities' resting places
places next to Audrey Hepburn or Charlie Chaplin are not in high demand
5 min Share Marilyn Monroe is revered even in death
Lipstick traces show where fans have left kisses on her grave in Los Angeles
it's no surprise that there are people who want to be buried next to someone famous
near the graves of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe and Playboy founder Hugh Hefner
a grave site of this kind is «the perfect way to internalize Hollywood's glamour and history.» The starting bid is $50,000
Experts expect the burial crypt to fetch up to $400,000
who studies how society deals with the topics of dying
death and mourning at the University of Passau
«If you can't get close to your role model during your lifetime
you try to get some of the symbolic capital at the cemetery.» People hope for their own revaluation after death
and many believe that the grave reflects the value of the deceased person
sky-high prices are common for burial plots near celebrities
The trend has now apparently also reached England
A private cemetery in London is currently creating new grave sites near Karl Marx's grave
the equivalent of around 28,000 Swiss francs
he would have preferred to be buried in Switzerland rather than London – because in Switzerland there is no cult of celebrity at the cemeteries
Many Swiss celebrities are resting in the Sihlfeld cemetery in Zurich
the former coach of the Swiss national football team
There is also space next to the grave of «Heidi» author Johanna Spyri
The 30-year lease for the grave next to Kuhn would cost a resident of the city of Zurich 4,900 Swiss francs
while the larger grave next to Spyri costs 9,700 francs
the municipalities themselves determine burial regulations
Many municipalities only bury residents in their cemeteries
Nonresidents may be buried in exceptional cases
for example if they were connected to the community in a special way
all residents have a right to a place in the cemetery
regardless of their religious or confessional background
The German writer and «Magic Mountain» author Thomas Mann has been resting in the Kilchberg municipal cemetery in the canton of Zurich since 1955
Some of the graves next to Mann are currently empty
Relatives would only be able to conclude a lease agreement after the death
A comparatively small plot next to Mann would cost around 10,000 francs for 30 years
Mann is just one of many famous people buried in Swiss cemeteries
Many international celebrities have come to Switzerland to die here
A striking number are buried in the cantons of Vaud or Geneva: Charlie Chaplin and James Mason in Corsier-sur-Vevey
and then spent the rest of his life in Switzerland
he was buried in the cemetery of the town where he lived
followed by his wife Oona O'Neill after her death in 1991
According to the municipality of Corsier-sur-Vevey
there are still empty plots next to Chaplin and O'Neill's grave site
Residents could lease a small burial plot next to Chaplin for as little as 3,000 francs
Hepburn also spent her last years in Switzerland
living in seclusion in the small village of Tolochenaz in the canton of Vaud
Her resting place in the Tolochenaz cemetery is a simple row grave
No one has ever asked for a plot next to Hepburn
Community members are paying 1,500 francs for a 30-year lease of a plot next to Hepburn – quite a bargain for such a glamorous neighbor
Is there more discretion here than in the U.S.
it is not only the plots next to the celebrities that have remained empty
Many cemeteries in Switzerland have been losing graves for years
Funeral directors estimate that 90% of the deceased are cremated today
The row grave with a cross or gravestone has lost its significance
and many people want to wind up in a communal grave
and grave maintenance is easier for relatives
Some even want to be buried outside a cemetery
What the relatives do with the ashes of the deceased is up to them
Survivors are allowed to keep the ashes at home or scatter them in a forest
A space next to normal citizens may be less glamorous – but also more peaceful.

Zurich’s Goldküste (‘Gold Coast’) was a preferred destination for the well-to-do Swiss and expatriates alike
who appreciated this prosperous area on the lower eastern shore of Lake Zurich
lying directly across the lake on the left bank
has been usurping the Goldküste's dominance: the Pfnüselküste
"The left side of Lake Zurich is more sought-after than ever," said Niki Thomet
who has been selling luxury properties in the communities of Kilchberg
all of which which lie on the Pfnüselküste
for Engel & Völkers realtors for six years
but the new money resides on the Pfnüselküste – and there is further growth in it,” he noted
How much does living on the Pfnüselküste cost
which is located directly on the shores of Lake Zurich
properties are currently reaching sales prices of over 5 million francs
And that's not even the tip of the iceberg
In Thalwil, for instance, Thomet is marketing a 5.5-room, 186-square-metre flat for 6.28 million francs — that means it costs 33,000 francs per square metre. (As a comparison, a ‘typical’ per-square-metre price elsewhere is Zurich is about 15,900 francs, according to real estate company Neho)
But Thomet is not worried that such high prices will dampen the demand
"The high immigration alone will ensure that demand between the towns of Kilchberg and Horgen will continue to increase," he said
confirms the high number of foreign residents in his community
"I conduct 100 to 120 naturalisation interviews every year," he said
READ ALSO: How your Swiss commune plays a key role in your citizenship application?
And the international presence is felt elsewhere on the Pfnüselküste as well
In Thalwil, for instance, the population has become more diverse in the last two years. "English is spoken every day at the counters of our municipal administration," according to Hansruedi Kölliker
Why are international residents buying properties on the Pfnüselküste
They may not be able to pronounce its name
but (very) rich foreigners are flocking to this area
despite the property prices that only those in highest income brackets can afford
But the fact that the area is scenically located is not the main consideration (since many other locations in Zurich are picturesque as well)
The decisive factor is that the left bank is well connected by both public transport and the motorway to places that are strategic for these high-earners: there are good connections to the rest of Zurich
as well as to nearby cantons of Zug and Schwyz
"These are all locations where highly qualified expats usually work," said Lan Anh Nguyen

Burnout is a phenomenon of our modern performance-oriented society
More and more people are suffering from stress-related illnesses
sleep disorders or psychosomatic complaints are often the result

The concept has been successfully tested as part of a scientific study
The inpatient treatment program includes individual medical care
intensive individual psychotherapy and stress management training in groups
In addition to psychological and physical regeneration
the goal of treatment is improved stress management
optimal development of individual resources
The offer has been available to patients with supplementary insurance on the Belvedere private ward since 2013
Now the clinic management has responded to the increasing demand for treatment for patients with general insurance and opened a new ward with a beautiful view of the lake on June 6
The special ward has single and double rooms
the premises optimally meet the patients' need for rest and regeneration

was die Fettpräparate enthielten – zunächst wohl immer Stammzellen
Swissmedic-Sprecher Peter Balzli weist darauf hin
Peter Kellner
Er sagt: «Wir bestreiten alle uns gemachten Vorwürfe
