This incident occurred in the third period of the game between EHC Biel and the SCL Tigers on November 16 More details about the case and footage can be accessed here. Andersson suffered a concussion from the hit and is currently indefinitely sidelined The Superfinal will be held in Fribourg for the ninth time on Sunday Zug and Kloten-Dietlikon are favored as the qualifying winners The most important facts about the Swiss floorball championship Langnau is challenging the qualifying winners Zug to successfully defend their title while in the women's competition Zug wants to prevent Kloten-Dietlikon from winning their sixth consecutive title The women's final is a repeat of last year Kloten-Dietlikon prevailed on penalties after initially trailing 3-0 and won their eleventh championship title who played against relegation in the playout three years ago and are still without championship honors the Emmental side lost out to Wiler-Ersigen in the play-off final After last year's successful premiere the Super Final will be held in Fribourg's BCF Arena for the second time With 8473 spectators for the women's event and 9023 spectators for the men's which attracted a new audience from western Switzerland set a national attendance record for floorball Because the city as stadium owner and the Fribourg-Gottéron ice hockey club as operator were also satisfied the BCF Arena was recently awarded the contract for the finals until 2027 Due to the scheduling during the school vacations a slightly lower number of spectators is expected this year Zug's men go into the duel with Langnau as clear favorites as do the Kloten-Dietlikon Jets against Zug's women Zug has blossomed into the national number 1 team Although the qualification in the upper third was initially balanced Zug's top-class mercenaries regularly made the difference the team from central Switzerland only lost one game in two best-of-7 series together with his equally outstanding foreign line mates Sami Johansson and Miko Kailiala The 30-year-old Swede collected 73 scoring points in the 22 qualifying games - 29 (!) more than GC forward Paolo Riedi the most productive player of the eleven other clubs Together with the 25 scorer points in the playoffs that's a phenomenal 98 points in 31 games Rychenberg Winterthur proved in the cup final that Zug can be beaten in a single decisive game The third-placed team in February's qualifiers won 7:2 in the Wankdorfhalle in Berne The women's cup final also produced a surprising result who had only been beaten once in the qualifiers a superfinal defeat for the Dietliker women who are coached by former national team coach Rolf Kern The team with the best overall line-up and top scorer Nina Metzger was too dominant over long stretches of the season While Kloten-Dietlikon have reached every one of the nine super finals to date and have not lost one since 2018 it would be the first championship title for both Zug's women and Langnau's men The Super Final is the equivalent of the Super Bowl in American football since 2015 the title in Swiss floorball has been decided in a single game instead of playoff finals via best-of-series These individual games take place as part of the Super Final The routes to the Super Final are still via normal playoffs As the 2020 season was canceled due to the pandemic the 2025 Super Final is not yet an anniversary edition it will be the ninth time that the champions are not determined in finals series Boosted by the efforts and investments of the association under President Daniel Bareiss professionalization has progressed in recent years towards modern multifunctional arenas" is the motto Several clubs now play their home games in well-equipped Swiss television has regularly broadcast live matches on TV and online from the playoffs onwards there has also been a specific indoor floor requirement in the top leagues ensures better TV images and looks more professional Switzerland has recently fallen behind the top nations of Sweden and Finland it was recently only number 4 behind the Czech Republic The gap to the competition behind them has narrowed "We are currently in 4th place - no longer 3rd we are therefore no longer as good as we were," said Bareiss a year ago after the first Superfinal in western Switzerland The structures need to be further professionalized Professionalization must start from the bottom up 3-1 winners at home Tuesday during the first leg the Emmentalois saw their advance of two goals being reduced to nothing in the second third time The airmen took advantage of two inaccuracies from Luca Boltshauser to reset the meters to zero Stéphane Charlin’s replacement – The regular season MVP is still injured – first left the puck to spin between his legs on the opening of Dario Meyer’s score (23rd) He then did not have his hand firm enough on a shot from Nico Ojamäki (34th But the men of Thierry Paterlini did not abdicate and were able to count on a brilliant inspiration of Vili Saarijärvi to join the series the Finn invented a goal by taking the washer and sending it to the skylight of Ludovic Waeber (48th) the Tigers will play the play-offs for the first time since 2019 and a quarter-final lost 4-3 against Lausanne Langnau could also find the Vaudois Lions from Thursday March 13 in the event of Kloten’s success in the second round of the Play-in who eliminated Rapperswil after an extension equalized at 3-3 in the 79th minute thanks to a deviation from Philippe Maillet The Saint-Gallois will feed regrets because they generally dominated the debates during this return match But they came across tenacious Lvents who never let go The Canadian saved Ambri for the first time by reducing the brand to 3-2 in the 59th minute while his goalkeeper had left the ice The Lakers had nevertheless reset the counters by opening the scoring in the 17th minute by Malta Strömwall before virtually qualified during the third third after the successes of Dominic Lammer (47th) and Nicklas Jensen (55th) Maillet had given back to the BianCoblu in mid-match But the Quebecer came to crucify Rappi at the very end of extension by deviating an almost trivial shipment of Jesse Zgraggen still in the race to find the play-off six years later a proud Canadian with a lifelong passion for hockey I spent my mornings on the ice and my evenings analyzing every game which naturally led me to a career in sports journalism I merge my love for storytelling and the sport to bring you compelling insights from the heart of hockey Following the long-term agreement with forward Dario Simion Hockey Club Lugano is thrilled to welcome back another homegrown player is returning to the club after gaining experience abroad and in the National League (NL) with the Langnau Tigers becoming the highest-scoring defenseman for the U20 Elit team His performance caught the attention of overseas scouts he was selected in the first round by the Peterborough Petes Brian was set to join the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) team but the COVID pandemic delayed his move by a year Zanetti was drafted in the fourth round by the Philadelphia Flyers and attended their summer camp twice This achievement made him the third HCL player to be drafted into the NHL following Raffaele Sannitz (2001) and Elvis Merzlikins (2014) Zanetti played 130 games (46 points) and won a championship with the Peterborough Petes in the OHL he has since played 48 games in the National League with the Langnau Tigers Zanetti has chosen to return to the club where it all began and continue his growth he has represented Switzerland in both U18 and U20 World Championships HCL GM Hnat Domenichelli commented: "We are extremely proud to welcome Brian back to Lugano as he continues his development He has excellent skating and defensive skills and he will be a key player for our team's future We look forward to having him after his successful experiences away from the Cornèr Arena." Wednesday's game versus Lausanne HC should be taking place as scheduled A 43-year-old man was fatally injured in a car accident in Langnau am Albis ZH on Wednesday evening Another vehicle occupant was seriously injured and a pedestrian suffered moderate injuries The 43-year-old man died at the scene of the accident according to the Zurich cantonal police on Thursday night A rescue helicopter flew the 35-year-old man who was also in the car involved in the accident Which of the two Italians was driving the vehicle and how the accident occurred is being investigated the car entered the right-hand sidewalk shortly after 10 p.m The car then crashed into the corner of a house on the right-hand side of the road skidded back and collided with a retaining wall on the left-hand side of the road The 37-year-old Ukrainian pedestrian suffered moderate injuries Initial estimates put the damage to the building at several thousand francs the defenseman has signed up for another year The SCL Tigers have announced an extension for Samuel Erni he is the second-longest serving member of the National League team "Samuel is a player who fully identifies with the SCL Tigers and is a role model both on and off the ice" "His experience and skating skills are very valuable to the team." the 33-year-old has only appeared 23 times this season so far due to missing some weeks with an upper-body injury He is averaging 11 minutes and 44 seconds of ice time per game the forward remains loyal to his current employer for at least one more year The SCL Tigers have announced the signing of Dario Rohrbach to an extension there was speculation about whether the 26-year-old might stick with them "Dario has undergone a positive development over the past three years and has consistently demonstrated his offensive qualities" Langnau's team manager Pascal Müller comments Rohrbach has been back with the Tigers since 2022. He used to be part of their youth department, but eventually left for EHC Basel in 2015 Stéphane Charlin will play for Genève-Servette again in the National League next season who is currently playing his third season with the SCL Tigers in Langnau has signed a three-year contract with his training club A clause in his contract with the Swiss League teams allows the netminder to join the National League The SCL Tigers have announced the signing of Robin Meyer. Coming over from EHC Visp the goaltender has put his name under a two-year deal and will form Langnau's duo in net together with Luca Boltshause next season "The move to the National League is a great opportunity for Robin and we understand his understand his decision to take this step" Visp's team manager Daniele Marghitola states Meyer would still have had a year left on his contract but an out-clause permits him to leave early With Visp, the netminder has made 30 games so far this season, posting a .930 save percentage and allowing 1.93 goals against on average. Prior to Visp, Meyer was a member of EV Zug and the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers "Robin has had a successful year in the Swiss League so far and has been able to consistently earn important ice time" the Tigers' team manager Pascal Müller notes "Robin's strength lies in his positional play and he has a solid technical foundation he brings great potential to our organization." The SCL Tigers reach the playoffs for the third time in the club's history after 2011 and 2019 The Langnau team relegated EHC Kloten to the hopeful round with a 4-3 aggregate score but that was not enough after Tuesday's 3-1 loss in Langnau Vili Saarijärvi scored the "golden goal" for the SCL Tigers in the 48th minute to make it 1-2 Kloten should have had a much bigger lead at that point the Kloten team failed due to their own inability and Langnau goalie Luca Boltshauser Boltshauser is only playing in this most important phase of the championship because Stéphane Charlin is still convalescing after his injury was constantly at the center of attention in Kloten At 0:2 he let himself be caught below value But he also saved 40 shots (!) and achieved a save percentage of 95.24 percent These are figures that Stéphane Charlin has also regularly delivered this season Langnau rewarded itself immensely for a very mixed performance in the final period The Tigers wanted to grind out the 3:1 from the home game Dario Allenspach and Sean Malone took stupid two-minute penalties in the offensive zone Kloten took advantage of Allenspach's exclusion to make it 2:0 through Niko Ojamäki The penalty against Malone was Kloten's last chance to turn the series in a different direction The SCL Tigers are in the playoff quarter-finals for the third time after 2011 (under John Fust) and 2019 (under Heinz Ehlers) But Thierry Paterlini has now also created a small monument to himself as coach with the quarter-finals in Emmental - PostFinance top scorers: Ojamäki; Pesonen Keller (all ) and Hawryluk (supernumerary foreigner) the netminder will return to his former club on a three-year contract A month ago, "Watson"'s Klaus Zaugg first wrote about the possibility of Stéphane Charlin returning to Genève-Servette HC. As it turns out, that is indeed the case. Today, the Grenats announced that they signed the goaltender - a member of the SCL Tigers at the moment - to a deal valid until 2028 "He has progressed very well over the last few seasons and has become one of the best goalkeepers in the league Our strategy has therefore turned out to be the right one and we are convinced that with him we will be able to achieve long-term success." Charlin grew up playing for Servette and made his National League debut for them in 2019 and eventually signed with Langnau in 2023 after already suiting up for them before that the 24-year-old is the statistically best netminder in the National League (among those who have played at least a full game) The SCL Tigers equalized the series against qualifying winners Lausanne at 1:1 The Langnau team won the second game 4:3 after overtime but Luca Boltshauser conceded two goals from the tightest of angles in the final period Boltshauser was celebrated as the match winner in the end Brian Zanetti scored the winning goal in overtime in the 77th minute with a slapshot the SCL Tigers squandered their victory with less than twelve seconds remaining They led 2:0 until the 44th minute and 3:2 until just over eleven seconds before the end They even had one more player on the ice in the final 89 seconds as Damien Riat served a two-minute penalty Tim Bozon managed to equalize the score at 3:3 with a one-timer The tragic figure of regulation time: Luca Boltshauser Boltshauser saved the first 22 shots on his goal But then he let three shots (out of twelve) pass in the last 16 minutes of regulation time - and the two equalizing goals by Dominik Kahun (2:2) and Tim Bozon (3:3) from an impossible angle The goals against forced Langnau to take a detour but they did not deprive the Emmental team of victory the hosts deserved this result: they played with passion and emotion - and above all were more committed over long stretches than the qualification winners from Vaud The SCL Tigers celebrated their first victory over Lausanne since October 21 Saarijärvi (Mäenalanen/powerplay goal) 1:0 - Penalties: 3 times 2 minutes against SCL Tigers - PostFinance top scorers: Rohrbach; Suomela Bayreuther and Pajuniemi (both surplus foreigners) Lausanne without a goalkeeper from 57:34 to 58:31 the Tigers will hold the inauguration of their new "Campus" "The upcoming opening weekend is a milestone for the entire region, for the SCL Tigers, the SCL Young Tigers youth organization, but also for the regional sports clubs on and off the ice", Chairman of the Board Peter Jakob states in the SCL Tigers' announcement The club will reveal their new practice facility this coming weekend and hold their kickoff-event for the new season The facility includes a new ice rink built to NHL-size an athletics hall with over 1,500 square meters of usable space including a 200 square meters field of synthetic ice The SCL Tigers force the belle against the qualification winner The Emmentalers win Game 6 against Lausanne 3:2 and earn the chance to make a historic semi-final appearance on Tuesday the clash between Lausanne and the SCL Tigers has not been the series of the away teams The team from Langnau came out on top against Lausanne 3:2 giving them the chance to pull off a major coup and qualify for the semi-finals of the National League playoffs - something the village club has never managed to do before The fact that Thierry Paterlini's team could not be defeated in the third game in the once again sold-out Langnau Arena was thanks to a strong start by the SCL Saku Mäenalanen and Oskars Lapinskis sent the majority of the 6,000 fans into ecstasy after just two minutes of play when they beat Kevin Pasche twice in the LHC goal Although Geoff Ward's team managed to tie the game four seconds before the first intermission through Aurélien Marti Stéphane Charlin in the Tigers' goal was not to be beaten for a long time who had replaced the injured Luca Boltshauser late on Friday played his first playoff game from the start - and the MVP of the season was convincing Once Damien Riat had beaten him a second time Lausanne only had 35 seconds left for a comeback which had become necessary after Flavio Schmutz had restored the home team's two-goal lead ten minutes before the end Lausanne played far too passively against a defiant Langnau team which could now take its revenge if the series of home victories in the all-important Game 7 on Tuesday is snapped after all (59:25) Riat (Suomela) 3:2 (without goalkeeper) Pajuniemi and Perlini (both overage foreigners) The two young defensemen will stay on board for two (Meier) and one (Mathys) more season(s) respectively Robert Hradil / RvS.Media As the SCL Tigers announce they have signed Noah Meier and Tim Mathys to contract prolongations 19-year-old Mathys has been part of Langnau since joining the organization as a junior, besides a stint in the North American Hockey League last season. He is currently playing for their partner team in the Swiss League, EHC Chur 22-year-old Meier became a Tiger in 2023, coming over from the ZSC Lions he has recorded three goals and ten assists The goaltender is signed until the end of the upcoming season An expiring contract often causes some rumors, and this case is no different. Stéphane Charlin will be a member of the SCL Tigers until the coming spring there might be some interest from North America and there is interest from multiple clubs around the National League The Tigers themselves would like to keep the goalkeeper around “But we are in a comfortable position anyway.” Besides Charlin they have Luca Boltshauser under contract until 2026 and Martin Neckar loaned to Chur to gather some experience posting a .919 save percentage and allowing an average of 2.81 goals against per game As the Young Boys are playing versus Aston Villa on September 17 the Bernese derby is now scheduled for the 18 As SC Bern announced today, their season opener versus the SCL Tigers has been rescheduled Initially planned the same day as every other team's first game of the season and fan-interests regarding the UEFA Champions League game between the BSC Young Boys and Aston Villa In addition to the acquisition of the Finnish defender the Tigers announced new deals with Nolan Diem and Samuel Erni For the upcoming season, the SCL Tigers have decided to bolster their defense with Juuso Riikola four Finns are now under contract with the Tigers for next season: the remaining two import positions will be filled in the next months with two forwards Riikola has gathered playing experience in the Liiga (KalPa) and lastly in the SHL with IK Oskarshamn Riikola collected 19 points (two goals) in 44 games in Sweden.  forward Nolan Diem and defender Samuel Erni have also signed one-year deals it will be the sixth season in the Emmental while Erni will begin his seventh championship with the Tigers Whereas the goaltender has signed a new contract valid until 2026 Saarijärvi will keep playing in the Emmental for one more year The SCL Tigers look to the future in the name of continuity: with the extension of Luca Boltshauser the goaltending duo of the 30-year-old and Stéphane Charlin will stay the same while the import package will see at least five returning players next season with the re-signing of Vili Saarijärvi "Vili Saarijärvi and Luca Boltshauser are both cornerstones in this team We are pleased that they will continue to play for the Tigers and want to pursue the chosen path with us," states Pascal Müller Luca Boltshauser has averaged a save percentage of 92.03% which is higher than the league average of 91.51% For his part, Saarijärvi ranks twelfth in points among defenders with seven assists Langnau will be able to count on the services of the forward He is currently employed by the SHL's Örebro HK As the SCL Tigers announced earlier today they have signed Hannes Björninen to a two-year deal the Finn is still playing for Örebro in the SHL The possibility of Björninen joining Langnau was already reported back in November "Hannes Björninen is a true team player and leader", the Tigers' team manager Pascal Müller notes. "He always strives for improvement and his mentality and character are a perfect fit for the SCL Tigers." Growing up as part of the Lahden Pelicans's organization Björninen made his debut in men's hockey during the 2014-15 season returned to the Pelicans and then headed off to Sweden to suit up for Brynäs IF and eventually Örebro the Tigers will have yet another Finn on their roster next season After two seasons with HC Davos, the 28-year-old is going to return to the SCL Tigers What Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") already reported yesterday is now confirmed: Julian Schmutz is going to play for the SCL Tigers again The forward already suited up for them from 2019 to 2021 "Julian has scoring qualities and he's versatile, whether it's on the power play or box play," the SCL Tigers' team manager Pascal Müller says about his reinforcement for next season "He is one of those particularly obstinate players who make life difficult for every opponent." Julian Schmutz is currently in his second season with HC Davos he has recorded four goals and three assists His hit from behind against Mark Arcobello has additional disciplinary consequences for the forward In minute 44 of the game between HC Lugano and the SCL Tigers on November 22 the home team's Mark Arcobello was hit from behind by Dario Rohrbach Already provisionally suspended for one game 🎥 Les images de son geste⤵️2/2 pic.twitter.com/ErAtdyhj93 This article was originally published by Mennonite World Review | December 11, 2017 | | | | | | The 29-year-old forward will definitively leave the SCL Tigers and Switzerland to rejoin Färjestad BK from Sweden's highest league Nilsson has agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the club for which he already suited up between 2016 and 2020 The Swede joined the Tigers during the 2020-21 season from KHL's HK Sochi he managed to put up two goals and 15 assists ( 09 April 2021 | rlu* | Report an error ) has put his signature on a three-year deal that will keep him in Langnau until 2026 "I feel very comfortable in Langnau. The sporting prospects and the second ice rink with the weight room made my decision easy," states Jiří Felcman. Pascal Müller, team manager of the SCL Tigers believes that this is an important sign for the club: "He has confidence in us that we are the best sporting address for him and can also offer ideal prospects with the new infrastructure" The 18-year-old has been with the Tigers since 2020 and is considered one of the most talented players in the system In June he was drafted 93rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks which also invited him to their rookie camp in September Vivez le match en live et vibrez avec le #GSHC Participez à la rencontre du jour en utilisant le hashtag #GSHC sur les 2-1; 0-1) The Latvian forward with a Swiss players' license is currently on a tryout with the SCL Tigers Lazarevs is trying to earn himself a contract for the remaining part of the ongoing 2018-19 season The 22-year-old joined Genève-Servette HC on a one-year deal from the GCK Lions this summer he only suited up for HC Sierre - the Grenats' partner team in the MySports League In a total of five appearances with Sierre this season thus far Lazarevs has managed to put up one goal and one assist.  the Vaudois had to go to the seventh game to eliminate the Bernese Thierry Parrelini and his players are not limited many people in Langnau were happy to play the play-off They saw this qualification as a culmination,” said Thierry Paterlini At the bottom of the class four years ago after the COVIR which had really complicated the club’s financial situation to the point of aligning only two foreigners during the 2020/2021 season the Langnau Tigers are going through a remarkable season we have almost always won the matches that had to be won in important moments She has always been able to find a way out Therry Paterlini and the sports director Pascal Müller has been a pair that works wonderfully in the Emmental we feel that the club is constantly advancing,” says striker Pascal Berger And with the project of a second skating rink you tell yourself that the season really starts with the play-off we bowed during our four games in the regular season before eliminating it in a play-in The big question before this series lies in the presence or not in the cage of Stéphane Charlin Wounded on February 2 at the knee in Lugano But after two weeks spent in Ticino with Emanuele Sarcinella the physiotherapist who had managed a small miracle two years ago in Bienne to allow Damien Brunner to compete in the Play-Off final against Geneva-Servette Stéphane Charlin is ahead of all time of passage His ardent desire to replay with Langnau before returning this summer to Geneva encouraged him to put the double bodies in his rehabilitation the Langnau Tigers would not however be disarmed Remarkable during the play-in against Kloten with a percentage of stops of almost 96 % blindness around the world Orbis is an airborne ophthalmic training facility called a Flying Eye Hospital By making it possible to bring ophthalmic training to communities around the world the company’s goal is to eliminate unnecessary blindness “…of the 39 million blind around the globe the Orbis team not only performs eye surgeries but also educates other doctors in the proper execution of eye surgeries through two-way audio-visual links To be everywhere to aid and instruct as many people as they can Orbis’ entire hospital and training facility is housed on a converted DC-10 aircraft Orbis is now in the process of building a new airborne hospital A DC-10 aircraft has been converted to a flying eye hospital where staff perform surgeries and educate other doctors on latest eye health care The engineering team involved in the latest Flying Eye Hospital project first sought out over seven companies that could help build the new facility They came across Structural Integrity Engineering (SIE) One of the more complex components needed for the project was an air duct that was required to conform to certain curvatures as well as meet all FAA requirements for airflow Its purpose is to filter air between the cockpit and the operating rooms The Orbis team chose to use a 3D Printing process to produce the air duct has been working with additive manufacturing processes for years but always as a way to prototype and test out new parts using Stereolithography (SLA) Curran and his team realized that traditional methods of manufacturing ducts would not suit the geometry of the air duct needed on the Orbis plane “We had done work with Solid Concepts in the past because 3D printing processes are very viable for complex fitting and design which would normally cost quite a bit if machined,” stated Curran “In discussing our needs with Jesse (a Solid Concepts Project Engineer) he informed me that Solid Concepts has material that is FAA compliant for smoke and burn regulations We received samples of ULTEM and did secondary burn tests the samples have to extinguish by themselves within a certain amount of time The ULTEM pieces passed the test.” ULTEM is a thermoplastic material that has been engineered to meet harsh environments which is why the material has become widely used in the production of large vehicles The part stands at two feet long and one and a half feet in diameter showing the build supports right after 3D printing “We took what we normally would’ve done in fiberglass and shifted our approach,” continued Curran Curran and his team chose to use a Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process coupled with the tan ULTEM material “We designed mounting feature attachment fittings into the actual part The mounting features are usually separate By designing them into the FDM ULTEM component extruding thermoplastics varying in degrees of durability allows for multiple features to be built into the actual completed product opening up possibilities for designers to program virtually any feature they require Had Curran and his team manufactured the duct using fiberglass the machined mold and lay-up process would have taken weeks; with FDM the team was able to receive their part in a matter of days and should they need a replacement or an extra part the team could receive multiple parts in just a few days Building a part that would be required to function on an actual aircraft (versus a prototype or non-critical part) required vigorous inspection by the FAA The FAA sent two representatives to Solid Concepts to test and certify the design and build of the air duct a Designated Engineering Representative (DER) who is commissioned by the FAA and carries a legal license for engineering visited Solid Concepts to verify that the design of the duct would meet airworthiness requirements A Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR) who inspects the part to ensure everything was built correctly and that the process used meets all airworthiness requirements Solid Concepts took on the responsibility for ensuring the additive manufactured duct was 8130 certified “Being responsible for FAA certifications opened our eyes to what additive manufacturing can accomplish,” stated Solid Concepts’ Project Engineer Jesse Marin “We’ve always been dedicated to internal research and I think it really paid off in this project.” The Orbis team has never before used a 3D Printed unit on one of their Flying Eye Hospitals The completed duct in place in the DC-10 aircraft An earlier prototype of the air duct has been awarded a place in the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute (NAMII) in Washington to display the capabilities of 3D Printing and transfer those visionary and realistic ideas to the mainstream U.S MD 10 Program Director of Orbis International commented that their objective “is to build the most sophisticated gold standard hospital platform:” additive manufacturing was able to meet those standards The ZSC Lions preserve their small chance to finish the qualification in first place with a 3-2 home win after overtime against the SCL Tigers After the magnificent spectacle on Saturday evening when the ZSC Lions lost a great game in Zug 4:5 due to three goals conceded in the final period the long Sunday afternoon was more relaxed The ZSC Lions limited themselves to the bare minimum in order to defeat the visitors from Emmental Both teams led once before overtime: first Langnau after Flavio Schmutz made it 1:0 for three minutes then the ZSC Lions after Yannick Zehnder made it 2:1 for a good three minutes Flavio Schmutz equalized after 14 seconds in the final period to make it 2:2 And Mikko Lehtonen scored after 117 seconds of overtime to give ZSC a 3-2 win Jesper Frödén set up all three Zurich goals Because the ZSC Lions only gained two points leaders Lausanne only need two points from their last two games to win the qualification for the first time things no longer look as good ahead of the final week of qualifying as they did before the international break Without the injured over-goalie Stéphane Charlin the Langnau team has recently lost three games in a row again Their lead over the teams in 11th to 13th place has halved - and Biel and Servette still have a game in hand with Calvin Thürkauf scoring his ninth and tenth goals of the season in the final minutes Thürkauf first deflected a shot from Jiri Sekac from an acute angle in the 52nd minute Thürkauf made sure of victory with a shot into the empty net to make it 2:0 After a lousy series (supernumerary foreigner) Rapperswil-Jona Lakers without a goalkeeper from 56:15 to 56:43 Zug secures its second championship title in a row in the Superfinal thanks to a nail-biting 9:8 win against the Tigers Langnau which has several world champions in the Swedes Albin Sjögren as well as the Finns Sami Johansson and Miko Kailiala and is mainly made up of players from its own youth ranks Both philosophies have led the clubs to the Super Final with the discrepancy between the two teams becoming even more glaring when embellished with figures: Just 6.7 percent of all the Tigers' scoring points were scored by a foreign player meaning that the central Swiss team clearly leads the league in this category while the Emmental team is at the other end of the table The Zug team defended their title from the previous year the Emmental team put up considerable resistance in the 9:8 win Langnau caused the heavy favorites to falter the comeback came too late for Yannick Rubini's team who were without goalie Roman Beck for most of the final minutes Because Zug were once again able to rely on their exceptional Scandinavian players Top scorer Albin Sjögren scored three times Robin Nilsberth twice - and Tobias Gustafsson shone with four decisive passes the Tigers were almost able to compensate for the individual quality of their opponents - but only almost which has the largest financial resources in the league meanwhile managed to repeat last year's success when the Central Swiss secured their first championship title Simon Steiner (Lauber/Exclusion Sjögren) 0:1 (12:38) Jonas Nigg (Fabio Flütsch) 2:1 Sjögren (Johansson/exclusion Gfeller) 9:5 Kropf (Simon Steiner/without goalkeeper) 9:6 (59:03) Lauber (Gfeller/without goalkeeper) 9:7 (59:21) Simon Steiner (Lauber/without goalkeeper) 9:8 - Penalties: 3 times 2 minutes against Zug Remarks: Langnau partly without goalkeeper from 56:38 The SCL Tigers continue to make life difficult for qualifying winners Lausanne the youngster of the season took a pass from Harri Pesonen and scored with a direct shot to make it 1:0 for the underdogs And when Julian Schmutz made it 2:0 and Jason Fuchs reduced the deficit just 35 seconds later The 26-year-old from Bern energetically powered his way through the Lausanne defense and increased the lead to 3:1 with his third goal within a minute even though Michael Hügli reduced the deficit once more They made the supposedly most one-sided quarter-final series all the more exciting Langnau had lost four times to last year's playoff finalists in qualifying Second piece of good news for the SCL Tigers: Stéphane Charlin the outstanding goalie and MVP of the qualifiers was back on the bench for the first time and surprisingly early after his knee injury at the beginning of February there is currently no reason to take Luca Boltshauser out of goal They must now play to their home strength on Friday The qualification winners beat the SCL Tigers 6-2 in the decisive seventh quarter-final game Langnau had the opportunity to write club history by qualifying for the playoff semi-finals in the National League for the first time It would have been one of the biggest sensations in ice hockey in Switzerland Instead of the starting position inspiring the Emmental team The visitors didn't have the slightest chance against the unleashed Lausanne team Théo Rochette made it 1:0 in the 3rd minute and Damien Riat doubled the lead 135 seconds later Because Lausanne defender Gavin Bayreuther was absolutely stupid at the end of the first period and picked up four penalty minutes Langnau were able to play powerplay at the start of the middle period and took advantage of this in the 23rd minute in the person of Vili Saarijärvi the 1:2 did nothing to change the physiognomy of the encounter but could not get the puck past the strong Langnau keeper Stéphane Charlin until the 44th minute despite a 70-second double overtime He then let a shot from defender Fabian Heldner pass him to make it 1:3 Tim Bozon then scored on the power play (50') and Riat again (53') to make it 5:1 leaving no doubt about the outcome of the game Rochette also scored twice in the 57th minute to make it 6:2 The 23-year-old now has six goals in the current playoffs Just how superior the LHC were in their eleventh home win in a row against Langnau is illustrated by the 56:10 shot ratio in their favor It was Lausanne's sixth seventh game in a playoff series in Switzerland's top league with the Vaud club also prevailing in its third home game the second time against the SCL Tigers after the 8-1 win in 2019 - they lost three times away from home it was the 41st win for the hosts in the 48th showdown in the NLA 23rd Saarijärvi (Pesonen/powerplay goal) 2:1 Saarela (Malone/powerplay goal) 5:2 (no goalkeeper) - Penalties: 6 times 2 minutes against Lausanne - PostFinance top scorers: Suomela; Rohrbach SCL Tigers without goalkeeper from 54:17 to 54:21 Wir stehen
