The investment is accompanied by a cooperation agreement in which both banks will develop new BaaS products on a common platform
which is developed and distributed by Hypothekarbank Lenzburg
Several Swiss banks also use Finstar as their core banking system
including digital financial services provider Neon
Hypothekarbank Lenzburg’s partners from Switzerland can become active in Germany without changing technical platforms
Future Market Insights’ report estimates the Europe BaaS industry size to grow from USD 8,913.30 million in 2024 to USD 36,097.05 million by 2034
as the target industry recorded a YOY growth as 13% in 2023
More and more Europeans are using smartphones and online platforms for everyday tasks
creating demand for financial services that are seamlessly integrated into their digital lives
Traditional banks are evolving by using BaaS in response to these customer demands
Non-banks across Europe are increasingly adopting BaaS platform as they enable them to offer financial products such as loans
payments and money management tools without obtaining a full banking licence
the bank achieved income growth across all business areas
overall profit declined compared to the previous year
2024 could have been another top year for Hypothekarbank Lenzburg
the Aargau regional bank increased its revenues in the interest and investment business as well as in the areas of banking-as-a-service and finstar services
However, costs have also risen. As part of the ongoing realignment, personnel and material costs have also increased. According to the figures published on Friday
the bottom line is therefore a lower profit: it fell by 3.3 percent to 20.5 million Swiss francs compared to the previous year
The interest business is still the bank's most important business area
The majority of revenues come from the mortgage business
the new Banking-as-a-Service and Finstar businesses generated a higher gross result for the first time than the investment business with commission income of 13.3 million francs
the investment business remains the bank's second-largest source of income
the inflow of customer deposits increased by 235 million francs to a total of 5.5 billion francs
There was also a pleasing development in medium-term notes
Hypothekarbank Lenzburg's total assets exceeded 7 billion francs for the first time in the 2024 financial year
«The inflows are a sign of confidence in Hypothekarbank Lenzburg's strong brand
Hypi is a real love brand and has a strong image even outside the Lenzburg region,» says CEO Silvan Hilfiker
who took over as CEO from Marianne Wildi in June last year
which is recognised in the income from commission and service fee business
revenues also increased by 26.0 percent compared to the previous year
Assets under management rose by 30.3 percent to 3.0 billion francs compared to the previous year
The bank attributes this to the positive market development
the good performance of the various investment solutions and the cooperation agreements
Hypothekarbank Lenzburg's capital base was further strengthened last year
this was achieved through provisions amounting to 5 million francs
through an allocation of 12 million francs to profit reserves
The equity ratio stands at approximately 17 percent (compared to the legal requirement of 12.4 percent)
The liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) averaged over 200 percent in 2024
significantly exceeding the legal minimum of 100 percent
Above-Average Growth in New Business Areas
The regional bank also sees the development of the Finstar and Banking-as-a-Service business as a success
it recorded an increase of 68 percent to 16.3 million francs
The encouraging business development of various Fintech partner companies and Finstar banks has had a positive impact
«This development is a clear sign for us that we want to continue implementing our cooperation strategy and need to invest in this area,» says Gerhard Hanhart
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank
other ordinary income amounted to 12.0 million francs
which corresponds to an increase of 49.0 percent compared to the previous year
Authorized Capital Increase ProposedThe Board of Directors is proposing an authorized capital increase for the Annual General Meeting on March 15
2025. This authorization would allow the Bank’s Board of Directors to adjust the capital as needed over the next five years under a so-called capital band
This will require an amendment to the Articles of Association
The Board of Directors wants to gain more leeway in the transformation of the bank
particularly in the development of new business areas such as embedded finance and banking-as-a-service
former CEO of HypoVereinsbank and current member of the Board of Directors
will be proposed as Chair of the Board of Directors
Gerhard Hanhart will not be standing for re-election to the Board of Directors
He has been a member of the Bank's Board of Directors since 1997 and Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2015.Susanne Ziegler is also not standing for re-election due to a career change
The dvidend will remian unchanged at 120 francs per share.

2018 Swiss Bank Becomes First in Country to Offer Business Accounts to Crypto Companies Swiss bank Hypothekarbank Lenzburg is the first bank in the country to provide blockchain and crypto companies with business accounts
News COINTELEGRAPH IN YOUR SOCIAL FEEDHypothekarbank Lenzburg has become the first bank in Switzerland to provide business accounts to blockchain and cryptocurrency companies, Cointelegraph auf Deutsch reported June 6
While Falcon Private Bank has provided crypto asset management services since last year
Hypothekarbank Lenzburg CEO Marianne Wildi confirmed that they are first bank in the country to open company accounts for blockchain and crypto-related fintech companies
"As a bank that sets itself up technologically and pursues a cooperative strategy in the field of fintech
it is also a matter of credibility to work together with the young sector of crypto and blockchain companies in Switzerland"
According to Wildi
the Hypothekarbank Lenzburg is reportedly very selective in accepting new customers
and recently has taken on only two companies from the crypto industry
the bank performs a rigorous due diligence process
The Swiss canton of Zug has become a global hub for the cryptocurrency industry
taking on the monicker “Crypto Valley.” Despite the influx of crypto business
restrictive bank policies toward crypto companies forced firms to look abroad for banking services
The Principality of Liechtenstein has become a major financial hub in Europe and aims to play a pivotal role in the fintech industry as well. In March, the government introduced comprehensive blockchain legislation
regulating blockchain business models and underlying blockchain systems
Yokoy is launching a free credit card for corporate clients and has signed a deal with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg for the provision of backoffice support
Yokoy started out a year ago with the promise to help corporate clients with their payments' handling
the fintech has decided to also launch a prepay-credit card for companies
according to a statement released on Monday
The offering is targeted at a specific client group and the Yokoy card is not only free of charge but also comes with free forex services
The Yokoy card is to the corporate world what Revolut's credit card was for the retail client
It has an agreement with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg
which will provide the firm with backoffice services through an interface to the Finstar banking platform
The business-type credit card by Yokoy is integrated into the settlement process of a company's expenses management – right from the payment through to the debiting from the bank account
the entry into the books of the company and the proper filing
