their featherweight bicycles thrusting mere inches apart
And that's what's happened in the 99th edition of the Tour
the Tour has already been ranked as the most dangerous one in decades

Switzerland - Thibaut Pinot gave France its first stage victory in the Tour de France on Sunday while Bradley Wiggins
kept the overall lead as the race entered Switzerland
Pinot broke away from the pack during a steep
eighth stage from Belfort to the Swiss town of Porrentruy
held on during a frenzied chase in the last six miles
This was by far Pinot's biggest achievement
His previous top performance was at the 2010 the Tour of Romandie
"I will remember this day my entire life," Pinot said as teammates embraced him
Wiggins leads defending champion Cadel Evans by 10 seconds
The Australian mounted a late but unsuccessful attack on the Briton
Defending Olympic champion Samuel Sanchez withdrew after a crash 35 miles into the stage
Sanchez fell on his side before two other riders landed on him
clutching his left shoulder and arm as medical teams tended to him
He could not get back on a bike and was put on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Montbeliard
Crashes have marred the first week of the Tour
Sanchez became the 20th rider to drop out of the three-week race
The Spaniard entered the day in 12th place
Medievalists.net
One of the largest databases of medieval manuscripts has added 61 new items to its collection
They include manuscripts from the Franciscan order as well as fragments dating back to the eighth century
The digitized manuscripts were added to e-codices: The Virtual Manuscript Library of Switzerland
which is run out of the University of Fribourg
The new additions bring their collection to over 2500 items
Among the additions are three medieval manuscripts held at the Central Library of the Swiss town of Solothurn
They originally belonged to the Franciscans and included a German translation of their Rule
Another interesting addition to the collection is four manuscripts from a library in Porrentruy
but were made around the end of the 19th century
and are armourials depicting coats of arms of the local nobility
Many of the new additions come from the Abbey Library of Saint Gall, an important monastery in the Middle Ages. Some of these are collections of fragments of manuscripts from older works
including those dating back to the 8th century
who coordinates e-codices for the Center for Manuscript Studies at the University of Fribourg
explains that for him “by far the most exciting part of the update is the publication of hundreds of fragments from the Ildefons von Arx fragment volumes 1397 and 1398a
most of them were known only by a one-line title applied to a whole folder
and numerous others who helped in specific cases
we have identified and dated each of the fragments
and noting where they come from the same manuscripts.”
The project also has a sister site, Fragmentarium
which focuses on these manuscript fragments
That site’s collection is now over 5,000 items
but Duba explains that this is an area which will grow even further:
but that number is a drop in bucket compared to the material still out there
Digitization constitutes the first step to preserving this material for research
Since most manuscript fragments are found in bindings of books
they exist only in reference to something else
from which they can be separated: without the fragment
the book will still have the same classmark
As the very first step to preserving this material
We still need to make sense of this mass of material
we need motivated medievalists willing and able to dedicate their time to providing the initial identification of these fragments
and to draw the interest of their colleagues
I find this the most exciting part of Fragmentarium: getting together specialists from the spectrum of medieval and manuscript studies for the sake of increasing our knowledge of and access to our global written heritage.”

The Brellum Duobox is a no-nonsense chronograph with retro-inspired design
powered by the robust and reliable Valjoux 7750
nicely executed and offering excellent value for money – it is most likely one of the most affordable chronographs powered by a 7750 (and the best is that this movement is COSC certified… and that is almost never true in the below 5k price bracket!)
This sounded promising enough to meet Sébastien Muller
Sébastien Muller is connected to his roots
proud to represent the 4th generation of a family of watchmakers in the Swiss Jura
His eyes light up when he talks about his watches and how he came to create his own brand
with over 20 years of experience in the industry
he is driven by his passion for watchmaking and the will to do things his own way
The name Brellum is an anagram of Muller with the letter B added as a reference to his birth village
The proximity to the word ‘”Bellum” (war in latin) refers to the never ending battle of making his watches better and also trying to be better himself
The Brellum Duobox makes a strong first impression with its elegant vintage-inspired design
features mushroom-type push-pieces and domed scratch-resistant glare-proofed box sapphire crystals on both sides of the watch
The front one protects the dial while the one at the back aims at allowing the chronograph movement to be admired in detail
This unusual choice also proves to offer great wearing comfort and allows for a rather lithe case band – we all know that the 7750 usually means rather thick watches
The slightly convex dial features faceted hour markers and the characteristic Valjoux layout (12 – 9 – 6) surmounted with nicely dimensioned hands
The model we had to review featured a deep blue tone
creating interplay between the reflections
This creature from the Jura/Franche Comté regional mythology is a dragon-liked winged beast whose story reminds us of what is essential and that focus is critical
The Brellum Duobox is built around the ubiquitous Valjoux 7750
the legendary workhorse automatic chronograph
reliable cam and lever movement is nicely decorated and COSC certified
blued screws and a Brellum oscillating weight
The Brellum Duobox comes on a choice of alligator leather strap or stainless steel Milanese bracelet with folding buckle
Technical specifications – Brellum Duobox
I’m not sure I would call a 16mm case “lithe,” relatively or not
none of the established brands awareness but overall very well done
but the case band is pretty thin for a valjoux powered watch
In Albania this product have shop who people go to buy
Switzerland — Nobody can quite put a finger on Andrew Cristall
were it not for one of his best friends in Regina and a quad contusion that kept him sidelined for five weeks from early January through mid-February
would stand as one of the single-most productive under-18 seasons in the WHL’s recent history
But Cristall isn’t going to hear his name called in Nashville that early
He probably won’t even be picked in the top 10
When people around him, or the NHL scouts who’ve watched him
they point to flaws in his skating and defensive play
Every game is the next opportunity to show the detractors that they’re wrong
they got more ammunition when he registered just a lone goal in a four-game first-round series sweep to the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL playoffs
he got more of his own ammunition when NHL Central Scouting ranked him 15th on its final list of North American skaters for the 2023 NHL Draft
There were eight CHL skaters slotted ahead of him
while wearing an “A” for Team Canada at U18 Worlds
he gets his last opportunity before the draft itself to show them
And when those who know him are done talking about — or explaining — the skating
and the size (currently 5-foot-10 and 167 pounds)
they’ll all tell you that’s exactly what he’ll do
They’ll also tell you about an advanced mind for the game
and a confident player who thinks he can make a difference in every game he plays — and usually he does
George’s School head of hockey Todd Harkins will tell you his experience coaching Cristall was “a journey.”
Harkins, a 1988 second-round pick of the Calgary Flames who played parts of 11 seasons in the NHL
says that three-year journey began with a very talented kid who’d have everything come easy to him in his minor hockey career with the Burnaby Winter Club
Cristall registered 55 points in 33 games playing up an age group on the prep school’s U15 team
and Harkins had to break his habit of taking two-to-three minute shifts
he was small and scouts questioned his speed for his size
As the boys around him got bigger and stronger
he had to rely on his hockey IQ and his perseverance in winning loose puck battles according to Harkins
“He just always had the puck and if he didn’t have the puck he found a way to find and go get the puck
I just knew that he was going to try to find a way to win the hockey game for us
He just had that tenacity and ferocity to go get the puck
“(And) he wasn’t the fastest guy in the world but he had great edges and was able to get off of the mark quick
he just didn’t have that explosive speed to be able to pull away from guys.”
In that way, Cristall reminded Harkins of another player he’d coached in the past who was never the best skater: current Panthers forward and 30-goal scorer Sam Reinhart
“(Reinhart and Cristall) just always seem to have the puck and put points up and they’re not a defensively liability because they’re just smarter than everybody and they use that smarts to their advantage,” Harkins said
“They find a way because they’re so smart with or without the puck that they just dominate the game that way
Some people are really fast and can’t think the game fast
These guys think the game very fast and find a way to offset their speed with their brain.”
despite the production and the talent level
Harkins had to convince then-Kelowna Rockets head scout Lorne Frey to use the team’s first-round pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft on Cristall
“People are always doubting him because of his skating and his size but the one thing I told (Frey) is I said ‘If you take him with the eighth overall pick
he could be the leading scorer in the Western Hockey League.’ I actually said that,” Harkins recalled
“And luckily he listened to me because I know they had a couple of other players that they were looking at at that point
Rockets head coach Kris Mallette knows there are things that his leading scorer and alternate captain this year is not
But whenever scouts called him this year to ask him about the things that he isn’t
he always had a follow-up on what Cristall is
“He’s definitely not an elite skater,” Mallette said on a recent call
“But what separates him is that he uses his edges so well in regards to riding momentum of a forecheck
But he puts the work in and his skating has improved from last year to this year and I would only assume that it’s going to continue to get better
You can always work on that and he’s fortunate that he’s got a lot of other tools that are pretty elite.”
“He gets picked apart because of his defensive game but he’s my best penalty killer
I just don’t want him out there,” Mallette said
“He’s new age with regards to once possession is turned over
And some of the best players in the NHL have that
some of the elite players recognize how to try to get an advantage and he’s no different
and I get that it’s a cliché word and overused
but his hockey sense and hockey IQ is off the charts
It’s some of the best I’ve ever coached and I’ve had some pretty good players in my time here
The way he sees the game two or three steps or plays ahead of most is pretty remarkable
Some of the best players have made very long careers playing small-area games where you’re able to pick apart a defender just by the way his stick or feet are
And there’s more and more players like that
“He has the ability in the WHL to draw two or three defenders to him and then out it into an area
whether it’s on the tape or something that they can just skate into
Because he’s got a leg up now and if he keeps pace he could be something really
about his playoff series against the top-ranked Thunderbirds
“I know that he would love to go back and re-do Seattle,” Mallette said
“but it’s hard when you’re only one of potentially four or five guys on your team that is required to drive the bus and score those goals for your team night-in and night-out against a team with the depth like they had in Seattle
I told him ‘As frustrating as it is for you
the best players have to find a way’ and it’s a learning experience for him and our group
But I think now being able to go over to U18s and play a prominent role offensively again could hopefully bring his draft stock back to where it probably was before his injury where he was being talked in the top-15 conversation (instead of) top 30.”
And Mallette also knows one thing that Critall is: “An offensive threat every single time he’s on the ice.”
set the right example according to Mallette
And the kid gets high marks across the board
“The scouts whenever they talk to him really like him
They’re not getting someone without personality
The on-ice is one thing but potentially the person and character could also separate him
very confident but not to the extent of cockiness
He’s a confident player who is aware of his abilities but would never be a guy who is deemed as a selfish player,” Mallette said
He likes to have a good time and loves to be on the ice
and those are the types of players that are infectious within a group
And he’s a leader with the way he plays and carries a strong voice in the dressing room even at 17
I can lean on him pretty good and we may butt heads here or there but the thing is that I know at the end of the day that if I’m going after Andrew to be a better player for himself or the team
he may not like it at the time but I know that I’m going to be getting the best version of him in trying to do whatever he can to help our team win
Cristall describes his own game as competitive
But standing inside Raiffeisen Arena in Porrentruy
he said his three biggest strengths are his hockey IQ
“I use those three things to manipulate defenders and gain my advantage of the ice there,” Cristall said
“The game of hockey is all about the little battles and in tight plays trying to gain the advantage on the other team.”
He has honed his hands, he said, in skates with Rai and in a Wednesday night roller hockey league in North Vancouver. His teammates? Bedard, Kent Johnson
and Jake Christiansen — “Our team’s pretty good,” he said
As for the concerns about his size and skating
and the latter is something he began working hard at with skating coach Barb Aidelbaum last summer
When he’s done playing for Canada in Switzerland
he’s already got skates lined up with Aidelbaum and plans to make getting faster his No
“There’s obviously going to be criticism of you but I’ve been a smaller player my whole life so I now use that as a chip on my shoulder to go out there and prove everyone wrong
There’s still a lot of strides I have to take
but as I keep getting stronger and get my man legs
I think my skating is definitely going to come,” he said
On a phone call before the start of U18 Worlds
who also coaches against Cristall in the WHL with the Prince Albert Raiders
described Cristall as a “dynamic forward with speed and energy” in a bit of a departure from the critics
“He brings that enthusiasm and intensity to the game
He’s a guy that’s looked to for offense on this team — someone who is going to apply pressure on pucks and create offense that way,” Truit said
“But we also know he’s got leadership qualities from Kelowna
a real heady player with hockey IQ and finishing.”
His last chance to show them didn’t start how he’d hoped it would
he bounced back against Germany in Canada’s second game of the tournament
drawing a penalty on his first shift of the game and assisting on Canada’s second goal of the game
whether or not every team believes in him won’t matter
who remains close with Cristall and his parents
remains convinced that the NHL team that picks Cristall won’t regret the choice
“I’ll tell you one thing: Andrew is full of confidence and he will always believe that he can be the best player on the ice
chuckling as if that were an understatement
“I’m so proud of him and I just can’t wait for him to get that opportunity and fulfill his dream
And he deserves it because he’s such a great competitor.”

When it’s time to escape the city and soak up that rural air
be sure to visit one of these 10 prettiest small towns in Switzerland
Cobbled streets and fairytale castles, decorated fountains, and frescoed houses. It’s not hard to find plenty of great places to visit in Switzerland, largely thanks to centuries of Swiss neutrality
no crossfire; all of it means that almost every Swiss town has an unspoiled medieval heart
So which are the best towns in Switzerland to visit
This is one of those towns in Switzerland that many people rush past in their haste to reach somewhere else
There’s plenty to explore if you stop in this beautiful lakeside town and take a look around
Estavayer sits on the southern shore of Lake Neuchâtel
the largest lake completely within Switzerland
and has views across to the Jura mountains
You’ll find an imposing Savoyard castle that guards the bluff overlooking the lake
there are a host of atmospheric cobbled streets and squares
Does the name sound familiar? It should because this is where the delicious Swiss cheese comes from
But this gorgeous little gem is a whole lot more than its famous name and is seen by many as one of the prettiest towns in Switzerland
Stand in the sloping main square of Gruyères and you could be forgiven for thinking you’re on a Hollywood film set
complete with a brooding castle at the top of the town
This isn’t off the beaten track but despite the crowds it’s definitely worth it
Be sure to indulge in a cheesy lunch while you’re here
It would be hard to find a more complete small town in Switzerland than Murten
Not only are the encircling walls almost intact but you can walk along the ramparts and gaze across the rooftops
Plus there’s a splendid gate with a clock tower
the obligatory cobbles and all set beside a pretty lake
Is this the prettiest small town in Switzerland
It’s certainly the smallest one on this list
they say good things come in small packages
and Saint-Ursanne is definitely one for the quaint-hearted
It packs a lot into a small space: alongside the usual array of medieval houses and streets are an elegant 12th-century church and cloister and chunky town gates
The location beside the River Doubs simply adds to the romance
You might not find many locals who could successfully place cozy little Porrentruy on the map
Take a trip out to the borderlands and see for yourself
It’s tucked up in the northwestern corner of the country
with a Gallic flair to its genteel buildings and a sturdy castle
Truly an unmanicured and unhurried spot to escape the crowds
The top ten off-beat activities to do in Switzerland
then this little town on the German border will blow you away
you’ll be amazed that almost every other house is decorated with elaborate frescoes or graffiti paintwork
Those that aren’t frescoed still manage to fit in with half-timbered walls or gabled roofs
but you’ll want to head to the banks of the River Rhine to find some peace
Schloss Lenzburg is the type of Castle that deserves a big C
and courtyards that could have been created by the Brothers Grimm
not full of angry townspeople (as the Grimms would have had) but instead an attractive array of fine-looking buildings
If Disneyland had a Switzerland-themed park
then it would probably look like Appenzell
In the middle of the rolling green hills that make up Switzerland’s smallest canton is the tiny cantonal capital
It’s almost too pretty for its own good
This is about as traditional as Switzerland gets
An archetypal town center of Switzerland has a wide main street lined with handsome buildings and topped and tailed by impressive town gates
a chunkier version of the refined Untertor at the opposite end of the small-but-grand street
In between the two are more pretty buildings than you can shake a stick at
The best way to arrive in Rapperswil is by boat from Zurich
with the pointed towers of the castle and church crowning the skyline
Huddled around the castle hill is the lovely old town with its car-free center and lakeside promenade
Take a stroll then sit and enjoy an ice cream in the sun

(Editor’s note: Dalibor Dvorsky was drafted at No. 10 by the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.)
Switzerland — When Christoffer Malm left his job as assistant general manager of SHL club Rogle BK to take the general manager’s job at AIK in the second-tier HockeyAllsvenskan three years ago
his first order of business was to reach out to Dalibor Dvorsky and his father
As soon as Malm signed on to take the AIK job
he met the Dvorskys at the team’s practice facility and took his shot again
nice to meet you again but this time we’re not going anywhere because we’re going to keep Dalibor here,” he told them
Almost everyone in Sweden had made a similar pitch
signing his first pro contract shortly after his 15th birthday
He had moved to Sweden from Slovakia years earlier, at the age of 9, in search of stiffer competition, recognizing in himself what others in Sweden, Slovakia and quickly the NHL would: He was — and still is
according to those who have worked with him — advanced
a town of a little more than 40,000 people in central Slovakia
but moved into an apartment with his dad in Sweden
Both of his parents are ski coaches and his younger sister
he has spent his hockey seasons in Sweden and his summers back home
so he communicated as best he could with his teammates
He learned to speak Swedish in the locker room
and Malm now says he’s practically a “good Swedish citizen more or less.”
he’s back representing Slovakia as its assistant captain and top player at U18 Worlds in Switzerland
he’ll hear his name called in the top 20 (maybe top 10) at the 2023 NHL Draft in Nashville
Dvorsky was talked about as a potential top-five pick in the 2023 class
the then-15-year-old posted 14 points in six games with his under-18 team before returning to Slovakia to become its top professional league’s youngest player
and one of the youngest players to ever play regularly as a professional in Europe
registering two goals and four points in 20 games for HC Banska Bystrica
who was a full 14 and a half months older than him
registering 40 points in 33 games to lead all 16-year-olds in scoring at Sweden’s top under-20 junior level
making Slovakia’s national under-20 team as the youngest player to participate in the short-lived 2022 world juniors
and scoring a pair of goals at a second pro level with AIK’s senior team
When his draft year finally arrived this year
still one of the younger players in his class because of his mid-June birthday
playing only at the junior level (where he scored another 10 goals and 21 points in just 10 games) when the men’s team’s schedule would allow
He also made a second and third appearance at the world juniors
playing again for Slovakia in Edmonton at the summer restart of the 2022 event
and then in Halifax for the 2023 tournament
nearly helping them to a quarterfinal upset over Canada in the latter
Despite it already being his third year of professional hockey
he was still the league’s youngest player at 17
though NHL Central Scouting still ranks him third on their final list of European skaters
his draft stock has fallen since his Hlinka days
and he’s no longer considered a top-five option or a top-10 lock
More exposure to NHL scouts than his peers has come with nitpicking about his game
and questions of whether he will be a winger or a centre at the next level (Dvorsky played mostly the wing in his first year with AIK’s pro team
and played mostly centre this season before head coach Anton Blomqvist moved him back to the wing for the playoffs)
“I think (his skating) is going to be the question mark for everybody in how high he’s going to go and when someone’s going to pick him
I wouldn’t say that he’s a slow skater but he’s not the fastest out there,” Blomqvist said
“He’s actually pretty powerful in his stride but he could get quicker and that’s something we’ve been working on with him.”
Dvorsky heard them and has made getting faster a priority so that he can return to AIK (he is signed again for next year) and become a difference-maker at the pro level in his post-draft season
and the way it will translate at the next level
“It’s a fair criticism of my game (my skating)
I tried my best to improve it last summer and I hope I did
and I have a good shot too and can score on every opportunity.”
Malm and Blomqvist say nitpicks about his skating are just that
and argue that some have lost sight of how young he is because of how long he has been on the scene
but I don’t see it keeping him from becoming a top player,” Malm said
“And I’ve spoken to some NHL scouts too and they said that the difference between those two world juniors (in Edmonton and Halifax) were exactly what they wanted to see
so his skating is going to come along even better.”
Both Malm and Blomqvist insist he’s further along than his peers in almost every other way
and his track record of production across domestic and international levels well above his age group
I think he reads situations on the ice very
very quick and can adapt no matter what the level is,” said Blomqvist
(And) his physical element is really good I would say for a kid that age
he’s not one of those kids who is going to have to grow into his body.”
Malm says he projects as a second-line centre — the keyword being centre — and first power play guy on the half-wall at the NHL level
“Seeing him closely over the last two years
his progression has been tremendous,” Malm said
“One coach I worked with a couple of years ago said ‘There’s a difference between a talented kid and a real talented kid.’ A real talented kid
as soon as you tell him something two weeks later he adapts to it and plays the way you want
so good and he’s really confident with the puck.”
The staff at AIK saw that confidence from the very start
“I think it was our first or second preseason game and I just said to our video coach ‘It would be so fun if he could just score a goal to get that off his shoulders and gain some confidence’ and he actually scored two goals that game
And when he scored the first with a one-timer from the half-wall on the power play and you saw his celebration
right away you knew he doesn’t need the confidence boost
an assistant coach at the University of Vermont who has coached Dvorsky in all three of his world juniors as an assistant with Slovakia’s under-20 team
saw it while coaching the forwards and the power play in the latter two tournaments
Moser said one of the biggest turning points in Slovakia’s strong performance in Halifax was a power-play goal Dvorsky scored in their 6-3 round-robin upset win over USA when he “just stared down the barrel
and said ‘I’m going to rip this one’ and it was a perfect shot.”
gave his Slovak teammates the belief of “Woah
we can win this” — a belief Dvorsky already had
“For a young guy it was impressive just to see the belief he has in himself,” Moser said
“I was surprised at just how cerebral and mature he was for a kid his age
both in his game and also the things he cared about and was good at
and then he’s got a bit of those eye-popping qualities and he really believes in his shot
You see him playing the flank against men over in Europe and I think that’s pretty impressive
Like ‘please give it to me so that I can let this thing go.’”
Moser never noticed his skating as an issue until someone asked him about it during the Halifax tournament
he started to look at it and eventually settled on
“You’ve got to find something that a guy needs to work on but I’m sure people said the same things about Ryan O’Reilly,” Moser added
but there are some similarities in terms of faceoff detail
That’s someone you look at where if you think there’s a skating issue I think he just overcomes it because his IQ is so high and he believes in himself so much that I don’t see it as an issue.”
Moser argues that Dvorsky finds other ways to get from A to B than simply using speed
he said Dvorsky’s greatest skill may be “his ability to just go East-West for one more second or throw his hip into the guy that’s tracking him to hold onto the puck for one more second.”
“He’s maybe not the fleetest of foot skater that you’ve ever seen but he’s really good at finding that next quick pocket of open ice to see if the picture changes and see if he can extend his transport of the puck or if he has to give it up to someone else,” Moser said
“He’s going to do everything he can to make sure that he can move the puck onto a teammate as opposed to chipping and chasing it
People say we chip and chase it too often at times in college
He was the opposite and for a guy that age
He was really good at just finding one more second of soft ice before he really had to make a play with the puck.”
The one thing everything agrees on about Dvorsky is that his head — his mindset
he said “There wasn’t one bit of him that you’d see ‘Oh
he’s the high draft pick who knows he’s going on to bigger and better things.’”
Malm compares him to Canucks forward Nils Hoglander
Both Dvorsky and Hoglander always want to practice
They’re the kids who are still standing on the shooting ramp hours after the others kids have gone home
They’re the kids who wanted to go to the U18 or U20 team whenever the pro team wasn’t playing
the staff at AIK actually had to go to Dvorsky and tell him “Hey
you’re going to have to be good in the games and ready for the games
so we have to set a schedule,” because he was spending too much time at the rink
top character in all levels,” Blomqvist said
“And it would be very easy for me as a coach to kind of sell that because I want him to do well but in this case
I can really speak from the bottom of my heart and be totally honest
he loves the game and if you ask him to work two hours he’s going to go four.”
that will allow Dvorsky to get to the NHL and retain the status he has held for so long
he’s one of those kids that you can tell him what you want him to do one time and he can understand right away and adapt really
I have nothing but really high praise to say about him because he’s phenomenal as a guy,” Blomqvist said
“Whoever picks him is going to get a great kid and a guy who is going to do everything in his power to be the best player he can be.”

It’s impressive to see what a small brand like Brellum has managed to pull off in just eight years. With several collections under its belt dominated by chronographs, the one family that does not feature a chronograph is the Wyvern GMT watch
Brellum’s modus operandi involves regular changes in colours
and complications in addition to the chronograph
and always in limited production runs at somewhat sensible prices
it is the twin box sapphire crystals that give this family its name
Evoking the look of box acrylics of the mid-20th century
the box-shaped sapphire crystals protrude above the confines of the case on both sides of the watch
Although box-shaped crystals are common over dials
they are rarely used on the reverse side of the case
The new 39mm Duobox models retain the characteristic 15.3mm thickness of the larger models (11.05mm without crystals) and have a lug-to-lug distance of 48mm
The well-built 100m water-resistant steel case does not skimp on finishings; the case middle has satin finished surfaces contrasting with the polished pushers and bezel
but the tricompax layout – 30-minute totaliser at 3
12-hour totaliser at 6 with date aperture and small seconds at 9 o’clock – differs from earlier models
The sunray-brushed dial has a somewhat antiquated pulsometer scale and a precision minutes track printed on the periphery
The three sub-dials are slightly recessed with snailed interiors and wide brushed frames
the silver dial has a solid blue central chronograph seconds hand; the anthracite dial has a green-tipped one
and the blue dial has a red-tipped central seconds hand
The applied diamond-cut hour markers and hands are treated with Super-LumiNova
the large openworked rose gold-coated rotor is inscribed with the chronometer certification and limited edition status of the watch
the blued column wheel ensures smooth operation of the pushers and enhanced longevity
The Brellum Duobox is a limited edition of 46 pieces per colour and comes with a black calfskin leather strap and a stainless steel bracelet in the package. Including VAT and worldwide shipping, the retail price is CHF 3,190 / EUR 3,765 / USD 3,690 / GBP 3,150. Available from 15 November 2024, it is available exclusively online at Brellum.Swiss

Thibaut Pinot was the revelation of the 2012 Tour de France
The young FDJ rider won the solo Alpine stage Porrentruy and finished 10th overall on general classification
France and his team had high hopes for him
"You guys spent the whole year praising me to the skies
the whole year since the end of the 2012 Tour and now

people are saying I should try to get in breaks
I'm not even sure I know how to do that anymore."

"It's not what any of us expected," said Vichot in Bagneres-de-Bigorre at the end of a stage where his erstwhile team leader had lost another 25 minutes

The two forwards are facing disciplinary sanctions due to cross-checking and respectively boarding
Monika Majer / RvS.Media
Jan Kovář will surely not travel to Porrentruy tonight to suit up against HC Ajoie. He was sanctioned with a major and game misconduct penalty yesterday evening for cross-checking HC Lugano's Mirco Müller
While the single judge investigates the matter
Kovář is provisionally suspended for one game
Similarly, Yannick-Lennart Albrecht will not travel to Fribourg today. The forward of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers is provisionally suspended for one game for boarding HC Ambrì-Piotta Isacco Dotti
the officials had inflicted a minor penalty on the Laker
The 32-year-old forward will be available to the Grenats until December 8
HC Ajoie can, however, recall him if they need him in Porrentruy. Oula Palve will join Genève-Servette HC as an injury replacement for Theodor Lennström who is dealing with a lower-body injury
Palve is in his first season with HC Ajoie and has appeared in 18 games for them

The first Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has been delivered to Switzerland
The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has been a bit of a saga here at Cars UK Towers this year. We broke the news that Lamborghini were planning a roofless version of the Reventon Coupe back in March
and apart from the fact that no one believed our ‘Scoop’ – and we had Lamborghini on the phone asking us to retract the story – we were sure the information we had was real
So at least our ‘Reventon Roadster Saga’ had come to an end and we could stop fretting that we’d been given a bum steer
But there is one last piece of the Roadster puzzle to report on – the first Reventon Roadster customer car (unless a nice Reventon Roadster owner lets us have a drive!)
So when we heard through the grapevine that Garage R
Affolter – Lamborghini main dealers in Porrentruy in Switzerland – had taken delivery of what appears to be the first customer car
we thought it would round things off nicely if we got them to send us some pictures of the car
and he’s sent us the pictures you see here of the Reventon Roadster
