construction of the D11 motorway will begin in Královec
The section between Trutnov and the Polish border is expected to be completed by 2027 and will connect to the Polish S3 expressway
The start of construction was delayed for several months due to disputes over the contractor selection
The Polish company Budimex SA and a Czech-Slovak-Hungarian consortium led by MI Roads of the Metrostav Group competed for the contract
the media reported that construction had stalled
All complications have since been resolved in record time,” wrote Martin Kupka
The Minister emphasised that the 21-kilometre section of the D11 motorway represents the largest road contract in the history of the Czech Roads and Motorways Directorate (RSD)
and three level crossings will be built between Trutnov and the Polish border
Czech media have highlighted that no other motorway of such engineering complexity has ever been built in the country
The first step will be the construction of a three-kilometre section between Královec and Bernartice
the expressway currently allows access to the Lubawka junction
will be opened when the D11 section in the Czech Republic is completed
“This is an extremely demanding project and the largest RSD order in decades
It’s crucial to maximise the remaining time before winter
We need to start construction as soon as possible
and we are now providing RSD with all the necessary support,” said Zdenek Ludvik
The Czech Roads and Motorways Directorate is also preparing the second missing section of the D11 motorway between Jaromer and Trutnov
the tender for this contract will be announced later this year
with construction expected to begin next year
most of the S3 route has already been completed
the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways opened the section of the expressway between the Bolków and Kamienna Góra Północ junctions
The S3 section between Świnoujście and Troszyn in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship is still under construction and is expected to be operational by the end of 2024
Once the Świnoujście-Troszyn section is finished
a modern transport route will span Poland’s western border
connecting the ports of Świnoujście and Szczecin to southern Poland and the Czech Republic
the route will extend all the way to Prague
forming a vital link between Poland and its southern neighbour

Ředitelství silnic a dálnic (ŘSD) zprovoznilo 9
V celé 12,6 kilometru dlouhé trase budoucí dálnice může nyní Ředitelství silnic a dálnic začít vykupovat pozemky a chystat žádost o stavební povolení
Ředitelství silnic a dálnic dnes zahájilo výstavbu silnice I/36 Časy – Holice
Nová komunikace bude plnit nejen funkci silnice I
ale také dálničního přivaděče z nové úseku D35 ve směru na Holice

Check out our show review and Day 4 coverage of 2016’s Brutal Assault Festival hosted at Fortress Josefov in Jaroměř
As we got on the bus to head out to day four of Brutal Assault
we noticed that we weren’t the only ones that looked a little exhausted
Being a little fatigued isn’t going to stop us from enjoying this final day of Brutal Assault
Today we decided to wander about the festival host town of Jaroměř before entering the fortress grounds
Jaroměř has a very similar feel to the village of Wacken
The town really gets behind the festival and welcomes it with horns up
restaurant and shop was tailored to the black t-shirt masses of that descended upon it
food and beverage is much cheaper on the outside of the festival grounds so there was a contingent of festival goers that spent most of their time on the outside and just entered the festival site to only watch the bands
After some more absinthe lemonade and beer
the majority of the bands we were going to check out were in the evening so we decided to do some shopping first
were in the same area located opposite of the main two stages
I’m sure this is done so there’s less crowding around the stages and it’s a wise idea at that
there were plenty of vendors selling bootleg band shirts
I noticed a Nuclear Death shirt at one of them
Nuclear Death was an extreme grind/death metal band from Phoenix
Arizona that has been defunct for more than a couple of decades at this point and I know them personally
I highly doubt they are getting a penny from the sales of these bootlegs and that’s sad
It’s great that bands like them stay alive in memory in this fashion
it’s their intellectual property that is being stolen
Check out the Brutal Assault festival trailer
The first band we watched were the German thrash metal titans
They never stray far from their formula of thrash metal because it works for them and their loyal fan base appreciates this
They recently released an EP called Under Attack and I was pretty sure they were going to play some material off of it today
I wasn’t a fan of this latest release but the good news for me is that they only played a couple of tracks off of it during their hour-long set
The highlight of the set for me was when they played “Mad Butcher.” During the song a “Mad Butcher” came from out of nowhere and started chasing a scantily clad
voluptuous woman about the stage with a large butcher knife in hand
he eventually caught and dragged her to a strategically placed butcher block stand located at the middle of the stage
The butcher mimicked that he was hacking her to pieces and then he pulled out a bag of what appeared to be meat and entrails and placed it on the stand
He then started hacking away at the bag of meat until he was splattered with blood and the pieces of meat were cut
He started chucking the chopped meat at the blood thirsty audience in front of him…good times
Destruction is not allowed to bring this part of the stage show to North America but it’s perfectly acceptable in Europe
We felt fortunate to have witnessed this element of Destruction’s stage show because it adds a macabre theater feel that’s sorely missed from most heavy music in general
both of the stage fields quickly filled to witness one of the festival’s main attractions
you know how serious they work at their craft of being one of the best Black Metal bands around
They played their most recent critically acclaimed album
front to back much to the crowd’s liking and to appease the part of the crowd that wanted to hear some of their older material
they played “Ov Fire and the Void”
“Conquer All” and “Chant for Eschaton”
Because tonight was obviously Polish black metal night at Brutal Assault
Cloaked in their customary black leather jackets worn over black hoodies and their faces covered in black synthetic material
MGLA played a spread of material off all their releases
they are visually one dimensional but I wonder if this is done on purpose so you can focus on their precise and intense playing style
MGLA seemed to be a crowd favorite and evoked a terrific response from the audience
wrapped up the final night of Brutal Assault for us
Before seeing this version of Venom sans Cronos
My mindset after the split of the original Venom was
and told me to open minded and give it a chance…fuck…I’m glad I did
This version of Venom FEELS and SOUNDS like the Venom of old to me more than Cronos version of Venom
It has more of that dirty “black and roll” feel to it and it’s just rawer
I love watching Abaddon because he still looks the same from back in their prime and acts like it too; taking swigs of Jack Daniels between songs and egging on the crowd while doing it
they played a wide spectrum of material from the classic era of Venom and finished their set with “Die Hard”
They were definitely my favorite band on this final day of Brutal Assault
As we stumbled towards the bus to bring us back to the hotel for the final time of the festival
I thought about the Brutal Assault experience as a whole
the rest of festival took place without a hitch
Bloodstock and 70,000 Tons of Metal experiences
this is my favorite large metal festival experience to date
Next year’s line-up already looks promising with such acts as Emperor and Ulcerate already being announced
but we’re definitely returning to Brutal Assault at some point

The first three episodes of the epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time
which has been shooting in the Czech Republic over the past two years
The remaining five episodes of season one will debut weekly starting next Friday and run through the end of the year
Forecast by some to fill the fantasy void left by Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time is based on the long-running series of fantasy novels originally created by Robert Jordan
The series began shooting in the Czech Republic in the autumn of 2019
faced nearly a year of delays due to the coronavirus pandemic
and finally wrapped shooting in the spring of 2021
A second season of The Wheel of Time has already been greenlit by Amazon, and is currently in production in Prague. Hopes for the series are high, and showrunner Rafe Judkins has stated that he plans a total of eight seasons for the series
Pike has been living in Prague for the past two years, and even accepted her Golden Globe win for I Care a Lot from the Czech capital
Primary production for the series has taken place in a Prague studio that was built for the series. Nicknamed Jordan Studios after the author, the Prague 9 location was converted from a former truck factory to serve as The Wheel of Time’s primary hub
Additional filming has taken place in rural locations around the Czech Republic
Some scenes for the first season were also shot in Slovenia and Croatia
Early reviews for the series have been decidedly mixed, but it’s worth noting that Game of Thrones faced similar criticism when it first debuted
“Amazon Prime’s The Wheel of Time is a ponderous slog, a show that wants so badly to be the next Game of Thrones or even The Witcher that it telegraphs its pretentious self-seriousness with every line of dialogue and slow turn in the plot,” says The Playlist’s Brian Tallerico in a complete pan of the new series
Collider’s Carly Lane, meanwhile, scores the series an “A” rating in a rave review
“By the end of the six episodes that were given to critics for review
it really feels like the adventure is only just beginning — so it’s fortunate that the streaming series has already been renewed for a second season,” Lane writes
“Like any good fantasy epic, The Wheel of Time is one that promises very impressive returns
provided audiences are willing to settle in for the long haul.”
For customers in the Czech Republic, which does not have an official Amazon presence, a subscription to Amazon Prime via another country (Germany, for instance) will allow viewing of original Amazon programming such as The Wheel of Time in the Czech Republic
Viewers using a VPN through the host country will also be able to view additional Prime Video content licensed from other distributors
Additional Prime benefits such as free shipping will not transfer to customers in the Czech Republic
Season 3 is such a huge improvement over the previous two so far
Highly recommend checking it out especially for fans disappointed by the first season
and website in this browser for the next time I comment

For any American university to land a high jumper the caliber of Jakub Belik requires creativity
and the summer of 2021 was all about creative recruiting
Belik was ready to venture from his home of Jaromer, Czechia (formerly Czech Republic) to continue his education
but given the state of COVID in the world and all the limitations that implied
whatever destination he was going to select was going to have to be blind
no assessing the lay of the land with his own eyes
More: Scion of a track dynasty, freshman vaulter Alla Parnov blazes own path to UTEP
UTEP jumps coach Paul Benavides got Belik on a video call
changed the perspective on his phone's camera
and proceeded to walk around the campus with a guided tour where Belik never had to leave his couch
"We never got an option to check out schools but I still think I made a pretty good choice," Belik said of that fateful decision three years ago
Benavides remembers his stroll around campus well
"I took my phone around: The LKD (Durham) center
It worked for everyone. Belik found a new home he loves. UTEP got a high jumper who has won three consecutive CUSA titles and is solidly favored for a fourth next month in El Paso.
Last week in Long Beach, Calif., Belik earned his first personal best since his arrival at UTEP
1.5-inches) that he and Benavides think is the breakthrough that could lead to bigger bars and an even brighter future
After clearing the bar with his new personal best
I just remember jumping around all excited," Belik said
I felt so good afterward because I waited so long for the next pr
I had good jumps at 2.20 (7-2 1/2) that I almost cleared
Too see all the hard work pay off means a lot
He's had a lot of good tries at 2.19 and 2.20
in training he's been jumping crazy heights
he was probably 2.25 in the air (7-4 1/2) and just clipped it
jumping at the higher bars and getting timing over the bar."
Getting the timing will be a key for Belik this year in several ways
Last season he was jumping his best outdoors in the weeks leading up to the NCAA championships
which he qualified for with a big day at regionals
he sustained a leg injury and eventually no-heighted at nationals
but one that makes him hungry for this year
I think I'm ready to jump well," Belik said
Belik's journey to America has gone mostly smoothly
He gained 15 pounds his first semester as a freshman — a combination of new food and stress that comes with a cross-continent relocation — but lost it quickly enough
but that never hampered him in the classroom where he's a perennial CUSA academic medalist
you start to think in a different language," Belik said
"His first year here he was shy and quiet," Benavides said
He's a great teammate to all the kids around
one well worth giving a tour of campus on a cell phone

the attack left him hospitalized and in need of a “fairly complex operation,” though he didn’t go into too much detail
bergen august 12 2023 ps: no journalists will be granted an interview
At last month's Brutal Assault festival in Jaromer, Czech Republic, BUTCHER BABIES vocalists Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey spoke to Metalshop about the band's upcoming fourth studio album which was recently completed with producer Josh Schroeder (LORNA SHORE
Heidi said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "We released a barrage of singles throughout 2020 and 2021
and we're gonna follow that up with a full-length album in 2023
But we're also going to finish out the rest of this year with a bunch of singles from that album
We played one new song today from that album
Asked why it's better to release singles than a full-length album in 2022
Carla said: "I think we live in a time where people want things right now; they want new stuff all the time
And I also think that when you release a single
fall in love with that song before they skip to the next one and the next one and the next one
We really like developing a song on its own
Added Heidi: "We put our heart and soul into every single song that goes on the album
and so we want to make sure that it gets the life and the attention it deserves
And so I think we're just gonna continue this way and just leak it a little bit at a time and keep it going."
In a separate interview with Bloodstock TV
Carla stated about the recording process for the new BUTCHER BABIES LP: "It was a really cool experience
We got to sit together for about six weeks in the middle of nowhere — a very
very small town in Michigan — and just create together
And we had an Airbnb with animal skulls all over the place
And we just sat there in the snow and created probably our best album to date
Heidi confirmed that a cover song that BUTCHER BABIES have been performing at some of their recent shows will be included on the band's new effort
"We've been playing one of the songs on these [European] festivals," she said
"One of the songs that we've been playing on these festivals
it's called 'Best Friend' and it's a cover from the hip-hop artist Saweetie featuring Doja Cat
we thought it would be the best way to do a cover — a hip-hop/metal cover — since we've been best friends for
When Oran O'Beirne of Bloodstock TV suggested that some BUTCHER BABIES fans might object to such a diverse combination of musical styles
because some of our earliest songs were similar
We've always run the gamut throughout our music; we've never stayed with one style
Most people love about BUTCHER BABIES that we have a death metal song and a thrash metal song and then a poppy radio song
Added Heidi: "What I love about being in a band like this and being around musicians that we all see eye to eye is that we can do different things; we're not pigeonholed to one certain sound
Sometimes we wanna get up and we wanna scream and we wanna be angry bitches
and then sometimes we wanna sing and we want people to hear what we feel from our hearts
And I think that that's important as an artist
Carla continued: "And judging by the audience reaction when we go from one very
They have literally the same energy for both kinds of music
People want the freedom to be able to like different types of music."

“Choke on It '91” is the closing track from Death’s second studio album, Leprosy. Gruesome was actually formed after Exhumed’s Matt Harvey and former Malevolent Creation drummer Gus Rios took part in the Death to All tours
The band is rounded out by bassist Robin Mazen and Possessed guitarist Daniel Gonzalez
“This is a true homage from apprentice to master for me!" Rios says of the Death cover
"The idea was to reinterpret this song as if Sean Reinert had recorded it
though I've always been very vocal about my adoration of Bill Andrew's more simple but solid style
This is simply a fun reworking of what I consider to one of the best tunes on Leprosy
and one that I thought would particularly lend itself well to some more complex grooves
Doing my best Bill Reinert impersonation!”

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante claims his neighbors hate him. Why? Well, just take a look below at a photo of the oversized KISS prop boots dominating the musician's front yard landscape
They're taller than parts of his house
Benante shared the image on Instagram late Tuesday (April 24). In it, the enlarged likenesses of unmistakable stage footwear from KISS' own The Demon (Gene Simmons) and The Starchild (Paul Stanley) are straddling his front door
It's just the latest glimpse of Benante's private life Anthrax fans have been privy to view. Last month, the drummer used the photo and video-sharing service to publicly debut his relationship with Butcher Babies singer Carla Harvey
Both Anthrax and KISS will be on tour throughout the summer. Benante's band will hit the road on a run of European festival dates, while Simmons and Stanley's act embark on the second leg of the final KISS tour

Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante claims his neighbors hate him. Why? Well, just take a look below at a photo of the oversized KISS prop boots dominating the musician's front yard landscape
Benante shared the image on Instagram late Tuesday (April 24). In it, the enlarged likenesses of unmistakable stage footwear from KISS' own The Demon (Gene Simmons) and The Starchild (Paul Stanley) are straddling his front door
Both Anthrax and KISS will be on tour throughout the summer. Benante's band will hit the road on a run of European festival dates, while Simmons and Stanley's act embark on the second leg of the final KISS tour
