the Race Director and FIA Single Seater Sporting Director
Russell was the nearest rival to pole-sitting McLaren driver Oscar Piastri in Qualifying
in evidence stated that he gave the instruction for the cars to be released

One of Uzbekistan’s leading construction companies
with the state’s 51.1% stake sold for 111 billion UZS
This acquisition makes Komilov the primary owner of a company that has attracted media attention for securing trillion-UZS projects without tenders
Doniyor Komilov is the son of Abdulaziz Komilov
one of Uzbekistan’s most influential politicians
Abdulaziz Komilov served as Foreign Minister for many years and currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council for Foreign Policy and Security Issues
Doniyor Komilov was largely unknown to the general Uzbek public
his company Metropol Group LLC purchased the former National Security Service headquarters in central Tashkent for 210 billion UZS
the largest alcohol production plant in Uzbekistan
acquired the Chinoz Oil Refinery and UNG Petro fuel station network
The fuel stations were later rebranded as Carvon
making it the largest gas station network in Uzbekistan
details about how these assets transitioned from state ownership remain unknown
as no official information has been disclosed regarding the transactions
According to the company and organization registry
Doniyor Abdulazizovich Komilov directly owns stakes in at least 10 companies in Uzbekistan
open sources provide numerous reports about his major assets in Russia
he was the head of Gazprombank’s Managing Company – Strategic Assets JSC
he was a board member of "Uralmashzavod."
reports surfaced suggesting that Komilov had become a beneficiary owner of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company
one of Russia’s largest copper producers
The privatized "Trest-12" is not a newly established company
12 was formed under the order of "Boshtoshkentqurilish" to carry out public construction projects
"Trest-12" has been involved in major projects
including the reconstruction of the Cabinet of Ministers building
the Management Development Institute of Singapore
One of its latest large-scale projects is the construction of the Islamic Civilization Center
media reports began surfacing about "Trest-12" receiving large state contracts without tenders
the Anti-Corruption Agency investigated the company and found that it had been awarded projects worth almost 5 trillion UZS without a tender
most of these non-competitive contracts involved conflicts of interest
had both his son and wife listed among the company's shareholders
"The direct allocation of certain projects to Trust-12 has its justifications
and complies with strict regulations that not all companies can adhere to
the decision to award projects directly is not mine to make—it is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers
As for the widely discussed 450 billion UZS
I have no knowledge of it; I focus on my own responsibilities
There is no direct connection between me and Trust-12."
Adam Trest collaborated with Erin Napier to create her children’s book The Lantern House which will be released in May 2022
the 53-year-old son of former Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov
who currently serves as the President's Special Representative for Foreign Policy
has acquired a 51.12 percent state stake in the construction company "Trest-12"
The State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan reported the transaction
the privatization consultant conducted extensive marketing efforts and sent investment teasers to potential investors
expressions of interest were received from four foreign and local investors
the consultant invited three applicants who met the pre-established criteria to participate in the next stage of the privatization process — submitting binding offers (BO)
Applicants who signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) were granted access to comprehensive due diligence reports prepared by the consultant
They also had the opportunity to meet with the company's management
the consultant received binding offers from two applicants
The winning bid came from LLC "Delta Global Dynamics"
which offered the highest purchase price of 111 billion sums
Daniyor Kamilov is the 100 percent owner of LLC Delta Global Dynamics
having graduated from the Moscow Institute of International Relations and Moscow State University
Some sources claim he built his financial influence in Russia with the support of oligarch Alisher Usmanov
Kamilov previously served as first vice president of "Gazprombank" and was a member of the board of directors of the bank's "OMZ" machine-building holding and its subsidiaries
he had become the beneficial owner of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UKMK)
Russia’s largest copper producer and the ninth-largest in the world
reported a combined revenue of nearly 890 billion rubles (7.1 billion US dollars) and a total net profit exceeding 190 billion rubles (15 million US dollars)
Kamilov has several businesses registered in Moscow
Russian sources frequently refer to Kamilov as an oligarch
though neither Russian nor Uzbek reports specify his net worth
his companies have been expanding into Uzbekistan in recent years
specializes in the wholesale and retail trade of alcoholic beverages
purchased the former State Security Service headquarters on Sayilgoh Street in Tashkent in June 2021 for 210 billion sums
the building was listed as a cultural heritage site in Uzbekistan’s National Register of Real Estate Objects of Material Cultural Heritage
a Cabinet of Ministers resolution removed the building from the cultural heritage list
It was subsequently demolished to make way for the Radisson Collection Hotel
which is currently under construction.

Let's take a look inside this $500,000 Mississippi home
The home contains a total of three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Zillow presents the master bedroom with an ample amount of space for both bedroom furniture as well as a small sitting area
The other two rooms are somewhat smaller but are the perfect size for children within the home
are rather smaller but still provides enough space for comfortable bathroom functions
The kitchen expands again with plenty of cooking space
accompanied by a small breakfast area and a more formal dining spot
Zillow states that there are also multiple seating areas throughout the home
perfect for entertaining guests or simply spending time with family
These seating areas are located both inside and outside of the home
There is also plenty of space to add a studio or work office to the home as well
just as Adam Trest has before decided to sell the house
visitors are almost immediately met with the beautiful cottage theme that engulfs the home
Visitors are led from the entrance through a small sitting area
and windows that naturally light the area from above
where the cooking space is designed with rustic brown wooden cabinets and reddish-brown floor tiles
Zillow shows that the tiles continue into all of the bedrooms
where they are contrasted with light-colored walls
The corresponding bathrooms take on a variety of different looks
The master bathroom introduces a more modern look to the home with white floor tiles
These light elements are deeply contrasted by a dark wooden ceiling
The master bedroom does not continue the modern look
it includes more of the cottage theme than all the other bedrooms with the brownish-red tile floors
the living room seems to take on a rather average style
with plain white walls and matching tan carpet

Mississippi artist Adam Trest illustrates the South’s quintessential cities
By Caroline Sanders Clements
A strong sense of place is a feeling that unites all Southerners
and the charms of the region’s great cities
Trest is launching a new series of watercolor maps of what he deems some of the most essential Southern places
He comes by his love for cartography naturally
After three and a half years at Mississippi State
Trest changed his major from architecture to art in order to follow the footsteps of Walter Anderson and the other great Mississippi artists who inspired him as a child
where he happened upon an early concept map of Fantasyland
“I loved it and couldn’t get it out of my mind,” Trest says
After years of painting watercolor portraits and teaching art to local schoolchildren
a friend asked him to illustrate a children’s book about the history of Laurel
“I wanted the cover pages to be a map of Laurel,” he says
he then painted the Square in downtown Oxford
“But the Mississippi State people got upset I was painting the enemy,” he laughs
and then the entrance to the Lucas Administration Building at USM for good measure.” Having tackled three of Mississippi’s public universities
Once he began printing his maps on pillows backed with coordinating patterns
leading him to open a home goods store in downtown Laurel in 2015
Although filled with many other collections
the maps have remained one of his favorite ventures
Trest launched his new Southern Cities Collection
opening the door for many more maps to come
“I’m trying to paint the quintessential Southern towns,” Trest says
‘That’s where I got married’ or ‘That’s where I’ve gone on vacation since I was four.’” He began his new collection with New Orleans
a city he and his family have visited regularly since he was a child
“I needed an opportunity to do Jackson Square—the cathedral is like a castle and I could just see those carriages lined up in my mind,” Trest says
Trest visits the area and takes as many pictures as possible
I use Google maps to fill in the gaps and double check myself.” After drafting each map out in pencil and then erasing it so the lines are barely visible
This technique allows room for his creativity to emerge
What may be a couple of ink lines on a more realistic map become flourishes of character on one of Trest’s pieces
His small towns have flagpoles and basketball goals
and a larger-than-life sailboat sits anchored in the harbor of Bay St
“I want the feel of the place to come out,” he says
where Trest lived for a year after college on a bright red 1973 Pearson ten meter
The to-do list keeps growing with destinations like Chapel Hill
and Mount Vernon only a few of the places Trest hopes to paint in the near future
they won’t think of me as the artist,” he says
“The maps will begin to tell your story about that place
It’ll provide a vessel for your memories.”
Caroline Sanders Clements is the associate editor at Garden & Gun and oversees the magazine’s annual Made in the South Awards
Since joining G&G’s editorial team in 2017
native has written and edited stories about artists
A look back at Lexington’s Calumet Farm and its storied cast of Thoroughbreds
Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain wonderland still sparkles
and we’re looking back at our own winner’s circle
The future of conservation in the South just got a little bit brighter—and not just for salamanders
but they’re the craftsmanship of local crustaceans called lawn lobsters
The drawls are receiving a lot of flak across the internet
but a North Carolina linguist argues they’re actually pretty accurate
Emissary of Trest is a powerful Vintage Cube card
but is it worth an early three-color commitment
This draft started with unremarkable packs headlined by the counterspells that I drafted
and I’m not expecting anything I’ll be thrilled about on the wheel — the standard Vintage Cube experience
Take a look at the decision I was faced with for Pack 1
Pick 3; take your time to vote for what you’d pick; and then check out my thoughts on the various options and find out what I picked
I’ve first-picked Tezzeret in drafts that I’ve trophied
though like Leovold there is some downside to this pick
Tezzeret just isn’t much of a card if you don’t end up with a good spread of powerful and cheap artifacts
That’s likely the sort of thing this deck will be looking for anyway
A year or so ago I was very fond of a Vintage Cube archetype that I referred to as “Jeskai Playables.” You can probably surmise what such a deck looked like
Lately sticking to Azorius has proven to be just as powerful as branching into Jeskai due to powerful additions with the planeswalker type Teferi
Arkansas has a notable place in Division I baseball history
Fourteen straight NCAA Tournament appearances prior to 2016. Eight first-round MLB draft picks and 212 picks in total
White Oak's Elijah Trest is expected be a part of future Razorbacks teams
The junior outfielder verbally committed to the storied program Monday and became the second local 2018 prospect to pledge to a Southeastern Conference school
Carthage outfielder Hunter Townsend committed to Mississippi last October
Trest has started on White Oak's baseball team since his freshman year
the right fielder elevated his batting average 49 points to .288 and upped his on-base percentage to .442 through 38 career high school games
The junior also notched his first two career wins on the mound last season and now owns a 2-0 record through 30 career innings of work
White Oak reached the Class 3A Region III semifinals this past season and made an area round appearance Trest's freshman year
Trest is expected to be a good football player as well
He made eight varsity tackles last season as a defender and caught seven passes for 39 yards
White Oak football lost 10 seniors to graduation following its trip to the Class 3A Division I regional semifinals
so Trest should have a bigger role the next two seasons
Arkansas' 14-year run to NCAA Tournaments ended this year after a 26-29 baseball season
It missed the 12-team SEC Tournament field as a result of its conference-worst 7-23 league record
The 2016 season was easily the worst of head coach Dave Van Horn's 13 years in Fayetteville
All of Van Horn's other Razorback squads at least qualified for the postseason toward his 550-324 overall record at the school
Van Horn owns a 870-483 all-time coaching record with other stops at Texarkana College
Nebraska went to two College World Series with Van Horn while Arkansas has enjoyed five trips to Omaha with the coach
Arkansas still has a ways to go with Trest to make it official
like all baseball prospects entering their junior year of high school
will not become eligible to sign with the program until November of 2017 and will automatically become eligible for the 2018 MLB draft after graduating high school

Lily Trest cuts the ribbon at the Caron Gallery South
A new art gallery recently opened at 317 North Magnolia St.
The Caron Gallery South had a grand-opening recently and unveiled a 2,500-square-foot gallery that will feature works from more than 50 Mississippi artists
the art gallery was located on Short 7th Avenue
making the move to the larger exhibition hall necessary
imagination and visualization immediately grabs the attention of visitors
who are able to also purchase the works they are especially fond of
“Only Mississippi artists are featured in the Caron Gallery South,” owner Lily Trest said
“Mississippi gets a bad reputation at times
but we also have many artists that the world needs to know about.”
Local artists Adam Trest and Cherilon Stevens were among those in attendance
and their works are a part of the collection
an art form in which images are engraved into gems or other precious materials
“It is a wonderful opportunity to have a gallery here in downtown Laurel to display our art,” Stevens said
who lamented the fact that all of those ads in comic books that promised to teach kids how to be an artist didn’t work
still is very appreciative of the art community and its presence downtown
“Thank you (Caron Gallery South) for investing in downtown Laurel,” Magee said
“Downtown continues to grow and continues to thrive
and this just shows that we are more than southern hillbillies.”
the Caron Gallery South will also offer custom framing

PITTSBURGH – Cheyenne Trest may only stand at 5-7
but the Canon-McMillan junior guard isn’t afraid to drive through multiple defenders for a layup
When she drove past Fox Chapel’s Gabby Bradway for a layup midway through the first quarter
Trest found her game plan against a stingy defense focused on stopping Big Macs center Becca Turney
It was her driving through multiple defenders with a reckless abandon that helped Canon-McMillan’s girls basketball team make history Wednesday night
Trest made a game-winning layup with 6.8 seconds remaining and Fox Chapel’s final shot at the buzzer fell short as the sixth-seeded Big Macs defeated the Foxes 51-49 at Baldwin High School in a WPIAL Class AAAA first-round playoff game
It was the first playoff win in program history for Canon-McMillan (15-7)
which advanced to the quarterfinals to face third-seeded Penn Hills Friday at a site and time to be determined
The Big Macs also clinched at least a spot in the PIAA play-in bracket
“We’re making history,” Canon-McMillan head coach Lou Waller said
With the Foxes (13-9) collapsing the lane to stop Turney
including 14 in the second half with most coming while driving against multiple defenders
the last was the sweetest after she committed a costly turnover moments earlier
Her errant pass from the left wing with 50 seconds remaining was caught by Taylor Cohen
who converted with a fast-break layup to tie the score
Canon-McMillan junior guard Kierra King drove to the lane and passed to Turney on the baseline
twisting awkwardly to send a shot in for the lead
took the ensuing inbound passed and quickly fired it down court to Cohen
whose short baseline jumper hit the rim at the buzzer to end the game
“After I threw the ball away and it was a tie game again
“I wanted the ball in my hands to try to finish the game off and my teammates did a great job getting it to me.”
Canon-McMillan made a concerted effort to get the ball down low to Turney
but the Foxes smothered here every time she caught a pass in the lane
With King and sophomore Taylor Waller in foul trouble early
the Big Macs had trouble defending and Fox Chapel’s offense began to excel in the third quarter
Sarah Supsura’s three-pointer gave the Foxes a 38-33 lead and their leading scorer
made one of two free throws to give FC a three-point lead entering the fourth quarter
The Big Mac grabbed the lead again when Lindsay Beach
which spread Canon-McMillan’s defense out to draw Turney away from the post
the Big Macs went on a 7-0 run and she scored their final six points to help C-M grab the win
Though Fox Chapel limited Turney to nine points and eight rebounds
Fox Chapel couldn’t find an answer for Trest

Beaches close to airport runways are a dream-come-true for plane enthusiasts and elite Instagrammers alike
Mai Khao Beach, near Phuket International Airport, will impose a 9km "safety zone," the Bangkok Post reported
"People and tourists will not be allowed to enter this area to take photos," Wichit Kaeothaithiam
"The maximum penalty is the death sentence."
“People will be able to take photos from the beach further away from the runway
This way people can enjoy the beach without compromising safety."
We need to savor every moment we have left with the Napiers: every woodworking project
every time Mallorie goes shopping with Erin
Adam and Lily Trest own a shop in downtown Laurel (Adam Trest Home
about a two-minute walk from Laurel Mercantile) and are looking for a new home
and everyone is on top of one another in their current living situation
They want something eclectic and relaxed and have $200,000 to work with
1,800-square foot home on seven acres of land
It's not much to look at from the yard because it's just so white it becomes washed out
but Erin will bring in bigger columns on the front porch
new shutters and a metal roof that'll make it pop
but it's also really dated and just not at all them
paint everything and do something with the weird polygon-shaped kitchen island
which is much bigger at 2,500 square feet holding four bedrooms and two bathrooms
It's really strange from the road — there's a two-floor barn-like structure
(Working theory that they don't actually confirm: The middle part was an addition to connect the two ends.) Lily is not a fan
But Erin says they'll paint the brick white and put cedar shakes on the middle part (and her watercolor painting drops the garage/carport entirely
Like it belongs in a John Hughes movie starring Molly Ringwald dated
So the Napiers are talking about taking out walls
painting everything white to give it the air of space and using stone countertops and custom cabinets in the kitchen
but it's not seven acres and there's no pool
Adam and Lily pick the Eason house (working theory no
2: the Stringfellow house only touched the bottom floor
They get more bang for their buck with the house they chose).
and Ben and construction manager Jonathan pop off some particle board and carry it out
The kitchen island is the same thing — it was just sitting there
It's at this point that I start to worry that Big Ben Napier is going to lean against a wall and the whole dang house is going to cave in
The adventures of Ben NapierErin's pregnancy has basically been a recurring subplot to this season — it's there, it's sometimes spoken of but it's never a focal point. This episode is an exception as we near the end of the season, which in real life was very close to the time Helen was about to come.
we get to see Ben put all his heart and craft into making a crib for his first child
but it was unique watching him pour himself into this project and all the safety considerations he had to think about
but also the Napier family crib that'll be passed down and down
who often in the first season talked about her shyness on camera
break down as Ben showed her what he had done ..
Adam and Lily happened to mention that on seven acres they'd probably need to get some chickens
So Ben forces their hand by building them a chicken coop
which is basically him and Josh giggling their way throughout
The revealIt's striking just how different this house looks
What was once an old country home is now a beautiful farmhouse
Adam and Lily seem blown away when they go inside and see what's been done
and also the level of detail — they used luxury vinyl flooring to mimic oak flooring because with kids and a pool
they're going to need something easy to clean
and while it's not a huge kitchen it seems bigger because of the open floor plan
Probably the paint color they used in the master bath

A White Rock dad who spoke out last month about concerns with the province’s back-to-school plan is now one of two fathers taking the government to court over the matter
READ MORE: Not enough science to back return-to-school plan, says White Rock dad
Supreme Court claim was filed on behalf of himself and Gary Shuster in Chilliwack that morning – and that the legal action shouldn’t come as a surprise to the leaders of B.C.’s health and education ministries
“They must’ve known this was going to happen,” Trest told Peace Arch News
“There’s no way you can introduce a plan this ridiculous and this dangerous and not know that someone is going to file a lawsuit against you and try to stop it.”
Ministry of Education officials on July 29 announced B.C.’s plan for a return to school in September
noting much of the plan will be up to individual school districts
schools are to open with cohorts of up to 120 at the secondary level and 60 for elementary students
Face masks will be required for students and staff in middle and high school while in high-traffic areas
but will be optional for elementary students
the model put forward includes cohorts Supt
Jordan Tinney has described as “much smaller.”
READ MORE: Surrey high school cohorts to be ‘much smaller,’ Tinney says
According to Trest and Shuster’s notice of application
reopening without stronger risk-mitigation measures – including smaller class sizes
mandatory masking and physical distancing within groups – to protect students and teachers against COVID-19 is “unconscionable,” and they want the court to block the step from proceeding until such measures are in place
“School boards don’t know how to handle this plan,” Trest said
Trest – who started a Facebook page with his 10-year-old son Max last month to rally others with similar concerns – told PAN at that time that the science around COVID-19 does not back the return-to-school plan
he said that data released in the past month has only strengthened that position
“Since we’ve spoken… there’s much more evidence
they’re refusing to acknowledge it,” Trest said
“There’s not a single one individual that’s said this plan is a good idea
Even (Prime Minister) Justin Trudeau… he’s questioning whether he’s going to send his kids to school.”
have filed affidavits in support of the court application
Attorney Kailin Che of Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae cited Trest’s “widely shared” concerns for his son and the community in explaining why her firm took on the case
“Everyone in BC has an interest in seeing the province safe and healthy,” Che told PAN by email
“We cannot reopen the economy and schools with insufficient measures in place
The old adage better safe than sorry rings more true during these exceptional times more than ever
It costs very little for the government to take the recommended precautions to keep schools safe.”
She noted that Early Sullivan Wright Gizer & McRae is also representing a B.C
doctor in a case filed a few weeks prior “dealing with similar concerns but on a broader level (not exclusive to schools).”
Trudeau announced a $2 billion ‘Safe Return to Class’ fund
“to help keep students and teachers safe as schools reopen.”
READ MORE: Feds roll out $2 billion to fund return-to-school safety amid pandemic
He described it as flexible funding that can be used for anything from hand sanitizer to remote-learning options
but exactly how it may be applied in individual districts – or how much
“What (the provinces) choose to do is up to them… but we know there is more to do,” Trudeau said
Health ministry officials were not immediately able to respond to a request for comment; Education Minister Rob Fleming
during a media briefing Wednesday afternoon
A further statement from the education ministry notes the province has not yet been served with the lawsuit
“so cannot comment on the specific concerns it raises
and does not comment on matters that are before the courts.”
“We continue to be guided by the health and safety advice of Dr
Bonnie Henry and her public health team,” the statement adds

A self-described “poz vampire” who set out to deliberately infect his sexual partners — including two teen boys — with HIV has had his convictions for attempted murder quashed and a new trial ordered by the Court of Appeal for Ontario

Steven Boone was convicted in October 2012 of three counts of attempted murder and three courts of aggravated sexual assault of four victims for having unprotected sex with the men
A jury also convicted him of two counts of administering a noxious thing — his sperm — and one count of attempting to administer a noxious thing
The jury acquitted him of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of another two men

the appeal court ruled that the 2012 trial judge erred in her instruction to the jury when she failed to spell out that in order to convict Boone of attempting to murder his partners that he had to believe that death was a certainty after they contracted the virus
Boone learned he was HIV positive in 2009 when he was 28 years old
Boone had been in a serious relationship with the person from whom he contracted the virus
Boone did disclose his status to friends but after learning he was HIV positive
he continued to have unprotected sex with men he met on dating websites
Evidence at trial showed that Boone was immersed in the “bug-chasing culture,” he boasted about infecting other men with HIV
and he spoke openly in text about his high viral load and how he resisted taking antiretroviral drugs specifically because the medicine would make it harder to infect his sexual partners
Chat and text conversations showed that he lied to his partners about his status so they would have sex with him and that he described misusing and manipulating condoms
to trick partners into believing intercourse was protected
“I love turning dudes poz,” he wrote online “Feels intense knowing I’m marking them for life with my DNA … I want a neg boy to turn poz so he’s mine.”
Boone’s defence maintained that any online discussions were simply fantasy and role-playing
argued to the jury that Boone was just being honest about what he wanted and what he intended to do
In order for the offence of attempted murder to be made out
the jury had to be satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that Boone had unprotected anal sex with the complainants and ejaculated inside the men
But the jury also had to be satisfied that he had the intention to kill his partners
“The Crown had to prove either that (Boone’s) purpose was to kill his partners
or that he believed that eventual death from AIDS was a virtual certainty,” the appeal court wrote
While there was strong evidence that he wanted to infect his partners and evidence that Boone knew that HIV could lead to AIDS and thereby if it was left untreated there was also evidence that Boone thought that even if his partners got HIV that they wouldn’t necessarily die from AIDS
“It was essential that the jury be told that it could convict the appellant on the attempted murder charges only if satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that the appellant acted with the purpose of killing each of the complainants
or that he believed their death at some point in the future from AIDS was a virtually certain consequence of HIV infection.”
The trial judge did not give instructions that made that clear to the jury
While the attempted murder convictions have been quashed
the appeal court has ordered a new trial if prosecutors wish to proceed retrying the charges
just more than nine years minus time he already served
imposed on Boone was a global sentence that took into account his the multiple convictions
The appeal court has invited submissions on sentencing for the aggravated sexual assault charges

Soud uznal muže vinného z přečinů šíření pornografie, zneužití dítěte k výrobě pornografie, navazování nedovolených kontaktů s dítětem a ohrožování výchovy dítěte, vše ve stadiu pokusu.
Hazucha chtěl, aby mu poslala své obnažené fotografie, přičemž on jí opakovaně zaslal fotografii svého obnaženého ztopořeného penisu.
Hazucha svou vinu uznal.
Film režisérů Víta Klusáka a Barbory Chalupové měl premiéru v únoru 2020.
The Financial Express
An Indian entrepreneur, Kunal Dixit, has launched the Android application of a new currency ecosystem based on a new decentralised cryptocurrency called ‘Trest’
Trest will be traded over a decentralised peer-to-peer network called Trestor network (T-Net)
It already has over 220 retail partners on board along with a presence in 51 countries
the price of 1 Trest would be equivalent to 1 US cent so one can buy about 160 Trest with a 100 Rupee note
The price would then change depending upon relative demand and supply
said adding users won’t need a licence to trade Trest but will have to be part of the T-net
Hence to get trests an user has to download the app to manage the currency
who at 30 runs a bioinformatics company QualCount in Ottawa
at Trestor Foundation has 12 Indians and one Iranian
Trestor’s India office will target local businesses in metro
Tier-I and Tier-II cities.”Our aim is to bring on board shops that sell daily-use goods and by doing that we will spread the network faster,” Dixit said
“We chose India as people here would give us a try.Plus this product is for the post-google era generation (youngsters)
we want to give them an experience wherein they don’t have to go to banks,” he added
In the absence of any specific laws that ban crypto currencies
Dixit said that Trests will be far less volatile than Bitcoins
wherein any big buyer or seller come to the fore
by participation in market making activity would help prevent a sharp decline or increase in the price of Trest
Price stability is very healthy for the ecosystem” Dixit said. While the advantages of Trest may seem manifold
the foundation does not guarantee a return of donation
then we would essentially become a deposit taking institution
we do not have the permission or banking license to accept deposits
It is perfectly rational (and legal) for you to find another donor and exchange Trest for money with that donor,” Dixit said
peer-to-peer network and T-Net transactions are irreversible
It uses an advanced form of the same underlying cryptography as Bitcoin and T-Net nodes can be run by anyone but T-Net transactions are fully confirmed in seconds whereas Bitcoin takes 10 mins.”
“T-Net allows usernames for accounts while Bitcoin has long alphanumeric addresses which are impossible to memorise,” he added
T-Net solves the double spending problem with voting consensus instead of proof-of-work which is used by Bitcoin
Consensus is the process by which the entire network agrees on the same Ledger
the donations will meet operating expenses
no angel investor or venture capital has invested in the firm
predicts that India’s media and entertainment sector will grow to $100 billion in a decade
driven by the fusion of storytelling and digital technology
He also highlights the sector’s potential to generate jobs and boost entrepreneurship
and praises India’s rich storytelling tradition.
