After a day spent filming material for a documentary Pearce was supposedly producing, the pair went out to a Koreatown nightclub, then an East L.A. warehouse rave, where Ansbach said they met two young women — Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales Arzola. The two women later died from drug overdoses, with Pearce now standing trial, charged with murder in their deaths, along with several rapes prosecutors say he committed between 2007 and 2021. Ansbach testified Friday that Pearce was generously doling out coke to the women, and that the group eventually made their way back to Pearce’s Olympic Boulevard apartment. At some point, Ansbach testified, Pearce served him a vodka drink that tasted “awful” and made him feel “immediately dizzy.” Then, he said, Pearce brought out a batch of coke he deemed “the good stuff,” according to Ansbach. He said he joined Giles and Arzola in trying the new supply, but in an instant, his nostrils were burning and he was in serious pain. California While wildfires displaced dozens of judges county officials kept the nation’s largest nonfederal court system open Some say it led to health risks and put defendants in jeopardy Ansbach said he asked Pearce what he just snorted Pearce began laughing and looked like “the devil personified right in front of me.” Ansbach said he lost count of how many times he vomited He noticed neither woman was moving and that Giles “didn’t appear to be alive.” Ansbach says he pleaded with Pearce to take the women to the hospital but was brushed off “It’s a phrase that echoes in my nightmares and disturbs me.” with his defense arguing that there’s no evidence he supplied the drugs that caused the women to die Originally arrested in connection with the killings of both women — who were dumped outside hospitals that night in November 2021 — Ansbach has since become a critical prosecution witness the only person to survive after ingesting the drugs prosecutors say killed Giles and Arzola Pearce faces two counts of murder in the deaths of the women and seven counts of rape Prosecutors previously declined to pursue sexual assault charges against Pearce in 2014 but after news of Giles’ and Arzola’s deaths drew headlines several women came forward with accusations that dated back to 2005 Prosecutors said during opening arguments last week that Pearce represented himself as a well-connected Hollywood player to lure women back to his apartment. In some cases, the women alleged they fell ill or felt “paralyzed” after Pearce served them drinks, and woke up to him sexually assaulting them. Brandt Osborn, who was Pearce’s roommate at the apartment where Giles and Arzola suffered the overdoses, is also on trial for two counts of being an accessory after the fact to the women’s deaths. Prosecutors said Osborn helped Pearce transport the dying women and destroy evidence at the residence. Ansbach said he lost track of time as he got sicker in the apartment, but insisted that he urged Pearce to take the women to a hospital. “I felt incredibly weak … like it was taking over me … it was like a tranquilizer,” Ansbach said of his reaction to the drink Pearce served him. A toxicology screen found gamma-hydroxybutyrate — the date rape drug commonly referred to as GHB — in Giles’ system. After checking Giles’ pulse — Ansbach said he couldn’t feel anything — he became concerned that Pearce wasn’t going to do anything to help the women. Attorneys working to appeal Danny Masterson’s rape conviction approached jurors at their homes and workplaces despite a judge’s order meant to limit information about their identities, according to recent court filings. Ansbach said Pearce was “really only concerned about himself,” and mentioned his fear of prison time due to a past criminal record. “I’ve had priors, this can’t happen to me,” Pearce said, according to Ansbach. Court records show the women were eventually taken to medical facilities nearly 12 hours later, driven in a car without license plates, which Ansbach said he saw Pearce remove. Pearce and Osborn have denied all wrongdoing, and their attorneys were quick to point out Ansbach’s description of events inside the apartment changed significantly after his arrest in December 2021. Prosecutors did not offer Ansbach immunity in exchange for his testimony. Months after his arrest alongside Pearce and Osborn, he provided a statement through an attorney implicating the other men. Ansbach was never charged with a crime, and it was not immediately clear if the LAPD ever presented a case against him. The district attorney’s office has not responded to inquiries about the case, including a request for public records that layout the reasoning as to why any charges might have been declined. On cross-examination, Ansbach admitted that during his first interview with Los Angeles police he said he never saw the women do drugs, nor did he paint a portrait of Pearce anywhere close to the way he described him on Friday. Ansbach said he didn’t have a lawyer at the time and was rattled after being taken in by what he described as a “SWAT team.” “I was scared,” Ansbach said. “I’d never been in that situation before, and I had no idea what to do.” “So you lied?” defense attorney Jeff Voll asked. the Buccaneers The duo combined for 28 points – 22 in the first half Once the Cougars pushed the advantage to more than 30 points in the third quarter Both Agudzi-Addo and Lange said their chemistry has been apparent since last season and their connection on the court has strengthened this year their coach described them as still developing “We’ve heard from a lot of people in the stands or officials that have said as soon as these bigs realize how big they are they might be dangerous weapons,” Daniels said “They’re kind of starting to figure out that they can handle themselves down got an 18-rebound performance from Alesia Delinois He also pointed to little things that show his young inexperienced squad is picking up the sport “We were able to do things especially in the first half that we haven’t done all year,” Schoonover said … I thought our half-court defense was really good.” Opponents must pick their poison against Baumholder Anyone of four or five guys can go off on any given night The newest player to join the rotation is Artez Williams The sophomore guard got hot from distance throughout the 60-21 win over Ansbach on Friday evening Williams shot 7 of 8 on three-pointers en route to a game-high 24 points “Tonight’s performance was really special from him,” Baumholder coach Dewayne Piggé said “Understanding how to play fundamentally sound ball it’s allowing him opportunities to get those shots that he probably wasn’t getting before.” Williams didn’t connect from just one spot He even showed extra range with a three from a few feet beyond the (Kirkland) and Greg they found me a lot around the three-point line.” Two of them came against Division I-foe SHAPE but they dropped two close games against title rival Hohenfels on Jan Piggé said his team was missing a starter against the Tigers but with the entire lineup available Friday Makubuya and Kirkland reached double figures with 12 and 11 points while Makubuya had a double-double with 10 action Ansbach’s boys warmed up with a 6-0 morning thrashing of Hohenfels co-ed team behind a hat-trick from star captain Daymien Abitua and a brace from Orlando Roman Kylie McVey netted a goal and an assist and defended all over the field to preserve a 3-1 victory for the visiting Spangdahlem girls The Ansbach boys put up a solid effort but ultimately fell short 2-0 to the Spangdahlem boys in their second game of the day as the dynamic duo of slick dribbling Troy Truscott and pacey Malachi Taherimorovat proved too formidable with a goal each for the Sentinels Ansbach enforcer Nathan Arreguin was solid on defense in the losing effort “I’m really proud of the guys,” Ansbach coach Tracey Robertson said after the Hohenfels match “This team is just full of great leaders and character and heart.” It only took one minute and 25 seconds for the speedy Abitua to carve through the Hohenfels defense and find the back of the net The gutsy Hohenfels squad settled down and withstood multiple barrages before he did it again at 25 minutes Abitua would net his third goal five minutes into the second half one over the top of the keeper from the left-hand side of the 6-yard-box in the 34th minute and a screamer into the upper right-hand corner past a fully-extended keeper in the 50th minute Lucas Hendrixson added a cheeky goal with the outside of his boot in the 39th minute “Our bench really stepped up today; I’m very proud of them,” Abitua said after the final whistle “Everybody performed the way they were supposed to and we won the game; that’s all that matters” The Cougars are hoping to avenge back-to-back runners-up campaigns by claiming the European crown in late May Ansbach and Spangdahlem faced off and were pretty evenly matched from the outset The defense of both teams was stifling and the game was nil-nil at the half Spangdahlem opened the game up in the second half behind the quality of Truscott and Taherimorovat Taherimorovat began the scoring 10 minutes into the second half with a physical run into the 18-yard-box He beat Ansbach keeper Jack Lovallo – 16 saves on the day Truscott netted a 20-yarder from the left-hand side shortly before the end of regulation Lovallo got his fingertips on it but couldn’t stop the forward momentum from carrying the ball over his head Spangdahlem coach Javier Graham said he was “ecstatic” and proud of the team after the victory said stalwart defending and holding Ansbach scoreless in the first half gave the Sentinels the confidence to press for the win “We have not won against [Ansbach],” he said “This is the best feeling we’ve had since beating Brussels at Euros last year.” Abitua was carried off the field following an injury in the second half which could be a problem for an already-depleted Cougars team going forward The Spangdahlem girls faced an uphill battle in the second game going up against Ansbach star keeper Kennedy Lange The Sentinels looked sluggish out the gate but rallied behind chatter from Alexis Lauer who knocked in a rebound off Lange in the 26th minute following an expertly placed corner from McVey Ansbach missed several sitters in front of goal in the first half it surely regretted Lange was solid between the pipes and kept the Cougars in the game with a right-footed blast off a pass from Lauer that seemed to shift the momentum to the Sentinels Spangdahlem’s emboldened defense stifled Ansbach’s forwards until Oli Cormier slotted one from outside the box in the 31st minute Spangdahlem’s Rebecca Tremel put the game away with a goal 6 minutes later Spangdahlem coach Josia Onyango said it took a little time for the team to gel and grow into the game “The key was communication and making sure we pass the ball look for our passes,” McVey said after the victory “We all had a lot of confidence and were trusting in our teammates.” The embroidered crest of the Pureblood Knights has now all but faded away Ansbach understood that keeping his oath to number three The gestures signified a three-peat that the Cougars just had sealed with a 25-11 25-18 victory in the Division III title game at the DODEA European championships on Saturday morning over Brussels It also could denote their complete dominion over Division III Saturday’s dominance reflected just how much the Cougars have controlled the small-school division Ansbach hasn’t lost a match to Division III opposition over the three campaigns That’s something coach Deborah Keller-Mitchell didn’t expect when she took over the program three years ago we haven’t lost to another Division III school “They’ve taken a set from us here and there I give all the credit to them because they put in the work.” It helps when you have junior Kennedy Lange who was named the tournament’s MVP after another run in which the Cougars dropped just a single set – to Alconbury in their opener The middle hitter has been a menace from Day 1 three years ago Keller-Mitchell described Lange as a generational talent and she showcased said skills Saturday with 11 kills Many times she spiked with such authority even if a Brigand managed to get her hands on it the ball likely went flying well out of play The 2023 Stars and Stripes girls volleyball Athlete of the Year said this year’s team was different than the past two She pointed to young players such as freshmen Bailey Eickmeyer and Brighton Powell who grew as the season progressed Those two made their marks against Brussels while Powell produced four – including the match-sealing spike “Watching these young players grow into what they’ve become today has been such a blessing,” Lange said it was questionable but watching how all of them have improved is so wonderful.” The Cougars pounced on the Brigands from the start Ansbach jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first set and trailed just once the entire match at 1-0 in the second set credited the team’s serving for that performance Lange paced Ansbach with five aces herself “The most important skills in volleyball are serving and passing and serving is the one thing you can control yourself,” Ritter said Brussels coach Courtney Slack was left with more questions than answers following what she described as the team’s worst game of the season She said her team never bounced back from the slow start Junior outside hitter Kathleen Rullan had four kills and three aces and senior Nora Gibbons had four kills for Brussels After losing two title games in a row to Ansbach Slack said she wonders constantly wonders how the Brigands can take the next step and dethrone the Cougars “It’s really difficult to go back up against a team that beat you the prior year and not have it get in your heads,” Slack said “Kennedy is absolutely amazing and having her at the net is really intimidating I feel like our big hitters didn’t want to swing.” It’s too early to think about an Ansbach four-peat especially after the Cougars must wait for PCS season to see whom they will lose outside of Ritter One of the biggest subtractions will come at the bench Keller-Mitchell said she will be leaving the school in February but with the numerous underclassmen contributing and the excitement at the youth level “The foundation has been laid,” Keller-Mitchell said “There are so many kids that want to play volleyball For details on how to start and complete Ansbach's Questline up Essentially, this holds the information that both Ansbach and Freyja seek in regard to the fates of their lords, Radahn and Mohg Note: Make sure you speak to Freyja and report her presence in the keep to Ansbach before giving him the Secret Rite Scroll as he will disappear from the area shortly afterwards The Secret Rite Scroll can be found on the 4th floor of the Specimen Storehouse by following these steps: Miquella has stolen Mohg's body and plans to use it to resurrect Radahn Ansbach is understandably upset about the misuse of his former master's body and tells you to pass on a letter to Freyja to make her aware of the situation It transpires that Leda is set on getting rid of Ansbach fearing that he will strike against Miquella Return to Ansbach's room in the Specimen Storehouse and you'll see a red and gold summon sign where he once was You can choose to help either Ansbach or Leda but both choices will have consequences Leda will die (for now) and you'll recieve the following: so may not be much of an incentive unless you're looking to delve into new game plus Leda will turn on you no matter what choices you make Now you've chosen between Ansbach and Leda there's nothing more to do in this questline other than progress to the final region This means you need to defeat Messmer at the Shadow Keep and use his fire on the Sealing Tree beyond the Church of the Bud (in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh) most of the NPCs will disappear off the map and you'll be instantly transported into Enir-Ilim make your way through the region until you get to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom This is where Leda will appear and summon her allies but you should have at least one summon available to help (this will be Ansbach if you sided with him in the above choice) Defeat Leda and her gang and get prepared to face the last boss of the DLC if Ansbach was summoned he'll be waiting for you at the foot of the Divine Gate stairs Ansbach will express that he knows it was the Tarnished that killed Mohg but does not hold it against them as it was a fair fight He will also go one further and offer his assistance against the last boss you'll be able to loot the arena afterwards for his armor and the Furious Blade of Ansbach Incantation you can get Thiollier's gear and Thiollier's Hidden Needle after the fight The following quest rewards are what you can expect to gain from Ansbach's questline providing you make the stipulated choices: No part of this website or its content may be reproduced without the copyright owner's permission Rock Paper Shotgun is a registered trademark of Gamer Network Limited A step-by-step guide on how to get through Ansbach's sidequest while you'd think there might be bad blood between you and Ansbach he can potentially be one of your greatest allies in Elden Ring's DLC if you follow and complete his sidequest we'll tell you exactly how to complete Ansbach's questline in Shadow of the Erdtree and when to give him important items so you don't end his questline prematurely Ansbach is found at the Site of Grace 'Main Gate Cross' in Gravesite Plain, just before you arrive at Belurat, Tower Settlement Here is his precise location on the map below: If you talk with Ansbach here, he'll reveal a little bit about himself - that his fighting days are far behind him, and that he's now dedicated to investigating Miquella's ultimate purpose in coming to the Shadow Realm. Unsurprisingly, he's very interested in the Miquella's Cross locations you'll find throughout your travels he'll ask you to report back on other Crosses you find Whereas Hornsent's Cross Map only has three locations shown Ansbach reveals that at least six Crosses have been discovered so far At this point, Ansbach doesn't have much more to say, so feel free to leave - or talk to the merchant Moore who can also be found at this Site of Grace You can return to visit Ansbach to receive additional dialogue from him after interacting with the following Miquella's Crosses: These aren't necessary steps in Ansbach's sidequest, but he'll tell you how grateful he is that you've joined him in his investigation. He'll share additional lore and backstory about Miquella after each interaction, and eventually reveal that Miquella is heading for the Tower of Shadow (not to be confused with the Shadow Keep) The next major plot point in Ansbach's questline comes after you receive the message "Somewhere a great rune has broken..." either as you approach the Shadow Keep or enter Rauh Base for the first time This is an important moment for all Shadow of the Erdtree's NPCs and you should visit them all and talk to them again before going any further with the story Return to Ansbach at Main Gate Cross and he'll reveal that since Miquella has "discarded his Great Rune the fog that vexed my aging faculties has been lifted" and he's now haunted by his past memories - particularly by the time he challenged Miquella as he tried to defend Lord Mohg the incident revealed just how weak Ansbach was and he concludes that "Miquella the Kind.. is a monster" in the way he "wields love to shrive clean the hearts of men" and he'll tell you that Miquella now makes his "blood run cold" and his greatest wish is to simply run away You'll find Ansbach again inside the Shadow Keep's Specimen Storehouse on the First Floor This part of the Storehouse can be accessed via the main front entrance You can also reach it via the Shadow Keep's Church District and dropping down to the lower level of the Storehouse from the Site of Grace 'Storehouse head left round the large animal statue in front of you following the path through the bookshelves and up the stairs to the north and you'll see a room with an arched doorway and he'll reveal how he was hoping to make a fresh start after bearing his soul to you and he'll tell you it's related to Lord Mohg - after Mohg was slain (by you) his body was removed from Mohgwyn Palace and taken straight to Miquella there are two things you'll need to do next: To reach these upper levels of the Shadow Keep Storehouse, you'll need to enter the east side of the Shadow Keep and go through its Church District arriving at the Storehouse via its Back Section exit This is the only way to reach the upper floors This is located between the Site of Graces 'Storehouse in a room only accessible from outside the main tower depending on which Site of Grace you're approaching it from (as you may not have found the Fourth Floor Site of Grace yet Approaching from the Site of Grace 'Storehouse Seventh Floor': Go down two floors to the fifth floor (which you can identify by the large table with an animal skeleton on it as soon as you reach the bottom of the stairs): Follow the floor round to the east side of the tower and take out the Fire Knight patrolling the hallways You'll likely be attacked by two giant bats as soon as you step outside so deal with them and carry on round to the right (heading south-west) killing the three mage shades on your left You'll find the Secret Rite Scroll on a table behind the farthest bookshelf Approaching from the Site of Grace 'Storehouse following the staircase up to the area with the flaming boats and Fire Knight Before you head back inside the Storehouse The Secret Rite Scroll is located behind the farthest bookshelf on your right it says one can learn about the secret rite of the divine gateway with it - which refers to the Tower of Shadow Ansbach mentioned earlier you can choose whether or not to give the Secret Rite Scroll to Ansbach which has important consequences for his overall questline NB: If you also want to complete Freyja's questline you must find and speak to Freyja before giving Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll - otherwise he may not be around for you to inform him of Freyja's decision he won't be able to give you the letter he's written for her Once you've given Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll he will move on to his final location either when: NB: It's still possible for Ansbach's questline to end prematurely within the Shadow Keep depending on further choices you make . If you summon Hornsent in the fight against Messmer Needle Knight Leda will begin to target Ansbach If Ansbach hasn't moved on when this happens you'll get the option to fight either Leda or Ansbach and you'll find summoning stones for both NPCs in Ansbach's room in the first floor of the Storehouse You'll get slightly different rewards if you pick this option (Ansbach's Longbow and Leda's Rune) but you'll get better rewards if you side with Ansbach (Ansbach's Longbow and you'll still be able to continue Ansbach's questline as if nothing had happened If you gave Ansbach the Secret Rite Scroll and either sided with him against Leda or skipped the optional Shadow Keep fight altogether you'll be able to summon Ansbach as an ally in Enir-Ilim when you fight against Needle Knight Leda and her companions This fight occurs just before the final boss battle against Radahn, Consort of Miquella and Ansbach is one of the few NPCs who will come to your aid here which is why it's so worthwhile completing his sidequest you'll be able to speak to him again at the top of the lift leading up to the final boss arena he'll realise that it was you who killed Mohg You both fought an honourable duel (in his eyes and will he continue to support you in your fight against Miquella After speaking to Ansbach at the top of the lift you're now ready to face the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree you can summon Ansbach in battle to fight alongside you and he will finally be able to exact his revenge you'll find Ansbach's corpse lying to the side of the battle arena Interact with his body to claim the following items: This brings Ansbach's questline to a close - and congratulations on beating Shadow of the Erdtree © 2025 Eurogamer.net a brand of IGN Entertainment, Inc. Eurogamer is a registered trademark of Gamer Network Limited. by Ryan Gilliam he’ll be with you through the entire expansion In this Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree guide I’ll walk you through how to complete Sir Ansbach’s quest in the Shadow Realm of the Lands Between Here’s a list of all the steps you need to go through in order to complete Sir Ansbach’s quest: What follows is a breakdown of all the above Sir Ansbach is pretty tough to miss, as he’s standing by the giant Miquella Cross outside of Belurat the first major dungeon you’re likely to encounter in Shadow of the Erdtree As you’re riding up to the castle gates, keep left and look for a little bluff. Here you can formally meet Sir Ansbach — former servant to Lord Mohg — and Moore, the shopkeep at the Main Gate Cross Site of Grace Talk to Ansbach to learn a bit more about him and his interests He’ll tell you he’s researching Miquella’s Crosses and ask you to visit them and report back any secret ones you find This is an optional part of Sir Ansbach’s quest, and plays a bit into the quest of another NPC, Hornsent During the first half of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Hornsent will give you a map showing you the locations of a few hidden Miquella Crosses and then speak to Sir Ansbach to get some additional lore Whether you get the extra lore or not, once you’ve introduced yourself to Sir Ansbach you can progress through the main story until the great rune breaks outside of Shadow Keep When you get close to the Shadow Keep dungeon in Scadu Altus, you’ll get a notification that the great rune has broken This is supposed to happen — you didn’t do anything wrong — and will progress all the various NPC quests throughout the world Return to Ansbach and talk to him until he starts repeating himself You’ll bump into Sir Ansbach again in Shadow Keep on the first floor of the Specimen Storehouse area and then hang right past the first bookshelf You’ll find him reading in the corner of a small room Exhaust his dialogue once again before continuing your journey through the storehouse you’ll first need to find the Secret Rite Scroll you’re already in the right spot to locate it: the Shadow Keep Specimen Storehouse turn left and follow the path past the burning boats and enemies Take these stairs and take out the enemies on the landing below Go inside the nearby doorway to find a small research library Interact with it to get the Secret Rite Scroll head back to Sir Ansbach on the first floor Give Sir Ansbach the scroll and he’ll learn that Lord Mohg’s body has been stolen and Miquella has plans for it Exhaust Ansbach’s dialogue before you continue to the next step Now it’s time to help Redmane Freyja After the great rune breaks, you can talk to Freyja at the Three-Path Cross Site of Grace back in Gravesite Plain to send her to Shadow Keep You’ll meet Freyja on the seventh floor of the Specimen Storehouse She’ll be ducked down by the fireplace looking through some objects and loudly grumbling to herself she’ll tell you she’s busy and then complain about not talking to Ansbach when she had the chance Travel down to the first floor again and tell Ansbach about Freyja’s frustrations Exhaust his dialogue and then go rest again Return to Ansbach and he’ll hand you a letter meant for Freyja If he doesn’t give you the letter after you rest talk to Freyja again before talking to Ansbach Bring the letter to Freyja to progress her quest then talk to her until you exhaust her dialogue She’ll give you the Golden Lion Shield for your trouble You should then return to Ansbach to tell him about Freyja’s reaction to his letter Once you’ve done all of Ansbach’s quests in Shadow Keep, go visit Leda at the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, outside Castle Ensis Speak to her a few times and she’ll eventually reveal that it’s time to hunt down our buddy Ansbach so head back to Ansbach’s hideaway in Shadow Keep you’ll find a red summon marker and a gold summon marker If you want to see the end of Ansbach’s quest move past the red summon maker and interact with the gold one — “assist Sir Ansbach.” This will teleport you to an arena inside the Specimen Storehouse but you’ll receive Ansbach’s Longbow and Leda’s Rune (worth 40,000 Runes) you’ve completed most of the missable steps in the Ansbach quest Now you just need to progress the story to the end (our Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree walkthrough can help with the critical path) where you’ll meet up with many of the game’s NPCs — including Ansbach — before Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss You'll meet several supporting characters in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and some are in search of Miquella the Empyrean. Due to their own motivations and the beings that they follow, there will be conflicts along the way. Here's our guide on how to complete the Leda, Ansbach, and Freyja quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Likewise, please be reminded that this article contains spoilers. The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Ansbach, Freyja, and Leda quests are all intertwined. In a particular instance, there's even a decision that you need to make regarding the Hornsent. Our guide discusses all the steps in detail, as well as some nasty issues that can occur which might cause the quest to fail abruptly. and Ansbach in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Progress normally through the DLC campaign until you arrive at the Highroad Cross Site of Grace (which is where you'll meet Leda and Hornsent once more) saying that Miquella's Seal has been broken This is totally fine and it simply denotes that you're ready to progress the quests of various NPCs proceed to Shadow Keep until you arrive at the Specimen Storehouse facility go to the back and enter the small library Chat with him and exhaust all his dialogue Continue ascending the Specimen Storehouse facility until you reach the Storehouse - Fourth Floor Site of Grace Check the balcony at the back and you should see stone steps that lead back down If you go to the edge of the platform overlooking the interior of the building Important: Do not give the Secret Rite Scroll immediately to Ansbach Leave the small library where you found the Secret Rite Scroll and keep going left along the ramparts Keep ascending the steps and you'll hear someone talking You'll then encounter Freyja in a room which has the Storehouse - Seventh Floor Site of Grace I should have asked Ansbach to impart his knowledge when I had the chance." Here's what you have to do next to proceed with the Freyja and Ansbach quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree: Important: A bug might occur if you give the Secret Rite Scroll to Ansbach too early (i.e before chatting with Freyja on the seventh floor) he won't give you the letter and Freyja won't give you the shield The quest might also break due to these mishaps There's also another notable portion that can occur while you're undertaking the Ansbach and Freyja quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree if you go to Highroad Cross after breaking Miquella's Seal at the Shadow Keep entrance Leda will ask you about a potential traitor that she should eliminate During Hornsent's quest you have the option to assist either him or Leda as part of a duel: Ansbach won't be there the next time you return to his room in the Specimen Storehouse building Picking the gold sign will make you side with Ansbach but picking the red sign will make you side with Leda Helping Ansbach here nets you the Ansbach's Longbow weapon Note: If you helped Hornsent as part of his quest Ansbach won't be in his room later and you won't see summoning signs either you can still proceed with Ansbach's quest until the very end Much later in the campaign, you'll have to head to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. There, you'll get the option to burn the Sealing Tree. This is a point of no return, which causes some NPCs to disappear. It's imperative that you finish other quest chains, such as Thiollier's quest if you want to see the conclusion of these arcs Burning the Sealing Tree spawns you in Enir-Ilim Proceed normally all the way to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom The next encounter here pits you against Leda and her companions You can think of this battle as the conclusion to the Leda and Ansbach quest in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree you'll see Freyja's corpse kneeling on the ground including Freyja's Greatsword and her full armor set Note: For those who were unable to complete Freyja's arc in the DLC, you can still return to the Storehouse - Seventh Floor room after beating the final boss you'll see a glowing orb that nets you the same gear pieces only the Golden Lion Shield is missable among Freyja's items All that's left is to ascend to the top of the tower. There, you'll meet Ansbach, who can be summoned for the final boss encounter His help will be invaluable due to the boss' quick and devastating abilities check the corner of the arena to see Ansbach's corpse Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree takes you to the Realm of Shadow where you have to search for Miquella the Empyrean. vehicle registration appointment process after photos surfaced online of soldiers camping out overnight to ensure a coveted walk-in slot Army Garrison Ansbach on Wednesday relaunched its online appointment scheduler and revamped hours as it transitions to a hybrid system of walk-ins and appointments military in Germany continues to grapple with a problem that has upended commutes to work and in some cases left military families without a legally operable vehicle Ansbach has wrestled with its own problems The office switched to walk-in only in July after customers complained that the lead time to schedule an appointment was too great garrison spokeswoman Gerlinde Hoyle said in a statement But that led to complaints about restrictions on the number of walk-ins available per day “The corrected model of opening hours will better serve the various types of service for our customers,” Hoyle said time will be set aside to assist soldiers and their families going through permanent change of station moves The Ansbach office is authorized for only three staff members and there are no plans to assign soldiers to the office in the future Ansbach in previous years has asked service members to help with vehicle registration temporarily The changes were announced days after the “U.S moments” Facebook page posted photos of the soldiers on the ground in their sleeping bags While the photos could not be independently verified Hoyle said the service members were not encouraged to queue outside business hours The office will see in- and out-processing soldiers only from 8 a.m Other bases in the region have had varied success in recent months by adding staff and making tweaks Some customers who have used the substation have said that it was considerably quicker than Kapaun though the Ramstein location can’t handle some functions such as issuing temporary plates and initial registrations Officials at Tower Barracks in Grafenwoehr rolled out a proprietary online scheduling system July 1 that limited the number of appointments one person could make spokesman Andreas Kreuzer wrote in an emailed statement Thursday The base has cut their no-show rate from 60% to 5% a spokesman for the Army’s Installation Management Command - Europe said the issues at vehicle registration offices across Germany were isolated and not the norm “While vehicle registration requirements are greater in the summer months due to the PCS season most of our Army garrisons did not experience significant challenges with vehicle registration backlogs,” he wrote in a statement Wednesday Other services experienced similar issues in recent months Stars and Stripes reporter Lydia Gordon contributed to this report you'll find Ansbach on the first floor of the Specimen Storehouse  Find some Miquella Cross locations for this former servant of Mohg Here I'll explain how to finish the Ansbach quest as well as a breakdown of each individual step lower down Ansbach is a little like the Gideon Ofnir of Shadow of the Erdtree—a character who provides lore and context for a lot of what you're learning His quest also crosses over with Redmane Freyja and Lady Leda: You can find Sir Ansbach at the Main Gate Cross site of grace(Image credit: FromSoftware)He'll ask you to search for more secret Miquella Crosses(Image credit: FromSoftware)You'll first find Sir Ansbach at the Main Gate Cross site of grace just outside Belurat he'll request that you tell him about any secret Miquella Crosses you come across and will provide extra lore and dialogue if you do The first secret Miquella Cross is located in Belurat Tower Settlement(Image credit: FromSoftware)The second cross is located on the cliffs above the Fort of Reprimand(Image credit: FromSoftware)The third cross is located at the southern edge of the Southern Shore region(Image credit: FromSoftware)Report these cross locations to Ansbach and he'll give you some lore(Image credit: FromSoftware)As Ansbach mentions there are six Miquella Cross locations that the companions know about These are the ones marked on the Cross Map and New Cross Map that Hornsent gives you What Ansbach wants you to find are the three secret Miquella Cross locations you can access earlier in the game.  and he'll do his best to explain what's actually going on in the Land of Shadow Once you arrive in the Shadow Keep and get the message that the great rune has been shattered and a charm dispelled He'll talk about how he actually finds Miquella very scary You'll next find Ansbach near the Storehouse First Floor site of grace in the Specimen Storehouse part of the Shadow Keep If you follow the track from the main entrance and fight the Golden Hippopotamus boss you'll end up here Anbach is tucked in the right hand corner of this room enjoying a good book Speak to him and he'll explain that Lord Mohg's body disappeared after his death and he's trying to work out who yoinked it Find the Secret Rite Scroll near to the Storehouse Fourth Floor site of grace(Image credit: FromSoftware)Give Ansbach the Sacred Rite Scroll(Image credit: FromSoftware)You can also get the Letter to Freyja if you found her and told him about it(Image credit: FromSoftware)The information you need to find for Ansbach is the Sacred Rite Scroll which is located higher up in Specimen Storage You can take this back to Ansbach immediately if you wish but this is also a key point in Freyja's quest that you can potentially miss If you head up the stairs at the bottom of Specimen Storage and keep climbing all the way up lamenting that she didn't speak to Ansbach when she had a chance Head back to Ansbach to give him the Sacred Rite Scroll and tell him about Freyja's confusion He'll drop some pretty big lore and will give you a letter for Freyja that you can return to her for even more lore You'll find the summon signs in Ansbach's usual location in the Specimen Storehouse(Image credit: FromSoftware)Aid Ansbach to get his bow and keep him alive(Image credit: FromSoftware)If you helped Leda against the Hornsent during her quest this might happen if you didn't help her or the Horsent anyway so I'd make sure to check back at Ansbach's location after you complete the previous step You'll find two summon signs; one letting you help Leda which can be wielded like a light bow and has the fan shot skill.  You can summon Ansbach for an important fight in Enir-Ilim(Image credit: FromSoftware)Have a chat to Ansbach at the top of the lift before the final boss(Image credit: FromSoftware)You can also summon Ansbach for the final boss(Image credit: FromSoftware)If you complete all those previous steps the next time you meet Ansbach will be in Enir-Ilim near the end of the expansion where you can summon him to aid you during an important confrontation he'll have some unique dialogue during this fight you'll find him just beyond the elevator before the final boss where you can have a nice chat and mull over your time in the Land of Shadow You can also summon Ansbach for the final boss but either way you'll find his body nearby after the encounter where you can collect Ansbach's armor and his other gear to finish the quest Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals Sean MartinSenior Guides WriterSean's first PC games were Full Throttle and Total Annihilation and his taste has stayed much German engineers switched on a water treatment system at U.S Army Garrison Ansbach this week to begin the long-planned purge of toxic PFAS chemicals from groundwater exiting the base The purification unit is expected to pump and treat over 35,000 gallons per day from underneath a former firefighter training site near Katterbach Airfield before they are released into the base’s stormwater channels Aaron Southard said Tuesday during an opening ceremony where he pushed a symbolic red button “This facility represents more than just a solution to a problem; it is a symbol of our shared dedication to safeguarding public health and preserving our natural resources for future generations,” Southard said Southard was joined at the ceremony by Ansbach Lord Mayor Thomas Deffner or manmade per-and at U.S PFAS compounds accumulate in the body over time and have been linked to a slew of adverse health conditions from increased cholesterol to liver and immune system damage and Germany recently enacted strict standards regarding acceptable PFAS levels in drinking water; four parts per trillion and 20 nanograms per liter in Germany for certain chemicals by 2028 A 226,000 square-foot quite a bit." an opportunity to eat lunch with the soldiers on post and even the chance to participate in a training field exercise "We're saluting our servicemembers this weekend at the Broncos game so to come over and to actually see what they're doing is amazing," Hall said I got to participate in one of their practice exercises It just means the world to me to give back when they've given so much to us." The soldiers Hall interacted with at the Storck Barracks are part of the Regionally Aligned Forces (RAF) deployed military members who don't have their families on post Their role requires constant readiness to deploy along with grueling physical and mental training to strengthen leadership Hall's visit was meant as a brief departure from the daily grind associated with life at the barracks "When a former player like Dante takes the time to visit military members stationed overseas it provides a unique morale boost," said Tracy Leonard "Visits like this bridge the gap between military life and the comforts of home reminding service members that they are valued and remembered." the Chiefs' actions this past week – both at home and abroad – were meant to recognize those that protect our way of life on a regular basis It's something we celebrate as a nation every day but for both those stationed at the Storck Barracks and for Hall this past week was something they won't soon forget "They're always so appreciative of us going over and giving our time so I go back to show my appreciation for their service and what they provide for us," Hall said we all should give back if we have the ability to do it." Ride west past Rabbath's Rise and the Cathedral and you will arrive at the Church District Jump over the roofs in front of you to reach the main church then inside there's an elevator on the northern side which leads down into the Storehouse then drop down to the lower level using the bookcase on your left walk forward around the left-hand side of the Divine Beast statue down the stairs and past the skeleton display Here you find Ansbach searching the shelves of the Storehouse for the knowledge he seeks turn around from facing him and go back out up the stairs then immediately right and go up the stairs here Then go left and up the long staircase in front of you hopping up to the higher level using the table in front of you hop onto the suspended giant statue and walk along its back to reach a higher level where you see a Cross of Miquella and a Site of Grace go out through the door that leads outside Run past the Fire Knight and then go down the stone stairs on your left go back up the stone stairs and continue along that path go up two flights and you should see another Site of Grace in front of you This is the Seventh Floor Site of Grace where you find Freyja Without delving too much into spoilers or the specific morality of the characters you can consider helping Ansbach to be the “good” ending while Leda’s is the “bad” ending to this quest If you help Ansbach in his hour of need, then he will help you out as an ally later in the story. You won’t miss out and get the best rewards by doing this - but you will still need to complete the other NPC quests to collect everything VG247 is a registered trademark of Gamer Network Limited The the convent The musical number “Holier Than Thou” artfully brings the cast together with Sister Mary Hubert (Zoey Stubbs) at the helm The dynamic change into a high energy song and dance is an electric and exciting way to end the musical As we see the residents of the convent working together to accomplish their goal of earning money “Nunsense: The Mega Musical” shows the complexity of Ansbach Terrace Playhouse performance of “Annie” brings the story of this red-headed orphan alive “Annie” is the familiar story of a New York City orphan down on her luck who experiences life changing events that reveal a whole new side of the city and help her uncover a profound appreciation for family The show begins at an orphanage where we are introduced to Annie (Selah Choate) and her fellow orphans In “Hard Knock Life,” the anger is palpable as they sing about injustices they have been handed all of their lives It is a moment that shows off the cast’s dance talent with energy that continues into the entire show Orphanage director Miss Hanagan (Alyssa Brown) shows us why the orphans are so miserable and her spirited singing draws in the audience A standout cast of both youth and adults carries the excitement and conflict throughout the play and the cast brings out all of the feelings with vulnerable moments and complex characters who have much aggression The strife of the homeless population is on display and the cast seamlessly draws us into their attempt at normalcy in a dire situation as moments of comedy punctuate the dismal setting and feisty scenes with Miss Hannigan help us all find humor in otherwise sad lives The real treat is when the four-legged cast member takes the stage Having Ace play Sandy is an amazing and unique addition to the performance she is sent to stay with NYC billionaire Oliver Warbucks for the holidays Their time together leads them on an unexpected quest to find the meaning of family we get an electric glimpse into what the city has to offer in the beautifully performed song “N.Y.C.” New characters pop up with individual talents giving us a visual buffet of color and texture It is a side of New York City that Annie has never been able to enjoy but armed with the love and friendship of Oliver Warbucks (SPC Stephen Wykle) and Grace Farrell (Kelly Choate) The cast joyously presents this big turning point in the plot We finally see hope and joy and it is a stark contrast to the gloom and darkness of the earlier scenes Sets for this show help establish the difference between the worlds that Annie experiences bunkbeds create multiple levels and make the dance sequences even more dynamic is comforting and well-appointed and even draws in the audience with stair access Costumes are also used to define the class distinctions Miss Hannigan’s dresses seem like an extension of her personality city residents have exciting costumes to match their profession and house attendants are crisp and clean we are all taken on a journey to discover the true meaning of family We observe the hope that one girl brings to an entire community Through the Terrace Playhouse cast and crew we witness chaos 01:06 Progress or Skip 11:39 Summon Ansbach to the Big NPC Battle Here’s your guide to all possible ally and adversaries at Enir-Ilim in Shadow of the Erdtree as well as the rewards you'll get from defeating or helping each of them There are spoilers ahead for the quests of Miquella’s Followers which is during the late-game of Shadow of the Erdtree Miquella’s Followers are a ragtag bunch from all over the Lands of Shadow in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree And while they all have different motivations they share one thing in common: a love for Miquella and your actions as a Tarnished can impact who shows up later down the line While we have individual guides on Shadow of the Erdtree’s NPCs and their individual quests here we’re going to talk about all the crucial points you come across that can determine which of Miquella’s Followers you have as an ally or adversary at Enir-Ilim in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree At the very beginning of Shadow of the Erdtree your interactions with Miquella’s Followers - Ansbach It’s following the shattering of Miquella’s Rune, which happens in the eastern area of Scadu Altus (likely after you’ve explored Castle Ensis) When it comes to the later fight at Enir-Ilim, it seems that Needle Knight Leda and Dryleaf Dane will always be adversaries no matter what quest decisions you make and Hornsent have a few different fates though Anyways, let’s start with Redmane Freyja. After chatting with her before Belurat Tower Settlement, you'll later explore Shadow Keep’s Specimen Storehouse where you’ll find Ansbach on the First Floor and Freyja on the Seventh Floor If you speak to Ansbach and then to Freyja then to Ansbach again about Freyja’s problem Ansbach will give you a letter - Freyja’s Letter Next, the Hornsent. There’s not really much to do with this guy other than feed him Scorpion Stew you can actually choose to invade him with Leda (or vice versa) in Shadow Keep’s main plaza must be done before entering Messmer's arena Provided you do not kill Hornsent here (or ignore the invasions altogether) he can still appear at Enir-Ilim depending on what you do inside of Messmer's arena If you summon him for the fight and speak to him afterwards, but before resting, he'll later invade you in the walk up to Romina's arena in Ancient Ruins of Rauh This means he will not appear at Enir-Ilim If you instead do not kill Hornsent and/or ignore the invasions he will not invade you at Ancient Ruins of Rauh and will appear as an adversary at Enir-Ilim As for Sir Ansbach you should also seek out an item known as the Sacred Rite Scroll in the Specimen Storehouse After Leda’s events with the Hornsent she’ll now have her eyes set on Ansbach and you should be able to find summon signs for both Leda and Ansbach on the First Floor of the Specimen Storehouse Ansbach is one of few NPCs that doesn't appear to become an adversary at Enir-Ilim regardless of what decisions you make remains at the Storehouse (if you do not give him the Sacred Rite Scroll) Next, there’s the thing-collector that is Moore Following the shattering of Miquella’s Rune you can later find his corpse - and loot his gear - from just outside the Church of Crusade Last, but not least, is Thiollier which involves heading down to the Fissure at Cerulean Coast Once you complete Thiollier’s quest and exhaust his dialogue (this has to be done before burning the sealing tree) which sees him invading you and dropping the St he will be available as an ally to summon at Enir-Ilim It’s also important to note that Thiollier and Ansbach can both be available to summon as allies simultaneously And following the grand fight at Enir-Ilim you will also be available to summon them during the final boss fight You'll then be able to collect both of their remaining gear following the fight and complete Thiollier's quest before burning the sealing tree you should be able to have both of them fight alongside you against Moore That's provided you complete Moore and Freyja's minimal quest steps too - giving Freyja her letter and telling Moore to 'put it behind you' - will see you fight against them both Doing the opposite should see you fight just Leda and Dane Provided that you did not engage in any of Leda's invasions against the Hornsent or Ansbach or did the 'right' thing of helping Hornsent at Shadow Keep and helping Ansbach at Specimen Storehouse all of Miquella's Followers should be present during the battle at Enir-Ilim Do note that both Thiollier and Ansbach's gear cannot be looted until after the final boss Some of the above items cannot be collected in a single playthrough For more on Shadow of the Erdtree, check out our recommended boss order, the Hornsent Grandam's quest, and where to get your hands on more Scadutree Fragments Germany – Two-time DODEA-Europe Division III girls volleyball champion Ansbach hosted two small-school rivals Saturday in the three teams’ final matches before next week’s season-ending championships The Cougars didn’t show any signs they won’t be competing for a third title with a 25-5 the Buccaneers faced up against the reigning champs looking to improve on a loss to Ansbach the previous week “Our goal is consistency,” said Kennedy Lange an Ansbach junior and the reigning Stars and Stripes girls volleyball Athlete of the Year “In the past years we would have peaks and valleys Our goal is to stay constant throughout the whole game and I feel like we really started to show that.” and the second and third sets were more competitive “We’ve been working on ‘the play is not over until the whistle blows,’” said Bucs coach Jenny Rajkovacz “I’ve seen that improvement in a few of the plays today where in the past they would just stop because they thought it would be over.” “Two-year championship (winners are) definitely hard to beat,” Baumholder sophomore Olivia Lepkowski said “This year and this week we came back stronger than last week and last year.” And Lepkowski and her teammates did indeed bounce back in their second match of the day applying lessons learned from the previous match in the first set The Tigers did not take the set loss lightly matching the Bucs point for point in the second set the Tigers’ Makenzie Clark came through for her team with a slew of aces that gave the Tigers a leg up and ultimately a set victory Baumholder bounced back to win the last two sets “They have a very quick game that we’re not used to…so but we can compete,” Tigers senior Kariana Jones said of playing against Baumholder “It’s very scrappy,” Tigers senior Brynn Ropelewsi said of the Bucs’ playing style “It’s not the traditional pass-set-hit of volleyball here’s a random tip and I hope you can pass it.’” That left the final match of the day between the Tigers and Cougars “Hohenfels is always a rival game for us,” Ansbach coach Deb Keller-Mitchell said “They’re going to bring their best and we need to play our game.” bringing an electric energy that her teammates could only emulate as Ansbach was never really threatened in any of the three sets It’s exciting to see how they’ve improved throughout the season too,” Ritter said they finished the day with high hopes in anticipation of the championships next week “It’s easy when you’re losing to want to give up This is where you have your grit,’” Jones said “Even though the score kept being the same we always left a smile on our faces and just keep trying for the next set.” Germany – The Ansbach boys soccer team generally needs 10 or 15 minutes to rev up its engine it’s taken something stronger to get going That’s what happened in the Cougars’ semifinal match against Alconbury on Wednesday during the DODEA Division III European championships The Dragons put one past goalkeeper Jack Lovallo to take an early lead That proved to be the wake-up call Ansbach needed as the second seed scored seven straight goals to win 7-1 Sophomore forward Daymien Abitua recorded a hat trick junior forward Daeveon Browne chipped in with a brace and sophomore midfielder Lucas Rudy and sophomore defender Nathan Arrequin added one goal each it puts them down against the ropes and then they usually respond,” Ansbach coach Paul Rauscher said Those slow starts have become a troubling trend for the Cougars (9-3-1) especially with who’s waiting in the wings Ansbach will face top-seeded AFNORTH in the title game on Thursday morning at Ramstein Heigh School The Lions defeated scrappy Spangdahlem 4-0 in the other Division III semifinal Wednesday afternoon The two teams met once during the regular season in a match that wasn’t kind to the Cougars The Lions (8-2) routed the Cougars in Ansbach 8-1 on April 13 the Ansbach coach said his players are entering the match thinking they’re huge underdogs for one,” Rauscher said of his team’s mentality “They did not see the real Ansbach when they visited for some reason.” The Cougars have allowed three goals in the tournament and posted five shutouts this season have given up just one goal to Division III competition all season Rauscher said Ansbach will have to match AFNORTH’s stalwart defense with a wall of its own the Cougars must take their chances on the rare occasions they get them (the final) will be a low-scoring affair,” Rauscher said “Our scoring opportunities will be limited they can definitely have their opportunities our defense is going to have to keep them from scoring We have not given up a lot of goals this tournament AFNORTH defeated Sigonella 5-1 in a preview of Thursday’s title game
