Purchased by the Capellman family as an 8-year old in 1998
Amando was first a small tour horse for Gina's sister Nadine
She rode the bay at national shows in Mannheim and Bad Salzuflen
In July 1998 Gina made her show debut on Amando at a local show in Vlotho-Exter and since then the Swedish gelding became Gina's most successful dressage horse in the 2000s

He taught me to give the right aids and I’m very thankful that I could learn so much from him
He really knew what he wanted and told that to us without misunderstanding

The PET bottle-to-bottle recycling company based in Bad Salzuflen
is now operating 9 SSP (Solid State Polycondensation) reactors from Starlinger recycling technology
BTB has been using the food-grade technology developed by the Austrian specialist for plastics recycling since 2007
BTB processes approximately 20,000 tons of PET input material from the German bottle return system on a Starlinger recoSTAR PET 165 iV+ recycling line installed prior to the SSP reactors
one of BTB’s General Managers and in charge of all technical matters
explains why this is not as easy as it used to be: “Unfortunately
the beverage containers collected through the German container deposit system are not as well separated as before – in the reverse vending machines both clear and coloured bottles are collected together
the input material contains other plastics as well as aluminium and tinplates
This creates a lot of extra work for us in pre-sorting as we use only clear PET bottles for our bottle-to-bottle process
our most recent investments went – besides into said Starlinger machines – into improved sorting technology
We separate the input material at the beginning of the treatment process and then sort the PET flakes again before extrusion to achieve best pellet quality.” In 2018 BTB received another positive EFSA Opinion on the “Direct iV+” process for producing food-grade recycled PET
With this process the company was able to increase its production output and operates even more efficiently and with higher energy savings
but also in terms of circular economy the German PET recycler acts as a role model: BTB caters to regular customers who use the recycled PET for producing beverage bottles which are filled
sold and after usage collected in the region
From this input material BTB then again produces PET regranulate – a perfect example for the sustainability of a regional closed packaging loop
Andrzej Zajontz is very positive about the cooperation with Starlinger: “Their service is always top-notch – quick and uncomplicated
and one clearly sees that they have years of experience
This was also the main reason why back in 2007 we decided to invest in Starlinger lines.” BTB also regularly uses the possibility to preview technical innovations in the Starlinger showroom
see the machine in operation you can decide if the investment makes sense for your company”
BTB is also a reference customer for Starlinger recycling technology
By request through Starlinger the doors in Bad Salzuflen are open to companies interested in the bottle-to- bottle recycling process
When asked how the COVID-19 crisis affected the business activities of BTB
Andrzej Zajontz replies: “Many of our customers produce food packaging and have been classified as essential businesses
we are operating also during the lockdown – of course under strict observation of the existent safety and hygienic measures
We could implement them well due to the manageable staff size of around 40 employees who also have a high level of self-responsibility
BTB currently faces the same problems like many other companies in the plastics recycling sector
“The low oil price is making things difficult for us – it impedes the sale of recycled materials” describes Andrzej Zajontz the situation
“For plastics recyclers it is very hard to find new customers at the moment
At least we can rely on our existing ones.” The topics of sustainability and circular economy have been pushed aside by COVID-19 and its effects on economy and society – be it in the media or in the political discourse
“The Greta Thunberg-effect has weakened,” says Andrzej Zajontz regretfully
BTB owner and General Manager Richard Wüllner thinks the same
”What we need is a sustainable and comprehensive concept for the production
The Bike-Farm Melle Indian Chief-based long-fork Chopper “Purple Haze” took the win with 3-times the votes compared to the competition
Bike-Farm-Melle biker build off chopper winner THE Custombike Show in Bad Salzuflen
ended last week with Indian scooping the top spot in the coveted European Biker Build-Off 2022
It took the win thanks to Bike-Farm Melle and their Indian Chief chopper that gain three times the votes of the other bike
The final of the build-off was a bit of a ‘Derby’ match
with the two teams vying for the top spot being located just 30km from each other in Germany
Adding to the pressure was that while Bike-Farm Melle was built by an Indian
the other bike was created using Harley-Davidson hardware
it was the Indian machine that wooed the crowd
swooping in to take the win with 529 votes
Bike-Farm-Melle biker build-off winner The winning bike
might have been styled to look and feel like a classic chop’ from the 70s and 80s
beneath the metal flake paint and skinny tyres lies a completely modern machine
even keeping the bike’s handy touchscreen TFT dash
Bike-Farm-Melle biker build-off winner The frame of the bike was also changed with footrests altered and the brake system changed
The frame was set up with 48 degrees of rake and manufactured by Dutch specialists VG Motorcycle Specials
The Bike-Farm team undertook all sheet metal work
such as the tank cover with integrated gauge and GPS transmitter
oil-free fork with its Teflon-lubricated sliding tubes were custom-made in-house
“The entire bike was created within just eight weeks
All the more we are delighted with this title
Not only have all the electronic features been retained
this dream bike will soon be seen quite regularly on public roads.”

which has a range of 300 kilometres and is generally used for daily distribution transport
the logistics company is satisfied with the results
The Dachser branch in Bad Salzuflen tested its Renault Trucks E-Tech D e-truck
typically used for local distribution around the site
with a range of approximately 300 kilometres
travelled from Germany to Hungary for a charitable purpose
“Furniture was transported to Hungary by truck—2,100 kilometres round trip,” the company stated before the journey began
a dispatcher at Dachser and one of the two drivers
explained in an interview how the preparations went:
“The biggest challenge was finding charging stations along the route with sufficient capacity that could accommodate lorries
We used various apps to carefully plan the route and charging options in advance
The charging stations needed to be directly along the motorway to avoid wasting time
we also had to familiarise ourselves with the vehicle beforehand and thoroughly understand its range and charging times,” Syrbe reported
the information we had obtained in advance about the charging stations was incorrect
and we had to adjust the route,” Syrbe explained
“We had to recharge a total of nine times during the journey
and the biggest challenge was accessing the charging stations
Many points described as suitable for lorries weren’t suitable at all
and we frequently had to use car parking spaces just to charge.”
“The vehicle completed the outward journey without any issues
an error message appeared on the onboard computer
always operating at full power,” Syrbe reported
the truck covered a distance of 2,200 kilometres and consumed 1,690 kWh of electricity
this corresponds to a saving of around 1.1 tonnes of CO₂ compared to a modern diesel truck

Home/NewsAkrapovic Full Moon concept motorcycle is out of this worldAkrapovič (pronounced a-CROP-o-vitch) makes car exhaust systems for everything from the Volkswagen Golf to the Audi R18 E-Tron quattro endurance racer
The Slovenian company also does motorcycle exhausts and has gotten into custom bikes to show off its work
Three years ago it debuted the Morsus (inset)
a fluid assemblage of carbon fiber and steel with two large wheels at either end
At the Bad Salzuflen Custom Bike Show in Germany Akrapovič showed off the next evolution
Akrapovič (pronounced a-CROP-o-vitch) makes car exhaust systems for everything from the Volkswagen Golf to the Audi R18 E-Tron quattro endurance racer
it's still hard to get a sense of its proportions
The engine nested in that bodywork is a 1,524cc S&S Knucklehead
The carbon and aluminum front wheel that gives the bike its Full Moon name is 30 inches in diameter; that's 13 inches wider than the front wheel on a Ducati 1299 Panigale
11 inches wider than the front wheel on a Harley Davidson Road Glide
it is the exhaust – the company says all the sheetmetal in the frame and rear fairing is integral to the custom Akrapovič system
Elsewhere there's plenty more technology
a hydraulic suspension so you can park the bike upright
and two LED strips on the leading edges of the footrests that we suppose are meant to act as headlights
There's a press release below with more information
World Premiere for the New Akrapovič Full Moon Concept
Dec 6th 2014 – Akrapovič has officially unveiled its brand-new Full Moon concept motorcycle at the Bad Salzuflen Custombike Show in Germany in front of a captivated audience of show visitors
This stunning new concept has been developed with the assistance of Slovenian Dreamachine Motorcycles-the same partnership that produced the legendary Morsus in 2011
Designed to be a continuation of the Morsus story
the Full Moon has a personality and characteristics completely different from its predecessor and has been designed to excite anyone that might not have been impressed by Akrapovič's first prototype machine-if that were at all possible
This concept machine was developed to avoid being categorized
and as such is a bike that belongs nowhere and everywhere
The name comes from the huge aluminum and carbon thirty-inch front wheel
giving the impression of a full moon and making a huge statement of what this bike is about
Over eight hundred hours went into creating this superbly finished machine
which features an S&S Knucklehead 1,524 cc engine and two modified custom-made Akrapovič exhausts
The frame and bodywork are made entirely of sheet metal and form an extension to the exhausts
The bodywork is thus part of the Akrapovič exhaust system-an integral part
in fact-and the bike itself is essentially an exhaust
The thirty-inch composite wheel is not found on other custom bikes
and another innovation is a composite braking disc
also unseen in this size on motorcycles until now
which allows a minimalist steering rod without any visible cables that would otherwise be required for the bike to function
The Full Moon can also stand upright when parked
This is an extremely technically advanced motorcycle
full of unique elements that were carefully chosen to make the bike totally exclusive
and the shape hides completely new solutions used on a custom bike for the first time
The Full Moon is like no other bike out there now
The Full Moon is now the star attraction at the Akrapovič booth-which also features all the latest state-of-the-art Akrapovič custom bike exhausts-at Bad Salzuflen
where it will remain until the end of the show
before heading off to be showcased at many other events

the akrapovic concept offers further improved performance features such as the two modified custom-made exhausts
automated steering to reduce the amount of visible cables
