of electrode sides ensure Cellforce Group’s high quality and speed for subsequent production 2022 — Heading for the future at high speed: The Cellforce Group a joint venture of sports car manufacturer Porsche and battery specialist CUSTOMCELLS has successfully built up the mass production process for coating its electrodes over the past twelve months — relying on the knowledge and direct proximity to machinery and plant manufacturer Dürr the Cellforce Group and Dürr jointly commissioned a high-tech coating facility for high-performance battery cells in Bietigheim-Bissingen the Cellforce Group (CFG) will soon be using a special process from Dürr that enables both sides of the electrode to be coated simultaneously the coating process can be accelerated and the precision and quality significantly increased when compared to the standard procedure the anode and cathode materials are not applied simultaneously but rather one after the other on both sides of a thin metal foil In order to successfully commission and establish the process the Cellforce Group has been on site at Dürr in Bietigheim-Bissingen for several months and has implemented production on a factory line could act quickly and make possible adjustments directly That's why we chose this Cellforce proprietary approach which has greatly increased the speed of development of our coating process and allows us to build up shared knowledge at an early stage," says Markus Woland Director Operations at the Cellforce Group Processes ready for a new Cellforce Group site The technology for the double-sided electrode coating was developed by Dürr's US subsidiary Megtec "We have a special technology that enables the Cellforce Group to manufacture top-quality high-performance cells — and to do so with a highly efficient and sustainable production process By working directly with the Cellforce Group we can optimally align the technology with their needs and thus support them in the future development and production of high-performance cells with high energy density," says Dr "Strong partnerships are needed for the development and production of future high-performance battery cells The direct cooperation between the Cellforce Group and Dürr AG is a good example of how win-win situations can be created for all parties involved This is a role model and thus sets standards for battery cell production in Germany," says Michael Steiner Member of the Board of Management for Research and Development at Porsche AG The Cellforce Group is currently building a state-of-the-art development and production site for battery cells in the Reutlingen-Kirchentellinsfurt industrial park the production processes set up at Dürr can be taken over and continued directly To ensure sustainable operation of the coating line Dürr is also supplying equipment for exhaust air purification and the recovery of more than 99 percent of the solvents used Cellforce Group GmbH (CFG) plans to develop and produce high-performance lithium-ion pouch cells for special automotive applications from 2024 Cellforce is a joint venture in which Porsche AG holds a 72.7 percent stake with the remaining shares held by bus “a real experience” high-end German bus operator Spillmann has taken ownership of five custom-spec Citaros with “eye-catching” interiors Though arguably the type of design treatment traditionally reserved for display purposes only at bus shows the four Citaro hybrids and one Citaro G – all with Sideguard Assist technology – are making local Bietigheim-Bissingen / Mannheim and beyond passenger journeys even more memorable Spillmann has put a lot of effort into making such bespoke ‘bus experiences’ and these five new Mercedes-Benz buses have been individually designed and customised for just that The Mannheim-based bus plant’s managing director of Omnibusverkehr Spillmann GmbH took delivery of four Mercedes-Benz Citaro hybrids and the one Citaro articulated bus from Rüdiger Kappel The Spillmann MBs offer efficient hybrid components and the Sideguard Assist safety system The radar-based Sideguard Assist supports the bus driver when making critical right turns; it detects both stationary and mobile obstacles USB charging sockets and comprehensive infotainment but special interiors with every vehicle designed according to a theme which has a floor made of ship planks and printed side walls giving passengers a view of the open sea or sandy beaches In the ‘Astronomy’ bus – and probably the coolest one we say – the floor (deceptively 3D-ish from the right angle) is printed like the surface of the moon and the side walls show a view from the moon to the earth and into the universe The ‘Bietigheim’ vehicle (the local area) visualises the highlights of the Bietigheim-Bissingen region on the side walls Spillmann gave the side walls a colourful 1960s design and it additionally features untreated steel handrails with a vintage character In the Citaro articulated bus the seat colours create four different zones This ‘mobility’ bus features an asphalt flooring design including tyre tracks and central reservation the bus company started to make local public transport more attractive with cool and unique vehicles Spillmann’s company philosophy is to stand out from other run-of-the-mill public buses by creating buses offering a special experience This means virtually every Spillmann public service bus has special design highlights: from handrails in a chrome or vintage look to eye-catching printed floors and side walls or specially upholstered seats Australasian Bus & Coach (ABC) is the leading bus and coach publication in the region providing news directly to the local industry ABC has released monthly magazines all about buses and coaches in Tag- und Nachtschichten im Einsatz für das bereits vor seiner Fertigstellung Superlative vergeben werden: Als der „bedeutendste der württembergischen Eisenbahnbauten überhaupt“ wird der Bietigheimer Enzviadukt in der Nummer 39 der „Illustrierten Zeitschrift“ von 1851 bezeichnet in dem der Grundstein für den Viadukt wurde Die Enzüberquerung erreiche zwar nicht die Höhe und Länge des Viadukts über das Göltschtal in Sachsen es „steht demselben aber in Beziehung auf Kühnheit und Schönheit der Construktionen und Solidität des Baues durchaus nicht nach“ Im Rahmen einer Sommerserie blickt die BZ zurück auf die Entstehungsgeschichte des Bauwerks das längst zum Wahrzeichen der Stadt geworden ist Auch wenn es davon in Bietigheim-Bissingen so einige gibt – ob Unteres Tor der Sky-Tower am Bahnhof – der Viadukt sticht sowohl von seinen Dimensionen als auch von seiner Bekanntheit her hervor Dabei war es gar nicht selbstverständlich dass die Stadt Bietigheim dieses Bauwerk bekommen würde Die Stadt war 1847 an die württembergische Eisenbahn angeschlossen worden die damals in Nord-Süd-Richtung verlief und 1848 mit Heilbronn ihren vorläufigen Endpunkt erreichte Bereits damals wurde über einen Abzweig nach Westen darüber gab es unterschiedliche Ansichten Etliche Planungsvarianten wurden erörtert Am Ende fiel die Wahl auf  Bietigheim die frühere Leiterin des Bietigheimer Hornmoldhauses in einem Vortrag beim örtlichen Geschichtsverein vermutete könnten dabei auch persönliche Beziehungen eine Rolle gespielt haben Der Schwiegervater des für den Bau verantwortlichen Oberbaurats Carl Etzel der in  Bietigheim geborene Karl Gärttner habe als württembergischer Finanzminister 1844 einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Verkehrsentwicklung im Land gehabt für den Bestand des Viadukts zentrale Entscheidung die Eisenbahnbrücke aus Holz zu bauen die die damaligen Ingenieure meistern mussten waren enorm: Zur Überquerung des Enztals sollte ein 287 Meter langer 33 Meter hoher und auf 21 Bögen ruhender Eisenbahnviadukt gebaut werden Neben Etzel als Planer des gesamten Westbahnprojekts war der in Bietigheim lebende Bauinspektor August Beckh für die Ausführung des Bauabschnitts Bietigheim zuständig Die Vorarbeiten für das gewagte Bauwerk starteten 1850 Wie der Allgemeinen Bauzeitung von 1856 zu entnehmen ist auch wenn Rückschläge nicht ausblieben: Am 1 August 1851 riss ein Hochwasser den Transportsteg weg wie die Oberamtsbeschreibung für Besigheim vermerkt Doch trotzdem waren schon bis Ende des Jahres alle Pfeiler fundiert und auf Sockelhöhe Im Winter wurden zum Schutz des Maschinengerüsts Eisbrecher errichtet musste ein riesiges Gerüst gebaut werden um die Sandsteinquader an ihre Bestimmungsorte transportieren zu können 500 bis 600 Arbeiter und Handwerker waren in Tag- und Nachtschichten auf der Großbaustelle tätig war (in der) Holzgartenstraße 9 ein Lazarett eingerichtet in dem der Bietigheimer Wundarzt Alexander Müller waltete“ Prämien sollten die Arbeiter anspornen September überquerte der erste Zug bei einer Probefahrt das Bauwerk Bei dieser offiziellen Einweihungsfeier wurde eine Gedenktafel mit der Aufschrift „König Wilhelm 1853“ enthüllt Nur der Kostenplan war aus dem Ruder gelaufen Statt der veranschlagten 680 000 Gulden kostete der  Viadukt am Ende die enorme Summe von 1,1 Millionen Gulden Die Bilanz war gleichwohl positiv: Mit der Fertigstellung der Brücke und des weiteren Schienenwegs konnte die Bahnlinie von  Bietigheim über Mühlacker durch badisches Gebiet nach Bruchsal eröffnet werden Das Bauwerk avancierte schnell zum Lehrstück für Ingenieure in einem Lehrbuch von 1861 als Beispiel für „sinnreiche Construction schwache Dimension und saubere Ausführung“ Die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung des Viadukts lässt sich laut Ille-Kopp vor allem mit der Ansiedlung der Linoleum-Werke Nairn AG 1899 belegen Später entstand mit der Arbeitersiedlung „Köpenick“ gegenüber dem DLW-Gelände ein eigener Stadtteil der zwischen Altstadt und Bahnhof nahe am Viadukt für das Hinwachsen der Stadt zur Schiene mitverantwortlich war Die Nutzungsfrequenz des Viadukts steigerte sich sodass 1913 Pläne zum Bau eines Entlastungsviadukts kursierten Allerdings musste die Brücke aufgrund des gestiegenen Schienenverkehrsaufkommens und der gestiegenen Achslasten in den Jahren 1928 und 1929 verstärkt werden Bombenangriffe im Jahr 1945 gegen Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs überstand das Bauwerk Erst die Sprengung durch die sich nach Osten zurückziehende Wehrmacht am 8 April 1945 sorgte für eine Unterbrechung des Zugverkehrs Nach Kriegsende schlossen die Amerikaner die entstandene Lücke von 75 Metern durch einen eingleisigen Notviadukt 1946 wurde etwas flussabwärts eine Notbrücke eingerichtet Im Jahr darauf begannen dann die Arbeiten zur Wiederherstellung des Viadukts Erst die Eröffnung der ICE-Strecke 1991 reduzierte laut Regina Ille-Kopp die Auslastung des Viadukts durch Personenzüge noch immer zu den wichtigsten Eisenbahnbrücken im deutschen Schienennetz Info In einer Sommerserie werden in der BZ Denkmale und andere historische Orte und Örtlichkeiten im Landkreis Ludwigsburg beleuchtet Im Farben die Entwicklung der Jahresmitteltemperaturen in Baden-Württemberg Am Beruflichen Schulzentrum in Bietigheim-Bissingen wurde am Montag über Klimaschutz diskutiert und dazu hatte Schulleiter Stefan Ranzinger mit Noemi Mundhaas eine Vertreterin der radikalen „Letzten Generation“ geladen um sich mit dem CDU-Bundestagsabgeordneten für den Wahlkreis Neckar-Zaber vor rund 300 Schülern in der Aula ein Streitgespräch zu liefern was in den Köpfen der „Aktivisten“ vor sich gehe die seit gut einem Jahr mit „provozierenden und rechtlich fragwürdigen“ Aktionen auf ihr Anliegen aufmerksam machten Von Verkehrsblockaden bis hin zum Beschmieren von Gemälden oder dem Denkmal „Grundgesetz 49“ in Berlin Mundhaas (28) stellte Ranzinger als Einser-Abiturientin aus Konstanz vor die am Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung studiert und nach Tätigkeit für „Fridays-for-Future“ seit Januar 2022 bei der „Letzten Generation“ ist der im Ausschuss für Klimaschutz und Energie des Bundestages mitwirkt wurde laut Ranzinger stellvertretend für „die politische Klasse“ eingeladen begründete Mundhaas ihre Mitwirkung in der Organisation deren Mitglieder aufgrund ihrer Aktionen auch als „Klima-Kleber“ bezeichnet werden Bereits seit 2018 setze sie alle Kraft ein zur Erreichung dieses Zieles „zivilen Widerstand“ zu leisten Wenn bestimmte „Kipppunkte“ erreicht seien sei das „das Todesurteil für Milliarden Menschen“ nachts vor einer Aktion schon mal nicht schlafen zu können Aber mehr Angst habe sie vor den Gefahren der „Klimakrise“ wie zum Beispiel Überflutungen oder Dürre von der Polizei „teilweise mit Schmerzgriffen“ abgeführt zu werden bei ihrer ersten „Klebe-Aktion“ in Handschellen Der Aufenthalt in einer Einzelzelle sei „kein schönes Erlebnis“ Die Kernforderungen der „Letzten Generation“ sind ein Tempolimit von 100 Stundenkilometern auf deutschen Autobahnen ein Neun-Euro-Ticket fürs Bahnfahren und ein sogenannter „Gesellschaftsrat“ wie Deutschland bis 2030 emissionsfrei wird Die Bundesregierung solle öffentlich zusagen die mit den erarbeiteten Maßnahmen dieses „Nebenparlaments“ (Ranzinger) verbundenen Gesetzesvorhaben in den Bundestag einzubringen wurde für zwei Mal Nötigung (bei Autoblockaden) bereits vom Gericht zu 40 Tagessätzen à 20 Euro verurteilt Denn es gebe einen „gerechtfertigten Notstand“ das „richtige Anliegen“ des Klimaschutzes verliere durch die Maßnahmen der „Letzten Generation“ sich mit modernen Technologien für Klima- und Umweltschutz einzusetzen „Mit Verboten werden wir keine Nachahmer finden.“ Deutschland allein könne die Welt nicht retten während beispielsweise China über 200 neue Kohlekraftwerke plane das im Großen und Ganzen sachlich verlief wonach 80 bis 90 Prozent der Menschen die Aktionen der „Klima-Kleber“ falsch finden Dass das auch eine Mehrheit der Schüler des Beruflichen Schulzentrums so sieht die im Vorfeld des Streitgesprächs durchgeführt worden war Demnach finden 78 Prozent der Befragten das Festkleben für den Klimaschutz falsch Genauso viele befürworten es aber auch Letzteres war auch der Tenor in den Äußerungen von Noemi Mundhaas ob sie dann zur Verringerung des CO2-Ausstoßes durch Kohlekraftwerke auch für die Beibehaltung der Atomkraft als einer klimaneutralen Technologie sei Das sei die Wahl zwischen Pest und Cholera Alexander Wehrle has occupied the position of chief executive officer of VfB
