Kamiak athlete/tight end prospect T’Andre Waverly previews this weekend's official visit to Notre Dame."Notre Dame is as traditional as it gets."Story: https://t.co/KkbitvmafT pic.twitter.com/9GQsrnm1Ql the Irish are set to host official visitors on game day Two key targets on the offensive side of the ball are expected at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday afternoon Greenville High School (GA) athlete Antavious Richardson is making the trip to South Bend this weekend after receiving a Notre Dame offer in late August and although he is currently committed to South Florida both Notre Dame and Alabama are hoping to change that The Irish have their opportunity this weekend with the dynamic Georgia athlete who was recently elevated to four-star status in the On3 Top 300 rankings Notre Dame is recruiting him to play wide receiver A new name to the Notre Dame target board is Kamiak HS (WA) tight end T'Andre Waverly While he has not officially announced an Irish offer it is fair assume he has a spot in the Notre Dame class if he wants one the coaching staff was pushing for two tight ends but progress on that front has been quiet for some time Given the ongoing questions about pass catchers in the 2025 class adding Waverly—a standout athlete at the tight end position—would be a welcomed addition 📍Back in South Bend this weekend @jleuthe30 O'Brien is making his way back to Notre Dame many believe O'Brien will eventually transition to safety While it may not be likely that he commits this weekend and Notre Dame would love to secure his commitment Portage Northern High School (MI) offensive lineman Gregory Patrick is another long-time Notre Dame target and the Irish expect to remain in the mix until he makes his final decision He’ll have the chance to tour campus again this weekend as Notre Dame looks to continue making a strong impression on the four-star 2026 Michigan prospect Arguably the most talented recruit visiting Notre Dame this weekend is class of 2027 wide receiver Jamier Brown from Wayne High School in Dayton Although it's a long way until his decision Brown is currently ranked among the top 10 in the 2027 class and holds offers from some of the premier programs in college football Working in Notre Dame's favor is the connection with head coach Marcus Freeman and defensive backs coach Mike Mickens both of deer on social media was the beginning of an investigation that ended with three Saskatchewan residents convicted of offences under The Wildlife Act and given licence suspensions and fines totalling $17,240 The three people were sentenced in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Oct Lindsey Erbach of Marquis was convicted of four counts of unlawful hunting and one count of providing false information to an officer This resulted in a fine of $13,020 and a three-year licence suspension Dunbar of Moose Jaw was convicted of unlawful possession of wildlife and providing false information to an officer resulting in a fine of $3,220 and a two-year licence suspension was convicted of four counts of failing to tag game receiving $1,000 in fines and a one-year licence suspension Moose Jaw conservation officers noted a social media post that included several photos of a woman posing with an untagged white-tailed deer buck at a residence Further investigation revealed another account with more photos of the same person with other wildlife including an untagged white-tailed deer doe The trail of evidence led officers to interview both Lindsey Erbach and Lynne Dunbar about wildlife in their possession some of which were improperly tagged or untagged Moose Jaw and Regina conservation officers executed a search warrant at Erbach's rural residence Saskatchewan laws regulating the harvest of in 2005 he earned a bachelor’s degree in history before Erbach’s love of manufacturing reasserted itself One year into a part-time job teaching history at an area high school he applied for his current position at Streamwood “It was that last year that really drove it home for me that manufacturing is where my heart is,” he said A group of them have twice earned the state champion title in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition and Erbach is helping many others earn apprenticeships with manufacturers in Illinois Erbach’s also an instructor in the Project Lead the Way program has served as an adjunct instructor for the Tooling and Manufacturing Association (TMA) was just named a semifinalist in the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools 2018 Prize for Teaching Excellence and is currently working on an international manufacturing project with the German American Chamber of Commerce and a trade school in Germany “I believe that what my students are doing is incredible and I always try to show that off to the best of my ability,” he said “There’s still a perception in the United States that manufacturing is a dirty job and that if you don’t go to college it’s somehow a failure If I can get a kid excited about manufacturing—whether it’s running a machine or designing parts or programming or whatever—he or she is practically guaranteed a good paying That’s what I love best about this job.” Riley Leonard has unfairly become the scapegoat and target for many Irish fans since then Leonard is not a perfect quarterback; he has struggled at times and the passing game has faced restrictions as a result particularly when it comes to pushing the ball downfield the quarterback position is as much mental as it is physical and Leonard's physical talent is evident the mental aspect of the game has been his biggest challenge at times leading to missed opportunities on throws he would usually make with ease it's time for Notre Dame fans to move past the Northern Illinois game and accept Riley Leonard for who he is: a much better quarterback than many have been willing to acknowledge Riley Leonard has 14 touchdowns to 3 turnovers All of his turnovers have come against MAC teams ironically enough And it’s well documented he was injured against NIU Including the first two games of the season Leonard's statistics remain solid. In six games he is completing 66% of his passes and has accounted for 14 total touchdowns—six through the air and eight on the ground He has turned the ball over only three times: two interceptions and one fumble all three turnovers occurred in the games against Northern Illinois and Miami University He has passed for 979 yards and rushed for another 405 While these numbers may not seem spectacular at first glance they become more impressive when you consider his ability to protect the football and the strength of Notre Dame's dynamic rushing attack it's important to recognize that Leonard transferred to Notre Dame after undergoing two surgeries for a major ankle injury and is now navigating his third offensive system in four years as a starter He also played through an injury during the Northern Illinois game his slow start becomes much more understandable He’s also been a 66% passer. I think we are starting to see someone much more comfortable in the offenseHe missed all of spring practice and is in his 3rd offense already throughout his college careerContext matters even with how much the NIU loss sucks https://t.co/2tLYdmRHIq Leonard accounted for just one touchdown while turning the ball over twice He also contributed only 79 of his 405 rushing yards—the aspect of his game that makes him truly special when he’s at his best.Since NIU he is completing passes at a 70% clip and has 13 touchdowns to 1 turnover - a fumble after a long run against Miami University His total yards per game has also gone up from 231 to 246 per game These numbers would be even better if he didn't sit out the entire second half against Purdue and the fourth quarter against Stanford. If you presented these stats to any Notre Dame fan without context before the season many Irish fans seem hesitant to fully support QB1 in South Bend.Frankly Alright one more stat and then make sure you check out my Riley Leonard article I’m about to write Since NIU, Riley Leonard’s stats (4 games): 13 touchdowns, 1 turnover, 70% passer 658 yards passing, 326 yards rushing (964 total yards) https://t.co/PrFANmhmnd it's become clear that fans are much harder on them in the moment than a few years down the line but Notre Dame fans will remember Riley Leonard much more fondly 5-10 years down the line than they do now - especially if he keeps up this pace from the last four games throughout the remainder of the season It’s time for Notre Dame fans to move past the Northern Illinois game and acknowledge that Riley Leonard is a good college quarterback and this becomes increasingly evident each week as he is further away from his ankle injury and whatever issue occurred against NIU while also becoming more comfortable in the Mike Denbrock offense This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks The action you just performed triggered the security solution There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase You can email the site owner to let them know you were blocked Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page Waynesville High School has never won a team state championship in any sport Waynesville's cross country team recently won a Division II regional championship and its girls soccer team upset top-ranked Cincinnati Country Day to advance to the Division III regional finals.  Crossover has been a big reason for the teams' success Leading the charge is sophomores Samantha Erbach and Emme Greely; two players with similar mindsets and work ethic.  More: Here is the Cincinnati Enquirer's high school sports postseason coverage, Nov. 1-7 "We’re both really competitive when it comes to sports and school," Greely said "Going through this with someone who loves it as much as I do is really cool.” junior Alyza Camp and senior Kate Handle round out the dual-sport group.  Erbach and Greely have plenty of time to spend with each other throughout the fall Both juggle two-hour cross country and soccer practices after a full school day while maintaining 4.50 GPAs.  "I leave the house at 7 (a.m.) and don't get back until around 8 (p.m.) sometimes," Greely said "It's pretty hectic to really think about because not that many people have that busy of a schedule."  Judging by their individual accolades both in the classroom and on the field Erbach finished third in the regional meet (No 1 in Southwest Ohio) and is one of the area's premier soccer players She leads the Southwestern Buckeye League in both goals (34) and points (78) and her 138 career points in two seasons is the most by a sophomore in Southwest Ohio in recent years.  Greely finished 14th at regionals and is the starting center back for a Spartans' defense that has 12 shutouts this season Waynesville was the first team to earn a shutout win over Cincinnati Country Day since August 22 "We both want to be the best at everything "We share the same mindset so we understand where we're coming from It's great having a friend that does it all with me." Waynesville will run in the state cross country meet at noon then the girls soccer team is set to take on Mariemont in the regional final that night in Bellbrook a game that was originally scheduled for 2 p.m.  "We would've stressed about it all week if we wouldn't have been able to do both," Erbach laughed "That's why our coach didn't tell us until it was changed." the two are well-equipped to handle the frantic Saturday to come They'll have a tight itinerary starting Saturday morning that includes a warm-up jog before the bus leaves for Fortress Obetz then a one-mile run once they arrive before the race.  her favorite worship music and the same pre-race pregame attire to curb her superstition.  I wear blue pre-wrap and pink pre-wrap over that and I have different handshakes I do with everyone," she laughed "We pray before every race and talk in a circle and go through strategy with our coach. It all needs to be the same — I’m a pretty superstitious person."  both girls haven't had enough time to reflect on the runs each team is making.  we only train three days a week and usually people train every single day," Erbach said "It's crazy to think we're doing this without a whole week of training." including its top goal-scorer from a season ago That club was undefeated going into the postseason before losing to Cincinnati Country Day in the regional semifinals This year's squad was .500 at the halfway point of the regular season and finished tied for second in the SWBL-East division.  I don't think any of us thought we were capable of that. It feels unreal." Greely said "Everyone on the team works really hard and we all have the same goal: to get to state Eight of Waynesville's 11 starters on the soccer team play on select teams in the fall they'll jump immediately into more soccer and the hustle continues just one day after the Division III state title game Greely will go right into practice with CUFA Elite and basketball at Waynesville.  both are focused on the possibility of making history at their school.  "For us to be this good as a team with people who run and play soccer I can’t even comprehend how it's possible," Greely said The thought of that is unbelievable."  2023 at 7:32 am CT.css-79elbk{position:relative;}Eve Erbach nominated her daughter IL — Star Students are found in classrooms on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors This submission comes from Eve Erbach who nominated her daughter Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized She makes cards to welcome any new student in her class She helps her friends academically when she can and reminds her classmates to be nice if she sees someone isn't being treated kindly What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student and all of our best wishes to you in the future This content is brought to our community in partnership with T-Mobile Know an outstanding student? So proud was Queen Victoria of her German heritage that Princess Marie admitted privately in her memoirs that she had ‘never felt more German than when with her’ (cit. the Queen ‘always spoke German with me and all the letters I possess of hers are written in German’ (cit. Some of Queen Victoria’s peculiarities were distinctly German Marie tells us that ‘the Queen had many German ways – for example which in England is absolutely forbidden…’ (cit. This is in keeping with our fond image of the Queen burrowing away at her work outside in a tent surrounded by her constant companions – her travelling family of cups and tea-things Princess Marie visited Queen Victoria for the first time in March 1886 Marie included some fascinating extracts in her memoirs These tell us that Princess Marie was met at the station in Windsor and then once at Windsor Castle Marie wrote later that ‘I learned to know her in her purely human simplicity and greatness that a reigning Queen (and Empress since 1877) retained this strangely girl-like shyness Princess Louis of Battenberg – the eldest daughter of the Queen’s second daughter Grand Duchess of Hesse – confirmed this behaviour in her own private memoirs: ‘The Queen was a very shy person all her life and her apparent stiffness on meeting people for the first time was due to embarrassment’ (cit. The shyness was noticeable to Charles Dickens when he met her She was surprised and moved by the deep love contained in these objects which the Duchess had carefully preserved from her childhood such as the little book she found in which her mother had recorded each tooth This contrasts significantly with the one-sided negative view of their budding relationship it is more than fair to say that the love Queen Victoria came to fully feel for her mother was redoubled by her death and this painful realisation royal teeth would inspire personal jewellery of their own An enamel gold thistle brooch provided the setting for the first tooth of the Queen and Prince Albert’s eldest daughter contain Princess Beatrice’s (Princess Henry of Battenberg’s) milk teeth (Charlotte Gere Love and Art: Queen Victoria’s personal jewellery had one of her teeth set in a lily-of-the-valley piece Marie wondered on paper in her letters to her husband: ‘How is it possible one can remain so girlishly shy until late in life And yet she is a mighty sovereign for whom all there is something uncommonly impressive in her walk and carriage it has a charm which bewitches everyone’ (cit. Princess Marie’s apartments during her visit were in Windsor Castle’s Augusta Tower A large sitting room with a view over the home park [sic] Princess Marie describes a ‘famous corridor… which runs all round the castle… laid with a thick red carpet This is Marie’s impression of the legendary Grand Corridor part of the private apartments of Windsor Castle Princess Marie was fortunate enough to be taken over the castle by her brother telling us fascinatingly that ‘all the rooms are left open and are heated so that one can go everywhere without requiring the presence of a chatelaine with keys…’ (cit. A particular pleasure for Marie was a carriage ride alone with Queen Victoria Queen Victoria mentions the drive in her journal on the same day that Princess Marie writes her letter home to Germany: ‘The changing of the mantles and wraps during the drive went off quite well… On every change of temperature during a drive the Queen has to have a thicker or lighter wrap This habit of changing shawls or wraps on her drives was commented on by another companion in the Queen’s carriage Princess Louis of Battenberg in her private reminiscences: ‘She never went out without a collection of capes of different thickness and many a time have I helped her in the carriage to take a thinner one off and put a thicker one on and vice versa’ (cit. famously sensitive to extremes of heat and hated hot rooms Marie was also present at Windsor when the great composer Franz Liszt visited Queen Victoria on 27 March 1886 Marie wrote with feeling: ‘I much appreciated the sight of the two figures as they stood facing one another Queen Victoria later sent Marie a tiny bust of Liszt by the great sculptor who sculpted so many members of the Queen’s family According to Marie: ‘She drank her tea and coffee after it had been poured from one cup to another to cool it she had always several cups in front of her Her table beverage was seltzer-water with a little whisky…’ (cit. Princess Louis of Battenberg confirmed this in her memoirs: ‘For breakfast and tea Grandmama used two special cups and would pour the tea from one into the other to cool it’ (cit. Princess Louis also commented on the use of whisky which led to its legend: ‘She only drank whisky and water at her meals was finished off by her servants and thence the legend has arisen of her drinking lots of alcohol…’ (cit. Marie Erbach confirmed this in her memoirs that the whisky was partly for its medicinal properties as ‘ordered by the doctor; and out of this has grown the alcohol legend!!’ (cit. Princess Marie of Battenberg had been present at Schönberg when Queen Victoria was visiting in Germany and planted a lime tree known affectionately in local parlance as the ‘Victoria-Linde’ [Victoria Lime] Marie wrote in her memoirs: ‘During this visit Queen Victoria planted a lime-tree in the garden at the castle in memory of her great-grandfather Since then the lime has developed into a large shady tree’ (cit. the royal lime is hung with its own proud shield reading: ‘This lime tree was planted by Her Majesty Queen Victoria of England on the occasion of her visit to the Schloss 1887 to honour her great-grandfather Count George Auguste of Erbach-Schönberg The Count was the Queen’s great-great-grandfather Queen Victoria’s memory of it was simply this: ‘We went out to look at the beautiful view from the terrace The last entry in Queen Victoria’s journal concerning Princess Marie occurs in 1898 On a later visit to London after the Queen’s death Princess Marie stayed at Kensington Palace Marie noted that ‘Beatrice’s principal reception-room is the celebrated Council Chamber in which Queen Victoria One photograph of Princess Marie zu Erbach-Schönberg exists in the Royal Photograph Collection Marie’s last words sum up the mutual affection and warmth of feeling between herself and Queen Victoria by a short sentence when she visited Windsor after the death of Queen Victoria: ‘I went twice to Windsor and found it very painful not to see the dear Queen there any longer...’ (cit. Olentangy Orange Through the passion for travelling and collection of Count Franz’ I the Odenwald town of Erbach became the center of German ivory carving and had exhibited its extensive collections at the Werner Borchers Halle for many years The latter has been closed down towards the end of 2015 a small but exquisite part of the ivory sculptures have found a new home in the Erbach Palace  The remarkable exhibition concept of Sichau & Walter Architects BDA frees itself from the building envelope and presents the collection in darkened rooms with spatial boundaries sprayed in anthracite Leading across this visually dissolved space is a pier that offsets the differences in level and interconnects the showcases with a proverbial red thread these display cases are lined up on the walkway The show case glass panes’ lower third is frosted and fitted with edge light integrated in the base The sanding dissolves smoothly into clear glass By virtue of the edge light the frosting assumes a gentle brightness evocative of a haze that shrouds the object holders small profiles with miniature projectors are installed in the upper corners of the show cases A test on site revealed that in this spatial context silver anodized profiles and luminaires are less visible than black anodized equipment The miniature projectors stage the exhibits in an accentuating and glare-free fashion Larger display cases make use of an alternating layout of spot and medium optic luminaires This creates the impression that luminous figurines emerge from a sort of haze the frosted glass edge light and the miniature projectors are remote and stored in an accessible void in the show case’s plinth The pier and its low balustrade are clad in red leather The walking surface transforms into a seemingly suspended path in an intangible almost imperceptible spatial envelope by virtue of concealed LED light ribbons in its balustrade a groove has been milled into the upper part of the inward-facing balustrade flank The slanted apertures are aimed at the path and house LED light ribbons fitted with honeycomb louvers that shield the light sources even from longitudinal views The upper part of the guard can be removed for installation and maintenance of the LED strips the balustrade appears to be massive and carved from one piece The LED converters are remote and hidden in a cavity underneath the raised pier One of the spaces uses existing historical closets now displaying a wealth of objects that have been fastened to the molleton fleece-clad rear wall These are set in scene by linear light sources concealed inside the furniture the continuous LED light strips have been installed horizontally in the overhead part and vertically in the flanks of the closets The mounting locations have been chosen in such a fashion as to combine an optimum illumination with a minimum visibility of the light sources sees the visitor off with a view of yet unprocessed elephant and mammoth tusks thus revealing also the controversial side of the exhibit Ceiling mounted miniature projectors underline the exhibit’s drama These luminaires originate from the same system as the display case lighting In order to better fit into the spatial envelope’s colour They form a frame to ensure that with changing contents exhibits in the periphery and in the center will be optimally set in scene the pier illumination and the orchestration of the existing closets can all be switched and dimmed individually by showcase and by room The dimming values of each component are adjusted to meet dramaturgical and spatial criteria Following the prevalent red hues of the showcase plinths and pier all lighting elements use warm white light This further emphasizes the exhibits by virtue of colour perspective and helps to materialize them through focal glow Licht Kunst Licht underscores the contrasting exhibition scenery and brilliantly orchestrates its treasures multilevel commercial building was vacated in the downtown shopping district of Stevens Point realized that finding a new tenant for the 31,000-square-foot structure was going to be a challenge After several months of trying to rent his vacant building Call It New/Call It Antique was an immediate success Rand and his son Ryan decided to expand into Arizona Ryan began scouting for a suitable space in Arizona RELATED: Use caution when investing in Bruce Jenner memorabilia right now "I must have explored about 200 locations before I narrowed the possibilities down to a couple of dozen sites," Ryan recalled He smiled as he added that although he was exploring locations he kept returning to a 43,000-square-foot building at 2049 W He was convinced it would be a suitable site for an antiques mall Together they agreed it would be a good location and signed a lease in November 2013 display cases and dealer spaces," Rand explained He pointed out that areas were rented as quickly as they could be built due in no small part to an attractive shopping environment and dealer rents that were among the lowest in the area there has been a waiting list for vendors but construction continues to help meet the need One of the things that both men decided from the very beginning was inventory control we made it clear that we would not feature crafts or instant collectibles at our mall," Rand said The goal was to have an environment that made shoppers feel as if they had stepped back in time and Rand explained that feeling isn't triggered by garage-sale clutter He emphasized that merchandise quality is one of the main focuses at Call It New/Call It Antique That careful planning and attention to detail make this mall one of the most interesting in the region interesting displays and special galleries are not just attracting customers but also helping redefine antiquing not just in Phoenix but throughout the Southwest RELATED: Quilts are comfy pieces of folk art the mall has attracted more than 200 dealers One of the first vendors to come aboard was Phil Walter who specializes in "mantiques," items that appeal to men such as tools sports equipment and even vintage beer cans who has a display case filled with rare cameras scarce scientific equipment and 19th- and 20th-century images The building is carpeted throughout and merchandise is displayed in such a way that people can browse in a mall that is quickly becoming a shopping destination Rand is amazed and pleased at how successful the Mesa mall has become The foot traffic and demand for space have even encouraged him to consider a new location or two in Arizona Larry Cox is a former antiques dealer and longtime antiques and collectibles columnist Broadway Road (Southwest corner of Broadway and Erbach started Humans of Honesdale earlier this year where she takes her passion and captures individuals’ character While the image is the primary component of the project the photos are heightened when individuals’ share brief facts about themselves Looking for something to do with her photography Erbach considers herself to be a “people watcher” and so as she often sees the same people and wonders who they are Humans of Honesdale was an opportunity to learn more Erbach no longer simply passes them by because she is able to acknowledge them by their name Although some may be apprehensive to approach strangers with a camera in hand Erbach said it isn’t difficult because she considers herself to be a people person she simply introduces herself and learns peoples’ stories through a few basic questions One man shocked Erbach while talking of his time in Vietnam and volunteering as Santa Claus He went on to mention that he has been sober for 37 years An African American woman told Erbach that she doesn’t encounter a lot of racism in the area that was something Erbach was surprised about Erbach said she believes people are generally good and through her own hardships she learned that despite not being from the region the community helped her overcome her challenges she has been able to move on and through Humans of Honesdale an additional avenue to Humans of Honesdale is that it is an opportunity for the “everyday person” to have their own 15 minutes and know that they too are appreciated Erbach doesn’t just look to folks in Honesdale as she travels throughout the northeast where she will photography anyone who is willing the title fits because she is from Honesdale and its where the project started The public’s response to Humans of Honesdale Erbach figured she would collect images throughout the year and then do a showing in a gallery; but now with over 3,000 likes to her Facebook page she is a bit taken aback by her project’s success are photogenic even though many don’t feel they are; she explains that everyone has something that makes them “unique and special” which she understands When someone thinks their hair doesn’t look good Erbach said she wishes they could see what she sees that they are “beautiful and you’re unique.” There are times when Erbach is rejected and in the beginning she said it was harder to approach people but now she has business cards and a website to present Erbach figured she knew what the story would be but then the person says something and it changes the entire angle of the story With no plan in mind as to whom she will photograph next Erbach said there are times she attends events and while she hopes to talk to one person When adults allow their children to be photographed that is great because she loves photographing children Erbach has decided not to show peoples’ names because the towns she visits are small there is a chance for some privacy to remain; plus those who participate may not realize the vast number of people who visit the website Erbach said she often chooses after watching them for a bit and something grabs her attention and she can’t help but wonder what the story is Erbach said she gets a general feeling of whether the person will approve or not Erbach said there are times she has to pry a bit Erbach said is an opportunity to address preconceived notions Erbach is also a supported employment specialist and a single parent Erbach said that following through with her photography happened with the support of her friends who believed in her because she never had the confidence to take the leap of faith before For everyone who has allowed her to take their photo Erbach says thanks and that she appreciates that they shared their stories While others have done their own “Humans of” elsewhere Erbach is the sole mind behind Humans of Honesdale and for the time being but she plans on going wherever the camera allows search Humans of Honesdale on Facebook at group Din to The Citizen in Downtown Jersey City For someone who's barely old enough to drink Timothy Erbach has certainly made himself felt as part of Hudson County's music scene Tim and his friends have run an all-ages concert venue Erbach brings his new musical project Din to downtown Jersey City's Citizen has been a fixture on the local band scene for nearly a third of his young life "I wrote a lot of songs when I was 16 and we started Silver Plane Crucifix when I was 17 and our drummer Rory was 19," Erbach recalled "And then when Evan (Dibbs) joined a year later Silver Plane Crucifix soon morphed into Perenniel Reel and these young entrepreneurs discovered that if they wanted a scene for themselves and their under-21 friends They converted the basement of an art warehouse on the Union City/Jersey City border and started booking all ages shows founded a record label called Mulberry Sound Recordings and even started making their own recordings they helped foster the first all-ages scene in the area since the original Maxwell's closed "I think Perenniel Reel was one of the bigger forces in making all those things happen but I think the reason it happened was because there was just so much talent around at the time and all our friends' bands were so good that things that just took on a life of their own We just tried to focus it in a couple of places like with the label and the studio and all that Rory and I were neighbors in Jersey City Heights and Evan grew up in Hoboken and most of our friends were still in high school," Erbach said "And because we started the band when we were so young I think we were all still undeveloped as musicians at first and after four years as a band and we still hang out together and jam with each other all the time I wouldn't even say we broke up over creative differences it was just that we all wanted to do other things," he said "Evan has become a really talented jazz guitarist and he's going to school now studying jazz which was really hard to do with Evan in school," Erbach continued and I saw that was really beneficial for him so it just seemed that we had taken the band as far as we could and everyone was mature enough to see it was over We didn't have to go through this whole six month process of being miserable together we just nipped it in the bud and went our separate ways." "It's been a pretty fluid situation but the two musicians I'm playing with now the more chemistry and musical rapport we get and I think we'll be playing together for a while," Erbach said "It's Andrea (Curutchet Stevenson) from the band CachaBacha who it turns out is really good on the drums," he explained "I thought at first that she'd just be a fill-in drummer for us but she's incredible and just naturally gifted And then it's John Kadian from the Kadian Quartet on keyboards He's the best musician of all of us by leaps and bounds You just put a chord chart in front of him and he comes up with these amazing parts So it's a lot of fun and very easy working with them." and Erbach replies that he'd like the answer to that question to change on a regular basis I listen to a lot of jazz but I can't really play jazz bass but John is really good and we're going for that kind of sound "And then it's some of the pop-prog rock from Perenniel Reel since I wrote some of the songs we're doing now during the last days of that band we didn't really put a lot of effort into working on new material toward the end so I have those songs left over and now I'm developing them with Din Let's just call it groovy stuff." Erbach's former bandmate Evan Dibbs has two projects going Diplopia is a solo project that mixes folk melodies with strong "And he's studying jazz in school but he's also studying theory and composition and there's a lot of beautiful fusion stuff he's doing in his other project (Rattus Rattus.) He's going to be making music that connects a lot of different genre." Erbach said he's looking forward to playing Citizen and very excited to finally have a real rock club in downtown Jersey City "We've played there a couple of times as Din and I did a solo show there when it had just opened," he said "It's wonderful and I'm so grateful that it exists It's great to have a place right in downtown that has a real stage and good sound and some lighting And it seems like they're doing a good job keeping an open mind about bookings and bringing a lot of good bands there so I'm looking forward to a really good night."
