Archaeologists from the UCL Institute of Archaeology and Archaeology South-East will soon be on site at Bodiam Castle
They will be digging for three weeks in the summer
The excavations hope to uncover more information about the history of the landscape around the castle
trenches in Dokes Field to the north of the castle will explore the line of the Roman road that runs through the field
and in Freren Mead to the south of the river
National Trust Archaeologist Nathalie Cohen said “We’ve already undertaken geophysical surveys using magnetometry and ground penetrating radar
which have returned some intriguing results and given us some interesting targets to explore”
Geophysical surveys have already been undertaken
The project is supported by the Hastings Area Archaeological Research Group
The dig will also be a training excavation for students
including some from the Institute of Archaeology
You can visit the excavation as part of a series of events running at Bodiam during the project
including guided tours and opportunities to meet the team

A man who shared heroin with others has been convicted of having drugs for sale or supply
A nine-month prison term was handed down to Patrick Power
Garda David Cosgrave gave evidence that on October 30
There were a number of people in the premises
In a bedroom at the rear of the premises Garda Cosgrave found a man ‘passed out’ on a bed
This was Mr Power.Mr Power handed over a bag of a white substance that the garda suspected to be heroin
cautioned memo was taken from Mr Power at the scene and he signed the garda’s notebook
Mr Power had admitted the material was heroin
The material was sent to Forensic Science Ireland for testing and it was confirmed to be 6.4g of heroin in 28 separate deal bags
Garda Cosgrave arrested Mr Power at St Agnes Road
He was taken to Pearse Street Garda Station for interview.During the interview Mr Power said he didn’t remember being in Kilkenny
He said he must have been under the influence of heroin at the time
Mr Power said he was now on methadone treatment.He also told gardaí that he did not sell heroin but would give it to others
The garda said the defendant did not have an explanation for why the drug was in 28 bags and he did not remember who else was in the house the night it was searched.Garda Cosgrave said Mr Power was not working
and had no answer for how he managed to have €1,000 worth of drugs
In answer to questions from solicitor Chris Hogan
scales or ticklist found in the house during the search.Mr Power told the court he had a brain tumour that was removed and in the last three or four years has suffered from memory problems.He said the drugs were bagged up so he would know to take a bag in the morning
Judge Carthy said that by his own admission Mr Power had supplied drugs to others
She convicted him and imposed a prison sentence of nine months
when Mr Power was first taken into custody.A destruction order was issued for the drugs seized

This answer somewhat surprises Serie, and she tells Flamme that the elven mage is "no good." However, the legendary mage assures her that her apprentice will one day defeat the Demon King and bring an era of peace
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End episode 21 shows Lawine and Kanne demonstrating their spells against Richter
The silver-haired mage casts a thorn of icicle blades
but Richter easily counters it using his earth shield
mentioning how it's almost like "babysitting" them
He then gives them a lecture on the history of magic
explaining why defensive spells don't work against attacks with overwhelming mass
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End episode 21 then shows Richter asking Lawine and Kanne to stay put
The mage girls realize that although it's raining outside
they cannot make use of it due to the protective barrier

announces that only 18 mages (or six groups) passed the first test

revealing how it has been two days since Frieren and Fern went off to the exam
