The real estate fair was described online as a “private closed event.”
Israeli settlements in the West Bank have been a point of controversy since they began five decades ago
Israel's leaders say Jewish people have a historical claim to the land
The United States has had a longstanding opinion against the settlements built on disputed land
calling them “illegitimate." Earlier this year
Israel announced a plan to construct over 3,300 new homes in the Israeli-occupied West Bank
“We are very upset when we see these events selling stolen property
which is unjust," said Rabbi Dovid Feldman of Rockland County
All these crimes against Palestine are wrong
and not just wrong but fueling so much bloodshed
“The Jewish religion is being misused to justify these crimes," he said
"The state of Israel does not represent all of the Jewish peoples."
and the entrance to the parking lot of the event was blocked off
No one from the event would speak with reporters

He confronted the pro-Palestinian protesters
coming face to face with them before police intervened and prevented an escalation
“They are preaching hatred towards Jewish people
and we are here to show our opposition to it," Greiz said
"We are here to show support to the Jewish people and to the people inside.”Greiz said he has been heavily involved in pro-Israel protests
All we want is some recognition and connection to our ancestral land,” he said
who is also part of Jews United Against Zionism
said the concept of Zionism contradicts the Jewish faith and religion
“We are here because we are Jews," he said
"The state of Israel is using my religion for one reason
to justify the crimes against the Palestinian people
All of what Israel and Zionism stands for has to stop.”
who is a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation
said he’s passionate about the protests because “these are issues of settler colonialism
The New Jersey chapter of American Muslims for Palestine organized the protest
originally planned at the Teaneck municipal building before they were moved to where the real estate event was being held
The organization said on social media that "land theft corporations will be hosting an illegal real estate sale of occupied Palestinian land." The group added that "the occupation is actively ethnically cleansing the West Bank."
a resident of South Hackensack who lives a few streets from where the protest occurred
Even though he did not plan on attending the event
he said he agrees with the sentiment of the Palestinian protesters
With regard to the ongoing Israel-Gaza war
he said he feels “people are being desensitized to the killing of Palestinians
similar to how people are desensitized to school shootings.”
Demonstrators on Monday also noted that the real estate event took place on the anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila Massacre
in which over 3,000 Palestinian refugees were killed in Lebanon in 1982
'Stay strong. Survive': After hostage deaths, NJ dad has a message for son held by Hamas
Protesters again collided in Teaneck weeks after the real estate protest
with pro-Palestinian demonstrators facing off with supporters of Israel near the Congregation Bnai Yeshurun synagogue during a ceremony that honored victims of the Oct
The controversy over the West Bank settlements and the selling of property on that land is not new
but tensions have escalated amid the Israel-Hamas war
which started when Hamas attacked southern Israel on Oct
killing nearly 1,200 and taking 250 hostages
schools and infrastructure have been destroyed
Since the war began, violence and settlements have expanded in the West Bank, with Israeli forces killing 634 Palestinians since Oct. 7, and 11 killed by settlers, said the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs
including 13 members of Israeli forces and five settlers
have been killed by Palestinians in the West Bank since the start of the war

The Honda Greiz is essentially a re-skinned City sedan for the Chinese market
In these images released by Dongfeng Honda
the City’s Chinese cousin comes to light
while the height and wheelbase remain the same at 1,477 mm and 2,600 mm respectively
The Greiz’s style involves numerous revisions to the City’s appearance
The front end incorporates a new fascia with finer details
a chunkier front bumper and sharper headlamps
The re-sculpted sides host fresh character lines
while the sharp waist line is shared with the City
the City’s tail lamps have been amplified with new C-shaped LED elements
and a choice of 15- or 16-inch wheels round things off
The interiors of the Greiz are almost similar to the City’s cabin
although an all-black theme with piano black inserts can be found here
along with a slightly revised dashboard design
We’re already familiar with the touch-screen equipped infotainment system
the blue bordered dials on the instrument cluster and the touch controlled automatic climate control
The Greiz is powered by the same a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine from the Citry, which provides 129 hp at 6,600 rpm and 155 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm, driving the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. The Honda City is also sold as the Grace Hybrid in Japan
TITV Greiz is a German business-related research institute for special textiles and flexible materials
the company keeps developing new high-tech solutions
taking the classical textile technology as the basis for new working materials
The institute has produced a variety of textiles
and skiing gloves from which one can make or receive phone calls
Conductive paths for illuminated textiles using light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are usually applied to textiles with weaving or stitching technologies
the very small LEDs are handled with tweezers outside the machine and positioned and contacted manually on the conductive paths with solder or conductive adhesive
the associated inaccuracies and the expenses incurred result in high manufacturing costs
This made manufacture of commercial illuminated textiles very expensive
and hence the entire process was limited to small areas or prototypes
The functional integration of electronics into textiles offers numerous new fields of application
“The most important application of these LED textiles is for making costumes for figure skating champions”
Developments for the integration of new functions provide capabilities for further visions
They are designed for applications in automotive and aircraft construction as well as for solutions in medical engineering
industrial as well as home and protective clothing
The economical manufacture of LED illuminated textiles is possible both for high lot sizes and small numbers of pieces
the automated component feed guarantees exact positioning and improved process reliability for a constant quality
The process flow is repeatable and is not influenced by the operator
Asked about the launch of the company’s new products at Techtextil 2013
Uwe Möhring said: “TITV researchers have come up with some wonderful innovations like light-emitting textiles
they can now attach LEDs to conductive threads using an embroidering machine
They can also solder electrical contacts to the textiles
it could be used for illuminated headliners and interior door panels for automobiles also.”
Besides being washable and highly reliable
the special advantages offered by these textiles include reduced processing time
almost 50 per cent cut in manufacturing cost
consistent product quality and individual design options
The art of paper-making has been practiced in Greiz for more than 400 years. The paper factory in Greiz has been part of the Koehler Group for over 25 years now. The site, renowned for its innovation, produces novel and sustainable products of the highest standard. For example, Koehler Paper produces silphie-fiber-based paper and cardboard grades in collaboration with OutNature
Koehler Group has set itself the goal of producing more renewable energy with its own plants than is required for its paper production by 2030
there is a specific need to set aside space for systems for generating renewable energy
the Koehler Group announced that it was converting its power plant at the Koehler Paper site in Greiz from pulverized lignite to fine wood fraction fuel
The power plant is expected to be opened in spring 2023
Switching from lignite to fine wood fraction will enable savings of more than 24,000 metric tons of carbon emissions per year at the Greiz site
Koehler is investing around 7.6 million euros in the conversion
which is part of the sustainable strategy being implemented at the site
This will bring Koehler even closer to its objective of company-wide decarbonization
The plan is to reduce scope 1 direct greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2030 in comparison to the levels from the base year 2003
The Koehler Paper site in Greiz has already made a start towards this with its pilot system
And there are also concrete plans for converting the existing black-coal-fired power plant at the Oberkirch site to biomass by 2024
with the project to cost Koehler over 70 million euros
The conversion of the power plant is the first step toward increasing sustainability at the Greiz site
Koehler plans to continue investing in the plant in the future
and thereby make a contribution toward sustainable development in Thuringia
Kai Furler, CEO of the Koehler Group
emphasized: “By converting our power plant in Greiz to biomass
we have clearly demonstrated that we have long-term plans for our location in Thuringia
we need support from politicians to continue pushing ahead with our sustainable approach.” In order for us to keep the Koehler Promise 2030
we also need more facilities for generating sustainable energy at the company’s site
“We need designated areas for turbines and photovoltaic parks to generate energy for our production facility,” continues Furler
Politicians are enthusiastic about Koehler’s sustainable company policy and climate strategy
On his last visit to the Koehler Paper plant in Greiz during the fall of 2021
Thuringian Premier Bodo Ramelow said the following: “We need companies like Koehler that are committed and courageous
I’m pleased that Koehler has helped to boost Thuringia’s status as a sustainable business location.”

The Honda Greiz you see in these images will come to India as the 2017 Honda City
So let’s take a closer look at it in this brief design review
the 2017 Honda City facelift will take on the likes of the 2017 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift and the new-generation Hyundai Verna
The front fascia has been duly updated with a new grille that’s larger than before
while being finished in gloss black and underlined by a chrome underlip
pointy headlamp clusters host projector illumination and DRL strips
The overall length and width of the sedan will be increased by 45mm and 10mm respectively
while the height (1477 mm) and wheelbase (2600mm) are likely to remain unchanged
chunky tail lamps with C-shaped LED elements define the rear end of the Greiz
and they’re bridged by a chrome applique
The rear 3/4th view shows the new bodywork’s revised creases
the redesigned rear bumper and a new boot-lid with an integrated spoiler
the dashboard is ever-so-slightly different
with different side HVAC vents and trim inserts
The instrument cluster continues pretty much unchanged
blue ringed job that we’re used to right now
The City’s current infotainment system with a 15.7 cm (6.2″) touchscreen is also likely to be retained on the face-lifted model
The Greiz gets 510 litres of boot space; similar to the current City
The 2017 Honda City will be powered by the same engines that propel it now
That includes a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine good for 119 PS
and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine rated at 100 PS
While the petrol engine will come mated to either a 6-speed MT (new; from the BR-V) or a CVT
the diesel engine will be exclusively paired to a 5-speed MT
The 2107 Honda City facelift’s prices are expected to be slightly higher than the current model
The new City could be priced around INR 8.5 lakh for the base petrol variant
and around INR 13 lakh for the top-end diesel variant
The current model is available within the range of INR 8.20 lakh – INR 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom
The 2017 Honda City facelift will be launched in India early next year
and some reports put it as early as January 2017

A German court has ruled that a mayor was in his rights not to shake hands with a neo-Nazi councillor who claimed he felt "degraded" by the refusal
Gerd Gruner, the mayor of Greiz, a small town in the central Thuringia state, was taken to court after he failed to greet David Kockert, the local leader of the far-right National Democratic Party, (NPD) at the first meeting of a newly elected council last year
Kockert claimed the snub made him feel "degraded as a man" and was also in breach of local regulations, Der Tagesspiegel newspaper reported
Lawyers for the heavily-tattooed politician cited council regulations requiring the mayor to send new councillors off to work with a good handshake
returned by their pledge to diligently carry out their duties
An administrative judge however said that such a stipulation was purely symbolic and thus Gruner
a member of the centre-left Social Democratic Party (SPD)
could have refused the hand to his political rival
Kockert was not the only NPD councillor left empty-handed by a mayor, with similar rebukes reported in other towns including Eisenach, Meiningen, Bad Frankenhausen and Ebeleben, according to The Local

After giving nip and tuck to Amaze and Brio this year
Honda Car India is reportedly working on to launch a facelifted version of its best seller
The new City is expected to enter the market in early 2017
It will feature a design shift in line with the Honda Greiz sedan sold in China
Greiz is based on the current generation of the City sedan and features slightly tweaked styling
The facelift version in the works has been codenamed 2GC and the updates are expected to concentrate on cosmetic appeal
The thick horizontal slat grille that is a part of the new design language of Honda will be left untouched in the facelift
The grille and the newly-designed headlamps will have a more integrated layout
The front and rear bumpers will be tweaked while the rear of the facelift is expected to sport C-shaped tail lamps
The interior of the new City will boast of a 15.7cm touchscreen
the facelift is expected to feature ABS with EBD
The same 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines in the current model will be carried over in new model as well
The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine develops 117bhp and 145Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual and CVT gearboxes
The 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine develops 99bhp and 200Nm of torque mated to six-speed manual transmission
While it is an open secret that Japanese carmaker Honda is readying the facelifted avatar of the popular sedan the City for the Indian market
the company has not been vocal about the development of the new City so far
that does not stop the rumour mills from churning out news about the City facelift
The rumours mills in India have been on a roll for the past couple of months about the City facelift and it is being speculated widely that the City facelift will draw inspiration from the Greiz sedan
Now the latest we hear is that this may not be true and TeamBHP reports that the City facelift
which is expected to be launched in India in early 2017
will take design cues from the new Civic and not the Greiz.
Previous reports have said that while the silhouette of the current model remains the same in the City facelift
there would be several additional features both inside and outside
The City facelift is expected to get 5.7cm touchscreen
automotive sunroof and satellite-navigation system
the City facelift is likely to get the same engine of the current model
the City comes powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that is tuned to churn out 117bhp and 145Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual and CVT gearboxes
and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that can develop 99bhp and 200Nm of torque mated to six-speed manual transmission
The City sedan in its new avatar is expected to come to the Indian market in January 2017
It is no secret that Honda Car India is working to launch a facelifted version of its best seller
apart from the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel power trains
the new City may also get a hybrid powertrain for India
A report in MotorOctane claims Honda Car India is actively considering hybrid engine for India
Honda already sells City hybrid in Japan under the brand name Grace
The Grace hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 108bhp working in tandem with an electric motor that produces 28bhp that draws power from a built-in lithium-ion battery
The hybrid system is mated to even-speed dual clutch transmission
Honda Grace hybrid returns fuel efficiency of 34.8kmpl
new Honda City will be a headache to its arch rival Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in India
The City Hybrid will be around Rs 2 lakh pricier than its regular version
With the car eligible for subsidy under central government's FAME scheme that promotes electric and hybrid vehicles
Honda will be able to price is aggressively
The new City is expected to feature a design shift in line with the Honda Greiz sedan sold in China
The facelift version in the works has been codenamed 2GC
The interior of the new City will get new touchscreen
