Call it a Scandi Summer or the Elsa effect
(Or both.) If it feels like Elsa Hosk and her fashion brand Helsa Studio are everywhere you turn these days
But it’s more than the Scandinavian mystique that seems to be charming the fashion set
As one of her generation’s most popular supermodels
Hosk currently boasts 8.7 million people following her every move on Instagram
Today it’s not enough to be a supermodel or simply a content creator to cultivate a following and become a household name — Hosk is flexing her muscles as an entrepreneur with an ever-expanding empire
while catering to a massive online audience
Hosk’s tenth Helsa drop (called “Scandi Summer”) launched on Revolve and Fwrd
and her Erewhon smoothie of the same name was released
a Skims campaign called “Milky Sheer,” starring the larger than life model
Helsa Studio was first released in September 2022 in collaboration with Revolve Group
and launched on the popular e-tailer and Fwrd’s official e-commerce sites
It’s inspired by her Swedish heritage — “a love letter to Scandinavia — “and is built on simplicity
(Helsa is a play on the Swedish word for health
Hosk, originally from Stockholm, gained international acclaim on the world stage as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, but it’s as the founder of the fashion phenomenon (and always viral) Helsa Studio that she has truly found her calling.
“I'm made for this,” Hosk shared. “I think modeling was the stepping stone — it’s something that I didn't choose or set out to do, and I was trying to learn as much as possible for this part of my life that I'm currently focusing on. So yes, I was always meant to do this.”
Hosk was discovered in her native Sweden and started modeling at the age of 14 — she was always passionate about fashion and sewing clothing. (Her mom knew how to design and sew, and Hosk recalls making a corduroy blazer as early as age 12. She always found inspiration by taking copies of Vogue Russia from her friend’s mother.)
Today, Hosk is Helsa Studio’s only full-time employee — she is involved in every aspect of the brand, from conception and design, to execution, strategy and branding.
Helsa has maintained strong triple digit growth for the past two years and continues to grow aggressively. The drops continue to sell out on both Revolve and Fwrd and have viral standout pieces that sell out within minutes of going live.
Her recent drop follows the same successful momentum. It was shot on an island in Sweden where Hosk grew up, and was inspired by nature and the setting’s colors.

“There's definitely something going on right now in the industry and culture where it's clicking,” Hosk shares. “I think people also dream of a place that is clean, organic and idyllic. It's a dream. I also think anything that's authentic is going to work. I think we see that in celebrity brands today — when it's not authentic, people are just not going to buy or support it.”
In the ultimate seal of celebrity approval, Erewhon teamed up with Hosk to create the limited edition “Blueberry Cobbler Scandi Summer” smoothie.
Sustainability and a love for the earth are key principles of the brand — without greenwashing. But the biggest way Hosk is committed to sustainability is that Helsa is far from fast fashion.
“It’s actually extremely slow!” Hosk states. “My brain is always thinking ahead to the trends while trying to stay timeless, because it's not fast enough to be considered fast fashion. We start working on a drop about a year before it drops — we don't turn things around fast.”
The ultimate perfectionist, Hosk always designs with an eye towards the trends, and ensures that quality and fit are never compromised.
“I still wear those pieces, from the first drop two years ago,” Hosk shares. “That was also the point — to create items that are timeless and not only based on trends, because that's how I like to shop.”
Earlier this summer, Hosk collaborated with brand-with-buzz Heavy Manners on a swimsuit line.
The Elsa Hosk x Heavy Manners collection debuted eight new swimwear prints (prints are what Heavy Manners is known for), inspired and chosen from vintage archives, along with two metallic solids.
Hosk has been a supporter of Heavy Manners and its founder, Lisa Caprio, since its December 2019 launch. The two female founders have developed an authentic and organic friendship.
“We connected over Instagram,” Hosk shares. “We just said, ‘Let's do something together’. It was so spontaneous, fun and easy.”
As for what’s ahead for Hosk: Helsa has three more drops this year (September, November and December).
“I'm so excited for the next phase of Helsa,” Hosk shares. “It takes time to find your path, for any creative. Once you have some confidence while you're doing something that you love, it just gets easier from there.”

If you know me, you know how much I love a good blazer. Whether I’m throwing one over tailored trousers for the office, styling it with lived-in denim for weekend errands
or wearing it as a top with shorts for dinner with friends
a well-cut blazer never fails to make me feel pulled together
And now that cooler temps have (finally) arrived
the best fall blazers pull double duty as the perfect layering piece that adds both warmth and style to any look
This season’s selection of blazers does not disappoint
Want to know which have earned a permanent spot in my fall rotation
Read on for my curated list of the season’s 10 best fall blazers
Featured image from our interview with Molly Sims by Michelle Nash
and the weight of the ANINE BING Quinn Blazer make this piece my top pick for the best fall blazers
It had a permanent spot at the top of my fall fashion wishlist for months before I finally made it mine
and trust me when I say it is 100% worth the splurge
It’s perfectly oversized (I’m wearing the size medium but could have done a small)
but is still light enough to wear over t-shirts and sweaters alike
The green khaki color suits my skin tone well
This blazer will be in my wardrobe forever
and I’ve already styled it with everything from boxer shorts to heels
If you’re not quite ready to invest in an oversized blazer
the Wild Fable™ blazer from Target is an ideal affordable option—and you won’t even be skimping on style
I’m wearing the size small and this jacket looks great with everything from a white tee to that blazer-no-pants look I love
I’ve found that this blazer looks super chic cinched at the waist with a black belt
so while this is definitely one of the best fall blazers
The Bellmere Jacket takes the cake for lapelless blazers because it can be styled so many different ways. I originally fell in love with the jacket styled as a set with its matching skirt and a turtleneck
but I’ve found myself wearing it as a top with nothing underneath
I purchased the size small for a slimmer look
The warm camel color pairs well with denim and winter whites
and the split detail after the buttons has a super flattering effect
And because it can be worn as a jacket and a top
I’ve been eying the Helsa S Curve Jacket since the first time it dropped
and my willpower officially collapsed this fall when I made the purchase
From the second I pulled it out of the box and tried it on
I’m wearing a size small and my waist has never looked so snatched in a jacket
The dramatic shoulder coupled with the hourglass shape is most definitely a conversation starter
I’m planning on styling this blazer with mini shorts and black tights for the holidays
but will be living in it paired with simple blue jeans until then
I’ve been into warm winter whites for fall
but it also comes in black and houndstooth (which I’m actively trying to convince myself I don’t also need now!)
I first saw this Aritzia blazer on my boss, who also happens to be one of the most fashionable people I know, and I immediately added it to cart and checked out. While I’m typically an oversized girl, the tailored look is on trend for Fall 2024 and this purchase perfectly rounded out my collection of the best fall blazers
more affordable alternative to the Helsa S Curve Blazer
While the color I’m wearing is currently sold out
but obsessed with this styling—this is my favorite hack for making an oversized blazer more flattering
A great alternative to high-fashion blazers with a unique single button
I’ve never tried Jenni Kayne outerwear that I didn’t love and there’s something so chic and elevated about this double breasted blazer
J.Crew has most definitely nailed the art of the blazer
and this faux leather version is no exception
and this houndstooth blazer is the perfect pop of pattern to complement the shade

Here's how a break will help your mental health – and gut
Scientists can study how the human brain and body deal with information that people are likely to experience as distressing
We show test subjects a barrage of images or words designed to burden their nervous systems – exactly the sort of stuff we all encounter daily in the news (in fact
some of our most troublesome material comes from news reports)
we see changes in patterns of brain activity that are important for regulating bodily systems
Some changes occur in brain regions that have been dubbed the home of ‘fight or flight’ circuits
but really these regions are more generally important for coordinating and regulating your nervous system
and gushing cortisol as their brains prepare their bodies to act
Even though they are safely tucked away in a comfy lab chair
just imagining an unpleasant event can bring on an electrochemical storm of changes
As an example, my lab studied people’s responses to news stories about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. When the stories contained a higher proportion of negative words, our test subjects reported greater distress
they were also more physically reactive to images of the bombing
like a newly rising infection rate or the perils of governments ignoring carbon emissions
Such feelings arise when your brain works a little harder than
when you encounter news that you expect or that reinforces things you believe
This extra work adds a small burden to your metabolism in the moment
is the price we pay to be informed citizens
particularly with news outlets reporting more negative stories and using more negative words
Negative news is more likely to be shared on social media
which creates an incentive for news outlets to emphasise the negative
producing a positive feedback cycle of yuck
you can find yourself treading water in a sea of badness
Even if you manage to keep the news from infecting your mood
there’s another consideration: your experiences today seed your brain for what you experience tomorrow
the onslaught can shape your overall world view
leading you to expect bad news and act accordingly
So, what should you do? Try taking it in small doses, and afterward, replenish what you spend. Take a walk with a friend. Get a good night’s sleep
You can also give your nervous system a momentary break by consuming positive news
or even negative news that lets in some rays of light amidst the doom
or kindness in the face of adversity can help a person cope
Our test subjects reported less distress when content about the bombings was more positive
They were less reactive to bomb-related images
and better able to distinguish shooters from non-shooters in photos
don’t consume negative news together with food
Stress within two hours of a meal leads your brain and body to metabolise what you eat in a way that adds the equivalent of 104 calories to the meal
There are some celebrities who’s wardrobe I’d do pretty much anything to get my hands on. One such celebrity is Jasmine Tookes, the model come influencer whose elegant style is the stuff Pinterest boards are made of. Another, is of course Hailey Bieber

Wear this suit with a classic tee and loafers for a menswear inspired look
All you need to add is gloves and a pair of killer heels to ensure this dress makes maximum impact
For an elevated take on the cardigan
Distressed leather offers a tougher take on a pencil skirt
Proof that a coat can be the whole outfit, just add jeans and boots
Comfort meets elegance in this floor skimming one shoulder gown
Whether its a birthday or wedding you are attending
this jersey dress in lilac ticks all the boxes
In need of an outfit for your next night out with the girls

I can almost guarantee that all of your favorite influencers
and fashion girls own at least a piece or two from the brand
we all sit in anticipation over the next Helsa drop
trying to order our favorites from the collection before they inevitably sell out
Hosk herself received tons of well-deserved praise for her brand
including receiving Daily Front Row’s Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year award

This gown was the one Hosk decided to wear at her dinner celebrating being named the winner of Daily Front Row's Fashion Entrepreneur of the Year award and launching Helsa's ninth drop
There are a limited number of The Gabrielle Gowns since it's an atelier piece designed in Los Angeles and a favorite of Hosk
peach hue and signature Helsa bow on the back are what do it for me
I was obsessed with how Hosk styled this gown
If you’re looking for a sexy black gown
and when I first saw it on Stella Maxwell as she attended Helsa’s latest dinner
The adjustable neckline and fitted silhouette add a seductive feel to this floor-length
It doesn’t get more romantic than this simple
This was the look Jasmine Tookes chose to wear to Helsa’s dinner
This is the kind of dress I look at and just pray that I find an occasion to wear it to
If anyone has any black-tie events coming up
I also can’t believe this dress is priced under $400
The Stephanie dress is the vixen of the new collection
Lori Harvey rocked it to the Helsa dinner and I have to say her look may have been my favorite
It has this Old Hollywood supermodel glamour feel to it
which is a general theme of the collection
which would be gorgeous if you’re a bride-to-be (or just love wearing white)
I’ve been in the market for a new LBD
but The Yasmin dress is my personal favorite by far
I absolutely must get my hands on this butter-yellow maxi dress for summer
The Eyelet Corset Top and matching skirt (linked below) are the more wearable
I’m a huge fan of a great white set for the summer months
so this pretty two-piece look is already in my cart
pleated tunic is giving me all of the quiet-luxury vibes I was looking for this summer
This gown is just begging to be worn to a black-tie wedding in Italy
I have this belt and don’t know what I would do without it
Perfect for a night out or party in the summer
I’d pair this skirt with the top above
The Camisa Linen Button Down is a Helsa best-seller for a reason
Style these shorts on their own or with the matching shirt above
I have this dress hanging in my closet; I’m just waiting for the perfect summer night to wear it
Elsa Hosk just posted herself wearing this look. I love it.
I’m so obsessed with this shade of beige.
How chic would this bodysuit look paired with the right jeans?
I can’t get enough of powder-blue poplin shirts lately.
Peasant tops always have a special place in my heart.
This dress also comes in white. I want both.
I have this skirt and can’t wait to wear it all summer.

Hot off of the heels of 'Brat Girl Summer' there's a new aesthetic in town and it's being led by none other than Swedish supermodel royalty, Elsa Hosk
The sartorial style muse has unofficially coined it a 'Piratecore Autumn' and we’re honestly kind of here for it, especially with Halloween quickly approaching

Essentially, ‘piratecore’ as a trend is a more elevated, fashion-forward version of Kiera Knightly and Penélope Cruz’s characters in Pirates of the Caribbean

As the 35-year-old model so effortlessly proved
the key to elevating the aesthetic is finding hero staple pieces that you’d usually wear on their own and accessorise with an arm candy delight in the same shade as the rest of the ensemble

Models have always had an innate sense of off-duty style, but Elsa Hosk’s aesthetic is a game-changer thanks to her fashion brand Helsa (think: chic tailoring and slinky silhouettes)
And her latest endeavor — swimwear — is here for your next warm-weather vacation
On June 4, Hosk posted a carousel to Instagram where she rocked a cheeky pink thong bikini on a gorgeous beach to promote her new collection with Heavy Manners
While this particular look caused a stir in the comments for being revealing
The Swedish model posed in the sand wearing an abstract floral print called Not Your Barbie from the Elsa x Heavy Manners collection — which Hosk said is one of her favorites in the caption of the photo dump
she sported the balconette-style top and thong bottoms
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Elsa Hosk look if she wasn’t wearing a statement earring. The Helsa founder donned the oversized pair of vintage YSL heart clip-ons, which she’s been seen wearing on multiple occasions — per fan account, The Elsa Hosk Closet on Instagram
She wore her hair pulled back with a matching scrunchie to keep the earrings in clear view
while the model’s makeup was subtle with a muted mauve lip (so as not to clash with the hot pink bikini)
Her thong set is just one of the colorful printed bikinis in the new collection
And based on Instagram comments from those supporting the line
it’s already on track to being one of the most coveted capsules of the summer
For those who want to get Hosk’s exact style ahead of their next warm-weather vacation
you can find the set on Heavy Manner’s website
if the balconette underwire top isn’t your vibe
there are two different triangle tops available
you can opt for a pair of high-cut or side-tie briefs instead
so you won’t have to worry about harsh tan lines
Aside from Hosk’s hot pink floral motif, there are nine prints and colorways in the lineup, including metallic green bikinis and bow-detailed sets that perfectly align with the coquette micro trend
The brand also included coordinating scrunchies to pull the looks together
Whether you’re open to embracing the barely-there thong bikini yourself this summer or opting for more coverage
there’s no denying that Hosk's look is worth pinning to your mood board
Ever since she was a kid growing up in Stockholm, Elsa Hosk has loved clothes
so much so that she convinced her mom to teach her how to sew so that she could make them herself
she says there was a lot she couldn't find or afford
when the supermodel launched her debut ready-to-wear label Helsa this week
it wasn't her first foray into design—it was just the first time she did it professionally.
who doesn't want to dress in what's essentially Hosk's desert-island wardrobe
"The first collection is inspired by my bag of essentials I'd bring on the islands in the summers," Hosk tells Who What Wear
"You know when you just pack one bag of your favorites

Sweden-based, digital healthcare company, KRY (known as Livi outside of the Nordics) has announced that it has merged with healthcare company Helsa
which operates fourteen health centres across five regions in Sweden
the merger will combine the benefits of digitalisation with physical health centres and enable KRY to treat more symptoms
whilst continuing to provide high-quality care
Helsa is one of Sweden's largest healthcare companies and has around 500 employees located in Halland
The merger will aim to accelerate its physical footprint by taking over the physical centres stationed across the five regions
and Norway and has recently expanded its Livi connect product to Italy
Earlier this year, the company announced a €140 million ($155 million) Series C funding round led by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan’s Teachers’ Innovation Platform and stated that they planned to refine existing product offering and make new digital health hires
The company is backed by some of Europe’s most renowned tech investors including Index Ventures
who also participated in the aforementioned funding
our patients can continue to seek care from KRY digitally
whilst also receiving face-to-face care at more physical care centres in Sweden than we’ve previously been able to offer
This enables us to treat more symptoms whilst continuing to provide high-quality care that puts patients’ choice first.”
said: “Our partnership with KRY will enable us to create an integrated digital and physical care offer
I look forward to working with KRY to deliver tomorrow’s primary care

Jenner has already (nearly) bared it all—even in peak winter
the 28-year-old uploaded her very first Instagram carousel of the new year
looking absolutely radiant in a completely sheer gown that bared her nipples

"Years pass, and they seem faster and faster. Presence and time are all I can ask for," she captioned her Instagram post
Go love on the people you hold close to your heart
Jenner’s cryptic Instagram post possibly refers to her ex-boyfriend Bad Bunny
as they're rumored to have reunited on the island after her friend Renell Medrano shared a now-expired Instagram Story of the Puerto Rican musician wishing everyone on the trip a "Happy New Year."

Below, our shopping guide on where to buy the best affordable dresses online. They all hit the $100 to $300 sweet spot, and we’ll say it’s a really good place to start.
Creative director Charlotte Eskildsen helms the Danish-based brand The Garment, focusing on clean tailoring and knitwear. The knitted maxi dresses are not to be missed—they’re as thoughtfully designed as they are made.
Remain Birger Christensen has become one of those niche brands that make clothes you actually want to wear, without the hefty price tags. Nineties minimalism mixed with a pinch of modern draping results in cool slips and shift dresses that you can layer up with their assortment of tailoring, basics, and more.
Look to Australian label Significant Other’s elevated styles for upcoming getaways and other festivities. Their relaxed shapes, often with bodycon silhouettes and cutout detailing, are flattering to the form and downright cool.
Sydney-based, slow fashion line Posse creates extremely desirable shapes with an elegant, modern feel. You’ll find everything from linen shift dresses to bodycon jerseys, all crafted with a “less is more” philosophy that highlights the female form.
For a touch of utilitarian chic you can wear all year round, think En Saison. The brand’s cotton sundresses are too good to pass up at the moment—like this belted shirtdress and adorable khaki mini. Most styles are under $200, so it’s worth a double look.
Favorite Daughter was founded by sisters Erin and Sara Foster, who dreamt of creating items they wished they had in their closets. The lineup of slinky slips, ribbed knit dresses, and even denim, are super wearable.
Australian roots and a cult following have made Merryn Kelly’s label Third Form an up-and-coming success story. Marrying progressiveness and practicality within each and every design, the brand’s minimalist silk slips are customer favorites.
Out of Barcelona, Paloma Wool offers a laid-back assortment of funky, knit pieces with Spanish influence and craftsmanship. Draped, bodycon silhouettes are their specialty, and this season’s moody masterpieces are nothing short of mesmerizing.
Model Elsa Hosk’s passion project, Helsa, is a contemporary line heavily influenced by her family and Scandinavian roots. Styles like fitted knit dresses and modern evening wear keep customers coming back for more, drop after drop.
By now, you have probably heard of the Nap dress—the smocked silhouette made famous by Hill House Home’s founder Nell Diamond—but the brand also offers a collection of dresses in various silhouettes, that will take you from brunch to a dinner party in no time flat.
Extensive market research and trial and error led stylist Chloé Bartoli to produce Éterne, a seasonless line of highly-crafted essentials. The buttery soft, tube dresses are a mainstay for the brand, coming in a variety of necklines, hem lengths, and neutral colorways.
Mother daughter duo Birgitte and Andrea Herskind focus on timeless silhouettes with the classic, Danish design touch and ecocentric sensibilities. You’ll find everything from organic cotton, T-shirt dresses to viscose maxis you’ll want to wear on the regular.
Fashion is all about playful contrasts, for Copenhagen-based creative directors, Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave. Their line of covetable dresses and ready-to-wear essentials hark on texture, print, and bold color.
Karla Deras’s line of minimalist-centric designs offers sleek yet comfortable styles that accentuate the body. Ethically made in LA, The Line by K is best known for stretch cotton and modal dresses, which take luxe basics to another level.
British label ME+EM was created by Clare Hornby, in order to redefine modern luxury for busy women. There is a simplicity and versatility to every garment, allowing all of these dresses to go from day to night, with a simple change of accessories.
Designed by a sister duo straight out of London, Amy Lynn’s vibrant, party-ready shapes make the brand a must-try. Everything is produced in a family-owned factory in the UK, ensuring an ethical production process, and with most styles averaging around $200, you may just end up snagging a few.
French for sister, Soeur was created by Domitille and Angélique Brion with the hopes of bringing timeless yet relevant wardrobe pieces to women of all generations. Travel-inspired and artisanal details can be seen through their uncomplicated shirt dress silhouettes and satin slips.
Purposeful design and responsible production are at the forefront of Sean Venturi’s vision for Venroy, whose offerings often use eco-friendly fibers and biodegradable elements. Whether a ruffled, party-ready mini or a classic polo style, these dresses are lasting wardrobe staples.
Creative director Katie Kolodinski has been perfecting the art of the ’90s slip dress since establishing Silk Laundry in 2015. The brand’s effortless dresses (made primarily from, you guessed it… silk) were designed to be worn on rotation weekly. Fun fact: Sienna Miller is a noted fan.
Quiet luxury is the essence of the Massimo Dutti brand and has been since its origins in 1985. High-quality fabrics in straightforward shapes make for dresses that you’ll turn to often and will remain in your closet for years to come.
Based in Milan, Emily Levine focuses on timeless silhouettes through a slow fashion process, celebrating artisanal production processes. The results are effortless, airy dresses you will want to wear on every holiday adventure.
Another Aussie brand, Deiji Studios (meaning “daisy” in Japanese), has quickly risen to fame thanks to comfortable, linen and cotton fabrications that blur the lines between loungewear and ready-to-wear. Hypoallergenic, breathable, and biodegradable—what is not to love?
Clean and classic, organic cotton basics are the foundations of Amsterdam-based brand, Flore Flore. Founded by Flòrian van Zuilen, find flattering tank cuts and comfortable shapes that are made to be worn over and over.
D’Ascoli blends both ancient and modern techniques when creating each dress in their design studio in India. Bohemian-inspired silhouettes are made using everything from digital print processes to hand-embroidery, resulting in truly distinct, one-of-a-kind garments.
Dashing hues and vibrant patterns are what make Essentiel Antwerp so unique. Look to the brand for whimsical dresses, inspired by founders Esfan Eghtessadi and Inge Onsea’s love for color and curiosity.
