John married Joan Imbach at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville. They resided in Stetsonville and John worked for Weather Shield
John loved being on the open road on his Harley-Davidson. He and Joanie put many miles on throughout the state and the Midwest
taking in the beautiful scenery. One of his favorite rides was to Rib Falls. Along with knowing a lot about motorcycles
make and model of every car. He enjoyed working on cars and teaching his children how to take care of them as well
He also enjoyed listening to music and chatting on the phone with friends and family
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children

Her mother passed away when she was 3 years old and she was raised by her grandmother Hilda Olson

and always did whatever it took to take care of her children
Ellen was a very talented performer she could sing
Ellen was also a Veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air force as a control tower operator
she did not attend church on a regular basis however every night you could hear her laying in bed saying her prayers and thanking the good lord for all that she had
ALWAYS had her cross necklace on and close to her heart
Ellen was the commander of the American Legion post 208 in Arlington Heights Illinois not only once but 4 times: 1985,2011,2012,and 2017

Wisconsin. Nancy graduated from Medford Senior High in 1977. Following graduation she went to floral design school in Chicago Illinois where she later put her skills to work managing the local flower shop and eventually owning her own business “Silk Creations and Gifts.” She met the love her life Allen Higgins on a blind date and the two were married on September 8
Together they had three daughters (Heather
Megan and Jessie). In their younger days Al and Nancy enjoyed taking their Harley Davidson motorcycle out for rides and even ventured out to Sturgis once
Nancy always had a robust garden and enjoyed canning
making sauerkraut and tending to her beautiful flower beds. Nancy was very talented and was always creating something that she loved to gift. Her latest project was making her loved ones mittens and they will hopefully have enough to keep their fingers warm and remember her forever.
Nancy worked at the High View Inn for many years. She loved serving
the customers and all her co-workers. She also worked for the Medford School District in various rolls. Her last being the lunch lady and eventually retiring after 24 years of service.
Nancy’s favorite job of all is when she became a Grandma
She was the very best Grandma anyone could ask for. She was always available and made them her priority in life. She made the most of the short time she had with them.

After being raised between the Westboro and Wisconsin Dells areas met Robert Pocock Sr and settled down just outside Ogema Wisconsin to raise a family
While being a homemaker she was known for a variety of items from the hobby farm where you could find their beer drinking horse or the house broken pet raccoon and piglet
She and her husband raised many beautiful gardens having potatoes and other vegetables for canning or share with neighbors
During weekends you could find her baking pies for many friends or many loaves of bread and other goodies for the family
After a stroke she spent her final 10 years at Rib Lake Health services being the social bug she got to know many of the staff
residents and their families on a personal level and normally brightened their days
During Ice Age Days you could catch her chasing people down to socialize or sell you a ticket to support the Lions Club
On Sundays you could normally catch her out at a pub with her grandson Edwin watching a Packer or Brewers game

until purchasing a dairy farm in the town of Browning
which he farmed until his retirement. He loved working outside
gardening and mowing the yard. He found peace in nature and the tranquil surroundings of the farm. Not only did he keep busy on his property
and tending to his hobby of coin collecting
Lester’s best moments were spent with family
He loved attending his great-grandchildren’s events and programs
He looked forward to hosting their annual “snow parties” in his basement
Lester is survived by his wife of 62 years

Edward Brandner Jr. together they shared 65 wonderful years and had six children
The newly married couple moved to Milwaukee where she worked at Dutch & Dairy and had their first child. They later moved to Westboro in 1962 where they started raising and growing their family. In 1971
they made the move to Medford purchasing their hobby farm. Rosie did daycare while being a stay-at-home mom to her 6 children. Once her children were grown
she worked at Marathon Cheese until retirement and moved to Tomahawk in 1997.
She continued her love for childcare by providing daycare for some of her grand and great grandchildren in Tomahawk. Rosie loved spending time with her family and camping
She also had many hobbies including gardening
polka dancing and snuggling with her sweet dog Koda
Rosie will be dearly missed by so many. She was known for being one of the most hard-working women
afraid of no task and her love for children
She is survived by her husband Ed of Tomahawk; her children: Mark (Kathy) Brandner

Anne graduated from Medford Area Senior High School in 1996
After completing studies at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in 1998
whom she met at age 16 while working at McDonald’s in Medford
she became an in-home daycare provider for her own children and others
the family purchased the Broadway Theatre where Anne helped in all facets of the business
she became a Teaching Assistant at the Medford Area Middle School working mostly with students in Special Education. In 2017
Anne became Executive Assistant to the Director of Special Education and Student Services in the Medford Area School District
One of Anne’s most precious goals was to be a great mom
She not only succeeded in raising four amazing children of her own
she shared her love and care to everyone she met
Anne would likely be found nearby and could entertain and calm the child with ease
Anne instilled in her four children the values of patience
Her energetic spirit and generosity were hallmarks of her character
leaving a lasting legacy that will be continued by her loved ones in living a life that matters
Anne was passionate about hiking and camping
and especially loved to attend her children’s events to celebrate their talents and accomplishments
She was strong in her faith and served many years as the Sunday School Director at Trinity Lutheran Medford. Anne was a current member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford

she was a member of FFA where she showed dairy cows. Her love for cows was such that she was also a herdsman for the neighboring farms. She had names for each cow and was a true farm girl
she worked in the oven plant at Tombstone until her marriage

and worked as a CNA at the hospital in Medford until 2006 when she retired due to health issues

Gale was not the same after his death and died due to medical issues
Anyone who visited Gale recently knows she loved watching videos of coin-pushing games which she found exciting and satisfying

especially after retirement. She enjoyed learning about and experiencing the culture of the 46 foreign countries she visited. She had a special place in her heart for the people of San Lucas Toliman

Hildegard was born in Medford on September 22
1928. This was the second wedding anniversary of her parents
her parents encouraged her to continually grow in her faith
She attended Medford Public Schools and graduated in 1946 as the class valedictorian.
She received a Bachelor of Education degree with a minor in art from Wisconsin State Teachers College in Stevens Point in 1950
a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1954
and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Colorado. Hildegard taught grade school in Shawano
Wisconsin; served as a demonstration teacher at the University Elementary School in Iowa City
Iowa; the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater; and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She taught methods courses at the University of Colorado in science
and math. At the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
as well as directing aerospace education workshops for eight summers
and most other academic areas. She wrote curriculum and textbook materials for science education. Along with her late sister
she wrote materials for church and vacation Bible school classes.
Hildegard and Loretta expanded and developed the non-profit Kuse Farm Museum and Nature Preserve on the property that had been in the family since 1881
This property includes a nature trail with mindfulness stations
and educational materials to be enjoyed by school and community members
The preserve is protected by an agreement with the North Central Conservancy Trust and overseen by a board of directors.
Kuse was recognized for university service and excellence in teaching at UW-SP. She has also been listed in Marquis “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.” Hildegard was a life member of the National Science Teachers Association
Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford and Trinity Lutheran Church in Stevens Point
the Portage County and Taylor County Historical Societies
and the Chequamegon Bird Club. In 2017
the Taylor County Literacy Council honored Hildegard and Loretta by establishing the HL Kuse Award
to recognize individuals or groups who have developed materials to preserve the rich history of Taylor County. In 2024
Kuse was inducted into the Medford High School Alumni Hall of Fame
Hildegard is survived by extended family including three godsons

he married the love of his life Sue Klinger. He felt he had waited his whole life for her and showered her with daily gifts
even if it was just a little note. Ken’s big heart went beyond just his family and many friends
he was often helping those in need and would literally give you the shirt off his back if you didn’t have one

Working part-time well into his 70’s
Ervin clearly liked to keep busy. He enjoyed heading north to his cabin on Moose Lake near Hayward where there was always plenty to do and where he found contentment in fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed hanging out with his fellow service members at the VFW; grouse hunting; and cheering on the Brewers and the Packers. He was a proud lifetime member of the Medford VFW Post 5729

and will be dearly missed by his wife of 69 years

Darlene took pride in everything she did. Any job she worked she gave her all and it showed. She enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds
and cooking. Her family will definitely miss her dancing in the kitchen and her delicious meals

simple man who enjoyed the outdoors. He and Esther went on many adventures on his Gold Wing
including a few cross country trips and a memorable trip around Lake Superior
and just being outside on his property. He was a loyal patriot and was proud of his country and those who served. His grandchildren will remember how he always made him laugh
either with funny faces or his goofy stories

“Becky” (Henrichs) Mann age 43
1981 in Medford to Steven and Mary (Prell) Henrichs. She graduated from Medford High School in 1999. That same year
she married Shawn Konieczny and together had two children
Shawna and Bryant. They later divorced
Becky attained an Associate’s degree in Agricultural Science from Northcentral Technical College in 2010

as well as also worked at Village Feed and the Western Taylor County Library. She too was a hard worker with boundless energy. She enjoyed landscaping
She has been described as an “over the top Aunt” who loved to spoil all the kids in the family.
Becky and Josh were always together and put God and their family first. They led with their faith every day and grew as a devoted Christian couple
or in their community where they were very active. They were a team in every sense
Not only were they at every game their own children played
they also attended many of their nieces’ and nephews’ events
Both were sports fanatics and enjoyed watching any and all sports
Josh especially loved watching basketball and cheering on the Packers; and when it was time to relax
they enjoyed watching the Golden Girls in the living room together

Sandy was a RN nurse that was very compassionate about helping with taking peoples pain away or helping them deal with their pain. Sandy had worked at Waukegan Development Center
and retired from Medford Hospital.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sandy. She loved scrapbooking
& card making. Spending time with her grandkids
She became a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1994
she was a beacon of strength and independence throughout her life.
From childhood Cyndi was determined to live the life she wanted
even when she was told her cerebral palsy wouldn’t allow it
She carried an unwavering confidence in all of her endeavors
It was at Stetsonville Elementary School where she was provided a place to attend classes like everyone else
Cyndi completed her education at Marshfield High School
graduated from Mid-State Technical College with a degree in travel services
and later pursued her passion for early childhood development at Chippewa Valley Technical College
Cyndi started writing poems when she was just a girl
Her work was included in the 1993 and 1994 editions of The National Library of Poetry
The poems were titled "The World We Live In" and "Tell My Heart"
Cyndi used her talent for memorization and applied her gift of gab throughout her career
Her voice first became well known as switchboard specialist at Target
and she continued using her gifts when she moved on her own to Salt Lake City Utah to work as a Corporate Reservations Coordinator at Holiday Inn Hotel Group
When she returned to Wisconsin she purchased her own building lot
Her last place of employment was as a Patient Appointment Services Specialist at Mayo Clinic Health System
Cyndi approached life with a zeal for God's word
engaging with her online church community and most recently traveled to Texas to attend her favorite online church in person
She was never shy to share her faith and consulted God in all of life’s decisions
Those who will remember her lifetime filled with laughter
and adventurous spirit are her devoted mother

and Ginny helped Gene on the farm while raising their children.

and motherhood was certainly her calling. Along with raising her own seven children
Ginny and Gene opened their home to many foster children over the years. She made it her mission to always have good meals on the table
and over time became an excellent cook and baker
No one ever went hungry. Her loving home became a gathering place for neighbors
friends and extended family. She became a second mother to many neighborhood children
Ginny served on the Medford School Board for three terms while her children were in school
She will be dearly missed by her husband of nearly 66 years
