AKA “ Badger” or “Beaver” 1951 in Medford to Arthur and Edna (Underwood) Pfaff.  He graduated from Medford High School in 1969.  John served in the U.S Army during Vietnam from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1974 John married Joan Imbach at Zion Lutheran Church in Stetsonville.  They resided in Stetsonville and John worked for Weather Shield John loved being on the open road on his Harley-Davidson.  He and Joanie put many miles on throughout the state and the Midwest taking in the beautiful scenery.  One of his favorite rides was to Rib Falls.  Along with knowing a lot about motorcycles make and model of every car.  He enjoyed working on cars and teaching his children how to take care of them as well He also enjoyed listening to music and chatting on the phone with friends and family He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandchildren Noah and Nathan Hustedt and Colton and Jada Surek Harvey Meyer and many other family and friends Joann was preceded in death by her parents; brother Funeral services for Aileen will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday Burial will follow at Leavitt Creek Cemetery Visitation will take place at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home on Wednesday 1930 to Andrew and Anna (Linden) Pitkanen in the Town of Hill She attended Leavitt Creek Grade School and was a 1948 graduate of Westboro High School They returned to Ogema in 1951 where they owned and operated a dairy farm for over 25 years and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren Aileen is further survived by many other family and friends Aileen was preceded in death by her parents passed away peacefully at Rib Lake Health Services where she had been admitted a week earlier A celebration of her life will be held on Monday with Pastor Nancy Amacher officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m until time of service.  Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery I in Medford Hildegard was born in Medford on September 22 1928.  This was the second wedding anniversary of her parents her parents encouraged her to continually grow in her faith She attended Medford Public Schools and graduated in 1946 as the class valedictorian.  She received a Bachelor of Education degree with a minor in art from Wisconsin State Teachers College in Stevens Point in 1950 a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1954 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Colorado.  Hildegard taught grade school in Shawano Wisconsin; served as a demonstration teacher at the University Elementary School in Iowa City Iowa; the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater; and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  She taught methods courses at the University of Colorado in science and math.  At the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point as well as directing aerospace education workshops for eight summers and most other academic areas.  She wrote curriculum and textbook materials for science education.  Along with her late sister she wrote materials for church and vacation Bible school classes.  Hildegard and Loretta expanded and developed the non-profit Kuse Farm Museum and Nature Preserve on the property that had been in the family since 1881 This property includes a nature trail with mindfulness stations and educational materials to be enjoyed by school and community members The preserve is protected by an agreement with the North Central Conservancy Trust and overseen by a board of directors.  Kuse was recognized for university service and excellence in teaching at UW-SP.  She has also been listed in Marquis “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.”  Hildegard was a life member of the National Science Teachers Association Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford and Trinity Lutheran Church in Stevens Point the Portage County and Taylor County Historical Societies and the Chequamegon Bird Club.  In 2017 the Taylor County Literacy Council honored Hildegard and Loretta by establishing the HL Kuse Award to recognize individuals or groups who have developed materials to preserve the rich history of Taylor County.  In 2024 Kuse was inducted into the Medford High School Alumni Hall of Fame Hildegard is survived by extended family including three godsons members of the Kuse Farm Museum and Nature Preserve board contributions may be made to the Kuse Farm Museum and Nature Preserve 2024 with his wife and daughter at his side 1954 in Edgerton to Fred and Beverly (Hargrove) Petersen.  He grew up in Edgerton where he also attended school Ken worked as a car salesman.  His love and knowledge of cars made him an excellent salesman and provided him with his lifelong hobby of collecting and working on cars and hotrods.  He also rode Harley-Davidson motorcycles and throughout his lifetime he married the love of his life Sue Klinger.  He felt he had waited his whole life for her and showered her with daily gifts even if it was just a little note.  Ken’s big heart went beyond just his family and many friends he was often helping those in need and would literally give you the shirt off his back if you didn’t have one Diane; special granddaughter and caregiver Neveah and Amiyah; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers 2025 at Our House Assisted Living in Medford and Fern (Bailey) Graf.  He grew up in Rib Lake where he also attended school From 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954 he married Agnes Gilles at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.  They resided in Medford where Ervin worked as a body and fender repair specialist at Strebig’s Auto (which later became H & H) until his retirement in 1998 Working part-time well into his 70’s Ervin clearly liked to keep busy.  He enjoyed heading north to his cabin on Moose Lake near Hayward where there was always plenty to do and where he found contentment in fishing and being outdoors.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his fellow service members at the VFW; grouse hunting; and cheering on the Brewers and the Packers.  He was a proud lifetime member of the Medford VFW Post 5729 unassuming man of great devotion to his faith and will be dearly missed by his wife of 69 years Bill (Sandra) Graf of Withee; grandchildren Preston and Dominic Heier; and many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law Julian Druffner officiating.  Military rites given by the Medford Area Military Honors Team will follow Memorials are appreciated and may go to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or to the Medford VFW Building Fund 2025 at her home surrounded by family and while under the care of St California to Arthur and Helen (Ortega) Salazar Darlene spent most of her adolescence in Denver where she eventually met the love of her life Dennis Bukovcan.  The couple was united in marriage in 1998 They purchased their first home in Racine in 2005 where they would spend the rest of their lives together Darlene took pride in everything she did.  Any job she worked she gave her all and it showed.  She enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds and cooking.  Her family will definitely miss her dancing in the kitchen and her delicious meals Amari and Nick Jr.; along with many nieces and nephews 2025 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford with Fr 1955 in Medford to Melvin and Irene (Haenel) Frischmann.  He grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1974 he married Esther Miller.  They resided in the town of Medford where they raised their two children.  Gary’s employment began working for Weather Shield then he went into logging with his cousins for a few years before returning to Weather Shield.  He then worked for Hurd Windows simple man who enjoyed the outdoors.  He and Esther went on many adventures on his Gold Wing including a few cross country trips and a memorable trip around Lake Superior and just being outside on his property.  He was a loyal patriot and was proud of his country and those who served.  His grandchildren will remember how he always made him laugh either with funny faces or his goofy stories He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 46 years Randy (Liz) of Medford; brothers and sisters-in-law William (Cora) Miller of Rice Lake; and numerous cousins He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey with Rev Ralph Shorey officiating.  Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with a prayer service led by Pastor Shorey at 7 p.m to conclude the evening.  Visitation will resume at 10 a.m “Becky” (Henrichs) Mann age 43 1981 in Medford to Steven and Mary (Prell) Henrichs.  She graduated from Medford High School in 1999.  That same year she married Shawn Konieczny and together had two children Shawna and Bryant.  They later divorced Becky attained an Associate’s degree in Agricultural Science from Northcentral Technical College in 2010 Mann.  They resided in various places around Taylor County finally settling on a farmstead in Gilman.  Together they had two daughters 1980 in Wausau to Wayne and Nancy (Melaski) Mann.  He graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1998.  as well as a man of God.  He ran his own log trucking business while farming; was on the fire departments for Gilman and Jump River; and most recently elected to the Gilman School Board.  He was usually outside tending to his animals beef cattle and chickens; working on his farm equipment Fix It” could fix or improve anything he worked on and was good at everything.  Each day started with a pot of coffee (which may explain where his energy came from) and stayed home with her children for many years while also being a farmer’s wife.  When she did work out of the home she was a bank teller for many years at Nicolet Bank; and when Vault Village opened in Gilman as well as also worked at Village Feed and the Western Taylor County Library.  She too was a hard worker with boundless energy.  She enjoyed landscaping She has been described as an “over the top Aunt” who loved to spoil all the kids in the family.  Becky and Josh were always together and put God and their family first.  They led with their faith every day and grew as a devoted Christian couple or in their community where they were very active.  They were a team in every sense Not only were they at every game their own children played they also attended many of their nieces’ and nephews’ events   Both were sports fanatics and enjoyed watching any and all sports Josh especially loved watching basketball and cheering on the Packers; and when it was time to relax they enjoyed watching the Golden Girls in the living room together Josh with his coffee and Becky with her double-stuffed Oreos memories and legacy will live on through their four children Steven and Mary Henrichs of Medford; children The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hope Hospice for their compassionate care Memorials will be designated at a later date Sandra “Sandy” Leigh Limbo (Vogel) 2024 at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with heart issues & cancer at Marshfield Medical Center Wisconsin to parents of Ralph Henry & Dorothy Lorraine (Wackrow) Vogel She is survived by her loving husband Dean Robert Sr and three sons David Jon (wife Jill & grandson’s Joshua & Jacob) Sandy is also survived by her sister Vickie (husband Jerry) Ernst.  Sandy is proceeded in death by her brother Terry (wife Judy) Vogel.  Sandy was married for years to her soulmate Dean Sandy was a RN nurse that was very compassionate about helping with taking peoples pain away or helping them deal with their pain.  Sandy had worked at Waukegan Development Center and retired from Medford Hospital.    The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Sandy.  She loved scrapbooking & card making.  Spending time with her grandkids She became a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1994 she was a beacon of strength and independence throughout her life.  From childhood Cyndi was determined to live the life she wanted even when she was told her cerebral palsy wouldn’t allow it She carried an unwavering confidence in all of her endeavors It was at Stetsonville Elementary School where she was provided a place to attend classes like everyone else Cyndi completed her education at Marshfield High School graduated from Mid-State Technical College with a degree in travel services and later pursued her passion for early childhood development at Chippewa Valley Technical College Cyndi started writing poems when she was just a girl Her work was included in the 1993 and 1994 editions of The National Library of Poetry The poems were titled "The World We Live In" and "Tell My Heart" Cyndi used her talent for memorization and applied her gift of gab throughout her career Her voice first became well known as switchboard specialist at Target and she continued using her gifts when she moved on her own to Salt Lake City Utah to work as a Corporate Reservations Coordinator at Holiday Inn Hotel Group When she returned to Wisconsin she purchased her own building lot Her last place of employment was as a Patient Appointment Services Specialist at Mayo Clinic Health System Cyndi approached life with a zeal for God's word engaging with her online church community and most recently traveled to Texas to attend her favorite online church in person She was never shy to share her faith and consulted God in all of life’s decisions Those who will remember her lifetime filled with laughter and adventurous spirit are her devoted mother Carlo Petersen and Brent Gust;
