Ifeoluwa Adebayo $(document).ready(function(){(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({})}); philosopher Henri Hude talks about some of the theses of his book "Philosophy of War" (not translated into English) Former student of the prestigious École Normale Supérieure, Henri Hude is a professor of philosophy at the military school for officers of the French army (Saint-Cyr). His latest book, "Philosophy of war"resonates for religions as a call for a philosophical and spiritual leap to build the peace of tomorrow's world – Supernatural war total implies the use of all available means it would lead to the destruction of humanity The terrifying possibility of such destruction gives rise to the project of abolishing war as a condition for the survival of mankind it is necessary to institute a single world power But plurality can always be reborn: by secession the security of the world requires more broadly the destruction of all power apart from the Leviathan It is necessary not only to put an end to the plurality of political and social powers but also to destroy all other powers: spiritual We are beyond a mere project of universal imperialism This Orwellian-Nazi project is so monstrous that it has a paradoxical consequence The universal Leviathan becomes the common enemy number 1 of all nations guarantees the lasting alliance of former enemies Religions and wisdom are the main guarantee of freedom and peace because it is part of this logic of peace for an anti-Leviathan alliance to become Leviathan is always the temptation of every power in this world first and foremost a fundamental concept of political science But it finds a terrible application in the political and cultural choices of Western The "woke" ideology is a machine for making subhumans the liberal state into a police surveillance state Such imperialism is both abominable and dysfunctional except in the oldest and most controlled Western countries The Pope is right to prepare for the future the strategy of the Leviathan is to spread everywhere the most violent and sectarian See how they take advantage of NATO's failures in Ukraine to get rid of the Leviathan It is not at all about creating a single syncretic religion because low-end relativism is the first principle of the culture of subhumans that the Leviathan wants to inject in everyone to dominate everything dictatorially This gives rise to friendship and friendly conversation between people sincerely seeking God not to pseudo "interreligious dialogue" between clerics or modernist secular intellectuals relativistic and blamed to the bone by the Leviathan you have to start by putting your own house in order if we French Catholics do not have ambiguous relations with political power we sometimes blame ourselves by apologizing for existing in the public sphere If the "woke" culture were universally imposed it would be the loss of all souls and the end of all decent civilization Resistance to the imposition of the "woke" culture can be a cause of just war and it is for this reason that the soft power of the West is evaporating at great speed This is without prejudice to the justice due to Ukraine and charity among Catholics I want to ask you: is cowardice inherent in Christianity Christ said that He did not come to bring peace on earth He also says that He vomits out the lukewarm there would be nothing to change if the word "God" were replaced with the word "fluff" In his book "Ecumenical Jihad," Peter Kreeft (pp.41-42) writes: "It took a Muslim student in my class at Boston College to rebuke Catholics for removing their crucifixes." "We don't have pictures of this man even if someone tried to force us to do so But you are so ashamed of him that you remove him from your walls You are more afraid of what your enemies may think if you keep your crucifixes than what He may think if you take them down So I think we are better Christians than you are." To be ashamed of Christ we call it respect for freedom We believe that we have opened ourselves to the world when we have abdicated all evangelical freedom when we are only participating in this lamentable evolution which Solzhenitsyn called the "decline of courage" you have to be able to resist the Leviathan Bismarck put thirty bishops in prison and in the end had to abandon the Kulturkampf I do not know what the Pope was referring to The expressions "true Islam" and "proper interpretation" raise very difficult problems and the phrase can be given very different meanings in which he displays a truly impressive erudition He believes that he must interpret the phrase as if the Pope were speaking as a historian of ideas But I believe that the Pope is not speaking as a historian of ideas these are subjects to which thePetrine charism of infallibility) The Pope is neither Machiavellian nor ignorant we must distinguish between force and violence All great religions and wisdoms oppose all violence All societies have the right to self-defense If any use of armed force were morally forbidden for any society in all circumstances it would be morally obligatory to suffer any aggression morality would compel us to obey even perverts who would like to destroy all moral principles societies have a right and sometimes a duty of self-defense Some abuses understand no language except force So you draw a red line in front of them on the ground "This line means that I would rather risk my life and suffer than suffer what you want to impose on me you will have to risk your life and suffer." OPINION: Hyde's comments to officer more despicable than originally thought Sarasota congressional candidate allegedly threatened to 'end' cop's career during traffic stop it was a Sarasota Police officer who was doing nothing more than her job I admit that I did expect the reception that I get from most local cops which is a positive one because I have fought – in my aggressive manner – on their behalf on everything from officer pay to internal affairs matters At the point when I realized that my rather silly statement – “Do you know who I am?” –  wasn’t going to work instead of restraint and a little humility it was righteous indignation that ran through my veins The result was a video that showed me at my rather pathetic worst and for which no apology or explanation is likely to be accepted. Nor should it be. However I will say this one more time for posterity: because I got caught. I am sorry because I let so many people down I am sorry because I let down all of the people who supported me – people who had reasonably hoped that I had learned my lesson from before I am sorry because in a democracy without congressional term limits I have taken away the opportunity for people to make changes in a stagnant system that rewards incumbency over innovation and true local representation I was prepared to use my limited resources to mount a congressional campaign based on equity as opposed to elitism – which is the irony of the manner of my demise I hope that the hundreds of calls that I got on my cellphone – from all over the United States – telling me what a fat entitled person I am will not only get me back to eating properly but to also be mindful that it is how we are at our worst that defines our progress as adults But with God’s guidance I hope that I will get better over time I will end on a positive note – positive in terms of being liberating because I will not be constrained by towing the party line going forward.  The Sarasota County Republican Party is controlled by a small group of self-appointed elites and special interests that I have never liked – and now I can say that.  All of the current statehouse representatives influential families who used their money to get them into office All of them crave higher office despite doing nothing to have earned the elected offices that they now hold And until we do something about this form of elitism my childish behavior will pale in comparative importance.  One last thing: Vote “No” on the March 8 ballot issue that seeks to eliminate single-member districts in Sarasota County as it would only benefit property developers who are the biggest donors to the Sarasota County Republican Party.  Martin Hyde is a Sarasota businessman and a former Republican Party candidate Preliminary Final the Lions faced the tough task of tackling a Werribee side who had only lost one game since Round 5 the Lions controlled much of the contest in the first and third terms kicking with the breeze but were unable to capitalise on their dominance booting 4 goals Werribee were able to run over the top with the wind in the final quarter winning 10.6 (66) to 6.10 (46) A bright start saw Academy product Liam Hude boot the opener to give the Lions the upper hand before Werribee responded with a major of their own Inaccuracy plagued the Lions the opening term kicking three minor score Dom Brew going head-to-head.  Lyons finished with 28 touches, nine clearances and eight tackles to be one of Brisbane’s best on the day.  Joining him was Deven Robertson who fought hard all day, gathering 24 disposals but made a whopping game-high of 16 tackles.  Kicking against a strong breeze in the second, the Lions made it a contested battle, Werribee were able to get forward of centre and boot two goals.  Will McLachlan ensured the Lions were close at the half-time break kicking truly to trail by only one-point at the half.  Henry Smith was a standout in the ruck, up against some stiff competition he toiled hard all day winning 53 hitouts, eight clearance and affecting 13 tackles in an all-round performance.  The third term belonged to the Lions but they rued missed opportunities in front of goal as the wind played havoc.  Brandon Ryan got the Lions off to the perfect start after half-time, despite dominating possession and inside 50s, Werribee’s defence only conceded two rushed behinds before they booted a goal of their own.  VFL debutant and Lions Academy product Ty Gallop kicked his first major at state level in what was a strong performance and battled hard all day.  Four behinds to finish the third quarter kept Werribee within striking distance as they turned for home holding an 11-point advantage.  Two goals inside the first 10 minutes saw the Lions on the back foot earlier in the last term, Liam Hude’s second ensured the Lions kept pace with Werribee before the floodgates opened.  The Tigers kicked the last three goals of the game to run away 20-point winners, ending the Lions season for the second straight year.  Bruce Reville was strong all day playing primarily in the midfield collecting 18 possessions and making 14 tackles.  The Lions qualified for their third consecutive Preliminary Final, highlighting the strength of the Clubs’ VFL program, in VFL coach, Ben Hudson’s second season in charge.  Goals: Hude 2, Ryan, McLachlan, many suburban shopping strips that are reviving as people shop and spend locally In Melbourne’s affluent south-eastern suburbs the vacancy rate on High Street Armadale – famous for its bridal shops fashion boutiques and cafe culture – has more than halved in two years to just 2.3 per cent according to Fitzroys’ 2024 Walk the Strip Report It’s one of 26 Melbourne suburban retail strips – more than 70 per cent of the 37 surveyed this month by the commercial real estate agency – where vacancy rates are running below their long-run average Other well-known strips where vacancy rates have fallen sharply recently include iconic fashion destination Chapel Street South Yarra (down to 7.1 per cent from over 20 per cent four years ago) Collingwood (down to 3.2 per cent from over 8 per cent two years ago) and grungy St Kilda haunt Acland Street (down to 9.4 per cent after peaking at almost 15 per cent three years ago) It’s a similar story in Sydney’s eastern suburbs with health food stores frozen yoghurt chains and sashimi bar operators leasing up shops in Paddington’s Oxford Street and Gould Street managing director of Ray White Commercial eastern suburbs the number of vacant shops is nowhere near what it used to be five years ago,” Mr Toltsan said Fitzroys associate director James Lockwood said the biggest driver of the revival of retail strips was the work-from-home trend “This has supported suburban business as greater numbers of Melburnians go to their local villages to get a coffee go to the gym or do a pilates or yoga session or get their hair and nails done,” he said Mr Lockwood said work-from-home coupled with population growth and the completion of new residential apartments above or near retail strips were strong motivators for hospitality businesses to open new premises “Gaps are being identified in the market and new food concepts from places like Hong Kong and elsewhere are being brought to these strips,” Mr Lockwood said who has operated high-end wine merchant Armadale Cellars on High Street Armadale for almost three decades – and survived the “rollercoaster ride” of high vacancy rates and the catchcry that shopping strips were “dead” – said work-from-home had been a big positive for the strip Rather than getting into Maseratis and driving into town “At 2pm they’re heading down to the High Street to buy a bottle of wine and get ingredients for dinner.” but it’s not happening everywhere,” Mr Hude said This is borne out by the Walk The Strip report Richmond continue to struggle with vacancy rates of 14 – 15 per cent said there was “huge foot traffic” on the strip compared with a year ago but also nearby office workers coming into our cafe The pick-up in foot traffic has encouraged the likes of Queensland fashion label Dissh Lune Croissanterie and boutique grocers The Leaf Store to open up on the High Street This is despite rent surging to up to $2000 a square metre for prime spots making it Melbourne’s most expensive retail strip ahead of Church Street Brighton (the country’s tightest retail strip with a 0.7 per cent vacancy rate) where retail rents average $1300 to $1400 per square metre On recovering Chapel Street in South Yarra a greater willingness by some landlords to downwardly adjust rents and offer more flexible leasing terms has helped lease up vacant shops “Ten years ago you were paying $1500 per square metre Mr Lockwood said high vacancy on Bridge Road – particularly between Punt Road and Church Street – related to this part of the strip “still finding its identity” following the exodus of discount fashion outlets that dominated it The much lower 7.2 per cent vacancy rate on the Church Street to Burnley Street eastern end of Bridge Road was being driven by hospitality (WHO-FIC) annual meeting and conference, hosted by the Cumming School of Medicine’s (CSM) O’Brien Institute for Public Health earlier this month at the Banff Centre The theme for 2019 was Health Information Meets Health Informatics to coincide with the release of the International Classification of Diseases 11th revision (ICD-11) ICD is the global standard for classifying and reporting health conditions and diseases and the 11th edition upgrades the classification system for use in digital environments.  “In health care, we collect so much data, but collection is only one part,” says Dr. Hude Quan, PhD, director of the O’Brien Institute WHO Collaborating Centre for Classification “We need to turn this information into usable knowledge and health informatics makes this possible.” In the photo above Quan addresses the crowd at the conference.  The WHO-FIC Network includes collaborating centres update and promote the implementation of WHO health classification systems The O’Brien Institute was recently re-designated a WHO Collaborating Centre — in large part due to the central role its researchers have played in the development It is far more comprehensive and digitalized than its predecessor ICD-11 also has potential to be integrated into electronic health records such as Connect Care in Alberta to code patients’ medical histories This coded information could then be used for precision medicine and precision public health Delegates from 58 countries attended WHO-FIC 2019 “Not only have we been working in partnership with the WHO on classification but eHealth and the integration of health information is an O’Brien Institute priority,” says Dr “Hosting this meeting is a convergence of many of our initiatives and many of our people.” ICD-11 was adopted at the WHO World Health Assembly this spring, giving the green light for countries around the world to begin planning its implementation. Given the work Cumming School of Medicine researchers have done on ICD-11 says this was a good year to bring the conference to Alberta “Our collaborating centre here in Calgary has a long tradition in analyzing and studying coded data and has been incredibly supportive in the development of WHO classifications and terminologies It is an important knowledge hub in our WHO-FIC family,” says Kostanjsek Bringing together more than 250 delegates from around the world WHO-FIC featured several days of strategic meetings as well as a conference component with international keynote speakers who talked about harnessing data for use in precision medicine Another presentation from the director of the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality focused on what all of this digital health information could mean for improving patient care Representatives from WHO sites around the world also gave updates on ICD-11 implementation who is the primary investigator on one of the largest ICD-11 trials to date — using full hospital records to test the new coding system “As the world moves towards implementation of ICD-11 there are some guidelines for success that we discovered from our study involving coding 3,000 hospital charts,” says Eastwood Allowing sufficient time to learn and practice using ICD-11 coding is one of the recommendations Eastwood and her team have for countries working to implement the new system Eastwood also recommends face-to-face training with the opportunity to practise the complex coding system with coding experts Eastwood and her colleagues at the O’Brien Institute’s WHO Collaborating Centre are building a framework and interactive tool for estimating the cost for the provinces implementing ICD-11 this tool will be available for all countries to use for estimating the cost of moving to ICD-11 This information could be used by governments or decision-makers to pave the way for ICD-11 in their country The next WHO-FIC meeting will take place in Thailand in 2020 Dr. Hude Quan, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the CSM, a member of the O’Brien Institute for Public Health and the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta Dr. William Ghali, MD, is a professor in the departments of Medicine and Community Health Sciences, scientific director of the O’Brien Institute for Public Health, and a member of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta at the CSM is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the Cumming School of Medicine and a member of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta The annual meeting of the WHO Family of International Classifications Network took place in Banff Read more Read more Read more Read more Read more Vivian Silvestri: 215-949-4161; email, vsilvestri@calkins.com Haneen DajaniUAEJune 06 The Brisbane Lions VFL side are off the perfect start holding off Collingwood by 2-points at Brighton Homes Arena on Good Friday In a game full of momentum swings, it was the Lions who shot out to the early lead thanks to Kai Lohmann and Logan Morris Lohmann booted four goals for the match and stood tall in the last quarter finishing with 16 touches six marks and eight tackles in an all-around performance Six goals to two in the first quarter ensured the Lions held a 27-point advantage at the opening break The Lions midfield was on top early through J. one straight kick at the main break.  Draftee, Morris, was the pick for Brisbane at the halfway mark and would finish with 3 goals and 9 marks.  In a complete swap of the quarter previous, it was Collingwood who opened the scoring but the Lions answered with momentum of their own.  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brisbane Lions 🦁 (@brisbanelions) Dunkley booted his second and Brighton Homes Arena for 2024 taking on Collingwood on Good Friday Collingwood have gone down to Footscray by 72 points in their VFL clash at Victoria Park It’s the Pies’ second loss of the VFL season with their first coming by a single point in their Good Friday clash against Brisbane With several AFL-listed players from last week’s match on senior duties their absences paved way for three debutants to don the black and white for the first time It was Murphy who kicked the first for the Pies with the North Albury product getting the crumb and finishing with class The Dogs showed their bite in the opening quarter however only allowing the Pies just the one scoring opportunity while they had nine of their own Footscray were only able to convert on three of them The Pies were able to show more of their spark in the second quarter however with Josh Browne putting two goals to his name Despite Charlie Dean and VFL captain Sam Glover each had five intercept possessions in the backline Liam Hude managed to add to the Collingwood tally as did Iliro Smit after kicking a monster goal after the siren to bring the deficit to 25 points at half time Neither team were able to capitalise in the third That was until Hude finally broke the stalemate with a late swing to his kick giving the Pies another six points to their score Liam Hude threads the needle in Collingwood's ladder following their loss to Collingwood in the last home and away fixture for the season After conceding a goal late in the third term the Lions were never able to retake the lead losing by eight points 11.11 (77) to 10.9 (69) The Magpies burst out of the blocks booting the first three goals of the game to jump out to an early 20-point lead Will Martyn kicked the Lions opener and he’d have two before quarter time while Noah Answerth booted one to bring the margin back to only two points at the first break The Lions midfield was able to get to work late in the opening term thanks in a large part to Jarryd Lyons who was enormous all day Enjoy Jarryd Lyons' standout VFL performance for Brisbane the reigning J.J Liston Medallist showed his class Taking their momentum from the back half of the first term, the Lions kicked away quickly in the second thanks to Darcy Fort and Kyle Dunkley The Magpies were able to respond in what turned out to be a reversal of the first quarter kicking Collingwood were able to answer as both sides traded goals courtesy of Lions mid-season rookie Darcy Craven A Collingwood goal at the 32-minute mark of the quarter became a clear turning point in the game with the Lions unable to regain the lead in the final term Two Magpie goals to start the fourth quarter pushed the margin out to 14 points, the Lions looked to mount a comeback as Luke Lloyd slotted his first major for the afternoon but Collingwood was able to hold on. consecutive matches in Rounds 9 and 11 Those performances were part of an eight-match winning streak through the middle of the season that set them up for another top four finish Jarryd Lyons was still a star of the competition Liston Trophy voting after winning the award in 2024 Meanwhile the three mid-season draftees – Will McLachlan Luke Beecken and Darcy Craven – all proved to be VFL guns and played a huge role in driving the Lions to the preliminary final Liam Hude and Jack Manly showed plenty while the experienced Kyle Dunkley and Ewan Macpherson held up their end of the bargain The fact they didn’t have a forward boot more than 26 goals for the year was a credit to their depth What went wrong: The Lions would be disappointed with the way the season finished losing a third-successive preliminary final after going down to Werribee at Avalon Airport Oval for the second year in a row This year’s defeat was the closest they have come to breaking through for a Grand Final appearance after leading by 11 points at three quarter time before conceding six goals to one in the last term They would also be stinging at being thrashed by the Suns in both QClashes Dropping the last game of the season to struggling Collingwood at the AIA Centre cost them two home finals and probably a proper shot at the premiership Summary: A third-consecutive preliminary final exit can be looked at two ways for the Lions There is the obvious disappointment of not being able to take the next step but also the achievement of consistently making the last four in a powerful 21-team competition despite travelling almost every second week The Lions were clearly in the best three teams and probably would have made the Grand Final had Darcy Craven’s effort after the siren made the distance in the qualifying final against Footscray the horrible inaccuracy against North Melbourne early in the year and the Round 21 shock loss against Collingwood are the ones that will burn deepest first Smithy’s VFL Grand Final between two standalone clubs in the AFL reserves/alignment era with hard-fought preliminary final victories over star-studded opponents in horrible conditions on Saturday Not since Springvale defeated North Ballarat in 1999 the last year of the AFL Reserves competition have two teams with no links to AFL clubs played each other for the VFL premiership Port Melbourne played the Roosters in 2008 and Williamstown in 2011 but the latter pair were aligned to North Melbourne and Western Bulldogs respectively during those seasons Here’s how they did it in wild weather that saw howling winds driving rain and even sleeting hail at both grounds WERRIBEE                                      1.2        3.5        4.5        10.6 (66)SOUTHPORT SHARKS            2.4        3.4        5.10     6.10 (46) WERRIBEE will play in back-to-back Grand Finals for the first time in its history after overrunning the Brisbane Lions by 20 points in a wet and windy Smithy’s VFL first preliminary final at Avalon Airport Oval on Saturday The Tigers survived a kick after the three quarter-time siren from Lions debutant Ty Gallop but still trailed a genuine to-and-fro battle by 11 points heading into the last term And even though they were set to have the wind their backs in the final quarter they were against the wall having only managed nine scores to that stage But Hudson Garoni showed terrific presence of mind to have a contested mark disallowed but quickly throw the ball on his boot and dribble it through traffic in the third minute and the Tigers went on the hunt grabbing the lead through an ice-cold Jack Henderson set shot in the eighth minute In a pressure-packed final quarter where easy disposals were impossible to find Jake Smith extended Werribee’s lead with a brilliant left-foot snap as a hailstorm bombed the oval and sent fans scurrying for cover Impressive young key Liam Hude got it back immediately for the Lions but that was their last hurrah as Sam Paea (twice) and Garoni hit the target in time-on to deliver Werribee its shot at redemption after the devastation of last year’s loss to the Gold Coast Suns It was the Tigers’ second consecutive preliminary final win over the Lions and consigned the visitors to their third consecutive exit in the penultimate week of the season The Tigers have never played in two Grand Finals in a row but that will be the last thing on their mind as they aim to convert their first minor premiership since 2005 into a second flag and first since 1993 Werribee outlasted the Lions with the more direct footy – disposals were even but the Tigers had 26 more kicks as they just tried to keep the ball going forward against the fierce pressure of a Lions team that laid a remarkable 110 tackles The Tigers and Lions clash in the first preliminary final Acting captain Dom Brew starred all day in conditions perfectly suited to his fierce contest game but lifted his team onto his shoulders in the last quarter on his way to 28 disposals (19 contested) eight clearances and 15 crunching tackles to be best afield one goal) continuing the best year of his career six marks) were terrific in defence and centre half-forward Nick Hayes (17 disposals one goal) did well as the link up to get the ball in for Garoni (six marks Ruckmen Sam Conway and Henry Smith got through a power of work for their teams in the stoppage heavy contest who is one of the favourites to go back-to-back on Monday night announced his retirement last week and couldn’t have done any more to stretch his career by another also worked himself into the ground while Academy tall Gallop showed some signs on a surprise debut with eight of his nine touches being contested and including a goal wingman Harry Sharp and key back Darragh Joyce when all three were taken to Sydney as carryover AFL emergencies the Lions could not afford anything to go wrong and it did when one of the three late inclusions in Tristen Meekin was a remarkable maiden Smithy’s VFL premiership after a third-quarter blitz set up an upset 10-point victory over Footscray in the second preliminary final at Mission Whitten Oval Crossley monstered inexperienced Bulldogs Lachlan Smith and Cameron Owen and forced their coach Stewart Edge to turn to veteran swingman Ryan Gardner in a bid to curtail his influence But the second-generation gun’s class was evident as he piled up a stunning 71 hitouts rucking virtually one out with expert taps releasing superstar mids Boyd Woodcock and Jacob Dawson ad nauseum His dominance saw Southport win hitoutst 75-42 and clearances 57-43 in the stoppage heavy contest The Sharks held a six-point lead at half-time in cold wet and windy conditions far removed from what they are used to and indeed what they encountered in their two previous finals against Frankston and Geelong It looked like the weather Gods were well and truly against them when a fierce hailstorm swept over the ground in the opening minute of the third term as they prepared for their second shot at kicking with the strong breeze But what happened next was the stuff of a genuine flag contender as they not only slogged their way through the blinding and stinging hail The Sharks produced a match-winning five goals to one blitz to blow the margin out to 29 by the final change with the four unanswered majors from Jack Sexton Hugh Dixon and Woodcock being the game breakers The Bulldogs and Sharks clash in the second preliminary final who hadn’t been out of the top three all year and will still finish in that lofty group threw everything at Southport in the last quarter but the Queenslanders held firm to advance to a second Grand Final in three years missing their first five opportunities before Campbell Lake showed perfect small forward craft to break the drought in the 23rd minute Footscray got itself into the contest in the second term but every time it managed a goal – to Lachlan McNeil Diesel Moloney and Dan Orgill – Southport responded almost immediately through Keegan Gray six tackles) had a field day in a game where possession was otherwise dominated by Footscray The Bulldogs had 10 of the top 14 ballwinners as they went +65 in disposals but the Sharks’ pressure meant most of that discrepancy came in handballs who moved north after winning Coburg’s best-and-fairest last year has reinvented himself from a midfielder into one of the best small defenders in the competition and produced another strong display for 21 disposals veteran Mike Manteit (16 disposals) showed plenty of leadership and Lockhart and Dixon presented well and kicked two goals each from limited opportunities First-year player Joel Freijah was terrific on VFL finals debut for Footscray while veteran Jason Johannisen’s trademark dash was back on his way to 26 disposals Young midfielders Cooper Craig-Peters (25 disposals 11 tackles) and Riley Garcia (25 disposals nine rebounds) completed a terrific second season in defence nine tackles) made an impact after a slow start and Gardner (15 hitouts) did better than those numbers suggest as he slowed Crossley’s dominance in the Bulldogs’ last-quarter
