Coachbuilt Corvettes are a dime a dozen these days, but only a select few builds manage to stand out from the crowd. The most recent Corvette-based proposal to pop up in the news is the new SC-1 from Endora-Cars
a municipality in the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen in Bavaria
seeing that the SC-1 captured the attention of you
our readers (albeit in a sort of love-it-or-hate-it kind of way)
we came in contact with Endora Cars and asked their spokesman
a few questions about their Corvette-based build
Follow the jump to read our Q&A session with Marek
Carscoop: When should we expect to see the real-life version of the Endora SC-1
Björn Marek: As soon as we have found enough interested buyers for the SC-1
Björn Marek: It will be made to order
directly to the customer’s detailed wishes
Björn Marek: The body and details will be built in Germany
Carscoop: Is the SC-1 powered and based on the Corvette platform as well
Björn Marek: It is based on the current
Carscoop: Could you provide us with a starting price estimate for the production version of the SC-1
Björn Marek: A rough price estimate – not for the first prototype but for every following car – would be approximately €130,000 (equal to $185,000 at the current exchange rates)
have visited Germany as part of the Comenius Project
the teachers of each group will bring the students closer together and teach them about the history
Suitable scenes from the five countries will be compiled into a common calendar
a Website with information on the work carried out by each school is being built
and a song will be jointly written by all the teams involved in the project
In Germany the teachers from each country attended meetings where they discussed the programme for this year and exchanged students' material
The project has given the students a sense of initiative and an opportunity to work as a team
and to form friendships by corresponding with students from the member countries
A number of students are looking forward to next May when they will be visiting their counterparts in Lodi
There they will be able to share their assignments with their peers and plan their work for the coming year
