Bayern Munich went into Saturday's clash with RB Leipzig knowing victory would seal this season's title with two games spare
Bayern Munich shared the spoils with RB Leipzig after a cracking game
which saw Bayern go 2-0 down thanks to goals from Benjamin Šeško and Lukas Klostermann in the first half
The second half saw a rejuvenated Bayern draw level with two successive goals courtesy of Eric Dier and Michael Olise
Bayern seemed to have wrapped the title up after a comet of a shot from Leroy Sané put them ahead in the most incredible fashion
only for Leipzig’s Yussuf Pouslen to level the score and spoil the party
Here are some observations from that rollercoaster of a game
the first half saw a disgraceful performance from Bayern
Bayern seemed like they had no plan for the game
The first Leipzig goal was embarrassing to watch as fans
and put on full display a mortifying error from Jonas Urbig
worsened by a complete lack of communication amongst the defence
The goal set the tone for the half and made exceedingly clear Bayern’s inability to defend against quick counterattacks
Sacha Boey specifically seemed ridiculously out of place every time
The midfield pivot was unable to defend at all
offered too much space to the Leipzig players
and allowed far too many through balls to seep past them
and failed to make anything of the very few chances it managed to create
The constant backpasses evidenced the lack of a desire to win the game
The first half showcased sheer complacency all around
Almost everyone had a detestable first half
The second half brought with it a stark change in the pace of the game
It certainly helped VK that some of the first half’s greatest underperformers were seemingly reborn in the second half
despite the numerous goal contributions the past few weeks
has seen a shaky spell by his own standards
and the first half furthered that sentiment
while the second half put it completely to rest
Sané’s almost title-clinching goal had him reclaim his own story this game
continuing his hot run of form as an extension announcement lurks around the corner
with a better quality of football from the Rekordmeister
Bayern’s direct approach and willingness to take chances again show that the fluff around the box is often pointless and needs to be eradicated from their game
It is also worth noting that Dier’s powerful header came from a non-Kimmich corner
but that’s a separate conversation to be had
Kompany set Bayern in an interesting manner from the get-go
with a lineup nerfed by injuries and absences
the system placed key focus on the flanks sustained by the fullbacks; however
the first half saw neither winger use width effectively or close down the box in the final third
The constant search for a golden chance saw Bayern forgo many silver chances
the very ones they scored from in the second half
which thankfully he more than made up for with his assist to Dier and an equalizer right after
He becomes the first player to hit double digits for both goals and assists this season
establishing a standard of excellence that Bayern needs from all its wingers
Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman both had unremarkable games
The midfield too picked up pace in the second half
was able to maintain possession more comfortably
The newfound resistance to simple counters helped close the running tap of Leipzig opportunities
Joshua Kimmich had a quiet first half but did much better in the second
notably for his incredibly quick and well-executed flick to Sané for Bayern’s third
Kane went through the entire roller coaster of emotions alongside fans
He seemed ready to rush onto the pitch in celebration as the match was seconds away from its end
only to be denied in the cruelest of fashions (as he often has been throughout his career)
No worries: he will be able to seal the deal while on the pitch himself at the Allianz Arena
Davies held another live watchalong on his Twitch channel
and his reactions truly encapsulated all the fans’ emotions over the 90 minutes
it was some truly entertaining football on display
Davies was deeply entertained in all his passion: fans would love more watchalongs as long as Phonzy is out of action
but Bayern have a Meisterschale to etch their name into once again

Bayern desperately wanted to secure the Bundesliga title today in Leipzig - even without their star-striker Harry Kane who was suspended because of his 5th yellow card of the season last week against Mainz
were not going to roll out the red carpet for the Bavarians - they wanted to make their lives difficult and ideally even crash Bayern's title party as a whole
Leipzig got off to a hot start: Haidara had a chance to put his team in front in the 2nd minute of the game
who might return to the bench next week since captain Manuel Neuer is almost back to full strength
Leipzig were able to finish the job - and Urbig was partially to blame: it was a counter attack
Xavi played a great through ball with the outside of his foot towards Šeško who also used the outside of his foot to score from long range
Urbig was too far out and slipped on the wet grass - ironically
it looked like a past mistake from Manuel Neuer himself
Just like in the first matchup between Leipzig and Bayern this season
Raum's motivational speech and will to crash Bayern's title party has reached the whole team; Leipzig was a totally different team to the one which lost 0-4 against Frankfurt last week
Bayern on the other hand were clearly missing key players
at times it seemed like some players had different ideas than others when going forwards
Leipzig scored their 2nd goal of the game in the 39th minute: David Raum crosses the ball from a free kick into the box
where Lukas Klostermann is there to head the ball into the net
after they've played one of their best halfs of football in 2024/25
Bayern came out angrily and it showed in the 62nd minute: Eric Dier
got one back for the Bavarians after scoring a header from a corner
Michael Olise was able to finish a counter attack and equalized the score
Could Bayern actually turn around the game in the 2nd half
The 2nd half was totally different to the 1st half: Bayern were able to get into far better scoring positions and put far more pressure on Leipzig than in the first 45 minutes
Bayern rewarded themselves: Leroy Sané was at the end of a long cross and put the goal in the back of the net with a hard-drilled shot
Bayern fans already started using their fireworks in the stadium - everbody thought Bayern would become champions after Sané's goal
came down to celebrate his first career title with his teammates
Everything was set for a Bavarian party evening in Leipzig - until the 95th minute
Leipzig equalized the score thanks to a chipped shot from Yussuf Poulsen
This felt like the absoulte party-crash - and it was the final moment of a very memorable Bundesliga game
RB Leipzig managed a last-second draw in Saturday’s match against Bayern Munich that may just have effectively decided to Bundesliga title
Leipzig raced out to a 2-0 lead with goals through Benjamin Šeško and Lukas Klostermann in what was one of the most insipid Bayern performances of the season
the Bavarians could not muster the requisite energy or spirit to look anything other than lifeless
However the second half was a different story
A quickfire double put Bayern back on level terms
and Leroy Sané pounced late with a beautiful finish to send Bayern on its way to what would surely be a win...until it wasn’t
Leipzig leveled again with nearly the last kick of the game
leaving a number of other Bayern players to rue their near missed chances

RB Leipzig 3-3 Bayern MunichGoals: 1-0 Šeško 11' (assist: Xavi)
With Bayern needing a win in Leipzig to secure their 33rd Bundesliga tittle, the match promised high stakes and delivered in spades. The absence of suspended top scorer Harry Kane added extra intrigue
with Leipzig determined to claim points for their top-four push.

Xavi emerged as the game's most influential player

The Bavarians could have won the title by beating RB Leipzig on Saturday
and there were plans in place to immediately fly to Ibiza for a party
but the late equalizer from RB Leipzig meant that the club cancelled those plans
They could not risk being in Ibiza and Leverkusen then winning and postponing the festivities for another week

Leverkusen did not win as it panned out, and new plans were quickly formed for a party in Munich. It was a party that burned slowly, though. As BILD details
just three players were there: Joshua Kimmich

Harry Kane and coach Vincent Kompany arrived
whilst Kimmich cheekily told a reporter he would like Leverkusen to win
presumably so that Bayern could win the title this weekend at home against Borussia Monchengladbach and have a more traditional celebration on the pitch

Ines-Sarah Laimer was the first of the women's players to arrive

Don’t call it a comeback (because they ultimately let RB Leipzig comeback)..
Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller has seen a lot during his time with the club and it warms his heart to see as much fight as he witnessed during the team’s 3-3 draw vs
where they battled to take a 3-2 lead after initially falling behind 2-0 in the first half
“The team showed what this club is all about, what these players are all about. FC Bayern can be proud of these guys, despite all the injuries,” Müller said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)
“We experienced a game like this here a few years ago [5-4] when Arjen scored a last minute winner
It feels a bit weird due to the late equalizer
The league title is a formality at this point
but it would have been nice to hold on just a little longer vs
RB Leipzig and really put the Bundesliga race to bed
Bayern Munich drew 3-3 to RB Leipzig on Matchday 32
it is almost certain that the Bavarians have won the Bundesliga
The first half featured perhaps one of the most subpar Bavarian performances in recent times
The first goal in the 11th minute was not just result of a defensive lapse but a massive goalkeeping blunder by Jonas Urbig
The young goalkeeper who has otherwise been perfect found himself helplessly spectating as Benjamin Šeško scored in close-range with little to no trouble
Explaining the way things transpired, per @iMiaSanMia
Urbig said that he thought he’d get to the ball in time
“I have to stand high up the pitch because the backline is also high
I slipped on the way back and things went badly,” he elaborated
Of course Urbig is young and yet to learn a lot
It won’t make me go off track,” he declared
Certainly it it’s important that he not be discouraged regardless of how ‘costly’ his mistake may be
Can RB Leipzig halk Bayern Munich’s party plans
Former Bayern Munich assistant coach and current RB Leipzig head coach Zsolt Lőw sounds like he is ready to let his squad go right after the Bavarians on Saturday
“I can remember a few games we’ve played against Bayern at the Red Bull Arena. We will try to get the fans off their seats tomorrow. I’m sure we’ll have them on our side if we can fire them up. However, we won’t dominate Bayern over the course of the 90 minutes, there will definitely be some difficult moments. I hope they stick with us during those, too,” Lőw said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)
One player Lőw will not have to worry about is Bayern Munich’s suspended striker Harry Kane
understands that the Englishman is just one part of Bayern Munich’s scoring machine
“Everybody knows that Bayern are a great team
Harry Kane will be replaced by a different player
who possibly will interpret his role slightly differently
We want to play better football and show more passion
We want to play well for the whole 90 minutes
The fans have always been behind us when we’ve looked to control the game and be aggressive
That’s what we’ll try and do tomorrow,” Lőw said
RB Leipzig has forgotten its 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich back in December
which should make for an extremely fun match

Bayern Munich’s 3-3 Bundesliga draw with Rasenballsport Leipzig was one borne of extreme sloppiness
The entire first half was a brilliant demonstration of what footballers with their minds elsewhere look like
far better and deserving of praise until another moment of extreme defensive sloppiness saw the Cans equalize in added time
This sloppy performance came just after reports that Bayern’s team were planning a trip to Ibiza to celebrate winning the title if they had won the match
Was the thought of Ibiza what distracted the team
It seems that now, instead of relaxing at the beach, the players will suddenly be hard at work throughout the next few days and preparing for next weekend’s opponent Borussia Mönchengladbach, according to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):
Vincent Kompany initially gave his players Sunday
But now after the Ibiza trip was cancelled
Kompany has also cancelled the ‘mini vacation’
The preparation for Gladbach will begin on Monday afternoon
On Tuesday there’s a public training session scheduled
confirmed the Bavarians as the league winners despite not winning against the Lawnballsporters and that the team would be drinking throughout Sunday
the players will not be THAT hungover on Monday
Bayern couldn’t seal the deal outright today but they’ll be able to do so next week under better circumstances
LEROY SANE COMPLETES THE COMEBACK FOR BAYERN MUNICH
then Michael Olise steals the ball at the restart
charges towards the Leipzig goal and levels the game

The winner of the coveted Meisterschale will now be decided today
All Bayern Munich needs to do is to beat Leipzig
Today is the day that Bayern wrestles the Meisterschale back and remind everyone who the best team in Germany really is
they could hold off for one more matchday and win it at the Allianz Arena which would be Thomas Müller’s final home game
Leipzig meanwhile is hunting down automatic qualification for next season’s Champions League
Bayern is top of the league with 75 points (23-6-2) while Leipzig is fifth with 51 points (13-10-8)

On a rainy Saturday in Leipzig, Bayern Munich rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to take a 3-2 lead into stoppage time
Yussuf Poulsen chipped Jonas Urbig to ruin the celebration
Bayern essentially bagged the title with a nine-point lead and a plus-30 goal differential margin
but delayed celebrations until it was made official
It was a cruel fate for Bayern but a fate that was rectified today. Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw at Freiburg officially conceded the title. Bayern gathered at the Käfer restaurant to watch the match together
This year’s title is significant for a variety of Bayern players:
Bayern Munich traveled to RB Leipzig and earned a tough 3-3 draw in a match that will not leave either side satisfied
Bayern Munich needed the win to clinch the title
while RB Leipzig needed three points to help keep its European hopes alive
then fought all the way back to take the led...and collapsed in an utterly deflating fashion
Let’s talk about all of that and more on the Bavarian Podcast Work — Postgame Show
Looks like the team will have to celebrate only after the season officially ends
As Bayern Munich move towards the end of their 2024/24 Bundesliga campaign
the likelihood of bagging the Meisterschale has risen
the goal difference after the game against RB Leipzig is indicative of the fact that Bayern are Deutschefußballmeister 2025
some surprising news came out — manager Vincent Kompany had permitted the team to take a long weekend and make a team trip to Ibiza
This comes at a time when nothing is still fully conclusive — the trophy is yet to be handed to the Bavarians
Most were critical of the timing of the trip, raising concerns that the players may not put forth their best if they were busy vacationing while the season is still ongoing. Max Eberl, along with the higher officials echoed the same sentiment. Per @iMiaSanMia
Eberl stated that the trip would not happen
We discussed it and said it wasn’t appropriate
Bayern Munich came to Leipzig with the opportunity to seal the Bundesliga title
After an exhilarating second-half comeback from a 2-0 deficit
Bayern had the title snatched from under its nose in the 94th minute
While goal difference means that Bayer Leverkusen will likely need to score 30+ goals in only three matches to stop the party in Munich
Harry Kane will have to wait at least one more matchday before he’s able to celebrate winning his first title officially
Leipzig had several strong performers on the night
with Benjamin Seško scoring a gorgeous goal with the outside of his boot and working hard for the entirety of his time on the pitch
who steals the award away from the Slovenian
assisting Seško’s opening goal and playing a perfectly weighted pass through to Yussuf Poulson to grab the last-minute equalizer
It’s also worth noting that Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer put in decent shifts as well
with the ladder managing to do so while playing far out of position at left-back
Two moments of the midfielder’s ball-playing superiority stand out from the first half are a cross-pitch long ball to find Leroy Sané breaking through the Leipzig line in the 10th minute
and a floated cross to the head of a box-lurking Thomas Müller in the 30th minute
While neither of these situations led to goals
Kimmich did capture an assist leading up to an excellent Leroy Sané strike late in the second half
a strong performance from Serge Gnabry is worth noting
with the attacker putting in a decent shift and contributing significantly to the build-up of Sané’s goal
Bayern Munich’s 3-3 draw with Rasenballsport Leipzig left the team and the fans in a very strange position
there is little chance that Bayer Leverkusen can make up the 9 point difference
which is why Bayern’s vice captain Thomas Müller spoke about the ‘in-between’ feeling of probably being the champion but not having it confirmed just yet
Goalkeeper Jonas Urbig, standing in for captain Manuel Neuer, has perhaps a fraction of the experience Müller has, so when he was asked by a reporter after the match what he thought of Müller’s comments, he was hardly inclined to disagree: “I won’t contradict Thomas. We’re not officially champions, we’ll try to finish the job next week,” the former FC Köln goalkeeper said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia
“It doesn’t matter whether we win it tomorrow [if Leverkusen drop points] or next week against [Borussia Mönchengladbach]
Of course it’s bitter that we conceded a late equalizer
we didn’t clear the ball well at the end of the game
That bitterness will linger until next week
where the match against Die Fohlen will give Bayern their second chance to seal the Bundesliga title
Harry Kane was getting ready to celebrate the first major trophy of his career until RB Leipzig equalised
Thomas Muller described his "strange feeling" as Bayern Munich's wait for the Bundesliga continued after draw against RB Leipzig
I’m not gonna lie” — some Bayern fan somewhere..
After storming out to a 2-0 lead against Bayern Munich
RB Leipzig had to eventually claw back to just lock down a 3-3 in the game’s waning moments
For RB Leipzig managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer
it was a result filled with mixed emotions
and in the second half such moments just happen against such good opponents as Bayern
I’m incredibly proud of them for believing in themselves until the end and achieving this twist,” Löw remarked
veteran midfielder Kevin Kampl was happy to see his team play with such a never-say-die mentality
“I saw a team that believed in themselves throughout
that turned in an outstanding first-half display
that didn’t give up despite a difficult second half and kept fighting until the end
It was a clear reaction to last week’s match in Frankfurt
Bayern Munich was seeking to wrap up the Bundesliga against RB Leipzig
but could only end up with a 3-3 draw with Die Roten Bullen — who were extremely desperate for three points
here are some quick hitters on the match:

Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß recalled how the final moments of making the decision to hire Vincent Kompany over Hansi Flick played out
“When Max flew to England with Christoph to negotiate with Vincent
I told him: ‘Make sure you come back with his signature!’ If that hadn’t worked out
But I was sure it was a good decision,” Hoeneß said
Former Bayern Munich striker Sandro Wagner could be the next coach at one of his old clubs
Should TSG Hoffenheim part ways with Christian Ilzer at the end of the season
He is also said to have received two additional offers from Bundesliga sides
A decision in Hoffenheim is expected once survival is secured
Tottenham Hotspur could be inclined to make a move for Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst:
Tottenham have been watching Borussia Monchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst
who could be available for €28m if the Bundesliga club fail to qualify for Europe
Bayern Munich is in the homestretch of the season
but the news surrounding the team continues to heat up
Let’s talk about everything going on with the squad on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:
Bayern Munich is expected to make Leroy Sané’s contract extension official next week:
FC Bayern and Leroy #Sané are now in the final phase of contract negotiations
he is expected to extend his deal until 2028 next week
all offers turned down — because he wanted to stay
Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller explained why the club is so special to him
I think there’s a very special identity in the club
It certainly won’t have been so firmly established around 1900
but something has developed over the decades that you don’t find elsewhere in this form
The success story certainly began with the way Bayern established itself very quickly after promotion in 1965
both domestically and internationally,” Müller said
it was possible to retain that core of young players
We mustn’t forget Katsche Schwarzenbeck and Bulle Roth - they all became icons
Something grew back then that is still the foundation of Bayern today.”
There were rumors (published by Rheinische Post via @iMiaSanMia), which indicated that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund
and Eintracht Frankfurt were interested in Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Kō Itakura:
Leverkusen and Frankfurt are keeping an eye on Mönchengladbach defender Kō Itakura (28)
The Japanese international could leave Gladbach this summer
Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg says
EXCL | Borussia Mönchengladbach have not been officially informed yet
but Ko #Itakura will not be extending his contract
A move is planned for this summer or on a free transfer next year
➡️ For this summer, the 28 y/o centre-back has a release clause in the region of €10–15 million. What hadn’t been known until now: Manchester City hold a matching right for this summer
Rumours linking him to FC Bayern are currently not concrete
Keep an eye on this rumor...Bayern Munich is among the clubs linked to AC Milan defender Malick Thiaw:
Bayern Munich and West Ham United are interested in AC Milan centre-back Malick Thiaw
Bayern Munich took down Mainz 05 this weekend with a superior effort
That did not exactly shakeup the Bundesliga landscape
but there is a lot of movement and we will dive headfirst into that
we’ve got some contract news to talk about and maybe even a little talk about Hansi Flick as well
this is what we have on tap for this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show:
Bundesliga changed their rule to give special permission to Harry Kane for title celebrations during Bayern Munich's clash against RB Leipzig
Thomas Muller has made a promise to team-mate Harry Kane after Bayern were denied the title against RB Leipzig on Saturday by a last-gasp equaliser
the Bavarians were unable to crush The Cans today
Bayern Munich’s clash with Rasenballsport Leipzig looked to be ending in disaster after a very poor first half
The league leaders came roaring back after half time
seemingly completing a 3-2 comeback win before more drama saw The Cans draw level in the dying embers of the match
board member for sport Max Eberl chose to approach the draw with a positive disposition:
“The atmosphere in the dressing room is very positive. We played an average first half. But then we came back brilliantly,” the former Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director said, as captured by @iMiaSanMia
“Leipzig’s lucky punch at the end is frustrating
Leipzig are going through a difficult phase
even if the ending was obviously frustrating.”
On one hand, throwing away a win like that is simply not ever the expectation at Bayern. Especially when Bayern could have further helped deny the Lawnballers a spot in the Champions League
it virtually sealed the title for Die Rekordmeister
Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig fought to a draw..
Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund found himself amazed at the 3-3 draw that his team had with RB Leipzig
Bayern Munich did not get the full job done against RB Leipzig
so (depending on Bayer Leverkusen’s result vs
SC Freiburg) a date next week with Borussia Mönchengladbach could be the official time for a celebration
“I go into my last game the same way I did in my first.”
The number of games left in the 2024/25 Bundesliga season are few and so are the games Thomas Müller will play with Bayern Munich
This is a morbid situation for not just Bayern and its fans
his impact on modern football is undeniable
Müller too believes this to be a difficult time for the fans, who will certainly make his last game as memorable as possible. As captured by @iMiaSanMia
the Raumdeuter explained that his focus was purely on football and winning the title officially
“[…] then I’ll enjoy it with the fans,” he elaborated
for me it doesn’t make much of a difference - I go into my last game the same way I did in my first,” he declared
Certainly Müller’s mentality is commendable
he might be the greatest example of Mia San Mia the club has and will ever have
Germany :RB Leipzig's Yussuf Poulsen scored a stoppage-time goal to snatch a 3-3 draw against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich on Saturday and delay the Bavarians' title celebrations by at least a day
Bayern found themselves 2-0 down at halftime before scoring two goals in two minutes to level and taking an 83rd-minute lead
struck seconds before the end to leave Bayern on 76 points
with two games left to play and a much better goal difference than Leverkusen
in the running for a top-four finish and a spot in next season's Champions League
It was supposed to be triumphant afternoon for Bayern but they found themselves on the back foot from the start with the hosts piling on early pressure
Leipzig had two big chances before Benjamin Sesko completed a one-pass quick break from Xavi Simmons with a superbly curled shot past keeper Jonas Urbig in the 11th minute
With the Bundesliga's leading scorer Harry Kane
It got even worse for them six minute before the break when Lukas Klostermann easily beat his marker to head in a David Raum free kick and double Leipzig's lead
Bayern turned things around after the break
with Eric Dier heading in Michael Olise's corner at the near post and Olise rifling in the equaliser a minute later
They thought they had done enough to secure the title when Leroy Sane struck seven minutes from time and Kane moved down from the stands to watch the final minutes from the sideline
chipping the ball over Urbig for the equaliser
Bayern can win the title in front of a home crowd next week when they host Borussia Moenchengladbach

Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants Cesc Fabregas to take the reins at RB Leipzig as the former Liverpool manager's Red Bull role becomes more hands-on
Bayern Munich is set to face off with RB Leipzig..
Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany knows that RB Leipzig is fighting for any hopes it has of playing in Europe next season and will not approach this match leaning on the squad’s 5-1 win over Die Roten Bullen back in December
One player who will not be involved in the effort is Harry Kane
who is serving a suspension for yellow card accumulation
“We want to win tomorrow and become champions
Nothing would change for Harry Kane if we were champions tomorrow
It’s just a normal preparation for Leipzig,” Kompany said
“Harry is one of our best players mentally
He knows his moment is coming; he always exudes confidence
He trained as if he was going to play on Saturday
We also had the support of Dayot Upamecano and Manuel Neuer in Milan
Harry probably won’t miss the chance to travel with us.”
Kompany would not reveal if the captain would play vs
we’ll sit together after the final training and decide what’s best for him and for the team,” said Kompany
The striker wants to take down Bayern Munich..
One of the Bundesliga’s breakout stars for this season has been RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško
Šeško, who has 20 goals and six assists in 42 games across all competitions this season, has been linked to Bayern Munich in transfer rumors for several months, but only has his mind on trying to find a way to take down the Bavarians and help his squad keep its hopes for Champions League play in 2025/26 alive
that’s tough because they’re just really good
I hope and I believe that we can play a great match
the more you want to show off [what you can do]
RB Leipzig is coming off of a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend and Šeško knows the team must rebound quickly
we are a kind of team that everyone wants [to beat]
there are some in-game details like you don’t close down here or you are a couple of seconds too late
I think things like that hurt us a couple of times
It’s a season where we have to stay together
We have to try to bring as much effort away from the pitch as possible too
These kind of seasons can be like a rollercoaster and we have to be focused just to bring maximum effort out,” Šeško said
Šeško was also asked about potentially playing against Thomas Müller for the final time
You just need an experienced guy like that; he’s a great dude in general
If you have that thing he has of being a good man and a great player on the pitch
I think it is a great combination for all those who can play with him to appreciate,” Šeško stated
Šeško was asked about he thinks his team will finish off this campaign
“We have to also realize that the season was been a little bit of a rollercoaster
we had amazing moments and we had sad moments
I’ve been trying to bring as much out of myself as possible in games
there is still a lot that I could do: try to help the team even more in some situations
but it’s a process and everything takes time
There are still three games left to try and bring as much of myself as possible to the fore,” Šeško said
Harry Kane was granted special permission to go onto the pitch at full-time in yesterday's 3-3 draw between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig.
According to the DFL, ineligible players are not allowed to enter the stadium from half an hour before to half an hour after the match.
In 2019, for example, Borussia Dortmund had to pay a €10,000 fine because Marco Reus, who was also suspended at the time, was spotted pitch-side during the game.
However, German football's governing body showed how they can be flexible in certain circumstances, such as Kane's case
As BILD reports, the league granted an exemption because the England international is in the crucial phase of his first club title – a moment of particular emotional significance.
Bayern Munich applied for Kane to access the pitch after the final whistle yesterday and the Bavarians were subsequently granted this special permission.
Bayern Munich came extremely close to winning the Bundesliga title in Leipzig on matchday 32. The Bavarian's came back from 2-0 down in the 1st half and even went in front - a win would've given them the Bundesliga title.
Goals from Eric Dier, Michael Olise and Leroy Sané even made Harry Kane come down from the stands to the bench in preparation for the title win.
“We've shown what we're capable of in the 2nd half”, said Müller about his club's performance.
In the 95th minute however, it was Leipzig who delivered the final blow: Yussuf Poulsen scored the equaliser to deny Bayern the title party in Leipzig.
“That equalizing goal makes it a bit strange - I feel like a champion, but the work is not done yet. It's like an in-between thing”, these are the complicated emotions of Bayern's record player Thomas Müller in an interview after the game.
The game against Leipzig was the 1st of 3 matchballs for Bayern to win the Bundesliga title themselves, should Leverkusen will all their remaining games of course.
If Leverkusen don't win against Freiburg tomorrow, Bayern will become “sofa champions” - but everyone, including a certain Harry Kane, would like for Bayern to become Bundesliga champions themselves by winning (or drawing) against Gladbach in the Allianz Arena on the 10th of May.
the 29-year-old winger gets a pass against Leipzig
After having an underwhelming opening 45 minutes
he was Bayern’s best attacking player in the second half
His perfectly struck rocket of a shot in the 83rd minute looked like both the match-winning and title-clinching goal up until the final minute of added time when Yussuf Poulsen scored Leipzig’s equalizer
Despite another up-and-down evening from Leroy Sané
Sané gave a terrific effort in all aspects of the game
He was impactful at both ends of the pitch
he also completed four of his seven attempted dribbles
Sane was also impressive out of possession
The German winger completed eight recoveries (second only to Kimmich)
he won a match-high eight ground duels from the 12 duels that he contested

Three points would have seen Bayern crowned Champions with two matchdays to spare
following a disappointing first-half in which Bayern looked overmatched and which ended with Leipzig leading 2-0
the second half was like a breath of fresh air as the visitors stormed back to take a 3-2 lead before conceding the equalizer in added time
With the exceptions of Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer
it’s not often that such a terrible first-half team performance can morph into an outstanding performance in the second half
but that’s exactly what transpired on Saturday afternoon in Leipzig
Kimmich and Laimer were the only bright spots for Die Roten in a completely abysmal opening forty-five minutes
let’s now take a look at the three Bayern players who shone brightest
Whilst several Bayern players struggled in the first half
Joshua Kimmich was the most effective in preventing what at times looked like a complete meltdown
Joshua Kimmich didn’t look as sharp as he could during the first half
but he was the most consistent Bayern player throughout the 90 minutes
Although his pass accuracy was at times lacking
Kimmich had a game-high 122 touches and was successful with 89% of his attempted passes (88/99)
The German midfielder also created a game-high five chances
with four of those coming in the second half
including the assist to Leroy Sané for his team’s third goal
he made five clearances and completed nine recoveries
Michael Olise played as if he was the victim of some unseen body-snatcher
He was the least effective attacking player from either side before the half-time interval
His performance in the opening 45 minutes was in stark contrast to what the Bavarian faithful had grown accustomed to over the course of the season
It was Olise’s costly slip and turnover in the 11th minute that paved the way for Benjamin Sesko to embarrass Jonas Urbig when he scored Leipzig’s opener
That was one of several turnovers from Olise in the first half
Whilst the overall performance from the 23-year-old French winger was below what was expected
he did have two major impactful contributions in the second half
his inswinging corner from the right was superbly met and headed home by Eric Dier to halve the deficit
Olise took matters into his own hands when he levelled the scores at 2-2 with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box
Olise just makes this list ahead of Eric Dier and Konrad Laimer

BERLIN (AP) — Harry Kane had just arrived on the touchline to start celebrating his first career title
Then Yussuf Poulsen scored for Leipzig to draw with Bayern Munich 3-3 and postpone the Bundesliga leader’s party on Saturday
The last kick of the game in the fourth minute of stoppage time cut Bayern’s celebrations short
just we’re not yet,” Bayern veteran Thomas Müller said
Bayern is all but certain to win the championship
Bayer Leverkusen can still mathematically catch the Bavarian powerhouse and defend its title by winning its remaining three games while making up a goal difference of 30 goals — if Bayern loses its final two matches
Kane has been forced to wait for a first major trophy after a career of near-misses and disappointments
The 31-year-old Bayern star had to watch his teammates play without him against Leipzig because of an accumulation of yellow cards
Leipzig made the better start and deservedly led at halftime thanks to goals from Benjamin Šeško and Lukas Klostermann
leaving the suspended Kane sitting stone-faced in the stands
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany evidently found the right words during the break

and Olise equalized a minute later after the home team’s sloppy play from the restart
Leipzig goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt denied Leroy Sané and Leon Goretzka

“We’re almost champions,” Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said after what he described as “a spectacle.”
Bayern might have to wait only a day when Leverkusen plays at Freiburg on Sunday
Serhou Guirassy and Karim Adeyemi both scored twice and Borussia Dortmund’s late-season revival under new coach Niko Kovač continued with a 4-0 win over Wolfsburg
Guirassy got the home team off the mark in the third minute and took his season tally to 19 in the 59th
though nine of his 24 goals were penalties
Only Leverkusen’s Patrick Schick has scored more from play (19) than Guirassy (17)
The Guinea star’s second goal settled his team
Adeyemi duly scored Dortmund’s third in the 69th and grabbed another four minutes later
Dortmund’s fourth straight win across all competitions lifted the team to fourth place
the last for Champions League qualification
Freiburg will hope to reclaim it on Sunday
