Borussia Mönchengladbach vs
TSG Hoffenheim preview: Fohlenelf look to get back on form | OneFootballBulinews
Die Fohlen's defence has been a major concern recently
conceding nine goals in their last three games
as many as they had conceded in their previous six
Gerardo Seoane’s men have now lost their last three matches and have not won in four
a stark contrast to their earlier form when they secured six victories from their previous nine games
managing just one win from their last five outings at Borussia Park
Seoane will be without several key players for this encounter
and goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas will also miss out
This could mean that Fabio Chiarodia and midfielder Philipp Sander will be tasked with shielding goalkeeper Jonas Omlin
Julian Weigl and Rocco Reitz may form a double pivot
and Tim Kleindienst should lead the attack
Forward Nathan N'Goumou is also unavailable
Hoffenheim, in 15th place with 30 points, remain in danger of relegation but will secure safety if they win and Heidenheim fail to do so on Friday. Their recent form has been mixed, with a 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund on April 26 marking their second consecutive defeat by that scoreline. Hoffenheim have lost four of their last six matches
but they have shown some attacking improvement
scoring six goals in their last three outings
more than they managed in the previous six games
having scored three and conceded seven in that stretch
In head-to-head encounters with Monchengladbach
winning only once in their last six meetings and losing five
In terms of team news, Hoffenheim are dealing with several injuries
Midfielders Diadie Samassekou and Grischa Prömel are also out
but Tom Bischof is available after serving a suspension
and he could partner Anton Stach in midfield
Adam Hlozek is expected to be supported by Bazoumana Toure and Andrej Kramaric

Germany (AP) — Mainz continued its push for a place in next year’s Champions League with an accomplished 3-1 win at Borussia Mönchengladbach that lifted it into third place in the Bundesliga on Friday
Paul Nebel got the opener before halftime with a deflected shot that stranded Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Jonas Omlin
Dominik Kohr doubled the advantage six minutes into the second half when he pounced on a rebound in the box and fired home
Stefan Lainer got the home side back into the game with less than 20 minutes left but Nadiem Amiri restored Mainz’s two-goal cushion just four minutes later
The result extended Mainz’s unbeaten league run against Mönchengladbach to nine league games and kept it on course for its best ever Bundesliga finish
The midfielder will travel today to the Italian capital to for his medical this afternoon and finalise a deal that is worth a total of €20-25m and he will also sign a contract at the club until 2029. AC Milan had also shown an interest in the 23-year-old
Koné’s departure brings to an end a three-year spell at Gladbach which started off strongly but after his first season at the club
Gladbach does not need to find a replacement for Koné as they are well-stacked in midfield after the arrivals of Kevin Stöger and Philipp Sander this summer
the money from the Koné deal now means that Gladbach can fund their continued rebuild in January as well as next summer

Germany (AP) — Tim Kleindienst scored and Borussia Moenchengladbach came back from conceding an own goal to draw at Mainz 1-1 in the Bundesliga on Friday
Stefan Lainer’s own goal 10 minutes into the second half put Mainz ahead and raised the prospect of a first home win in five games
But Kleindienst stole between two defenders to head home two minutes later
His sixth goal puts him behind only Harry Kane and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush on the Bundesliga scoring chart
The result was another disappointment for Mainz
for which its top goal-scorer Jonathan Burkardt limped off after 20 minutes
Friday’s point was only its second at home from a possible 15 and the home side had goalkeeper Robin Zentner to thank with a fine display that thwarted Moenchengladbach forwards on several occasions
Moenchengladbach moved into ninth while Mainz was three places behind

Holstein Kiel vs
Borussia Mönchengladbach preview: Pivotal clash at both ends of the table | OneFootballBulinews
Holstein KielMarcel Rapp's side remain at the foot of the table and are running out of time to rescue their top-flight status
having registered just one win in their last 14 league outings
a spirited 1-1 draw away at RB Leipzig last weekend gave Die Storche a much-needed boost in belief
even if a late penalty denied them all three points
The result leaves Kiel three points behind 16th-placed Heidenheim
with their superior goal difference offering a glimmer of hope that survival
Rapp's men have claimed just one victory at Holstein-Stadion in 2025 and head into this weekend on the back of consecutive defeats in their own backyard
Victory over Gladbach on Saturday would be just Kiel’s fifth of the season and their first in nearly two months
they could leapfrog into the relegation playoff position
reigniting their survival push with four games left to play
Colin Noah Kleine-Bekel and Marco Komenda all ruled out through injury
David Zac is also a doubt due to a concussion
so Carl Johansson may be forced into the back three alongside Marko Ivezic and Timo Becker
Jann-Fiete Arp misses out through suspension
while Lewis Holtby and Andu Yobel Kelati are sidelined with thigh and knee issues
Borussia Mönchengladbach arrive in Kiel still chasing European qualification
though Gerardo Seoane’s side have stuttered in April
going winless in three with one draw and two defeats
Their latest outing ended in a frustrating 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund
despite taking an early lead through Ko Itakura
though they remain just three points off sixth-placed Mainz and a potential Conference League berth
With just five points separating fourth and ninth in the table
each result in the final run-in could prove decisive
Gladbach have been far stronger on the road of late, losing only once in their last six Bundesliga away matches, a run that includes four wins and a draw. A return to winning ways on Saturday could propel Die Fohlen as high as seventh and put them level on points with Mainz
Borussia Mönchengladbach are dealing with illness in the squad
with Yvandro Borges Sanches and Philipp Sander unlikely to feature
Rocco Reitz is expected to partner Julian Weigl in midfield
Robin Hack and Alassane Plea should support striker Tim Kleindienst in attack
Nathan N'Goumou remains out with an Achilles injury
and first-choice goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas is still sidelined with a groin problem

PLAYER RATINGS | Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Borussia Mönchengladbach | OneFootballGet German Football News
Easter Sunday, and just like Jesus, Borussia Dortmund came back from the dead (this is a stretch, they were only a goal down) to beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2
Itakura finished off the move to make it 1-0
Gladbach looked like they were going to head into half-time in the lead
The substitute Carney Chukwuemeka was the catalyst for two of these goals
as he counterpressed Gladbach before getting the ball and playing it out wide to Pascal Groß
whose cross was met by Serhou Guirassy to make it 1-0
A similar scenario occurred for the second goal when a Yan Couto cross was diverted in by Felix Nmecha
but the save landed into the path of Daniel Svensson
and a early penalty awarded to Gladbach upped the tension of the game (I imagine this is what the Last Supper felt like
espeically as a disagreement between Guirassy and Kevin Stöger broke out
despite Gladbach only being within one goal of Dortmund
they never really looked like they were able to create the chance to score the equaliser
The win for Dortmund is a big one because of the results from yesterday. They have only two points off of the European spots and four points off of RB Leipzig
who occupy the final Champions League spot
die Schwarzgelben are now on a four-game unbeaten run in the league and with a favourable set of games on the horizon and the unpredictability of the race for the European spots
there is a real possibility that they will qualify for Europe
the loss does not do their pursuit of European football any favours; however
so the possibility of European football next season is still alive
The defeat did show some of Gladbach’s limitations
but I am still of the belief that Gladbach can do better than Gerardo Seoane
not matter what happens at the end of the season
Gregor Kobel (5), Niklas Süle (5), Waldemar Anton (5), Ramy Bensebaini (5)
After coming on for the injured Maximilian Beier
Chukwuemeka swung the momentum well in favour of Dortmund

Borussia Mönchengladbach exploring bringing Jan-Niklas Beste back to the BundesligaGet German Football NewsJanuary 9, 2025 at 10:38 AM UTC·1 min readSky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are exploring the potential of bringing Benfica’s Jan-Niklas Beste back to the Bundesliga
Initial talks between Beste and Gladbach have already taken place and the 26-year-old is open to moving to Gladbach this winter
It would also allow a reunion with former Heidenheim teammate Tim Kleindienst who swapped the Voith Arena for Borussia Park in the summer
the deal does depend on Benfica and if they are willing to let Beste leave
as well as the fact that Gladbach would need to sell a winger
Lucikly for die Fohlen, Sky Germany also reports that Nathan Ngoumou has recieved conrete enquires about a potenail move away from Borussia Park
meaning Gladbach would recoup most of the money they paid for the winger back in 2022
Striker Tomas Cvancara is also a candidate to leave the Niederrhein this month if they receive a good enough fee for the 24-year-old
Cvancara is interested in potentially moving to Saudi Arabia
which would likely mean that Gladbach can again recoup their €10.5m spent on the Czechia international in 2023

Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach Gerardo Seoane followed up a shaky pre match press conference on Friday with another gloom affair on Sunday evening
Seoane found himself placed in the position of explaining his side’s second consecutive Bundesliga defeat
The European dream for Seoane’s Fohlenelf slips away with four games remaining
both Dortmund and Freiburg have leapfrogged Gladbach in the table
Seoane was understandably subdued when facing the media
“It’s extremely aggravating when one takes the lead and then concedes three goals before the first half is out,” Seoane said
“The quality of the opponent enabled them to capitalise on our mistakes
“I commend the team for not losing their nerve in the second half,” Seoane continued
Step by step they worked their way back into the game and there were chances in the last 15 minutes
“It’s a shame that we have to head home without a point,” Seoane concluded
“But we can still build upon this performance.“

Borussia Mönchengladbach face mentality problems and injury concerns as season draws to a close | OneFootballGet German Football News

Lead striker Tim Kleindiesnt couldn’t disguise his frustration when speaking to Sky Germany afterwards
the team didn’t seem to grasp the reality that their hold on a crucial Europa League qualification place in the table was on the line
Head coach Gerardo Seoane spoke on the team’s mentality and posture at the post match press conference. A journalist referenced one of sporting director Roland Virkus’ quotes in the mixed zone. The BMG personnel chief suggested that Gladbach’s pursuit of Europe for the first time after four tables of mid-table mediocrity left the team “tense” and “stressed”
“I don’t think the players are thinking about scenarios,” Seoane answered
“The loss related purely to footballing matters
Bad defending and ball losses aren’t the result of players thinking about Europe
We have no place for such thoughts in the locker room
The loss today resulted from technical and tactical reasons.”

Versatile midfield specialists Rocco Reitz (muscular issues) and Philipp Sander (vascular problems stemming from an infection) were both unavailable for Saturday’s fixture. It remains unclear if either one will be back in time to face Borussia Dortmund next Easter Sunday
The double-six duo of Florian Neuhaus and Julian Weigl – which had drawn praise earlier this season – performed very poorly in the loss against Freiburg
Virkus declared himself unimpressed with the work of the two German Internationals in his post match comments
“We lack a profile in midfield that we might need in a game like this,” Virkus said
“We the bite and aggressiveness to win balls [in midfield].”

2 Jonas Omlin meant that the 36-year-old had to strap on his boots
Matters proceeding rather disastrously for Gerardo Seoane’s side on Saturday afternoon at home against Augsburg
Omlin’s 28th-minute red card left the foals shorthanded for two thirds of the match
FCA attacker Alexis Claude Maurice sunk the Niederrheiner with a hat-trick as the home slide slumped to a defeat
Sippel probably never expected to make another top flight appearance again
The former Kaiserslautern man hadn’t set foot on the pitch in nearly two years
Some very poor performances in goal during the 2022/23 Bundesliga campaign had left him something of a running joke in German footballing circles
The Gladbach goalkeeping situation continues along its crazy course since the departure of long-time mainstay Yann Sommer in January 2023
Sommer’s Swiss compatriot Omlin’s persistent injury problems led to Jan Olschowsky temporarily looking like the keeper of the future
Nicolas then came out of nowhere to displace Olschowsky and then Omlin
“I never expected to appear again,” Sippel remarked in his post-match interview with Sky Germany. “It’s crazy
now we’ve lost two goalkeepers in the space of a week with Moritz Nicolas and Jonas Omlin
“It’s insane what’s happened in recent years here in the goalkeeping position,” Sippel continued
“I was here for over seven years with Yann Sommer and he wasn’t even injured
Now it seems like we go six or seven games without one of them being injured.”
Seoane made certain not to place the blame for the three goals conceded squarely on Sippel’s shoulders
It still speaks volumes that the Gladbach head coach floated the idea of turning to youth prospects in goal while Omlin serves his (yet undetermined) suspension
“He has not had many appearances in the last two or three years
even in friendly matches,” Seoane said at the post-match press conference
anyone needs time to get back into the rhythm
“Now is not the time to make a prediction for next Saturday,” Seoane nevertheless continued
3 and it is logical that he is in his position to play next Saturday
We’ve lost two goalkeepers in eight days.”
“Let’s see how the training week goes,” Sippel added
Maximilian Neutgens and Thiago [Pereira Cardoso] we have three guys who are in the picture.“

A flying Frenchman and a goalkeeping performance of the ages
Bayern Munich vs
Borussia Mönchengladbach is most often a heavily contested affair
Having gained a reputation as Bayern’s “bogey” team in recent years Gladbach put in a pitiful first-half performance that if one didn’t know better
would raise questions as to how they ever gained that reputation in the first place
Gladbach improved somewhat in the second half and was able to leave with a scoreline that vastly undersells the dominance displayed by the Bayern players
let's take a look at who stood out in this Bundesliga classic
If Bayern wasn’t awarded a penalty Gladbach’s point would’ve been thanks to Nicolas
the Englishman came close to scoring his first goal in a non-friendly match for Bayern
as he did well to head a Michael Olise corner in the right direction early in the first half
Kimmich did his regular Kimmich things in recycling possession and restarting attacks
his seven ball recoveries putting him in a perfect position to do so

Stuttgart have now lost two matches in a week
against Mainz and Paris Saint Germain respectively
Wednesday's defeat in the Champions League saw Sebastian Hoeneß's men eliminated from the competition at the first hurdle
joining RB Leipzig as the second German club to bow out
Despite headline wins against Juventus and Young Boys
as well as a dominant performance in Bratislava
heads are left scratching regarding dropped points against both Sparta Prague and Red Star Belgrade
leaving VfB with a precarious task welcoming PSG to MHPArena
Attentions now turn back to the Bundesliga
and next week's DFB-Pokal quarter-final against Augsburg
The lack of ‘Englische Woche’ (English weeks/midweek matches) will likely play a huge role in the club's fortunes as the season's crunch point approaches
VfB emerged as 3-1 winners against Borussia Mönchengladbach on their travels in September
and Hoeneß will fancy his side's chances yet again this weekend
thanks to a strong home record involving five wins in their last seven Bundesliga encounters on home soil
midfielder and captain Atakan Karazor is unavailable for this weekend's fixture due to suspension after accumulating too many yellow cards
The same can be said for centre-back Jeff Chabot
Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel is likely to be back in between the sticks after returning to training following sickness ruling him out of Wednesday's Champions League loss
Whilst Ameen-Al Dakhil could start alongside Anthony Rouault at centre-back for Stuttgart
despite reports suggesting that a bid from Rennes has arrived for Rouault today
and Dan-Axel Zagadou all remain unavailable for selection
fortunes have been inconsistent both in terms of results and performances
Die Fohlen sit just four points behind sixth-placed Mainz
who currently sit well within the race for European football
Last weekend's 3-0 win against strugglers Bochum provided the first clean sheet for Gladbach in eight matches
whilst also being a respite from conceding after leaking eight goals in the previous two outings prior to last week's win
Slight concerns remain present regarding the away form of Gerardo Seaone's side
with Gladbach winning just one of their last nine matches on their travels
these struggles have been even more prevalent
and 3-1 losses against Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen making up the two away results so far in the calendar year
The only major absences for Gladbach remain that of Alassane Plea and Franck Honorat who is out of contention until May with a broken ankle
Talismanic striker Tim Kleindienst is likely to start alongside Robin Hack
Tomas Cvancara and Kevin Stöger in forward areas
Whilst Rocco Reitz and Julian Weigl are likely to operate as the midfield pairing for Die Fohlen

Here's what to know for the second-round matchup between the Celtics and Knicks
Jimmy Butler insisted that the Golden State Warriors are confident in winning their first-round series against the Rockets after Houston forced a Game 7 on Friday
Abdul Carter is aiming high with his jersey number
Gerardo Seoane’s side continued their impressive form with a well-earned victory against Union Berlin
scoring twice inside the opening 26 minutes
having created four clear-cut chances while restricting their opponents to just a solitary penalty
defensive frailties remain a concern for Die Fohlen
who have managed just one clean sheet in their last 11 matches
Their tally of 32 goals conceded is the third-worst defensive record among the Bundesliga’s top eight teams
A win on Saturday could significantly bolster their European ambitions
as they currently trail fourth-placed RB Leipzig by three points
and are just one point adrift of sixth-placed Mainz
as they determine qualification for the Champions League
Gladbach are unbeaten in their last four outings
winning three while scoring eight goals and conceding only three in that period
though they will be without first-choice goalkeeper Moritz Nicolas for the remainder of the season
meaning Jonas Omlin is set to make only his fourth Bundesliga appearance of the campaign
Franck Honorat’s absence due to a broken ankle could see Nathan N'Goumou
and Robin Hack provide support for striker Tim Kleindienst
With Rocco Reitz unavailable until mid-March
Philipp Sander and Julian Weigl are expected to anchor the midfield
Augsburg’s recent struggles in front of goal continued last weekend as they recorded a second successive goalless draw
While their defensive solidity has been evident
keeping four clean sheets in their last six games
they have found the net just once in their past four matches
Jess Thorup’s side will take confidence from their 2-1 triumph over Gladbach in the reverse fixture on 4 October
when they restricted Die Fohlen to a single clear-cut opportunity
That victory extended Augsburg’s unbeaten run against them to three matches
Die Fuggerstädter have earned three draws in their last four league outings
but had won their previous three matches by an aggregate scoreline of 6-1
They are winless in their last three Bundesliga matches on the road
they have managed just four wins from 14 away fixtures
suffering six defeats and playing out four draws
Augsburg’s injury concerns are more pronounced
shielded by a back three of Chrislain Matsima
Samuel Essende is the frontrunner to lead the attack
with Mergim Berisha and Yusuf Kabadayi unavailable for selection
Bayern Munich just barely beat Borussia Mönchengladbach as the Bundesliga finally returned to action this weekend
Bayern recorded a 1-0 win over eternal tormentors Gladbach: but really
Bayern goes home with all three points and maintain their four-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen
A problem that has been around for a while now
but rarely ever been a greater cause of concern than it is at the moment
is the sheer inability of Bayern’s forwards to convert clear-cut chances
Bayern are not struggling to create chances: quite the contrary (more on this later)
Thomas Müller missed a few chances in the first half but none as many as Leroy Sané did in the second
Harry Kane was barely even on the pitch at times
while Serge Gnabry’s cameo added more to the parade of missed Bayern chances
Bayern has no problem cornering their prey
Michael Olise fought for his life creating chances for the rest of the team
Bayern’s old crop of wingers are not Bayern-level
They provide zero output while earning far too much
The attack looks pathetic without Jamal Musiala and frankly
there is not much he could have done either looking at the way things went down tonight
Someone tell Max Eberl to call Napoli...Kvaratskhelia is available
Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich were arguably the best players on the pitch today
and both have expiring contracts in the summer
the need for long-term extensions for both becomes more and more clear
His ability to lose his man so effortlessly in the final third is truly amazing to watch
He is arguably the best fullback on the planet at the moment...and it is so beautiful to see him thrive
More so Kimmich had arguably one of the best halves of the season
Kimmich's influence over the game was unrivaled: it was like watching a master shepherd and his flock of sheep
The play went where Kimmich was as he floated into those right-half spaces he knows so well to provide those effortless through balls and crosses: and suddenly
Game by game he proves again why he deserves that extension
both Kimmich and Davies are having one of their best seasons ever
Vincent Kompany set up the team fairly well
Konrad Laimer and Kimmich overlapping in the first half were great and Bayern constricted Gladbach to their 4-4-2/4-4-3 out-of-possession structure during buildup and to their 5-at-the-bach (haha!) in the final third
The tactics were designed to counter likely mechanisms of play and surpass them by using Kimmich the way he was in the build-up
The tactics seemed to disappear after the ball reached the final third because the players truly seemed clueless as to what their next move should be
A lot more work needs to be done attacking-wise
developing mechanisms of play around and inside the opposition box
The team selection, however, could have been better. Kingsley Coman was decent and should have started over Sané while benching Aleksandar Pavlović remains questionable. The players let Kompany down a lot, and hopefully, Bayern address that in the transfer window(s)
Backup keeper Moritz Nicolas had an incredible game
Bayern got lucky as Tim Kleindienst’s headers scraped the crossbar twice and youngster Rocco Reitz had a great game too
That’s all for the first professional football game of 2025

Ko Itakura could leave Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer with several Bundesliga sides interested | OneFootballGet German Football News
Rheinische Post reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Ko Itakura could leave the club in the summer
Despite Gladbach competing for a place in Europe this season
This was even confirmed by sporting director Roland Virkus:
“I don’t see the danger of a sell-off.” The strategy for this summer: “We first have to see what’s happening on the departure side to know where we need to take action.”
Itakura is very likely to be one of the players to leave this summer. Previously, it was reported that he is delaying extending his contract at the club
which would put Gladbach in a position where they would be forced to sell the Japanese international
Several clubs from across Europe are interested, but so are teams in Germany. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund
and Eintracht Frankfurt are mentioned as teams linked to the 28-year-old
The defender may be followed by Julian Weigl out of the door. The former German international has been linked to Leeds United and Red Bull Salzburg in the past week

Borussia Mönchengladbach look to Switzerland for potential Julian Weigl replacement | OneFootballGet German Football News
With the future of Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Julian Weigl in doubt, Bild reports that die Fohlen are looking to Switzerland for his replacement
Basel midfielder Leon Avdullahu is said to be on Gladbach’s radar
The midfielder is said to be the ‘new Granit Xhaka’ due to his style of play and Balkan roots
However, Gladbach are not the only team interested in the Swiss under-21 captain. Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina have both been linked to the midfielder
while Wolfsburg even tried to sign Avdullahu in the winter
The 21-year-old’s contract is valid at Basel until 2028
and he is valued at €7.5m by transfermarkt
The positive for die Fohlen is that if they are to qualify for Europe this season
they would likely be able to compete financially for the signing of Avdullahu
something that would likely be very difficult if they fail to qualify
Gladbach have had success buying from the Swiss league in recent years with Yann Sommer
and Xhaka all moving north to the Rheinland

New Borussia Mönchengladbach signing suffers horror injury | OneFootballGet German Football News
New Borussia Mönchengladbach signing Jens Castrop may have to wait a long time to make his Bundesliga debut
FC Nürnberg player had to be stretchered off early in Saturday’s 2
Nürnberg confirmed a very bitter diagnosis indeed
Castrop suffered a partial tear of his lateral ligament in his right knee
Such an injury could keep the 21-year-old on the sidelines for the rest of the 2025 calendar year
One of the German second divisions’ most valuable players sees his current career rise come to a grinding halt
Castrop’s injury also constitutes bad news for the Germany U21 squad as they prepare to contest the U21 European Championships in June. Castrop didn’t feature much for Antonio di Salvo’s DFB Juniors during the recent international break
Three goals and four assists in 25 league appearances for Nürnberg this season saw the attack-minded midfielder double his estimated market worth from €3m to €6m
Gladbach secured his future services of €4.5m in the recent January transfer window

Gerardo Seoane's "Fohlenelf" have gotten the proverbial monkey off their back by finally recording back-to-back league wins for the first time in over two-and-half years
After a sustained period of suffering that began with Marco Rose's announcement that he would depart (at the time) Champions' League level Gladbach in the middle of the 2020/21 campaign
BMG enthusiasts finally have a team they can get behind
not to mention a team seemingly disinterested in escaping mid-table mediocrity
put this famously loyal fanbase through the wringer.
Virkus obviously won't be able to park all of his prospects elsewhere
The basic arithmetic of loaning out seven underutilized players on a 27-man-roster doesn't even add up
There nevertheless simply isn't enough room for promising players such as Fabio Chiarodia
Keeper Jan Olschowsky practically begs for a loan-out while Luca Netz makes for a much more difficult conversation
The fact is that Lukas Ullrich should retain the starting left-back role
Expiring contracts = Tobias Sippel (GK)
One discerns no reason why veteran Tobias Sippel should remain on a roster that features four keepers unless Olschowsky can be loaned out or captain Jonas Omlin sold outright
Navigating the net-minder situation hardly proves a tricky task as it's simply a matter of making one deal
Everyone else on the roster operates under working papers good through 2026
This is thanks to the fact that Virkus and his team skillfully inserted automatic renewals in some contracts tied to performance clauses
Plea and (it is rumored) Robin Hack saw their deals extended through these.
One can definitely make the case that the team is one major buy away from the pursuit of a top-four finish
The argument that Gerardo Seoane has the players to make this objective a reality nonetheless seems equally as strong
There genuinely exists a contingency plan at every position in the event of injury or form collapse
Virkus may do better to play it safe.
Rumored Links = Bernardo (LB) Kevin Diks (CB)
Fisnik Asllani (CF) Nathan Butler Oyedeji (CF)

PLAYER RATINGS | Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-1 Bayern Munich | OneFootballGet German Football News
After Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-2 win Borussia Dortmund last night, Bayern Munich replied with a 1-0 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach
The main takeaway from the opening 45 was, how can a neutral find this interesting? Admittedly, I do have a foot in this race, but I also had more fun and interest in a class at school that I hated so much that it felt twice as long (French). Bayern had 76% possession in the first half but the absence of Jamal Musiala was clear as no clear-cut chances were created
It was the same automatic movements of trying to cut the ball back across the face of the goal to give Harry Kane his customary tap-in
While Gladbach can count their blessings that they have Yann Sommer in disguise in goal on the attacking front they haven’t created anything
The win for Bayern opens their lead again to four points following Leverkusen’s win last night
What this game did show was that without Musiala
they are very blunt in attack and struggle to create anything
who apart from his penalty was absent for most of the game
then everyone gets in each other’s way when they get into the opponent’s final third
Gladbach should be happy with their second-half performance, away from the penalty, but their one issue was the lack of pace in their attack. There were several times in this game where Gladbach was on the counter but were unable to take advantage of this as Bayern were able to track back in time to nullify the attack
so I will not mention the performance of the referee
Bayern’s next game is in midweek against Hoffenheim on Wednesday (Englische Woche alarm) while Gladbach faces Wolfsburg on Tuesday
Yann Sommer 2.0. Nicolas was integral to Gladbach staying in the game as he made nine saves to keep out Bayern. Several times in this game he was outnumbered in a Bayern counter
but each time he was able to thwart the counter-attack with relative ease
Gladbach has probably stumbled upon their next great keeper by accident and it is probably only a matter of time before he can be mentioned as potentially earning a call-up to the national team with former Gladbach keeper Marc-André ter Stegen still out
