James Murray (far left) faces allegations of grooming
while Joe Gatto (second from right) is being accused of sexual assault
ANA DOLLARD | STAFF REPORTER | adollard@butler.edu
Content warning: Reference to sexual assault and grooming
asking her for back massages and making frequent inquiries into her sex life
She also claimed Gatto invited her into his room to cuddle
“The first time we had romantic/sexual contact I was 17,” Pretend_Crab_9160 said in a thread on Reddit. However, since the user lived in the UK at the time of the event, where the age of consent is 16
Although the user claimed that the age gap they described is legal in the U.K.
“I’m not accusing him of committing a crime
The reason I shared my story is because I was sick of others not being believed
Fans are disheartened to see once-beloved comedians become yet another case of fallen idols
sophomore strategic communication major Grace Friedberg
explained her reactions to the allegations
“It just puts everything that they do in the show in a different light,” Friedberg said
“You wonder who’s uncomfortable on set and who’s uncomfortable if they’re pranking [people]
which is formatted around a group of friends pranking and embarrassing each other
is one that many felt was an opportunity for enjoyable
reality TV may have been hiding a darker reality
Whether or not the allegations are true remains unverified as of publication. Many fans online refuse to consider the allegations, accusing the victims of lying or blaming them for the occurrence in the comments of joozyb’s videos
“It’s giving I was drunk and now I regret it so I’m gonna get my 15 min of fame … you knew exactly why you were going to that hotel bffr,” said one TikTok user in the comments section
“I don’t believe her at all,” said another in the same video
While Murray remains silent, Gatto responded to the allegations against him in the gossip column Page Six
“I have used poor judgment and as a result have violated the trust of the people I love most,” Gatto said
“But anyone who knows me at all knows full well that I wouldn’t assault anyone.”
Some fans have felt like they cannot entirely trust the messages that Gatto has been communicating
Junior criminology-psychology major Molly Goodman mentioned that she believes Gatto may have underlying motives for checking into the treatment center
“My guess is he’s doing it before the legal action takes front,” Goodman said
“If he shows that he’s actively trying to fix himself
they’re less likely to prosecute him because he is actively seeking help.”
Whether or not the move to communicate Gatto’s apparent attempts to get help was a PR tactic still remains unclear
Other fans think Gatto should not be allowed to slip through the cracks of the legal system for the alleged assault
Junior criminology-psychology major Ireland Crabtree thinks further action should be taken against Gatto
“I think it’s a good move overall for him to cancel that with all of this stuff ongoing,” Crabtree said
“But I think there needs to be some recognition of
and I would like to [legally] make it right with these women.’”
Whether or not the victim will pursue legal action still remains unclear. Joozyb had one final message in her video: “Don’t meet your stars,” she said
“He wasn’t my star but … don’t dig your foot where it doesn’t belong.”
America’s relationship with celebrities is intense and complicated
Especially in comedy — a source of comfort for so many — it is difficult to see an idol as someone other than who they present themselves to be
While fans at Butler have been supportive of the victims
Many fans see Gatto and Murray as exceptions from cancellation
which gives the comedians an advantage in the court of public opinion
Canceling someone who is well-liked means both sacrificing entertainment for the sake of supporting a victim and grieving the years of enjoyment from a now-tainted media
It is much easier to uphold the belief that a celebrity is well-meaning and deny any accusations against that person
The problem worsens when this bias carries over into legal settings
leaving these celebrities with favorability that shields them from prosecution
A sense of humor should not exempt people from public scrutiny and action in court

Comedian Joe Gatto is proud of his former "Impractical Jokers" co-star James "Murr" Murray
A video went viral on TikTok over the weekend of Murray at a bar singing Chappell Roan's hit song "Pink Pony Club." The video had over 4.6 million views as of Monday afternoon
Murray brought his stand-up comedy show to Raleigh
Gatto watched the clip for the first time during an interview with The Enquirer on Monday, in which he discussed his upcoming Cincinnati show, March 15 at Taft Theatre
Gatto said he wasn't surprised by the performance
"It's pretty much like every cruise we ever did," Gatto said
and me and Murr would end up karaoking on stage and stuff
"Me and the boys definitely love to bring the energy and create a moment
The video of Gatto's reaction is at the top of the page
Season 11 of "Impractical Jokers" picked back up Jan. 9 with Murray, Sal Vulcano and Brian Quinn. Gatto announced he was leaving the show in December 2021 for personal reasons
the Ampersand International Arts Festival hosted comedian and author James “Murr” Murray in Colonial Williamsburg’s Kimball Theatre for a stop on his “Errors Tour.” Murray performed standup about his past errors of judgment
interacted with audience members and played a few practical jokes on the people of Williamsburg
Murray is best known for his role on TBS comedy series “Impractical Jokers,” which features his childhood friends Brian “Q” Quinn
The Jokers challenge one another to perform ridiculous mischief in public and face equally ridiculous punishments for failing to execute the dares.
Murray’s current tour is also dedicated to promoting his latest of nine thriller novels, “You Better Watch Out,” co-authored by Darren Wearmouth. Murray also mentioned that his 2020 novel, “Don’t Move,” is being adapted into a film which will release in the fall.
“My whole idea of writing these thriller novels has been hoping that one day they will be turned into movies,” Murray said.
Murray opened the show with stand-up comedy about errors of judgment he has made in his life
he discussed fanmade Impractical Jokers memes
prank messages sent in a Ring doorbell “Neighbors” chat and humorous interactions with Amazon chatbots.
The final error Murray noted was a farewell voice message to his deceased mother recorded by his six year old brother-in-law
Murray broke down the message’s gaffes
The show also included unseen clips filmed for “Impractical Jokers.” Murray showed a video in which he drew on cartoonish eyebrows (his own eyebrows were bleached for a punishment) and interacted with fans in London
He also introduced a clip of a “creep off” competition between the Jokers where they competed to be the creepiest in public
“This video is one of my favorite things we’ve ever filmed,” Murray said
“We don’t show it on tour anymore; it was never on TV.”
Murray called three audience members onto the stage for a game of “text roulette.” He asked the participants about their text conversations and sent dramatic prank messages to their friends and family.
Because the entire second half of the show
I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Murray said
we’re going to make it up as we go.”
Jessica Sigsbee ’24 was called onto the stage
where Murray took her phone and texted her friend Charlotte that he had thrown up all over her
he FaceTimed Charlotte in front of the crowd as a surprise
I grew up watching ‘Impractical Jokers,’ so when I heard Murr was coming here
Murr is her favorite so it was just really funny.”
Supporting comic Chris Johnston stepped in for the final portion of the show to play “Impractical Jokers” live outside the theatre
Johnston shot basketballs into tables and knocked over stanchions inside Precarious Beer Project at Murray’s request
Murray noted that “Impractical Jokers” is celebrating 15 years of filming this month
Murray observed that the Jokers were already in their 30s and well into leading regular lives when their celebrity lives began
giving them a down-to-earth perspective.
“It makes me realize that all the amazing things that have happened to us in the past 15 years are entirely because of you,” Murray said
“I do not consider you guys our fans; I consider you my friends
I literally feel like I’ve grown up with you and your families on TV.”
The Williamsburg stop was special to Murray as his extended family hails from the Richmond and Norfolk areas
he spoke directly to his nephew and brother-in-law in the audience.
“It’s like coming home,” Murray said.
The annual Ampersand International Arts Festival is organized by AVAdventure Productions with support from the City of Williamsburg
but students of the College of William and Mary can also wait in line for free standby seats as availability permits.
Student programming and logistics interns help run the week of films
guest speakers and more celebrations of the arts
Josephine Rozner ’25 served as the lead intern for Murray’s show and arrived early to help set up for the event
The interns filter the crowds into the auditorium
answer questions and complete other miscellaneous tasks such as selling merch
The crowd for Murray’s show was the largest the student interns had seen at this year’s festival thus far.
We were able to accept a lot of students that were on standby
I think like 32 students on standby,” student intern Abby Johnson ’25 said
“That was really great that people were able to come in even though they couldn’t get tickets

The University of Missouri hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony today for a 47,000-square-foot addition to the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) facility
three-story addition to the existing MURR North Building represents not only an investment in the physical infrastructure but also in the future of research and production that will impact lives around the world
“MURR is the most important source for medical radioisotopes in the country,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said
This addition includes 16,000 square feet of space dedicated for innovative research, medical isotope production and collaborative projects with industry partners.”
450,000 cancer patients were treated with isotopes produced at MURR.
“The opportunities that MURR West will provide in 2025 and beyond will save even more lives by changing the landscape of nuclear and cancer research,” Todd Graves
“The board and I are proud that such a necessary and impactful initiative will bring so much to our state and enhance the health and well-being of its citizens.”
“This new addition gives us the space we need and space for our partners to grow their technologies,” Matt Sanford
“The first floor will be the future home of new research labs and industry partners who will work with Mizzou to develop new technologies
they can leverage the expertise at MURR to help them bring their vision to reality faster. It also represents the commitment Mizzou has to support Columbia
Boone County and Missouri through the economic development possibilities new companies will bring.”
The second and third floors provide space for manufacturing support
and employees previously working in temporary buildings
as well as additional space for future expansion
Mizzou continues to invest in the expansion of radiopharmaceutical production at MURR
construction began on a new addition that will house more production lines for the processing of no-carrier-added lutetium-177 (NCA Lu-177)
the active pharmaceutical ingredient in Lutathera® and Pluvicto®
targeted radiotherapies used to treat neuroendocrine tumors and prostate cancer
MURR will begin construction on another addition that will create more storage and support space for the increased NCA Lu-177 production
“These new additions are exciting,” Sanford said
“They enable more lifesaving patient treatments and allow us to invest in new discoveries
Combined with our ambitious plans for NextGen MURR
we are securing Mizzou’s place as a leader in cancer research and treatment for generations.”
The expansions and growth will help meet the increasing demand for lifesaving and life extending drugs to treat cancer patients around the U.S
Thanks for visiting
The NextGen MURR research reactor will trigger a series of advances in treating cancer
searching for our cultural origins and more
The University of Missouri’s bold leap in nuclear science will be a 20-megawatt reactor set to transform cancer treatment
It will more than triple isotope production to meet growing demand
It will build on MURR’s legacy as the most powerful U.S
one that has run nearly nonstop since 1966
It will multiply MURR’s impact as the only source in the Western Hemisphere for four essential cancer-fighting isotopes
responsible for 9.5 million months of extended life annually
That’s in addition to breakthroughs in medicine
and a true crime twist: NextGen MURR will also be a forensics powerhouse
What do the following have in common?
Radioisotopes that treat more than 1.6 million cancer patients per year
Forensic analysis that affects the outcome of criminal trials
Novel medical devices designed to target disease while leaving healthy tissue alone
Research that determines the often-surprising origins of cultural artifacts thousands of years old.
“They all happen at Mizzou,” you get partial credit
they all happen at one location at Mizzou: the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR).
Since its first nuclear chain reaction in 1966
MURR has been the home to abundant discoveries in radiopharmacology
trace element epidemiology and materials science
(See “From Atoms for Peace to New Nuclear” below.) At 10 MW
it’s the most powerful research reactor at any university in the country — and has been so since 1974.
the university announced plans for NextGen MURR
could more than triple capacity for producing radioisotopes used in cancer treatment and expand research capabilities in other fields.
“We have a responsibility to look beyond just today and to try to forecast what is going to be needed
of us in the future,” says Michael Hoehn II
who became NextGen MURR’s inaugural program director this year
(See “NextGen MURR’s true son” below.)
producer of four medical radioisotopes used in cancer treatment: Iridium-192 helps treat brain
Lutetium-177 currently is used to treat prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors
with more possible targeted treatments in the future
Sodium Iodide-131 is used for diagnosing and treating thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism
And Yttrium-90 targets liver cancer.
but Hoehn notes that there are thousands of clinical trials in process involving other isotopes
The ones that prove effective and reach bedsides will drastically increase demand
Mizzou has the track record of success and safety to produce them right here.
Thousands of Columbia residents drive past MURR while commuting on Providence Road every day without realizing they’re passing a nuclear reactor
Hoehn says it’s likely more people know the MURR name internationally than locally.
“When you say MURR in the radioisotope community and the medical community
they understand the importance of it to the supply chain for radioisotopes,” Hoehn says
“But there are people here who don’t know why Reactor Field is named what it is
and they don’t know there’s a reactor there
MURR’s accomplishments are impressive enough to warrant more attention
given how many cancer patients they affect
are the radioisotopes the reactor produces
MURR researchers also have been part of teams developing novel delivery approaches
a special medical device now owned by Boston Scientific
TheraSphere consists of tiny spheres of glass that deliver Yttrium-90 to the liver — a targeted approach that is designed to destroy cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue as much as possible
Such targeted therapeutics are becoming more common
which is part of why Hoehn sees such an urgent need for NextGen MURR.
MURR and its future counterpart cover a wide range of fields beyond radiopharmaceuticals
associate director of research and education for the reactor
Brockman points to the MURR Archaeometry Laboratory
first established in 1988 and continuously funded by the National Science Foundation ever since
Archaeometrists at MURR primarily use a technique called neutron activation analysis to examine archeological artifacts
“They perform what are called provenance studies,” Brockman says
meaning they’re trying to determine everything from age to origins of the objects
Neutron activation analysis and other more recent techniques such as X-ray fluorescence allow them to examine materials without destroying them
By studying the elemental composition of such objects
archaeometry can trace the origins of raw materials
revealing ancient trade routes and pinpointing the original locations of various cultures
Brockman and other MURR-affiliated researchers use similar techniques in what’s called trace element epidemiology
a field that uses nuclear analysis to study medical issues
he has been a part of teams examining various bodily samples — blood
even toenails — to determine how certain metals in the diet affect health
such as the connection between selenium and cancer risk.
“Often these samples were collected 20 years
“They’re irreplaceable.” The ability to accurately analyze such samples while maintaining their integrity sets nuclear science apart.
with both the diversity of work and its far-above-average operating capacity
But Hoehn foresees an even higher goal.
“Our vision right now is to be the leader in radioisotope production
nuclear science and technology research in the Western Hemisphere,” Hoehn says
there’s no reason why we can’t do it.”
The vision is for NextGen MURR to be a fully integrated nuclear campus located at Discovery Ridge southeast of town.
“We see this as not just the reactor,” Hoehn says
“but as the ability to partner with the private sector
maybe the government in various national labs in a research setting — and not just in a traditional partnership sense
but on-site in that integrated ecosystem.”
As the process shakes out over an estimated eight to 10 years
Hoehn will work with a design-and-build partner to ensure that vision comes to life
with spaces not only for faculty labs and the highly specialized equipment that supports them
but also potential startup housing or special labs for future government agency partnerships.
“You can think about interactions that create inspired research in a model like this,” Brockman says
“You can think about on-site partners designing research with our specific researchers and their expertise in mind.” Both Brockman and Hoehn point to the powerful possibility of taking a basic scientific discovery all the way to a patient’s bedside treatment
That’s a more likely outcome when you gather all the right expertise — from nuclear science to the management of clinical trials — in one location.
If a carefully planned critical mass of talent is one benefit of NextGen MURR
A 20 MW reactor on top of its existing 10 MW one would give Mizzou the two most powerful university research reactors in the country
It takes much more power to produce electricity than to perform research.)
That power is not a one-to-one translation
since NextGen MURR will be designed with current best practices in mind
That’s why Hoehn and others say it will “more than” triple Mizzou’s current capacity.
One of the key advantages of this increased power is the boost in neutron flux
which refers to the number of neutrons passing over an area at a given time
MURR can retrieve isotopes from the reactor’s central “flux trap” positions only once a week
NextGen MURR’s design will not only increase the neutron flux and number of isotopes created
but also it will allow researchers to access and remove isotopes safely while the reactor continues to run
The process has major implications for productivity.
So does the range of up-to-date tools and techniques envisioned for NextGen MURR
The goal is to create a hub that will improve and save lives in the state
country and beyond — and recruit and retain even more experts aligned with that goal. “NextGen MURR will attract the best and the brightest from around the world,” Hoehn says
“To be able to have that right here in Columbia
you’ll find Michael Hoehn II decked out in black and gold in the stands at Faurot Field
where he joins his voice with 60,000-plus other Tiger fans.
you’ll find him not far away at Reactor Field at MURR
where he uses his voice to extol the possibilities of nuclear research for the people of Missouri
He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Mizzou and an MBA from Maryville University
then spent 18 years in nuclear energy at Ameren Missouri’s Callaway Energy Center.
“I was helping to provide energy to the public in a clean
so I took that role pretty seriously,” Hoehn says
“and I took a lot of pride in knowing what my job was.” He became director of nuclear engineering design and projects
a role that included everything from managing major changes to juggling project timelines and budgets.
Hoehn found the perfect fit for his Mizzou pride and nuclear know-how — and it was right there in the town where he was already raising his family
He pursued and was named to the role of inaugural program director for NextGen MURR
reporting to the executive director of MURR
Hoehn is responsible for assembling and leading a team of designers
He oversees the process of choosing a long-term design and construction partner for what is envisioned as an integrated nuclear campus
he’ll also be responsible for keeping the project on track through approximately eight to 10 years of various reviews and the construction process before it comes online.
Hoehn and team draw on nearly 60 years of learning at MURR
but they’re also taking lessons from friendly competitors abroad
“We were at a new reactor build site in the Netherlands recently doing benchmarking,” he says
“That site has integrated radiopharmaceutical production capabilities as well as envisioning an integrated medical campus with clinical trial capabilities
and they’re going to have a brand new state-of-the-art-reactor.” In other words
it was exactly the sort of model he has in mind for NextGen MURR.
He also owns his role as a cheerleader for NextGen MURR
Having worked in nuclear energy for so long
he’s seen what a lack of education and information can do to public perception
He’ll tell you about the obvious benefits of radiopharmaceuticals for treating cancer — and how they are improving via better targeting techniques that kill a tumor while saving healthy tissue
including improving increasingly critical items such as lithium-based batteries

The highest-powered university research reactor in the country is expanding
Officials held a ribbon cutting today at the research reactor north building
This is by far the largest expansion we have ever had
We must continue discovering new radioactive isotopes and helping industry partners commercialize them and get them to patients,” explained Matt Sandford
the executive director of the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR)
The $20 million three-story expansion will provide much-needed space for researchers at the MURR facility and increase opportunities for collaboration with industry partners
"The people that work here are experts and respected worldwide for what they can do
And what the researchers need most right now is space to do the research
and more partnerships to develop these technologies,” Sanford said
"MURR is developing new radioisotopes for the latest cancer treatments
finding ways to ensure those isotopes can be delivered to specific cancer cells
And these technologies are changing how cancers are being treated
and we are saving lives daily," Sanford said
Sanford says the facility's demand has increased due to recent regulation changes by the FDA allowing more drugs to use Lutetium 177
“We are expanding those technologies to new research and production to those isotopes here at the University of Missouri,” Sanford said
Sanford hopes to bring some of the world's top experts in advancing nuclear medicine to Columbia
they'll be interested in coming here and partnering with the experts at MURR and the University of Missouri to help bring their new technologies to life," Sanford said

Court records detail the steps the treasurer of a private Franklin County swim club took to stop members from getting their hands on bank records showing she stole almost $150,000 from the club over several years
Krista Murr was charged Wednesday with three felony counts of theft and one felony count of forgery for allegedly stealing from Moss Spring Swim Club in Greencastle
Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham released her on $75,000 unsecured bail
is accused of stealing $148,292.56 from the swim club while serving as its treasurer from 2017 to this past July
She was removed from the position around the time the financial discrepancies came to light
Greencastle police wrote in court documents
The police investigation turned up evidence that Murr used funds from the swim club's bank accounts to pay personal credit card bills
different balancesMembers of Moss Spring Swim Club - which operates on a deed system where each member is part owner - began raising questions on July 14 when Murr reported the club's F&M Trust account had a balance of about $150,000
After initially refusing to provide financial documentation
on July 17 she turned over three years' worth of documents showing the club had $150,651 on hand
a club member went to F&M Trust in Greencastle and learned the club's balance stood at $158,930.84
Murr provided a "corrected" financial statement showing a balance of $185,507.63
The increase was found to be the result of Murr depositing three cashier checks from Orrstown Bank
Theater seeks donations: Chambersburg's Capitol Theatre tackles perceptions to reverse fundraising trend
Incident at bank triggers fraud alertThat led a former Moss Spring Swim Club board member to contact Orrstown
which the club used for banking before switching to F&M Trust in 2023
They learned on the July 19 call that the club had had two accounts there
and requested statements be emailed to them
so the former board member called again on July 22
They hung up after the representative sought to transfer them to Murr - who was then an employee at the bank and was aware the former member was trying to get the statements - and went to the bank in person
they found themselves in a standoff with a bank teller
who was receiving text messages from Murr telling them not to provide the statements
the former board member succeeded in getting the statements from another teller despite Murr's multiple previous attempts to prevent it
The interaction led Orrstown to alert their fraud investigator
who found evidence that Murr used the swim club's money for her personal use
A report of possible fraud was made to Greencastle Police Department the day of the incident at the bank
There's still time to shop: New shops and eateries open just in time for holiday shopping in downtown Chambersburg
the office of criminal defense attorney Steve Rice notified the police department that Murr planned to cooperate in the investigation and return the money
Murr admitted she had been taking money from the club for several years
an accountant found $99,916.96 in unauthorized transactions from 2020 to Aug
"She said the club never audited the books so it was easy," police wrote in court documents
Murr said she also kept some cash from the concession stand
Murr's preliminary hearing is set for 10:30 a.m
but these kinds of hearings are typically held in courtroom six at the Franklin County Judicial Center

the NY-based singer-songwriter is sharing a new single off the album
“Meantime,” of which she says “”Meantime” is about living in the liminal zone of knowing a given chapter has to end
Still being able to access empathy/ compassion for the innocence underneath adult dysfunction
Yet the dissonance is growing and it’s getting harder to do so
Knowing the kindest thing is to leave.” The track is accompanies with a video
mirrors where Murr found herself during its creation—at the geographic heart of the 48 contiguous United State
There she hunkered down to restore an abandoned house
immersing herself in solitude and reflection
Music flowed out of her during this monastic period of stripping wallpaper in a derelict construction zone in the middle of nowhere
she was able to gain a vantage point of her own life and ultimately locate her own center
a grounding force that was inside of her the whole time
“Working on this old house as if it’s my body/If I take care of it it’ll take care of me/Stripping leaves off the centuries/Maps of other worlds/ obscured destinies,”
Murr made the bulk of the record in the Los Angeles area and then Temple joined her in Red Cloud to put finishing touches on it
“we finished the arrangements and vocals in my then barely livable house with a makeshift recording rig I had set up.”

GREENCASTLE- The now former Treasurer of the Moss Spring Swim Club in Greencastle is in hot water after allegedly stealing from the club for a number of years
Krista D Murr has been charged with felony theft of movable property
felony theft by failure to make required funds
Murr remains free on an unsecured bail of $75,000
Greencastle PD received a report of possible fraud at the Moss Spring Swim Club on N Allison Street in Greencastle
Officers quickly developed Krista Murr as a suspect
who was the MSSC treasurer from 2017 until her removal from that office in July of 2024
used her position to steal in excess of $148,292.56 from MSSC accounts by using direct withdraw
and using the swim club’s coffers to pay for credit card bills
questions were raised about the MSSC’s current account balances
with Murr allegedly saying the club had a balance of about $150,000
After questioning and financial documentation provided by Murr
that balance was found to be $150,651 per the documentation provided
is believed to be forged by Greencastle PD
a club member stopped at the bank that the organization used in Greencastle
who found that the club’s balance was $158,930.84
Murr allegedly provided more documentation with updated info
but that statement now showed an account balance of $186,607.63
The sudden increase in value was found to have occurred after Murr allegedly deposited 3 cashiers checks from another bank that the organization had used previously
Greencastle PD say that Murr moved the club’s banking from that bank to the new one
closing one account but failing to close another
Murr allegedly failed to inform the MSSC board that the second account remained open and active
a former board member who was still listed on the former bank’s accounts called and requested account information
It was at that time that the former board member learned of the still live account
GPD say that Murr was an employee at this bank and was actively trying to stop the member from gaining access to the account information
That information was finally provided by the bank after skirting around Murr’s alleged attempts
That interaction caused the bank’s fraud investigator to be alerted
where they urged the club to have both their accounts at the former bank and their new bank investigate these accounts to see if Murr had tampered with them
Greencastle PD say that an investigation was done into all of the club’s accounts
showing that Murr used the accounts to pay for numerous things only relevant to her own life
The day after Greencastle PD began their investigation
police were contacted by Murr’s lawyers
saying that she “intended to cooperate with the investigation and pay back all the money”
Greencastle PD interviewed Murr in the presence of her lawyers
That is when Murr allegedly admitted to taking money from MSSC to pay for personal expenses and that she didn’t know how long that had been happening but “knew it was several years”
GPD also say that “she (Murr) said the club never audited the books so it was easy”

Essaying the pop culture that matters since 1999
Cornelia Murr’s new LP finds the artist at her most refined
The songwriting is imaginative and introspective; she has a hypnotic way of expressing self-discovery
Murr explores what it’s like to be in your mid-30s
grappling with doubt and pressures to settle down
Not only is she finding her place in the world
but she is finding herself in a relatively new role
She played in bands for years before going solo in 2018 with her debut
Murr’s latest effort finds the artist at her most refined
Her songwriting is imaginative and introspective; she has a hypnotic way of expressing self-discovery
Cornelia Murr worked with producer Luke Temple (Adriene Lanker
Hand Habits) and produced ten songs that land somewhere between dream pop and psychedelic folk
Temple joined her at the derelict house to record some parts
and the chord movements consistently feel engaging
begins with synth stabs testing the waters
The song is about settling into the present
and recognizing in the little things that life can suddenly shift drastically
Chance encounters (“I left you in the street as you went to the patisserie
taking care of our pretend little family”) can alter the course of your life
The endless possibilities and infinite timelines are awe-inspiring
“Meantime” explores the complicated feelings of moving forward
It’s about wanting to cling to something innocent
wanting to savor it until dysfunction bursts
There is grief in saying goodbye to something that once meant so much
It’s like trying to maintain a friendship when an intimate relationship doesn’t—it never really works out
“Pushing East” is about resilience
It’s about moving ahead after a tough breakup
The theme mainly speaks to a relationship that extended into a musical collaboration and how the experience between the two can be different
provides a flute as a gesture of support and solidarity
The theme for the single “How Do You Get By” came to Cornelia Murr in a dream
It investigates currencies and the abstract forms people use to prescribe meaning to their lives
it is an existential question—what is the meaning of life
“What’s the richness in your life
Her phrasing during the verses on “Layaway” fits neatly between the instrumental
and “This Will All Change” is a quiet stand-out with guitar
and intricacy can get in the way of her vocals
Murr possesses a beautiful voice carrying a hint of melancholy
her reserved delivery tends to get her vocals buried
her performance sometimes feels emotionally flat; there isn’t a wide range of dynamics
but the music itches for her to step further into the expression
Run to the Center is a valiant second effort from an artist settling into her role
and although a bit of pop sensibility in the vocal melodies would make these songs hit harder
Murr’s songwriting is unique and engaging
Cornelia is building herself into a formidable solo artist who can stand independently
she has the craftswomanship to create something beautiful and meaningful
This new collaboration will further enhance MURR’s operational standards
ensuring the highest levels of safety and efficiency
The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) has entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO)
This significant milestone underscores MURR’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence
safety and continuous improvement in the field of nuclear research and operations
As the most powerful university research reactor in the United States
MURR is critical to advancing nuclear science and technology
MURR will gain access to the organization’s wealth of resources
and benchmarking opportunities with other leading nuclear facilities
This collaboration will further enhance MURR’s operational standards
A non-profit organization based in Atlanta
INPO is dedicated to promoting the highest levels of safety and reliability in the operation of commercial nuclear power plants
MURR will be able to learn from the organization’s training
operating standards and shared best practices
MURR’s work with INPO will also support their transformational initiative to build a new state-of-the-art research reactor in Columbia
NextGen MURR will be an essential producer of medical and research radioisotopes to industry partners worldwide
“This collaboration is very important as we anticipate a new
more advanced reactor on the horizon,” said Matt Sanford
“The lessons learned across the nuclear power industry will aid us in preparing our organization to build and operate the NextGen MURR reactor that will benefit humankind for generations.”
