ADS-TEC Energy has raised growth capital of up to 50 million US dollars from institutional investors
The charging specialist from Nürtingen states that it intends to use the money to expand its business in Europe and North America
ADS-TEC will receive the funds in the form of a convertible bond maturing in 2028
which will be provided in two tranches of USD 15 million and USD 35 million
The company does not provide any further details about the investors
The company intends to use the fresh capital to transform itself into a full-service provider that not only offers ultra-fast charging but also energy trading and advertising as additional sources of income
ADS-TEC expects this to generate “significant recurring revenue starting late 2025 into 2026.” The Nürtingen-based company is known primarily for its battery-supported fast-charging systems
the company is therefore aiming to further develop its business model
also in terms of project management itself
commissioning and long-term operation of charging stations from a single source
Tools for energy optimisation and energy trading
ADS-TEC describes this approach as a ‘360-degree solution’ with a particular focus on supermarkets
ADS-TEC focused on supplying our proprietary ultra-fast charging technology to B2B customers like oil and gas companies
and fleet operators,” explains Stefan Berndt-von Bülow
“Our expanded model introduces an opportunity to achieve a robust
multi-year recurring revenue structure that enhances visibility
We already have multiple international projects in motion.” These projects include a pipeline of more than 300 locations in Germany
where ADS-TEC is expected to obtain exclusive rights to deploy its ChargePost platform
“We believe this funding is a strong validation of our long-term vision,” said Thomas Speidel
“We expect to deploy these proceeds in a manner that will allows us to take a significant step forward in transforming our business into a vertically integrated
Not only expanding our physical footprint—but building a sustainable
recurring revenue model with long-term value for our customers and shareholders.”

German pump manufacturer Uraca GmbH & Co KG has bought Nürtingen-based Dynajet GmbH
a designer and developer of high pressure tools and systems
Established in 2001, Dynajet manufactures high pressure tools and systems for many industries and applications
from gum removal to cleaning heavy machinery and concrete removal
The pressure range of applications goes from 150 to 3000 bar
“With Dynajet we have acquired a high value designer and manufacturer of professional high pressure water cleaning systems. Herewith, we strategically expand our complete product and power portfolio,” said Gunter Stoehr, CEO of Uraca.
“We are now in a better position to achieve long term goals in the high pressure cleaning market.”
Together the firms offer a complete product line of mobile high pressure cleaning systems from 150 bar up to high end ultra high pressure systems.
Uraca and Dynajet have been cooperating for a number of years. Dynajet already installs Uraca high pressure plunger pumps in their high pressure cleaning units.
Dynajet will remain an independent brand under Uraca ownership and employees will continue to develop and manufacture at the existing headquarters in Nürtingen.
“Via Uraca, Dynajet gains an enormous development and innovation potential. Customers will benefit from the expanded offering of products and applications,” said Andreas Fellman, manager of Dynajet.
Bad Urach-headquartered Uraca was founded in 1893. Today, the privately held company has annual sales of approximately E70 million with exports accounting for more than 70%. Uraca, which employs around 330 people, designs and constructs high pressure plunger pumps and pump systems for pressures up to 3000 bar and motor ratings up to 2600kW as well as complex high pressure cleaning systems. Applications include the petrochemical and heavy industries.

and potentially reduces its Euro exchange risk
Hitachi Koki Co. has announced that it will acquire full ownership of Nurtingen, Germany-based Metabo Aktiengesellschaft from its parent company Power Tool Invest B.V
While Hitachi didn't disclose financial terms of the deal in its press release, Pro Tool Reviews reports that Metabo was acquired for $180 million.
Metabo's reputation focus on its grinding products in the European market, though its tools are used by professional users and pipefitters worldwide. The company has sales offices in 25 countries.
Tokyo-based Hitachi said the addition of Metabo's strong brand name will gain it a strong sales channel in Europe, particularly in Germany, and boost Hitachi's procurement ability in Europe, which could reduce its Euro exchange risk.
Hitachi Koki had 2014 total sales of more than $1.06 billion, with a global workforce of around 5,000. It said Metabo had 2014 sales of $398 million with 1,800 employees worldwide.
Germany announced its partnership with other tool manufacturers to create the Cordless Alliance System (CAS)
Metabo in Nürtingen, Germany announced its partnership with other tool manufacturers to create the Cordless Alliance System (CAS).
Under the CAS partnership, nine manufacturers of similar company size and with a clear focus on power tools for professional applications, will be sharing the same battery platform and chargers produced by Metabo. This grants CAS manufactures the use of the same battery pack systems, allowing the 100% compatible batteries to be interchanged with other CAS manufacturers tools.
“With Lithium-Ion High-Density Battery (LiHD) we have enough power for the most energy-intensive applications, allowing us to build any hand-held power tool in a cordless version in such a way it meets the professional user’s requirements of power and endurance,” said Horst Garbrecht.
The partnership is the latest step towards expanding Metabo’s vision of a cordless construction site, and metalworking shop entirely run with 18V Lithium-Ion High-Density Battery operated tools. This proves that Metabo is the most innovative and forward thinking tool manufacturer in the industry today.
