Last week, a report by the Institute for Public Policy Research urged Britain to adopt the Mehrgenerationenhaus approach to cope with an ageing population The number of over-65s in Britain is expected to almost double by 2030, and childcare in Britain is more expensive than almost anywhere in the world Could both problems be tackled in one swoop Photograph: Karsten Thielker"Multigenerational houses are a key part of Germany's ageing population plan" these approaches will not be a 'nice to have' but a necessity as families will need an extra helping hand to cope with caring responsibilities and pressure grows to contain the rising public costs of health and social care." "With Sure Start, the last Labour government managed to come up with a widely popular and effective care centre programme" "The question we are asking is: could we bring care for young families and the elderly under one roof?" Labour's policy review team is said to be interested in the German experiment with multigenerational living multigenerational houses were established in Lower Saxony in 2003 by Ursula von der Leyen she took her big idea with her: 500 centres across the country were founded and given €40,000 a year each Centres are only allowed to spend half of the annual budget on salaries in order to encourage the use of volunteers "The idea is that the state only gives us the first push" additional funds are raised through charging a nominal fee for workshops and selling food in the canteen as well as through local charities and sponsorship the number of Mehrgenerationenhäuser was reduced to 450 and even though the current government's coalition manifesto promises to expand the scheme it has yet to clarify how it will support the initiative after the current contracts run out at the end of the year Photograph: Karsten ThielkerCritics say the popular programme is a fig leaf for the state's retreat from the care sector though the government says intergenerational centres were never intended as a replacement for proper social services but as an attempt to recreate the kind of social networks that have withered away since it has become rare for generations of the same family to live in the same house or even in the same city the incentive for multigenerational houses is not just social but also financial efficiency savings are made by the different groups sharing the kitchen a retired engineer who volunteered for the job But if the big idea behind Germany's multigenerational houses is to see demographic change as an opportunity not as a crisis, one criticism is that they have not actually risen to the size of the challenge: a recent government report predicted that by 2060 every third German would be aged 65 or over The next logical step up from multigenerational socialising would be intergenerational living – bringing nursing homes under the same roofs as nurseries Student-style housing blocks for pensioners are increasingly popular in Germany, and some of them, like the Amaryllis centre in Bonn, actively try to keep a balance of young families and the elderly. A recent report suggested co-habitation could reduce the cost of care for the over-50s by 30-50% per head Yet until now such projects have been largely run as co-operatives "Co-habitation projects could be the future for ageing countries in Europe," said Andrea Töllner who advises local governments on the creation of new housing projects "But the key is to remind people they can always close their door if they want They're not going back to student flatshares but separate living units" The pensioners at Pattensen came to that realisation long ago Between 2:30 and 5 every Thursday afternoon the door to the sitting room remains shut so they can play cards in peace is now counting her losses after a fire of unknown origin ravaged her home on Tuesday afternoon She said that her children were unable to attend school on Wednesday since their school supplies and uniforms were all destroyed Daly and her three children are presently staying with her mother who lives nearby and she is appealing to the public for any assistance to help her get back on her feet She can be contacted at telephone number 618-8622 last night told the National Assembly that the government would be focusing on number of developmental projects for 2012 among them the construction of a 25-metre warm-up pool to supplement the 50-m pool currently at Pattensen Anthony made the disclosure in his budget speech to the National Assembly will see Guyana being able to host the Carifta Swimming Championship in 2013 “Right now we have several rising stars in swimming and I would like to point out Jessica Stephenson who has already won a gold medal at the 2012 championship and we expect her to win some more Addressing the issue of the synthetic track Anthony said that contracts were awarded last year and work was ongoing on the fence internal roads and synthetic track and the areas designated for shot-put and long jump “With this year’s money that we get we will start the construction of the Stands and Administrative Building and this project will be completed in 2013.” Boxing which has always been popular in Guyana has seen resurgence at the amateur and professional levels ever since Peter Abdool was elected president of the Caribbean Boxing Federation (CABOFE) “This year we will be adding new gym equipment and our intention is to make this into the best boxing facility in Guyana,” said Dr the ministry has made contact with a Cuban coach who will be working with boxers for the next two years has given one acre of land each to the karate association and the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) He also said that the ministry will be working with the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) and the hockey power lifting and weightlifting associations with the hope of also assisting them in acquiring land for their facilities Over $1 billion in the $192.8b budget presented in the National Assembly by Finance Minister Dr who was charged with trafficking a young woman sentenced to three years in prison and ordered to pay $2 million restitution to the complainant stated that between the months of August and July transported and harboured a woman for the purpose of sexual exploitation She had pleaded not guilty to the charge at her arraignment in September Prosecutor Neville Jeffers had related to the court that Oxley had recruited the virtual complainant and illegally transported her from Guyana to French Guiana ostensibly to look after her daughter in French Guiana the defendant forced the woman into prostitution and took half of the proceeds for herself maintained that the only reason his client took the virtual complainant to French Guiana was to look after her daughter The defence also claimed that the virtual complainant was not forced into prostitution by the defendant but in fact it was a plan between one of his defendant’s family members and the virtual complainant to put his client in jail she said that the prosecution had the burden of proving to the court that the defendant recruited transported and harboured the virtual complainant She said that after examining the evidence the court was satisfied that there was sufficient evidence against Oxley to show such Chief Magistrate McLennan explained that the accused requested the virtual complainant to go to the country transported her there illegally and provided housing while she was taking care of the defendant’s daughter and engaging in prostitution The Chief Magistrate said that the sexual services of the virtual complainant mirrors sexual exploitation as the defendant consented to the activity She said that the court was of the opinion that the defendant deceived the virtual complainant that her boyfriend did not want her and as such her intent was to exploit her She was of the view that Oxley knew what she was doing Chief Magistrate McLennan went on to say that the court believed the testimony of the complainant had told the court that she felt stifled and controlled by the accused the Chief Magistrate said the evidence proved that Oxley did engage in trafficking in persons and found her guilty Todd told the court that the offence was committed in another jurisdiction and the defence was challenged to provide witnesses to aid in the case He said the defence was of the view that under the act the court has no jurisdiction in the matter hence the sentencing should take into consideration the jurisdiction and that his client has an illness Todd also begged the court to have mercy on his client as she was sorry for the misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the situation reminded that the penalty for the offence was a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years imprisonment forfeiture of property and payment of restitution to the virtual complainant Oxley was sentenced to three years in jail and ordered to pay $2,000,000 restitution to the survivor; $1 million each for psychological treatment and emotional distress Dr Josh Kanhai is running as an independent candidate for Constituency Five in Georgetown – Sophia Pattensen at the June 12 Local Government Elections Kanhai presented his documentation on Nomination Day yesterday at the Critchlow Labour College but we face numerous challenges that have been neglected for far too long our children and young people require better resources the flooding needs a solution and our businesses need support to thrive and I am here to bring that change to our city I will be fully transparent with my decisions and actions ensuring that you are involved in the decision-making process every step of the way and will work tirelessly to ensure that your voices are heard and your needs are addressed I will be accessible to each and every one of you and will make your concerns my top priority” A nine-year-old boy was electrocuted on Boxing Day when he stepped on a live electrical wire in the Pattensen Squatting area a student of Redeemer Primary School was returning home sometime after 8 am after his mother had sent him to buy kerosene oil “I was cleaning up and going to make some tea when a send him to buy the kero about fifteen minutes pass and I didn’t see he come back so I just say a gon beat him cuz he tek lang fu come back and same time meh neighbour son run come and tell me The distraught mother said that she ran to her son’s rescue but was unable to save his life “I pull way de wire from underneath and start pumping he to see if he gon ketch up” Plater said that she left her son’s body on the ground and hurried inside for garments to clothe him to transport him to the hospital but when she returned other neighbours were already placing him into a car She believed that Reid died before being transported to the hospital is when I reach de hospital a doctor break the news to me” “I nearly run mad when a look at meh son in the hospital they had some white thing on he stomach and a mask on he face to get oxygen Plater said that the police told her that they do not have any evidence that illegal wires were there and cannot do anything about that at the moment since the body was also removed from the scene before they came She said that the police told her that they can only deal with the matter she reported the night before her son died Plater said that the report that the police were referring to was the threatening language from residents prior to her son’s electrocution The woman also said that the persons who occupied the houses where the wires were connected denied knowledge of the illegal connection “In front of me and the police they deny that they had current and they saying that is everybody does use current but is them three house had the wire connect how them does press every day and use current? Plater further said that the neighbour who had the illegal connection had threatened her the day before and they were making mockery of her after she started screaming for help with her son The twenty-eight-year-old pregnant mother is hoping that she will be able to gather enough money to afford a decent funeral for her son since the children’s’ father doesn’t support them However Reid’s grandmother who resides in the United States promised to assist with the funeral amongst a few others   The family shares a small shack in the swampy area which is owned by Plater’s mother that her she was relieved of her job and her boss asked her to return after she would have delivered like meh seeing meh son in front meh how he been lying on the wire.” Five alleged bandits were in the wee hours of this morning killed by police in a shootout during a foiled robbery attempt at Pattensen Minister of Public Security Khemraj Ramjattan told Stabroek News that three of the five men have since been identified two in the immediate surroundings of the yard and two in a vehicle nearby They were armed with high-powered weapons and ammunition was also found in the car Ramjattan said that three of the men are known career criminals and the police believe that the men were part of a gang that had been carrying out other robberies across the country He lauded the quick reaction of the police The police have identified the five dead men as follows: AFC MP Sheila Holder said the party was just offering practical assistance to residents She said the party received assistance from a number of organizations and individuals and has started to collaborate with some other agencies that are prepared to help These partners include the Guyana Action Party pastors and members of the Full Gospel Fellowship of Guyana and Guyanese in the Diaspora Technical assistance partners have also come on board Holder urged community groups to come forward and collect the seedlings and meet with like-minded individuals The AFC feels certain that some food items will become unaffordable or will disappear from supermarket shelves requiring a reliance on seasonal indigenous vegetables Holder pointed out that this initiative is aimed at supporting families in lowering their food costs in keeping with the Chinese proverb “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” She explained that the idea had been discussed more than two months ago and was already in the making though the party needed to raise funds to make it a reality Holder said too that the project in no way detracts from government’s ‘Grow more’ campaign adding that her party supported it though the AFC is offering “more meaningful support.” She also said the response to the project would be monitored and sustained accordingly said the AFC expected the government to do more as Guyana strives to stave off the full force of rising food prices globally He also said that while the party is preparing to deal with its concerns in Parliament in the interim it would take steps to assist those in need Though many persons did not attend the launching of the project the attendees were thankful for the initiative and were motivated to get back to their kitchen gardens In the ‘B’ Field community near the Centre several kitchen gardens were easily spotted in the backyards of many homes Tracey Rodney told Stabroek News that the initiative was very considerate and would help her to provide for her family She said “for those of us who have a little yard space at least we could provide for our families.” Harauruni [Linden Soesdyke Highway] farmer Vivian Fredericks was also on hand to collect seedlings He noted that the distribution was timely since he only recently scaled down poultry farming and had started to plant vegetables for self sustenance as well as to sell to persons in his community Compton Lewis who cultivates fruits and vegetables also applauded the initiative adding that it went beyond simply telling persons to grow more “This is more encouragement and at least people would be able to provide healthy food for their children and this will add to what I have,” he said He said it was good that persons in the area have started to grow food and that he was currently engaged in assisting his friend to weed and prepare land for cultivation He said in this way the AFC venture has come in handy Interested persons and communities can contact Co-ordinator Desmond Moses on telephone number 693-5131 or 227-5202 for arrangements to be made for delivery While promising that the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) would have a spanking new headquarters the government has now taken back the land earmarked for the agency at Pattensen East Coast of Demerara  and assigned it to a hotel developer “The GRA new headquarters land was given to someone for a hotel to be constructed on…as part of a country development decision,” a source close to government told Stabroek News When GRA Commissioner-General Godfrey Statia was contacted by Stabroek News and asked about the developments he responded “that question is best answered by the Ministry of Finance” that question is best answered by the Ministry of Finance” Stabroek News yesterday visited the Pattensen area and works were forging ahead for the construction of a hotel by Pasha Global on a large plot of land while next door lands were cleared and a bridge constructed to connect the roadway to the property This newspaper also reached out to Minister of Finance Dr Ashni Singh asking about the lands being used for hotel construction and whether government had future plans for a new building for the revenue agency A new HQ for the GRA has been floated for a number of years The Camp Street building currently in use has experienced a range of problems and traffic congestion has become a major issue concrete works were ongoing at Camp Street and on the Avenue which separates the eastern and western halves of the street “Work is being done to improve the parking and drainage.” The official said that the GRA was responsible for the works being carried out on the western side while a businessman who owns the property on the opposite side of the agency is funding that aspect This newspaper understands that when the concrete works are completed benches and lighting in the Avenue will follow” as a means of improving the aesthetics of the areas between  Quamina and Middle streets on Camp Street the GRA received expressions of interest for the designing of a new headquarters at Liliendaal but the location was not identified The designs were submitted just short of three years after the GRA moved into its Camp Street premises in a much-criticised deal It saw the tax agency paying a monthly rent of around $5M to the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) after the then PPP/C government spent $227M to retrofit the building for the revenue agency The arrangement had been seen as a way of helping the NIS to recover from bad investment deals The building was previously owned by CLICO (Guyana) Inc. which had a large sum outstanding to the NIS when it collapsed then Finance Minister Winston Jordan had lamented the poor state of the current headquarters the APNU+AFC government announced that lands that been allocated to Indian developers of the Sun and Sand Group who had in 2014 turned sod for the project under the Donald Ramotar PPP/C administration The group were also given a casino licence with promise of a US$54M hotel Ramotar had rescinded the licence saying he had no choice since after one year and many promises there was no sign of work to make the venture a reality The lands had been left unattended and persons used the area to graze their cows and sheep the GRA building had been leaking and during an earth tremor in 2020 started to shake The agency had done remedial works to the roof to prevent leaking but no works to remedy structural problems or cracks on the building It is unclear what became of the proposals that were submitted in 2015 the agency again requested proposals for the design and supervision of the construction of a new headquarters at Pattensen It is not clear what persons who tendered for that contract were told by the GRA The Sophia Artists Group yesterday launched a week long exhibition titled “the pride of our community,” that will showcase the talent of young artists in the area the exhibition will be held until August 21 at the Pattensen Community Centre there will also be cultural segment of the programme that will include performances in song The Group was started in July 2009 with a mission to promote the arts in all forms Jordan said the involvement of the community youths in art is a positive step since it would keep them off the streets and give them a sense of purpose he added that the skills they learnt can be built upon and make them professionals in the future boys and girls between the ages of eight and 16 are taught the craft three days a week at the community centre This evening at 6:30pm a gospel concert will be held at the centre while tomorrow there will be a capoeira exhibition dance and drama will be held on  August 20 The exhibition runs from 16:30 to 20:00hrs daily There is an entrance fee of $100 and all proceeds will go towards buying new equipment for the art class Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo yesterday disclosed that the new Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) Headquarters will be constructed at Ogle East Coast Demerara (ECD) and three hotels will be built on the state land which was previously earmarked for this project at Pattensen “The idea is to put the hotels there around the (Arthur Chung) Conference Centre and then the GRA goes out a little bit further which would give easy access to people who have to get the services,” Jagdeo told reporters during a press conference which was held yesterday afternoon at Office of the President the Government had remained silent on the reason for the decision and terms of the transfer Jagdeo yesterday explained that the decision to take away the Pattensen land from the GRA is one Government is “conscious” of and it is not an attempt to “deprive” the agency he said the new GRA Headquarters will be built near to the Ogle four-lane highway so that it can be easily accessible to the entire population following the completion of the various infrastructures that are being put up around the country “…We are now building this infrastructure in a way where when you come across the bridge of a four-lane road going to Parika we are already upgrading the road going to the Wales We said in the future to  make sure that people from Region Three the East Bank and the East Coast and then Georgetown that along the four-lane road which we just started that is where the new GRA Headquarters will go,” Jagdeo explained They can come on the highways from Region Three easily and flow straight into that highway and that is where they will be located And we have massive amounts of land there at Ogle,” he added Jagdeo revealed that the two other hotels that will occupy the state land at Pattensen belong to Edmond Braithwaite a Guyanese living overseas and a Barbadian company Pasha Global has already commenced construction Jagdeo pointed out that there is a need to “bring the hotels closer to the city” we now decided that there will be three hotels there,” he said The construction of the international hotels he said will see the employment of about 1500 to 2000 Guyanese But the Government services have to be done in a manner in which it is accessible to majority of our people and they should not occupy all the prime properties in the country You have to utilize those to create other employment opportunities…To build out our hotels We need 2000 to 3000 rooms to host a proper convention,” Jagdeo told reporters The land at Pattensen is state property and it remains unclear whether it was sold or leased to the hotel developers then Finance Minister Winston Jordan had lamented the poor state of the then GRA’s current headquarters In a letter published in the November 7th edition of Stabroek News of the Pattensen Community Development Council said the road was completed in 2006 after the community benefitted from a road construction project more than 30% of the road’s surface had been compromised and needed to be repaired In addition to easing traffic traversing the East Coast Highway Marks noted that the road is strategically placed on the only carriageway in the Sophia area which is accessible by vehicular traffic via the three bridges—which the community built and maintains—that come from Lamaha Park and other sister communities in Georgetown Officials from the Ministry of Public Works confirmed that the ‘B’ Field road falls under an Urban Development Programme and that monies have indeed been budgeted for its rehabilitation One official stated that there are plans to repair the entire road which also provides access to the area for vehicles and people in Lamaha Park so as to make the flow of traffic smoother that though bids have been submitted by various contracting services the contract for the road has not yet been awarded and certain aspects of the project are still awaiting approval are the main reasons the road has not yet been rehabilitated residents of the area continue to complain and suffer the woes of having to deal with the road on a daily basis stated that in many cases the potholes that litter the road cause damage to buses and cars the water washes away the stones that were thrown into potholes as patch work happens because the road has not been properly tarred Marks stated that in order to alleviate some of the danger and discomfort youths in the community are constantly looking for all types of builder’s waste which they use to “put into the gaping craters that the road has been reduced to.” He is urging the relevant ministry to take action while the dry season prevails as the wet season may bring with it more complications Spiralling child abuse in Guyana has prompted two local non-governmental organisations to join forces to help abused kids and root out the problem Help and Shelter and Every Child Guyana yesterday officially launched the Pickney Project – a programme specially implemented “to improve the lives of children experiencing violence and abuse by promoting the safety and protection of children“ which is being funded by Every Child Guyana was officially launched at the Pattensen Community Centre in Sophia The programme focuses on communities and aims to involve as many members of the community as possible Sophia has been identified as the pilot community for the three-year project similar initiatives will be carried out in Good Hope and in different parts of Region 9 Project Co-ordinator Michael Gillis identified the aims of the project as being five-fold the main aim is to raise awareness with parents and other caregivers about child protection He identified the secondary objectives as being  to  provide counselling and other psychosocial support to children to collaborate with the Guyana Police Force to ensure an effective response to every report of child abuse to work with teachers and health care providers on child protection mechanisms and also to develop a coalition of faith- based organisations community groups and interested individuals who will network and share resources to promote child protection in the communities According to Project Officer Vidyaratha Kissoon Sophia was chosen because members of the community indicated an interest in having such a programme in the area He said that results from a survey conducted also revealed that there was a high rate of abuse in that community Kissoon stated that the programme is aiming to meet the needs of the children in the community and this includes bringing counselling closer to them He also mentioned that the organisers of the project will be accountable to the community and to the general public and promised that there will be open forums where the successes and failures will be discussed the Country Director for Every Child Guyana said that the success of the programme will be evaluated after one year She explained that whatever the administrators of the project learn from working in Sophia will be used as the project is taken into other areas in Guyana She said that it was important that members of the community got involved since it took the proverbial village to raise a child Seaforth also said that yesterday’s launch was held to coincide with the beginning of Child Protection Week under the theme “Every Citizen Also speaking at yesterday’s launching was Colin Marks who is the Community Liaison Officer He said that a survey done in the community between March and April of this year revealed that there was widespread abuse of various forms present in the community He effectively used William Wallace’s poem “The Hand that Rocks the Cradle” in his encouragement to parents to stop hitting their children Marks urged the parents “to start rocking the cradle again and stop knocking it” The organisers expressed the hope that after this initiative comes to a conclusion after three years that other entities will come on board and engage in similar activities The first component of the Sophia ‘Ring Road’ Project is nearing completion and the Ministry of Public Infrastructure’s Community Coordinator Neilson McKenzie says community input would be s a necessity for the project’s success The Ring Road Project will cover the areas known as Liliendaal and Turkeyen and will see the creation of bridges The project’s first component is slated for completion in early May but it is expected that it will be completed before then during a recent visit to the Sophia area to assess the works underway McKenzie said residents have been cooperating because they see the need for development where at least one home had been removed from the reserve to facilitate works The homeowner explained that he understood the necessity for such a move to be taken since it was for the development of the community the necessity for homes to be removed from the dams had been relayed to homeowners by the ministry thus eliminating any conflicts or confusion McKenzie also stressed that greater community participation is a must He said the ministry has been talking with residents and this process is going apace but must be intensified McKenzie added that the ministry is setting up a meeting with the community to sensitise residents on the project “We want to interface with all of our communities; we don’t want any confusion We want people to understand how and why we are doing what we’re doing We’ve got to work hard in hand to ensure that everything comes together,” McKenzie was quoted as saying The idea of a station management committee in Sophia has been floated by Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee in order to improve relations between the police and residents This was reported by GINA following a meeting between the minister and residents of Section B Sophia on Sunday at the Pattensen Multi-purpose Centre The Sophia Mothers Action Group on Social Issues had met Rohee recently at his ministry where they aired their concerns GINA said the residents raised questions concerning the completion of the community centre the removal of dirt from along the roadside and the community’s relationship with the police in the area In response to the community’s concern regarding the police Rohee reportedly indicated that a station management committee could be established consisting of influential persons from the community to work along with the police to improve their relationship Rohee is reported as saying that it was rare for an entire community not to support law and order and that it was a small number of people who engage in deviant acts and use fear to intimidate others He encouraged the mothers’ group to be ambassadors of peace and security against those who are bent on being deviant assuring the group that his ministry would support them in their work In relation to the deviant behaviour of youths in the community Rohee was quoted as saying: “bad company can change a person’s behaviour and also a lack of parental supervision.” life situations such as being in a single-parent home restrict parental supervision which can result in the manifestation of deviant behaviour He added that recently a decision was taken to have males between the ages of 14 and 25 who are imprisoned relocated to another facility where they would not be engaging with hard-core criminals This initiative is intended to facilitate the reformation of the youths Seeking re-election as the representative of Constituency 5 on Georgetown’s City Council Deputy Mayor Akeem Peter says his first priority if voted back in would be completing the handover of sections still to be served by the city council so that they could be developed The area covers Sophia/Liliendaal North & South and Turkeyen Central and Sophia/Pattensen Central told Stabroek News that during his current tenure as council representative many projects have been carried out in the community He said that while he was campaigning during the last local government elections many of the communities in the constituency did not have roads but they were done under his tenure as he lobbied central government to get them done He added that a number of empowerment programmes for women youth programmes and social projects have been carried out in the community in collaboration with the ministries of Social Protection and Public Health Youth and Sport and Non-Governmental Organisations he will continue to work to get the roads in the communities done He also brought up the issue of security in the various communities “We will be lighting up certain areas in the constituency in terms of street lights and also ensuring that each community has a functioning policing group We are working with the office of the police commissioner to make sure those ideas become a reality within the coming year,” he said some persons who reside in communities within the constituency said that problems still abound told Stabroek News that drainage is a major issue and that there is also a mosquito infestation in the area The resident said that during the last campaign they were promised certain things but no change has come told Stabroek News that their area is also infested with mosquitoes and the drains remain clogged said that he has always made himself available to speak with residents especially for the last year of my tenure as deputy mayor The Deputy Mayor added that he has held meetings at the ‘B’ Field Sophia recreational centre and has spoken to residents of the area the youngest candidate for the constituency told Stabroek News that though she is young she does not feel her age will stop her from being a good council representative Harris related that she initially found it a bit challenging I’ve become more confident at speaking and socialising with them and now I’m more relaxed,” said Harris The young woman stated that aside from the infrastructural work that every other candidate will use as a focus of their campaign she also plans to pay attention to the youths of the constituency She explained that this focus is because of the issue of delinquency in the communities that are part of Constituency 5 “I would like to help the youths because in our community there are a lot of delinquents and I’m targeting those areas to decline the juvenile delinquency rate,” she said Harris added that she would like to get those youths into trade schools and other programmes that would benefit them and she has received a great deal of support from the veterans in her party and even persons in the community She added that she has learnt a lot from the experience so far who is a member of the South Liliendaal Progressive Development Group which has already undertaken some independent work within the community is competing as an independent candidate on behalf of the said group Hermanstein previously told Stabroek about the works that has been carried out in the community which happened as a result of the group coming together and raising funds which is a registered non-government organisation carried out works such as repairing a walkway bridge and desilting canals in the community all without the help of the current council representative The works in the community were all completed as recently as July 2018 The man stated that he plans to continue to work to improve the community for the residents Die Sanierung von Schloss Marienburg in Pattensen soll 2024 beginnen und 2030 abgeschlossen sein Süd- und Westflügel des
