The investment opportunity for the company's employees was made possible by EUR 550,000 in crowd financing from Volksbank Kurpfalz
Employees can participate directly in the project financially via the crowdinvesting platform VR-Crowd
The financing is supplemented by a bank loan of EUR 1.1 million from VR Bank Würzburg

Nowakowski tweets: "This is the first ever English release of the original comic books authored by two artists I had [the] pleasure to know who are sadly no longer with us (Boguslaw Polch - art
The art on the cover doesn't look like any version of Geralt I've ever seen in the modern day
but Nowakowski reminds us that it's "retro" because it was made in the '90s
That version of Geralt has certainly seen some things though
This comic is clearly important to Nowakowski, as he writes, "I remember buying the original Polish release issue in the newsagent kiosks. Something for true collectors." The comics are based on Andrzej Sapkowski's early stories
The Witcher was a popular franchise long before the games and TV show transformed it into a major global franchise
It began as a series of novels by writer Andrzej Sapkowski which debuted in 1990 and quickly found a firm fan following
written by Maciej Parowski and illustrated by Bogusław Polch
was published in the pages of Polish magazine Komiks
Those stories have never been translated into English – until now
The Witcher: Classic Collection is a 296-page trade paperback that will include all six of the original story arcs with their original full-color art
The stories included in the new volume are: 'A Road with No Return,' 'The Betrayal,' 'Geralt,' 'The Lesser Evil,' 'The Last Wish,' and 'The Bounds of Reason.' These stories are largely based on Sapkowski's early Witcher short stories
except for 'The Betrayal,' which was adapted from one of Sapkowski's unused ideas
Above you can see Boguslaw Polch's cover for the new volume
though they have occasionally also looked back to Sapkowski's work for inspiration
The Witcher: Classic Collection is published by Dark Horse Comics on March 18

After graduating from Florida State University in 2016
Andrea Ploch moved to New York City to become a paralegal
and quickly discovered that it wasn’t the right path for her
She decided to instead follow her interest in the public policy and foreign affairs sectors
which brought her to American University School of Communication (AU SOC)
She is now a first-year student in the Political Communication MA program and currently working at APCO Worldwide
She plans to explore global public relations in the short term
before pursuing a career in foreign service with the State Department
SOC: Talk about your experience prior to entering the Political Communication program and what led you to AU
I took some time to consider what my career goals were
I knew I wanted to be in Washington DC and eventually join the State Department as a foreign service officer
I considered political communication to be a better option
Domestic issues are intrinsically intertwined with diplomatic duties
I considered that if I did not know my country well from within
including the processes by which we communicate
how to read the current political environment
I would not be able to be an accurate representative of the US
SOC: Talk about your experience working as an intern at APCO Worldwide
I considered the internship because of my legal studies background and the opportunity to be paid (as an intern)
I immediately knew public relations was the field I wanted to pursue domestically before foreign service
I am more aware and strategic in my thinking because of the intertwining between my current internship and my master’s program
SOC: How has your experience in the Political Communication program directly impacted your day-to-day responsibilities as an intern at APCO Worldwide
Are there any particular skills that you have learned that you apply to your job every day
AP: I understand the jargon of the field better
As someone with zero prior experience in communications
SOC: What have been your favorite aspects of the Political Communication program
you are not a child anymore and the teachers reflect that
Working 40 hours a week and attending full-time graduate school
my professors have worked with me in every step of the way
and advice for the obstacles I have voiced concerns about
Especially since when you meet other people in the program that work full-time too
and somehow throw in marathon training and still turn in everything perfectly
the professors understand that we are not all alike
how one handles their work differs from another

Home > SeaHelp > Axopar 28 Cabin from Boote Polch: SeaHelp – Two new response boats for the Yellow Angels on the water
What would Europe’s largest breakdown and recovery service for recreational boating to provide assistance in non-life-threatening situations be without the appropriate
To meet the growing need for modern response boats
the SeaHelp fleet received two additions in June 2022
also known as the “yellow angels on the water”
are not only up to 48 knots (just under 90 km/h) fast
but on top of that also pure “pack mules”: salvage balloons
jump-start box and all sorts of other utensils that are particularly useful for rapid assistance at sea are on board in the large back boxes
But SeaHelp does not only attach great importance to the quality of the hull
also the equipment of the rescue boats has to be of top quality and extremely reliable
sufficient safety life jackets for up to 12 people are on board for passenger transport
and diving operations up to 25 meters are possible thanks to special diving equipment carried on board
By means of powerful suction pumps and air bags
leaky boats can be kept afloat. In addition
the equipment of each SeaHelp rescue boat includes a 2 KW power generator as well as standard spare parts such as V-belts
impellers or thermostats for the most common engine manufacturers such as Volvo Penta
No less than two of SeaHelp’s fast, robust, yellow-painted response boats were added this season. “In order to be able to cover also our new bases in Pula and on the island Rab with professional operation boats
we had ordered two further boats of the proven and several times distinguished Axopar 28 series”
says SeaHelp managing director Wolfgang Dauser
This would significantly reduce waiting times for SeaHelp members when calling for help in these regions
the second of the two new Axopar 28 Cabin boats was personally taken over by managing director Wolfgang Dauser in Traben-Trarbach in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich
Rhineland-Palatinate; the takeover of the first boat already took place three weeks earlier on May 5
On the occasion of the test drive and the takeover of the boat, SeaHelp managing director Wolfgang Dauser answered the questions of Patric Polch, managing director of Boote Polch and Axopar dealer for the German-speaking region
– Of course in a relaxed atmosphere on the inviting
spacious bow outside area of the new multi-purpose boat already branded in the typical SeaHelp colors and logo on the beautiful Moselle River

Also popular with recreational boaters in the private sector
the 28-foot (9.18-meter) long and up to 2.95-meter wide multipurpose sports cruiser Axopar 28 from the Finnish shipyard of the same name is a multifunctional boat with a modern
dynamic style combined with an agile and fuel-efficient hull that boasts excellent seaworthiness even in rough seas
the walkaround cruiser offers plenty of space for all the needs of an operational boat with rescue tasks thanks to its spacious configuration
and the walkable deck layout guarantees safe freedom of movement and a functional platform
the two-level hull with low center of gravity and deep V configuration ensures good directional stability and grip during turns
important especially when waves and wind make navigation difficult
has an enclosed cabin – important for the rescue team to be able to work well protected and concentrated during longer rescue operations even in extreme heat
After a rebuild of the boats and equipment there for their future rescue and assistance mission
the stability test for commercial towing operations then followed; Sea-Help is the only company in Croatia that has this certification and is allowed to tow private boats commercially
SeaHelp’s response boats can be called using the handy SeaHelp app
or by calling the free emergency number for Europe 0043 50 43 112 (or the alternative emergency number for Europe 00385 919 112 112
Equipped with two 200-horsepower outboards each
also received complete navigation equipment from Raymarine
as well as a tracking system to coordinate operations
The special searchlight system with more than 60,000 lumens of light output was supplied by Hella-Marine
ensuring full operational readiness even in the dark

The British diesel outboard manufacturer Cox Powertrain, working with its German distributor, Diesel Power, and Axopar’s German dealer, Boote Polch, commissioned the installation of twin 300-hp CXO300 diesel outboards on an Axopar 37
the CXO300 diesel outboard engine offers 25% better fuel efficiency
and higher torque in the lower range than a similarly rated gasoline outboard
the CXO300 diesel outboards were tested on the Axopar 37 during sea trials in Lymington
consuming 37.51 gallons per hour at 4,000 rpm
During trials on the Mosel River in Germany in calm conditions
the Axopar 37 reached top speeds of 46.3 knots at 3,900 rpm
“the combination of the Axopar 37 and the CXO300 diesel outboard is attractive for many market segments including the boat tender sector
geographical markets with a limited availability of gasoline and also for those looking for a dramatically improved range.”
Diesel outboards also allow for a single fuel and lower volatility
Instead of having to carry diesel for a generator aboard a gas-powered boat or carrying gas for a tender on a diesel-powered boat
Diesel is also less volatile than gasoline
Cox says the CXO300 also has lower emissions
producing 20-35% fewer CO2 emissions than comparable gasoline outboards
The diesel outboards weigh more than their gasoline cousins and are more expensive by horsepower
with an expected operating lifetime three times longer than a gasoline engine
the total cost will be lower than a gas outboard
Axopar is not alone in offering diesel outboards. Compact Mega Yachts (CMY), a Finnish start-up, is building two new cruisers which will be exclusively powered by triple 300-hp diesel outboards from Swedish company OXE
CMY says the boats will have an “adaptable powering” mode
which when operating on one engine will give the cruisers a range of about 3,000 nautical miles
a computerized control system determines whether to use one
two or three engines and which ones to run for balance
When an engine is not in use it is automatically lifted out of the water
and the CMY173 at 57 feet LOA will essentially be the same
except that the slightly longer CMY173 will have a third cabin
The OXE outboards are marinized versions of BMW’s 3-liter
six-cylinder car engines and like the Cox outboards promise lower emissions
better fuel economy and higher torque than gasoline engines
CMY says diesel outboards are more efficient than gas outboards on larger yachts
OXE says their 300-hp engines can consume up to 40% less fuel than a gasoline engine
CMY will put the outboards in a locker on the transom
Maintenance can be performed by lowering the engines to access the front
and the gearbox and props can be serviced from the swim platform when raised
The first CMY is scheduled to be launched in 2022
