A Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 mobile crane during the installation of an Enercon E-101 wind power plant

Germany used a Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 to install 3 MW turbines at a wind energy plant in Preussisch Oldendorf
The Enercon E-101 wind turbines have a hub height of 99 metres
the LTM 11200-9.1 was configured with an 82 m telescopic boom with Y-pattern guying and a 31.6 m lattice jib
The hydraulically luffable 6.5 m long luffing lattice jib was also used
The lifting gear and hook block came to a total of 66.5 tonnes

because I can set up the entire E-101 from a single position
I never have to reposition – that's a huge advantage
the extension was namely reduced from 19 m to about 10 m.”
Other advantages of the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 included a short set-up time
little ballast needed to be transported to the work site
the LTM 11200-9.1 required only 102 tonnes of ballast.
