German firefighter Anike Ekina says being named the country's "Hottest Firefighter" won't change her a bit
The first responder from the Schwarzenbek Volunteer Fire Department in Schleswig-Holstein now holds an honor that would typically cause Instagram models with 1.6 million Instagram followers to lose a step in the life-saving department
I will remain loyal to the fire brigade!” Ms
Ekina said about her life that now includes performing on an alto saxophone at parties in Ibiza and in clubs around Europe
she's a dual-threat running back who can do the dirty work (saving lives) while also sliding out of the backfield to freelance (music career)
“I have already recorded a few songs, and I wanted to get started as a saxophonist, but then coronavirus came along,” Ekina told Jam Press
the saxophone career came together once Germany figured out it would never fully beat the 'VID and now the 36-year-old Ekina is out on tour and battling raging fires back home
And somehow she finds time to maintain an OnlyFans page ($14.99/mo.) where she writes
I LIVE MY DREAM AND HOLD ON TO MY GOALS."
According to some reports
being a firefighter is the most stressful job due to the physical and psychological demand put on the first responders
But Anike went out and did something about the psychological part of the job by picking up the sax

.st1{fill-rule:evenodd;clip-rule:evenodd;fill:#2a2a2a}By Art PolakowskiClare O'Malley receives her award from RYCO's Jim Newton.A casual follower of Summit High School sports would probably identify field hockey as a game in which the Hilltoppers have historically enjoyed success
Yet while the SHS girls have logged many more winning than losing seasons throughout the program’s 40-year history
they had never won a State Section championship
only in her second year as Summit’s head coach but her 10th with the program
and a person who obviously did the research
“Winning a state title was our goal from the first day of practice.”
the Lady Hilltoppers secured that first-ever NJSIAA crown in improbable fashion
consecutively defeating the Tournament’s top three seeds as the road team
Summit won at second-seeded Chatham on Nov
and in the title round at top-seeded Bernards on Nov
as was the case in so many of Summit’s triumphs during a campaign that concluded with an 18-5 record
was senior center midfielder Clare O’Malley
“Clare’s certainly the best player at Summit since I began coaching here (as an assistant) in the 2000 autumn,” Schwarzenbek enthused
“And I can’t imagine the school’s ever had anyone better.”
O’Malley is our RYCO / Independent Press ‘Athlete of the Month’ for November
yet Clare’s also totally unselfish in her approach to the game,” related Schwarzenbek
“She always seeks to help teammates every way she can
that’s combined with the fact Clare is a terrific athlete.”
Operating at field hockey’s most vital position
Yet she also led Summit in scoring (by a wide margin) via her 21 goals
which she likewise parlayed with 17 assists
and her primary offensive role was setting up our forwards to score,” Schwarzenbek explained
“Yet she also wound up with the most goals because of her ability to convert corners and other set pieces.”
O’Malley connected for tallies in each of Summit’s four November matches
She notched the first goal early in the second half of what was then a 0-0 deadlock with Chatham
and assisted on another in the resulting 3-0 win
a match whose venue was an added concern to Schwarzenbek since the Hilltoppers were playing on grass (rather than an artificial surface) for the only time all season
O’Malley scored the game’s lone goal with 5:20 remaining for a 1-0 victory
Clare assisted on Sarah Cummings’ goal early in the second half and followed that up with a score of her own to provide a 2-0 lead in a match Summit was to win
The Hilltopper season concluded with a 3-1 defeat to Madison in the State Semifinals
O’Malley will play field hockey on the Division I level when she continues her education at the University of Delaware
“She won’t immediately take over as a center midfielder
but I fully expect Clare to earn a spot in the starting lineup as a Delaware freshman next September,” Coach Schwarzenbek predicted
