Here's how to complete the Bird Of Prey quest by finding the "ghost" poacher
Wondering where to find the poacher in the Kopanina forests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? This pernicious and annoyingly well-hidden poacher forms part of the side quest "Bird Of Prey" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
which tasks you with ridding the Trosky region of poachers
In this final step of the quest
you have to track down the so-called "ghost" poacher somewhere in the Kopanina forests to the north of Trosky castle
But the region you have to search is massive
and the poacher's camp is very well-hidden
you could be stuck searching those woods for ages before you find what you're after
we'll show you exactly where to find the poacher in the Kopanina forests for the "Bird Of Prey" quest
Bird Of Prey is listed as a "Task" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but it's actually a long line of quests with some actual ramifications on the main story. In this questline, you're tasked by first Gamekeeper Vostatek and then Gamekeeper Varel with ridding the land of various groups of poachers
Here's the order of tasks in the Bird Of Prey quest:
the Bird Of Prey quest is very straightforward (albeit time-consuming) until you reach that final step
Varel told you that this so-called "ghost" poacher is particularly troublesome and hard to track down
and it's true - you can spend ages combing the Kopanina forests before you see any sighting of the poacher's camp
But allow us to speed things up for you by telling you where exactly to look for the poacher below
We won't waste time - the poacher in the Kopanina forests can be found in a small cave by the row of cliffs near the southwest edge of the Kopanina forests
not far from the road that skirts along the region's edge
You can see the poacher's exact location on our map below
but you're sure to find it if you ride (or walk) along the nearby road until you get near to the cliffs that are visible on the map right next to the road
Once you've found those rocky cliffs in person
hug close to them as you move around to their other side (the side facing towards the forest
Keep following the edge of the cliffs and you'll come across the poacher's camp
the poacher who's been giving Gamekeeper Varel so much trouble is a very familiar face
Hands up if you guessed it ahead of time..
It's Hans Capon! While Henry was off doing his own thing and helping everyone out to make some money
As you approach him sitting by his campfire
you can have a rather frosty chat with him about what on earth is going on
and he'll agree to give you his poaching kit
whether or not you succeed at convincing Hans to vacate the area
you can return to Gamekeeper Varel and present him with Hans's poaching kit as "proof" that you dealt with the poacher
Hans will have disappeared regardless of the outcome of your previous conversation

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is filled with many side quests
but those in which Henry gets to deliver justice are some of the most cathartic
Henry comes across a drunk gamekeeper while trying to find his dog
gamekeeper Vostatek tasks Henry with ridding the Trosky region of nasty poachers
we've found all the poachers in the game and have broken down how to get them
Here's how you can find all the poachers in KCD 2's Bird of Prey quest
The first poacher can be found in the forest near Rocktower pond
as the game will mark his general location on the map
you can follow our map marker to find the specific location of his camp
Once you're there, you have the option to either kill him or take him to the bailiff Thrush. It doesn't matter which one you choose. Killing him is easy when he's sleeping. Simply sneak up to him and perform a stealth kill
confront him and either resolve the situation with your charm or beat him into submission
report your actions to Vostatek and get tasked with finding a second poacher
The second poacher can be a little thicker to find
Vostatek tells you to visit the nearby settlement's fisherman's wife for information
the wife tells you that the resident tanner is the poacher
You can choose to speak with the tanner and sort out the conflict
but the real poacher is actually easy to find
Exit the settlement and go up north alongside the forest
and you'll come across a buried treasure site near a tree that has the poacher's mark
You can steal some items from the secret hatch along with the Vidlak poacher's kit here
Continue east from the den to get to the poacher's camp
You might have to wait a couple of hours for him to show up there
confront him and try to convince him to accompany you on a visit to the bailiff
only use your fists to beat him into submission
choose the option to take him to the bailiff for his execution
Vostatek will reward you with 3x Frikadelle
Vostatek will tell you to visit the gamekeeper in Nebakov to find more poachers
Make your way to Nebakov on the southeast end of the map
and you'll find gamekeeper Varel just outside the settlement
Speak with him to get your next assignment
The third poacher is located in Slatego forest
You're told to talk with gravedigger Ignatius near Apollonia to get more details
Ignatius tells you to check out an unfinished cottage somewhere behind the gravesite
which has a few treasures but nothing noteworthy
Go towards the south of the location of the unfinished cottage and you'll find the poacher's camp
you can check for the poacher's sign on the trees nearby
or go to the exact location marked on the map above
take the Slatego poacher's knife from his stash at the camp and summon Mutt
Use the "Track" command on Mutt and give him the knife
simply follow Mutt as he leads you to the poacher's location west of the camp near the forest's edge
Fend off the wolves and then you can loot the poacher's corpse
Head back to gamekeeper Varel and tell him about the dead poacher
he'll tell you about the fourth poacher who has set up camp in the woods near Semine Pond
visit Bonnie and Zine's hideout south of the Semine Pond
and she'll give you more information about the poacher
take the road uphill from the hideout and go further south
You might happen across a poacher skinning a deer near a makeshift grave here
Try to take him out and he will start running back to the camp nearby to alert the other poachers
take out all the poachers in the camp and loot all of them to ensure you get the Lower Semine poacher's kit
you have to find evidence of poaching before progressing the quest
The first evidence is the deer's corpse that the poacher was skinning near the makeshift graveyard
The second piece of evidence is the deer sin being tanned near the edge of the camp
The third piece of evidence is the hanging carcass which can be found where the Lower Semine poacher was sitting
go back to gamekeeper Varel and he'll tell you about the final poacher
The "ghost" poacher is residing in the Kopanina forests
which can be found to the north of the Trosy castle
You'll find a shrine at the edge of the forest on the way
Stick to the road going north of the shrine and you'll find the poacher's camp to the west end of the forest
Surprise: The "ghost" poacher is none other than Sir Hans Capon
You can try to persuade him to leave the camp
but regardless of the conversation's outcome
Hans will give you his poaching kit as evidence
Take his kit to gamekeeper Varel to conclude the quest
You can lie to Varel about the poacher's true identity

a 22-year-old fashion sensation currently based in New York has rapidly become a prominent figure in the fashion industry
He has showcased his talents on some of the most prestigious runways
Neil who is managed by Anima (Anima Creatives) has made his mark through high-profile ad campaigns for renowned brands such as Hermes
and future aspirations as he continues to shape the world of fashion
How did you get your first big break?
- My first significant breakthrough came when I made my international debut in Milan
This moment was pivotal in my career and opened doors to numerous opportunities
I had the privilege of working with other prestigious designer brands such as Fendi
What’s the difference between working in India and abroad?
there’s a significant difference in working internationally
I feel that my work is more appreciated and recognized on a global scale
The opportunities available are far greater
and I consistently receive better compensation
This international exposure not only validates my efforts but also provides a broader platform for growth and success
What kind of assignments excite you more—print shoots or runway?
Nothing compares to the rush of adrenaline you get when you walk down that runway and feel completely in your element
How do you train and prepare yourself for assignments?
I don't follow a specific 'training' or 'preparation' routine before assignments
and keeping a positive and joyful attitude on set
What advice would you give to aspiring models looking to groom themselves for international gigs?
Be different from the others; you don’t need to do anything crazy
Show who you are when you meet casting directors
so make sure you’re giving it your all
How do you compare opportunities for models in India and abroad
models often don't receive the recognition they deserve
Modeling isn’t valued as much as it should be; for example
celebrities—actors and actresses—are usually the ones who get the spotlight
and it's rare for models to be featured as showstoppers or on magazine covers
models in India aren't well-compensated
and they receive the recognition and remuneration they deserve

and I grew up in it and consistently surrounded by its influence
It was a natural feeling to grow up interested and curious about our world’s reliance on energy and how I could contribute to it.”
Which of your professional achievements are you most proud of
“Early in my career as a field sales professional in the Barnett Shale
I worked for Varel International and experienced extraordinary growth and market share gain

was a monumental accomplishment.” In addition
[there] would be the opportunity to lead Varel Energy Solutions as a first-time CEO through the COVID-19 pandemic

who founded two highly successful companies before the age of 40 and currently leads Permian Basin-focused Wing Resources
is today’s Forty Under 40 featured honoree
Nick’s first job out of college was as a natural gas analyst
He said looking at the data day-to-day was the motivation to start his own business at 25 years old chasing the Fayetteville Shale by co-founding Elephant Oil & Gas
which eventually expanded into the Midland and Delaware basins
Nick went on to launch Wing Resources in 2016
Wing Resources is a Permian Basin-focused mineral and royalty acquisition company backed by private equity firm Natural Gas Partners
The company’s assets cover more than 200,000 gross acres with interest in over 6,000 wells throughout the prolific basin
despite founding two highly successful companies before the age of 40
Nick said he feels like he’s not doing enough
“I feel like there’s so much more to do,” he said
“I’m one of these guys that will never stop
I enjoy the industry and the people way too much
I wake up every day looking forward to it.”
“I feel like there’s so much more to do,” he says
Varel co-founded Elephant Oil & Gas to pursue opportunities in the Fayetteville Shale
the company expanded into the Midland and Delaware basins
Its significant returns for partners and stakeholders ultimately led to its sale to Talon Oil and Gas II in 2012
a Permian Basin-focused mineral and royalty acquisition company
Its assets cover more than 200,000 gross acres
interest in more than 1,000 horizontal wells and more than 6,000 total wells throughout the Midland and Delaware basins in West Texas and New Mexico
“We grew it organically one track at a time and one acquisition at a time,” Varel says
“We timed the market right by purchasing large amounts of Tier-One minerals in the Permian Basin in 2016 and 2017
A lofty task: Wing Resources was an instant success
and Varel says he initially struggled to keep pace with rapid growth management
“Building the internal mechanisms from scratch to manage interest in more than 6,000 wells and more than 100,000 gross barrels of oil equivalent per day in the Permian was a big challenge,” he says
“Hiring the right people and the team collectively working overtime met the challenge.”
On lessons learned: “Good oil and gas assets have a narrative,” says Varel
they need to fit within with the macro story of the industry at that time.”
Advice for young professionals: “Keep learning,” Varel says
“The great thing about this industry is someone can learn something new every day.”

CARROLLTON -- Varel Oil and Gas is staking it’s claim on the curve bit market by utilizing decades of bit design experience with accurate
predictive simulation software to target what directional companies and operators need most: consistent
Varel focused on designing bits with consistent yield
by managing tool face geometry and optimizing side cutting tendency
we are collaborating with directional companies to devise unique BHA and operational solutions that benefit the entire team of service companies and operators
Tool face geometry is managed by cutter back rake schemes and the placement of cutting structure elements that create a combination of a passive tool face during kick-off and increased ROP along the curve as the trajectory is set
The correlation of the simulation software results with actual dulls
and tungsten carbide shock stud contact with the formation in different inclinations and ROPs
An example of collaborating directly with directional companies provided a solution with low depth of cut and the use of higher RPM motors
Smaller cutters and shock studs reduce torque for tool face control and better distribute cutting forces along the active profile
This resulted in consistent yields while maintaining desired ROP through the curve
The combination of design parameters and teamwork with directional companies has allowed for curves being drilled with 60% rotating time and 40% higher yields than planned
and other directional PDC designs across North America

Paper- and Board Mill Varel reduced web breaks to a minimum with the implementation of Procemex web monitoring and inspection systems
The solutions substantially increased knowledge about problems and their root causes which led to a significant decrease of unknown web breaks
A success story between two companies that shows how investments in quality management and inspection systems through vision into the paper making process pays off in the long term
It’s a matter of high concern for paper manufacturers to keep web breaks at minimum level
the target is always to achieve excellent paper quality at high speeds without suffering excessive process downtime
A leading provider of camera technology to the paper industry to meet these requirements is Procemex
The company’s core excellence lies in web monitoring and inspection systems (WMS and WIS) which has been implemented with several key clients in paper industry – among others Papier- u
The company is an important manufacturer of packaging paper especially for the food sector and produces cardboard and corrugated board for the international packaging industry
in connection of machine 4 (PM4) conversion into a multi-functional-machine
Varel replaced its old web monitoring system after having tested several different monitoring system candidates
“Our objective was to deliver only first quality paper to the slitter winder to avoid possible breaks and therefore
to reduce downtime in the further process steps” says Holger Droege
The choice was made for the web inspection and web monitoring system from Procemex
wide image range coverage and light sensitivity of Procemex cameras was crucial for our decision”
“The integrated web monitoring and inspection system offer now the possibility to track our products through the process within one system
Procemex solution could be integrated easily into our IT environment.”
The cooperation between Procemex and Varel has evolved ever since
It started with the implementation of a Piccolo system (a small WMS with few cameras for web break monitoring) on PM4 in 2013 and continued with PM5 in 2014
At that time both paper machines were equipped with the web monitoring system for paper web and break monitoring
In the next expansion step in 2017 Varel commissioned Procemex web inspection systems for both PM4 and PM5
The purpose of web inspection system delivery was to reduce slitter winder downtime; they now had a camera system installed to discover defect and the root-cause of those defects
we can now detect them at an early stage and reduce winder downtime,” says Thomas Müller
Both paper machines are today equipped with twelve to sixteen web monitoring cameras
The web inspection beams have a defect detection capability of 0.50 mm2
The slitter winder 5 has three cameras and it is further planned to equip the new slitter winder 4 with web monitoring cameras as well
For the employees at Varel it was important to carry out the project implementation of Procemex systems efficiently with short stillstands in order to keep any interruptions of the production to a minimum
“Procemex lead the preparation with experience so that the installation of the web inspection beam could be completed within one short maintenance shut”
Further demands of Varel were mill wide access to the system and server virtualization as well as the capture of the tambour diameter
“Procemex carried out well our wishes and the results are convincing: At the end
we have seen a notable rise in production volume due to the significant 30% decrease of unknown web breaks at slitter winder
which also enabled our team to take action against and to prevent these breaks more efficiently”
A special feature in the cooperation between Procemex and Varel was having the cooling of technical elements
as web monitoring cameras usually require a high amount of air
especially for the cooling of the components within the dryer section
The amount of previously installed cameras at Varel already showed a great air requirement
which Varel did not want to increase with the implementation of further components
And Procemex also found an answer for this
“The opportunity for us was to develop a solution to reduce the air consumption of the system”
“A lot of measuring and testing has been performed with Varel on site to finally develop and implement a new cooling concept
which allows the use of water to cool the components as well as a series connection with the cameras
We are particularly pleased that the system is also applicable for other customers and can be adapted
we can also help other paper companies to lift their production to a new level.”
Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel is a leading producer in the German paper industry and runs one of the largest production sites of the European paper industry
The company manufactures recycled cardboard and fluting and liners for the national and international packaging industry
Procemex is a global leader in the vision business in pulp
who specialized in designing and manufacturing smart camera and lighting solutions for integrated web inspection and web monitoring systems
Web monitoring and web inspection for eliminating web breaks or minimizing downtime in processes is Procemex’s core business that lies in mastering optical imaging and image processing
starting from the very beginning of the process: camera sensors
Procemex is a global leader in integrated web monitoring and web inspection solutions in pulp & paper industry
Procemex’s fastest and most accurate smart camera-based solutions eliminate web breaks
minimize downtime in processes and help you to secure product quality
Procemex is a 100% vision company – a single source provider
Having completed a large-scale hybrid power storage system in the City of Varel in Niedersachsen
are starting to operate the system from November 1
The system consists of two types of storage batteries
lithium-ion and NaS batteries (total capacity: 11.5MW/22.5MWh) to take advantage of their different features
Utilizing lithium-ion batteries with a high power charge and discharge output
and the long duration capacity of NaS batteries
the system maintains the electric power supply and demand balance and aims to establish a business model for power trading through the system in the region where wind power adoption is accelerating
Germany aims to shift more than 80% of its domestic electric power demand to renewable energy by 2050 under its “Energiewende“ energy transition policy by actively introducing renewable energy resources such as wind and solar power
Because of the recent expansion of renewable energy use in Germany
conventional power plants for maintaining electric power supply stability are falling into disuse
there is a rapidly growing need for technology to replace the role of such power plants
Labor and Transport in the state are working together with EWE-Verband
an association managing the electric power supply to 17 districts and four cities in Niedersachsen
The four parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the project on March 19
Niedersachsen's energy provider cooperating with the German parties
teamed up and concluded an implementation document (ID) to officially launch the project
Following the City of Varel granting permission to establish a large-scale hybrid power storage system
the facility foundation construction and machine assembly were completed
a commissioning has been finished and hence operation will commence from November 1
A ceremony will be held to mark the operation of the large-scale hybrid power storage system at 10:00 a.m
(Central European Time - CET) on November 1
Takeshi Yagi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Federal Republic of Germany
Enak Ferlemann Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure and many distinguished attendees will take part in the ceremony
The demonstration project will be carried out over a three-year period up to February 2020
The project aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of the large-scale hybrid power storage system designed by taking advantage of the features of lithium-ion batteries (capacity: 7.5MW/2.5MWh) with a high power charge/discharge output and durable
large capacity NAS® batteries (capacity: 4MW/20MWh)
in combination with Hitachi Power Solutions’ power grid information and battery control system*1 that controls the both batteries and enables the following four functions by communicating information for the electricity trading
the four functions of primary control reserve*2 supply
and reactive power supply*6 that stabilize local grid voltage will be realized to replace the functions of conventional power plants
Electricity trading will be executed in line with the EWE Group's electricity trading system
Creating a virtual power plant (VPP)*7 in collaboration with Germany's “enera” project*8
various types of energy sources in the country will also be combined and managed for the electricity trading
The aims of this project are to contribute to maintaining an economical supply and demand balance and to ensure a non-variable supply from renewable energy sources

All that is missing now is the A350 freighter itself
The aircraft has taken a decisive step forward in recent weeks with the arrival of first components from the plants in Stade
Airbus Aerostructures and Premium Aerotec (PAI) teams met for the so-called ‘first metal cuts’
although metal was not actually involved every time.
witnessed the production starts at Varel and Bremen live
She considers them a special moment on the path to A350F industrialisation
I was lucky enough to celebrate the first flight of the A350
together with many other colleagues” Melanie says
it is vital to make one of the biggest evolutions of this fantastic aircraft a reality
a lot of our colleagues work on exciting and challenging tasks to achieve this goal
we have taken a major step forward together.”
June 2023: kick-off with the lower shell in Stade
introducing the A350F will have a big impact on existing fuselage shell production
Additional CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced plastic) bonding jigs will be procured
in particular for the upper shell which will contain a large part of the future cargo door cut-out
similar to the A350 passenger version
For its first flight and steep take-off tests
the first A350F will be equipped with flight test instrumentation (FTI)
requiring substantial reinforcement of the lower shell’s skin laminate.
The three large CFRP doublers required for this purpose were manufactured by the Stade fuselage shell production organisation using a special process
the doublers will be mounted to the normal outer skin using more than 4,000 additional rivets.
“Since this process would occupy our automated riveting system for a full week and in order to minimise the impact on the series production process activities
we carried out this assembly work with a small team during the summer break” explains Thomas Meyn
industrial project manager at the Stade site“
The employees on the shopfloor and in the support functions were willing to work during the summer break to ensure the start of assembly”
July 2023: first thermoplastic cut for intercostal component in Bremen
The first component referred to as the freighter intercostal has been industrialised and is ready for delivery
This component is essential for the frame structure of the forward cargo door
It is only one of roughly 1,400 components that are industrialised at the Bremen plant and will later be installed in all ASA workshares.
These components are the joining elements between the frames
Production of the thermoplastic components is one of the crucial factors for the assembly of the freighter
The Centre of Competence for technological development and industrialisation of complex thermoplastic CFRP components has yet again demonstrated its expertise for the freighter project
This is largely thanks to a high degree of employee engagement at the Bremen site and successful implementation of automated and digitised systems
“The A350F is a great challenge for all those involved
First metal cut at Premium Aerotec in Varel
Premium Aerotec is responsible for some of the A350F’s major components and is an important supplier to the programme
With the ‘first metal cut’ at the Varel site
the manufacture of the first machined part
Premium Aerotec has now launched production of this new aircraft type
The detailed parts and subassemblies for section (S) 13/14 will be delivered to the Nordenham plant
where they will be assembled to form a complete section
the individual shells originate from Augsburg and Stade and the floor structure is produced in Nordenham
After the components have been joined in Hamburg to form the complete sections
both will be transferred to the system installation stage.
The first steps of the A350F industrialisation have been taken and the process continues
“Let’s take advantage of this energy boost to master the upcoming tasks and make freighter history!”
The A350F is based on the world-class A350-1000
The freighter features a fuselage length optimised for cargo operations and an extra large cargo door on the main deck
Over 70% of the airframe is made from advanced materials
enabling Airbus to reduce the take-off weight by over 30 tonnes for the same mission
The aircraft thus provides an advantage of at least 20% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions over its competitor product
With a payload capability of up to 111 tonnes (five tonnes more payload and 11% more volume than its competitor)
it will be the first to fulfil the ICAO CO2 emissions standards for 2028.
Coordinated organisation for developing and producing the sections
Aerostructures develops the forward section
whereas the engineering responsibility for the aft section lies with Airbus Operations
Both sections are manufactured in close collaboration between Premium Aerotec and Aerostructures
The forward shells and the main deck cargo floor for both sections come from the Nordenham shop floor
the rear upper and lower shells from Stade
with Varel supplying the surrounding area of the door for both the smaller forward doors and the large main deck cargo door
Section assembly for S16/18 as well as the general system installation for both sections take place at the Hamburg site.
