CHAMBERSBURG - Students and teachers from Chambersburg Area School District will be traveling to Germany this summer as part of the student exchange program between CASHS and German school Gymnasium Waldkraiburg in Bavaria
initially reached out to Gymnasium Waldkraiburg in the fall of 2014 to gauge their interest in starting an exchange program
16 students from Gymnasium Waldkraiburg came to stay with CASHS families for 16 days
Now it is the Germans who will get to play hosts when 18 CASHS students and three teachers will be in Germany from June 22 through July 7
"They will be living with the same kids they hosted so it lives up to its name of cultural exchange," CASHS German teacher Paul Unruh said
CASHS students will be visiting the German high school for four or five days; Germans will still be in school
as their summer break is July 30 through Sept
The rest of the time will be spent sightseeing and touring
Places that they plan to visit include the Alps
including the famous Neuschwanstein Castle
better known as the "fairy-tale" or "Disneyland" castle
particularly to see and experience the food
CASHS students initially reached out to their German counterparts via social media in April 2015 to get to know them before the Germans came to visit
and those relationships have remained strong since last fall
With CASHS students preparing to travel to Germany
many have been reaching out to their host families and practicing German
and making plans about what they would like to do during their free time
Zoe Philippou has been in contact with her host student
Topics that they have been discussing include their common interest in dance and theater
Philippou will be able to drive earlier than Muller
"I'm interested to see how other families get along," Philippou said
adding that she's also excited to see other places in Germany while on the trip
Katherine Papoutsis says she tries to schedule a chat with her German student once a week since her host family is trying to concoct a plan of where she will want to go during her stay in Germany
her host family will be taking her to various music-related places
She will also be attending a Abschlussball
She said that she did have to convince her host family that she did indeed want to go to the dance
"I'm really looking forward to it," Papoutsis said
Josue Chacon is looking forward to reuniting with his exchange partner and seeing how Germans interact with one another and get along with each other
but there's one more event that Chacon is looking forward to
While the CASHS students will be visiting Germany
Chacon is interested to see how Germans support their team during the matches
"I'm interested to see how people treat and react to it," Chacon said of the Euro Cup

The fire extinguishers from the "Gebrüder Netzsch Maschinenfabrik” were a big seller
went on to develop machines for ceramic production that were also renowned for their quality
With the boom of the porcelain industry at that time in the Fichtelgebirge
the company finally concentrated entirely on the production of the ceramics industry equipment
the success story of a family-owned company began
which today spans the globe with its three business units "Pumps & Systems"
"Grinding & Dispersing" and "Analyzing & Testing" - with products such as the Mohno pump
with around 210 production and sales locations and more than 4,100 employees
the NETZSCH Group is once again headed by two brothers from Selb: Moritz and Paul Netzsch
As the fifth generation of the Netzsch family of owners
they run the company along with CFO Jens Niessner
This is one of the reasons why NETZSCH had its corporate history researched from a variety of perspectives for its 150th anniversary
Looking into the past not only substantiates values and successes
it also reveals the fit of a value proposition
"Our history provides answers as to why we have existed for so long
Our slogan 'Proven Excellence' is no empty phrase
We can prove our excellence from our history
One can observe how we actively shaped entire industries over many years
NETZSCH has always been able to adapt to radical changes in the corporate world or in the marketplace
Sometimes this also meant that we had to drastically reposition ourselves," says Paul Netzsch
and during the heyday of the porcelain industry
NETZSCH built complete factories for the ceramic industry
All of these developments ultimately led to NETZSCH positioning itself very successfully in the market with its "Analyzing & Testing"
"Grinding & Dispersing" and "Pumps & Systems" business units
"We want to transfer this historically grown adaptability into the future as well," explains Moritz Netzsch
CFO Jens Niessner is convinced: "You can feel our NETZSCH spirit at every location
the perspective for the employees - this pairing sparks an aura that makes us competitive even in places where other companies with a high international profile are located." The result: Niessner repeatedly experiences deja vu during employee interviews all over the world: "I often meet employees
and realize in conversation: the son or daughter now also works for us
Our spirit is not only inherited by the owner family
NETZSCH is planning extensive celebrations - including at all major international locations
The company will share the various facets of its history with its workforce
as well as interested members of the public

the Bavarian company’s commercial manager for Mexico and Central America
“We’ve seen continuous growth in Mexico,” said Oba
one of two Kraiburg sales representatives in Mexico
has had a sales office since 1996 and manufacturing operations since 2001
He said Kraiburg’s sales in the Americas are forecast to total $32 million in 2015
“Between and 43 and 45 percent of those [sales] will come from Mexico,” Oba said
He also said Kraiburg plans to open a warehouse in central Mexico in 2015
“There’s a huge growth opportunity for us in Mexico,” he added
Kraiburg sold 1,900 metric tons of compounds in Mexico
“Expectations for 2015 are close to 2,200 metric tons.”
Fifty percent of Kraiburg’s sales in the country are for the automotive industry
with another 35 percent going into consumer products
All compounds sold in Mexico are manufactured in Duluth
