Dutch runners Marije van Hunenstijn (23.45) and Minke Bisschops (23.59) finished one-two
In the men’s 110m hurdles, Tejas Shirse crossed the finish line in 13.60s for second place behind Manuel Mordi of Germany, who won the race with a personal best of 13.56s.
Asian Games silver Mohammed Afsal, meanwhile, completed the 800m race in 1:47.05 to top the event ahead of Crorken Tiarnan of Great Britain (1:47.06) and Jan Dillemuth (1:51.28).
Upcoming 20-year-old sprinter Animesh Kujur, who swept the 100m and 200m titles at the Indian Grand Prix last month, came second in the 200m with a timing of 20.96s. Xavi Mo-Ajok of the Netherlands won the race in 20.73s
Amlan Borgohain, India’s national record holder in the men’s 200m, competed only in the 100m and topped the B final in 10.66s.
Pavana Nagaraj finished seventh in the women’s long jump event with a best effort of 6.15m.

Sooner or later a growing brick-and-mortar business begins to run out of space
and the transition to a larger one can be a nerve-racking process
And in an industry tracking toward $106 billion in 2020
But, as she soon discovered, moving is not without complication. According to the relocation-management company 300 Decisions
a successful transition requires at least nine months of lead time
In addition to the monetary costs, which can vary widely depending on business type, hidden costs can start to add up in terms of lost productivity
Weinheim said her careful preparation paid off with a 40% increase in membership in the year since the relocation and expansion
How Weinheim went about planning and executing a coordinated move is a lesson for other entrepreneurs looking to expand their businesses' physical footprints and avoid expensive mistakes that drive customers away.
"It felt like we weren't the new place in Tarpon
and we were losing members to bigger clubs," she said in an interview with Business Insider
was small and broken up into separate rooms — not the open floor-plan that has become more popular among gymgoers in recent years
"I saw potential for growth," Weinheim said
"I knew we could be so much more if we had room for it."
With no experience designing or building out a new gym
including city representatives who happened to be gym members
and the team at Anytime Fitness' national offices
Luckily a former Dollar General store was available just a half-mile away with twice as much floor area
so Weinheim bought it and began transforming it into the new home for her business
the gym's aging equipment was in need of reinvestment
she bought new weights and machines and had them delivered and installed there
she printed posters to hang in the original gym's lobby with concept images to highlight the new features and shared videos on her social-media channels to keep members informed about the progress
Weinheim made one last round of online and in-person announcements to members and managed to make the final move on one Sunday in May
Choreographing the move to happen within 24 hours was essential
because many of her clients are accustomed to having unfettered access around the clock
but they were blown away with the upgrade," she said
I can only imagine what people thought of that location."
From the Anytime Fitness corporate parent office to other local gym owners
Weinheim said she sought and received critical support
"The whole thing could have been a disaster without the right people," she said
Weinheim also asked other local business owners for their preferred movers and installers to make sure her business was in the hands of reputable professionals
and I didn't always choose the lowest one," she said
and I could only wonder why they were so much less."
and electricians who were familiar with local regulations were worth their premium price
but Weinheim said quality work could still go over budget
The cost of renovations alone on the former retail building ran to more than $300,000
"You're going to need more money," she said
"Whatever they quote you is going to expand."
Weinheim refers to her gym as a family and says that the family can keep growing thanks to the move
In addition to retaining her team from the original location
she has hired two new trainers and expanded membership by 40%
Now everyone has a bit more elbow room to work

villages and its fruit trees that bloom here earlier than almost anywhere else in Germany
it runs for about 33 miles to the banks of the Neckar River at Heidelberg
we drove the Bergstrasse from north to south
we followed the signs to Malchen and Seeheim-Jugenheim along highway B3
you might get a peek at the twin towers of Frankenstein castle on a hill behind the town
you’ll see orchards on both sides of the road — especially now in the spring
when the fruit trees bloom in vibrant shades of white
Emperor Joseph II supposedly remarked while visiting the Bergstrasse in the spring of 1764 that “..
this is where Germany begins to become Italy.”
The region can thank the Odenwald for its mild climate and early blooming flora
offers enough protection from the cold eastern winds for the Bergstrasse to have higher average annual temperatures than most of Germany
the two villages that make up the hyphenated municipality
are known for their high-priced real estate
But Seeheim has a 16th century town hall that is a fine example of half-timbered architecture of the period
Zwingenberg was the first town on the Bergstrasse to be awarded the right to call itself a city
The medieval old town climbs the hillside along narrow cobblestone lanes to the 13th century Bergkirche
Zwingenberg is the first town on the Bergstrasse with its old center dominated by half-timbered houses
It is also the first one along the way surrounded by vineyards
The Bergstrasse is the second smallest wine region in Germany
Next stop on the road is the village of Auerbach
you’ll see Auerbach Castle towering above it
it offers an excellent view of the Odenwald
the Bergstrasse and the Rhine River valley
the summer residence of the counts of Hesse-Darmstadt
is on the outskirts of town in the middle of a large park that is worth visiting
Bensheim dates to 765 and the years have left much to see
a lively marketplace and a large pedestrian shopping area are among them
When the weather is warm people fill the outdoor cafes
and in the fall the town hosts a popular wine festival
An acquaintance once remarked that there are only two times a year to visit the Bergstrasse — in spring when it’s in bloom and in the fall when the grapes are ripe
Grapes have been ripening in the vineyards around Heppenheim ever since the Romans brought viticulture to the area about 2,000 years ago
Highlights of Heppenheim are the Marktplatz (marketplace) and city hall
18th century half-timbered houses and the market fountain topped by an 18th century Madonna
which is sometimes called the cathedral of the Bergstrasse
Wachenburg was built early in the 20th century by local fraternities in memory of their members killed in the 1870-71 war against France
The ruins are owned by the city and can be visited either by driving up a winding road or hiking up a well-marked path
Weinheim’s restaurant-lined marketplace might be the place to find it
which invites one to a nice post-lunch stroll past flower beds
An open stream flows where tanners once worked animal hides for leather
small squares and colorful flower boxes is worth the visit
take a walk through the vineyards to Strahlenberg castle before the final jaunt down the Bergstrasse to Heidelberg
but the best time is between late March and October
The ones in Bensheim and Weinheim are most popular
Getting there: The Bergstrasse runs along federal highway B3
a good place to start is at Malchen or Seeheim-Jugenheim
the Heidelberg district of Neuenheim is a good starting point
Parking: All the towns have free parking for an hour and sometimes two if you use a parking dial
Any longer and you’ll probably have to pay
Bicycling: It’s mostly flat biking down; the tough spots are where the town centers are uphill from the highway (Heppenheim
Hiking: Most of the towns have marked paths through the vineyards and orchards
One trail leads from Zwingenberg to Heppenheim
the vintners offer their wines at stands along the way

The TimesThe German village of Gau-Weinheim is about to be awarded the accolade of possessing the world’s most tilted tower
putting Pisa to shame and toppling the record holder
Gau-Weinheim council said a measurement in July showed its medieval belltower had a tilt of 5.43 degrees, beating the 5.19 degrees on a tower in Suurhusen, north Germany. Its world-famous Tuscan rival now leans a modest 3.97 degrees, having been adjusted from 5.5 degrees over the past 30 years to stop it toppling over
It also beats the fortress tower of the village of Dausenau 35 miles to the north
which tilts by an impressive 5.24 degrees but has not made it into the record books because it is classified as a ruin

2020 started strong for Hollie DiGiorgio and her Anytime Fitness gym in Tarpon Springs
She had recently moved her business into a new location
doubling its size and boosting its membership by over 40%
The industry was on track to reach $106 billion
and the Anytime Fitness brand was expanding quickly
"It's very hard to work so hard and then take 20 million steps back with something that's completely out of your control," DiGiorgio said
Business Insider spoke with DiGiorgio about how she's navigating this extraordinarily challenging moment for her business and her customers alike
When public health officials ordered businesses to close in March to slow the spread of the coronavirus
DiGiorgio and her team were suddenly busy — not with training clients
but processing account freezes and cancellations
but DiGiorgio was committed to keeping her staff together and being flexible with members who's lives and careers were being upended in real-time
'what is fair for our members,'" DiGiorgio said
"So we sent an email blast out to all of our members offering to freeze their memberships for free."
Some members however responded with requests to pay in advance as a show of support for the gym
and DiGiorgio remained in frequent communication over email and social media to hear what the fitness community needed most
"The biggest deal for us is we don't want our clients just to stop," DiGiorgio said
we can't have them stop reaching their goals
DiGiorgio wanted to ensure that those members who were sticking with her got some value for their dollars
where personal trainers and group instructors could continue working virtually with clients
"We had our trainers training clients using either FaceTime or Zoom in from their homes," DiGiorgio said
She even went a step further and turned her gym into an equipment library of sorts
so that members could borrow the necessary gear to stay in shape
"We actually lent out dumbbells," DiGiorgio said
"We would find out what weight they needed
and they could swing by and pick them up."
More recently the gym began offering six-week "Comeback Challenges" that are helping motivate current members and reach new ones too
Compared with her original location, the current gym has twice as much space and is far easier to keep clean
"We spaced out all of our cardio equipment six feet apart
and all of our other equipment is pretty spread out enough that people can keep social distancing," she said
The new facilities also enable trainers and clients to work in their own space
which is helping to drive new membership growth as well
"Cancellations have slowed down from what they were
and we're seeing where we can start growing back," DiGiorgio said
"The last thing I would want to do is shut my doors," she added
"You just have to fight as much as you can
the church tower of the German town of Suurhusen went into the books as the most leaning tower in the world
it now has to pass its title to the Leaning Tower of Gau-Weinheim in the German Alzey-Worms district
The new record holder still houses parish bells that ring thrice daily
It is located 25 kilometres south of Mainz
The Suurhusen tower has attracted many tourists as it even achieved a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. That is reported by Ostfriesland.infos
The tower was added to the 13th-century church in Suurhusen around 1450
which preserved their solidness due to the groundwater surrounding it
it was stabilised and could be entered safely again
The main sight of the village is the "Leaning Tower of Gau-Weinheim"
whose leaning position has been handed down since time immemorial
The listed square tower of Gau-Weinheim is a medieval fortified tower of the former cemetery fortifications
According to a new measurement of 15 July 2022
"The Leaning Tower" of Gau-Weinheim has an inclination of 5.4277°
This broke the record previously held by the tower of Suurhusen - the tower in Suurhusen has an inclination of only 5.19°
is thus significantly more inclined than the one in Pisa"
it is even more crooked than the tower of Suurhusen
(5.19°) listed in the GWR (Guinness World Records) and RID (Rekord Institute for Germany)
Its angle of inclination even surpasses that of Pisa Campanile in Italy

Although our visual system can paint a vibrant portrait of the world
its palette of colors is actually quite limited
as we only see between 390 to 750 nm of the full electromagnetic spectrum while the remaining trillion wavelengths escape our view
Within these wavelengths exists other colors
meaning that we experience color through three types of photoreceptors tuned to different wavelengths: short (blue)
and long (red); and the combinations of activity of these receptors give us the perception of color
it turns out that the tuning curve of the red receptor in bees is shifted up such that they are red-blind
This means that UV light is their version of red (try to imagine)
That change in color gives nature another way to evolve its marketing campaign and attract more business
flowers have evolved to provide bright UV petals surrounding a dark region contrasting containing glowing UV pollen
From R-L: The same flower with human vision, only UV vision (bright = UV), simulated bee vision (UV+G+B), simulated bird vision (tetrachromatcic: UV+R+G+B). (Photos: (c) Dr Klaus Schmitt, Weinheim, Germany, uvir.eu )
The picture above shows a flower with different light receptors
the center target is vastly larger than the version we see and you can make out a faint UV glow in the center
But what about the fourth image with all four colors (UV+B+G+R)
have four types of photoreceptors (UV+R+G+B) making them tetrachromats
Although it would be impossible to show exactly how this extra receptor affects the way a bird sees the flower
other colors can be used as a metaphor for UV to produce the stunning simulation of the tetrachromatic flower on the far right
have evolved to display a stunning set of colors invisible to the unaided eye
and Lunau (1997) showed that ultraviolet reflecting plumage in starlings had profound effects on observed mating preferences
while plumage in the human visible spectrum did not predict choice
Their ultraviolet feathers are part of their mating call

Freudenberg completes Low & Bonar acquisition
the 50:50 owners of anti-vibration automotive parts JV Trelleborg Vibracoustic signed an agreement on 7 April under which Trelleborg will sell its shares in the JV to Freudenberg
In an interview in Vibracoustic's Balance corporate magazine
CEO Frank Mueller explained that his company would “seek to play an active role in the consolidation process
perhaps by making acquisitions or by entering into alliances.”
Vibracoustic’s business for components for air suspension is rapidly growing

adding that the new approach saved not only weight but costs too
he said that Japanese OEMs were warming to European suppliers as they attempt to expand globally
“They need partners that can offer them global presence and they are also enthusiastic about European technology,” said the CEO
But Mueller warned that it will take time to win the trust of Japanese customers
