Wells Fargo also claims Willich loaned himself $4.9 million for his farm and more than $300,000 for a biography and screenplay about his life

A vehicle cover featuring a Tesla emblem protected a car with a sporty body style in MDI's gated parking lot
Lawyers for both MDI and Wells Fargo declined Times-Union requests for comment
Wells Fargo spokesman Alan Elias offered this: "We'll rely on our filing to speak for us."
A point both sides agree on - and that prompted an investigatory letter from the trio of representatives - is MDI's contract with the federal Bureau of Prisons for the Butner Federal Correctional Complex near Durham

225-pound kinesiology major is fully healthy and poised to make his first career start
AMES — When a severe knee injury forced Iowa State redshirt freshman linebacker Carson Willich to miss his entire senior season of high school football
What if the Cyclones rescind their scholarship offer
“I remember I talked to (ISU football coach Matt) Campbell the day after it happened,” the Blue Springs
I know what you’re capable of.’ That was really like the selling point because I knew that they still believed in who I was as a person — not only on the field but off the field.”

225-pound kinesiology major is fully healthy and poised to make his first career start — but he’s not alone in that regard
Willich will glance to his side Saturday to see true freshman Jack Sadowsky making his first career start
As many as 10 Cyclones could celebrate their starting debuts against the Panthers: Five on offense and five on defense
“My expectation is we’re gonna play a lot of guys early in this football season because you still don’t know until you get out into the game and play,” Campbell said
“That means you’ve got to earn the right on Tuesday
Wednesday and Thursday to be the guy that gets in the game whether it’s at the beginning of the game or the most critical moment of the game.”
They’ll also share plenty of snaps with capable backups such as Will McLaughlin
“We’re gonna rotate a bunch,” said Willich
who totaled eight tackles while retaining his redshirt last season
It’s gonna be whenever our name’s called and I think that’s a good thing
I think we’re all ready together.”
in Campbell’s first game as head coach — and even though they’ve lost three straight to ISU
two of those setbacks were also decided by one score
“(There’s) a great offense surrounding (Day),” ISU defensive coordinator Jon Heacock said
It’s also a job Willich and his fellow potential first-time starters are eager to perform — particularly at linebacker
where the Cyclones lack seasoning but boast depth
“I think you’ve got such a great mix there,” Campbell said
“You talk about maybe the oldest guy on the team in Gerry and then you’ve got a young pup in Jack who’s gonna get the opportunity to run out in the field and make a big difference.”

all that type of stuff to go out there and just do our job
knowing that we’ve got 10 other guys around us
which is a good thing because it’s helped me to where I’m at now.”
Willich now occupies a space bathed in confidence and founded on trust
“It’s the first game,” he said
“We’ve got to go out there and do our thing
People aren’t going to give us the head
We’re going into this season as the headhunters and we’re gonna do that
No one’s just going to give us the nod here so I’m excited
hungry group as a whole — offense and defense
and we’re ready to go out and show what we can do.”
The primary owner of a Ponte Vedra Beach prisoner medical services and analytics provider embroiled in a multimillion-dollar legal battle with one of the largest banks in the U.S. has added another firm to his lawsuit
named Focus Management Group USA this week in his suit against Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo put Focus in charge of MDI while it sought new investors
and Willich took over MDI operations in February
Willich accuses Focus of taking millions of dollars his company could have used to pay vendors and instead giving the cash to Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo - whose main office is in South Dakota - also had the civil case moved from St
Johns County to federal court in Jacksonville
Lawyers for Wells Fargo declined comment on the lawsuit via spokesman Alan Elisa
citing bank policy not to discuss ongoing litigation
A phone call and email to Focus headquarters went unreturned
Court documents did not list an attorney for Focus
offered only this: "I'll let the amended complaint speak for itself."
claims Willich should not have to repay Wells Fargo because the bank broke its pledge not to harm Willich
Wells Fargo seized a $2.2 million settlement from the California Department of Corrections at Focus' direction
to prevent MDI from making payments to other creditors
It also asks the court to prevent Wells Fargo from foreclosing on MDI property in St
MDI as a company sued Wells Fargo in March for $15 million
The financial institution in turn filed suit seeking repayment of up to $30 million it loaned to MDI
Wells Fargo now owns what was Wachovia Bank
Willich founded MDI in Virginia in 1992 and moved it to Northeast Florida in 2003
Mike Rose played his final game at Jack Trice Stadium after a four-year career that saw him stuff the stat sheet on a weekly basis and earn just about every award available to him
One commit to the Cyclones’ 2022 recruiting class hopes to follow in his footsteps and will be one of the signings to a historic Iowa State class on December 15
“I’ve been watching a ton of film on (Rose),” linebacker Carson Willich said
“I was actually just looking at a season highlight tape of his
We’ve discussed me playing that same linebacker spot that he played
It’s cool kind of seeing him pick up stuff on the defensive side the way he does.”
Iowa State’s 2022 class was bumped up to No
19 nationally when 247Sports released its updated class rankings on Tuesday
which sets the Cyclones up to sign their first top-30 (and potentially top-25) class in program history
46 nationally and was the eighth highest in the conference
“I thought we were at 24 and then I saw Greg Gaines and R Mason (Thomas) got upgraded (by 247 Sports) today
but once you actually get into a locker room and see what you’ve got
will come to Iowa State out of Blue Springs
He’s rated as a 3-Star player and had offers from Kansas State
Army and Liberty before committing to Iowa State
Willich doesn’t take star ratings into account and noted that Iowa State coach Matt Campbell doesn’t either
That’s obvious when listening to Campbell speak on the ‘five-Star culture’ he’s established in Ames and it’s a big part of what drew the linebacker to the school
“I really like the five-star culture at Iowa State,” Willich said
“Not a lot of schools really have that five-star culture like Iowa State does
I just really saw what that was like and what that meant in the locker room and on-campus – I really liked that.”
The Blue Springs High School commit will come to Iowa State with a teammate of his in Ikenna Ezeogu – an edge rusher that earned first-team all-conference honors during his senior season
They’re the only pair of teammates in the class thus far
Blue Springs has produced four NFL players in the past decade
Willich and his teammate coming to Ames have big dreams for themselves
He’ll try and compete the same way Rose has in an Iowa State uniform and it will start when he signs with the program in two weeks

Many children living in Lincolnville attend Ketterlinus Elementary School
one of the schools selected to participate in the Touch-Screen Interactive Program
This technology-based program Willich created provides iPads and iPod Touches to county elementary schools
The goal is to improve the learning skills of third and fourth grade students
"Richard Willich was selected as the first county-wide unsung hero because of his compassion and commitment to those in need," Straughan said
"Whether it is the children who visit their parents at Willich Kids Bridge
or youngsters in need of additional learning tools
Richard saw these areas of concern and stepped up to help
His commitment to our community is changing the lives of so many on a daily basis and will continue to do so for years to come."
Richard Willich is determined to host a Labor Day picnic that's planned to include the public firing of guns at a shooting range at his business in Nocatee
Johns County code enforcement officials told him this week to shut down the outdoor range west of Ponte Vedra Beach
he's stationed security personnel to keep government personnel without warrants off the property of MDI Holdings
The company's also the site of the shooting range and
his party to celebrate American liberties including free speech and the right to bear arms
He was ordered to close the non-permitted range by Tuesday
who's also the new Florida chairman of Americans for Prosperity
which espouses controlled government spending and exercising American rights
"You always think this is going to happen to someone else - government intrusion
I just don't think it's a local code issue
County enforcement officers cited Willich for his company's outdoor security department personnel firing range and ordered him to "cease all activity at the outdoor firing range
"I'm going ahead with my picnic and that's that
It has always been my understanding that we have the right to assemble
I don't know when or how the local county code person can say I don't have those rights
County officials said Willich's citation was a warning and that it doesn't have anything to do his rights
We were simply responding to a shooting range in an area it was not permitted," said Darrell Locklear
the county assistant county administrator of operations
is made up of a huge dirt pile with two target areas and a backstop berm
It's inside a U-shaped embankment on the company's property
An orange citation notice has been posted there
The issue of the firing range came to light last week
when MDI officials contacted law enforcement officials to arrange for traffic control for the planned Labor Day celebration
The Sheriff's Office must go through the enforcement department to get approval before sending deputies to work at an event
"This is a permitting process between MDI and code enforcement," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan
called a "Leaded Tea Party," is for people in the community to celebrate their freedom
right to speak freely and to assemble and to bear arms
The event is planned to include a live band
horse rides for children and use of the shooting range for free target practice
The dirt pile has shooting range-type targets set up
Willich said the enforcement officers were "very arrogant and aggressive" when they came onto the property this week
"We asked them what we needed to do to get into compliance; [the enforcer] didn't have an answer," he said
"I think the code enforcement guys are breaking the law; we should arrest them
all government people were welcomed here; today they're not."
County officials said they sent MDI an application to obtain a temporary permit Wednesday to go ahead with its plan to use firearms on Labor Day
"Our staff has been in touch with MDI to see how we can bring them in compliance," she said
"He can come into compliance by removing the dirt or by getting it properly approved to be there
"We are currently researching the zoning for that area
which is the Nocatee Planned Unit Development
and are looking to find a way to accommodate Mr
Willich's desire to have a shooting range."

standardized reporting solution in place is crucial — often in the form of a church management system
ensuring all staff members are “fluent” in that solution can be daunting
imagine you’ve got to make it happen not only in your church
you also need to introduce a standardized eGiving platform
That was the challenge facing the Archdiocese of Washington’s (Washington
DC) Executive Director of Parish & School Financial Operations Adrienne Willich and Director of Stewardship Elizabeth Shaughney
the archdiocese enjoys a long-established “corporate culture” of oversight and periodic review of financial results
which makes financial reporting straightforward
it has followed standardized reporting practices for more than 140 years
“Canon Law requires that every parish have a finance council to give advice and guidance to the pastor and requires the pastor to discuss the parish’s financial results with the finance council,” Willich explains
every pastor must make at least an annual financial report to the Archbishop
we’ve always had reporting from the parishes to the archdiocese,” she points out
we have — as part of our archives — a parish annual report from 1875.”
When personal computers came into existence in the 1980s, then, Willich says it was “a pretty easy sell” for all 139 parishes in the archdiocese to embrace ParishSOFT Family Suite
reporting results to the archdiocese meant sending floppy disks (with each taken to a server room and uploaded) to achieve consolidated results
accounting functions for the archdiocese were migrated to a corporate accounting system
In time — and amid a fair amount of resistance — all the parishes were required to follow suit
they really suffered for the change,” Willich recalls
It had functionalities that weren’t necessary for the way our parishes live and work.”
the archdiocese made sure that a practical
well-informed phased approach was in place
a steering committee of parishes evaluated different software packages and provided their independent views on which they liked best
When the committee made its recommendation to the Archbishop
parishes were identified to pilot-test the software implementation
Word quickly spread about how happy they were with it
especially because ParishSOFT had introduced a cloud-based platform
all 139 parishes are using the cloud-based version of ParishSOFT
the new version is a more intuitive version of an already familiar software
but so does the vendor — tons of online help screens
frequently asked questions and an 800-number,” Willich explains
Users can even email their questions to the vendor and receive an automated response
with links back to relevant online “help” resources
bookkeepers can use the system to teach themselves just about anything they need to accomplish with the software
Sometimes the vendor even comes onsite to do in-person training with parishes
even bookkeepers who went through the original implementation always leave saying they learned something new,” Willich points out
For pastors — who might not be trained in accounting and bookkeeping
but definitely want the ability to access vital data about their churches — the archdiocese put together a special user guide
it walks pastors through the processes to achieve their most-requested accounting / reporting objectives
they can be more independent,” Willich says
“They don’t have to rely on the bookkeeper and can get the information that they want out of the ParishSOFT system.”
a standard chart of accounts uses cost centers — some of them on the expense side
it’s really easy to see what the parish spent in administration versus ministry,” Willich explains
ParishSOFT also has a project-reporting functionality that lets a pastor see the revenue generated and costs associated with any project run by volunteers or a ministry team
because pastors can get stars in their eyes about fundraisers,” Willich cautions
“They must be able to clearly see how profitable a given fundraiser really is.”
Oversight of all 139 parishes is undertaken at the Archdiocese of Washington Pastoral Center
as are the several departments supporting the ministries of the parishes and schools in the archdiocese
that employees at the pastoral center must have access to a dashboard view of all 139 parishes — and it’s easily enabled with ParishSOFT
“I can scroll up and down the dashboard and see each parish’s accounting,” Willich says
she can see the date of the parish’s last bank reconciliation — in other words
Willich can then drill down into offertory income or tuition income and see when the last cash receipts were posted
This is critical for interacting with the parish to determine what’s going on
and how the team at the pastoral center can be most helpful
shared database for 139 parishes enables the archdiocese to maintain a real-time “pulse” on church health
the biggest source of revenue for our parishes,” Willich explains
the archdiocese tracks offertory trends month-over-month and year-over-year — simple reports to run with the software’s accounting functions
these figures require a context in order to be meaningful
That’s why Willich and her team look at parishes’ budgets versus actual expenses — specifically
that’s an indication of cashflow issues,” she explains
“We’re looking at parishes’ cash balances
including how many months’ worth of operating expenses they have in cash.”
A similar approach keeps a pulse of the health of the archdiocese’s 63 schools
If school results are at variance from budget
a quick call to the school’s office is made
“We’ve got experts right in the building who can proactively work with the schools,” Willich says
any less than three months’ worth of operating expenses can signify a problem meeting payroll — and that’s a starting point for a conversation about what the archdiocese can do to help
“We’re really blessed with an endowment fund from very generous donors to provide grants to parishes for church maintenance,” Willich points out
Some parishes might need more funding based on the historic nature (and expensive upkeep) of their facilities
The Archdiocese of Washington is one of the most historically significant in the country
The oldest church in the diocese still in use — St
The current church was built in 1797; the first Bishop in the United States
While having so many historical properties is a blessing
it also brings incredible maintenance challenges
“It can be a real challenge for some parish communities to raise enough money to support the maintenance of the church,” Willich says
the Archbishop is able to grant funds to those churches for stained glass windows
When a parish’s offertory trends raise red flags
another remedy is for Willich and her team in parish and school financial operations to coordinate efforts with Elizabeth Shaughney and her team in stewardship development
about half use Faith Direct [ faithdirect.net ] for their eGiving
It’s a secure program that works directly with givers’ bank
credit or debit cards in the same way as other electronic funds transfer payments they might already conduct (such as utility bills or mortgage payment)
which is helpful for guests or out-of-town visitors who want to show their generosity
Most of these parishes adopted the platform based on word-of-mouth endorsements from other parishes
we encourage online giving,” Shaughney says
“While it isn’t necessarily right for every parish in the archdiocese
we do encourage it if a parish is potentially not capturing all the gifts it could be receiving.”
this makes a lot of sense from a budgeting perspective
that X amount of dollars are coming in on the 1st
X amount of dollars will come in on the 8th
Faith Direct lets parishioners support offertory second collections
without writing multiple checks — a facility maintenance fund or the archdiocese’s annual appeal
Based on the data Willich and Shaughney are seeing
it appears the timing is also right for eGiving
the millennial generation surpassed the baby boomers — and they don’t come to Mass with cash or a checkbook,” Willich says
“Most of them don’t even have envelopes!” Shaughney adds
Communicating to this group about the availability of new
more tech-driven giving options can be a challenge for just about any church
it can be a big concern for them,” Shaughney acknowledges
The loss of revenue can be significant if the transition isn’t well-orchestrated
Faith Direct transitions as many legacy givers as possible
Each parishioner already set up for eGiving simply logs on
and then refreshes his or her profile with Faith Direct
Shaughney and Willich encourage parishes in the archdiocese to run two giving platforms concurrently (the new and existing one) for three to six months
This helps to prevent unnecessary fall-off during the transition
Faith Direct offers a mailing to members of participating parishes that encourages them to sign up for eGiving
Those who do receive a contribution statement at the end of the year
It’s just one way the platform makes life a little easier not only for church members
And because Faith Direct is integrated with ParishSOFT databases — a new feature — all donations across the archdiocese are tracked seamlessly in the software
This integration provides the archdiocese with a more holistic
informed perspective of parishioners’ engagement
the integration of ParishSOFT databases with Faith Direct giving data has improved ministry at the parishes
Faith Direct lets parents sign up and pay for religious education online
The same is true for spaghetti dinners and countless other fellowship events in the life of a parish
“It makes it very easy for anybody to be included in all those things,” Shaughney explains
they’re not coming to an event worrying about whether or not they already paid for the event
They come in the door set and ready to go.”
trust levels have improved between the archdiocese and the parishes
it started with the roll-out of ParishSOFT
when all 139 parishes had to be convinced that yet another church management system migration was in their best interest
“We just acknowledged what they’d been saying: ‘We’re ready to simplify,’” she recalls
“We knew that people loved the church management system
We just had to make sure they were ready to return to that system
Now that the onboarding of the ParishSOFT across all parishes in the archdiocese is complete and more than half of them (so far) are using Faith Direct
the implementation is even informing personal ministry and consultation
parish visits by diocesan staff and Archbishop Gregory are even more effective as a result
“The Archbishop has such a heart for supporting his brother priests,” Willich points out
“He visits at least three or four parishes a week.”
Willich and her team use ParishSOFT to assemble a parish-specific financial briefing for Archbishop Gregory
including (where applicable) school financial results
as well as more spiritual indicators — the number of registered parishioners
“All this helps us stay on the front end of challenges parishes might be encountering,” Willich explains
“It’s just an extreme relief for a pastor to know that the Archbishop supports him
and wants to continue to draw more people in to Mass in our beautiful worship spaces.”

pajamas are just the clothes you wear to bed
Willich's pajamas once served a different purpose: they were his prison uniform at the Auschwitz concentration camp
"Leo kept it after the war," said Cody Hefner
manager of media relations at Cincinnati Museum Center
He would cry remembering what happened at Auschwitz
marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz
the site where an estimated 1.1 million people were exterminated
And that has made me speak about it." —Henry Meyer
a joint project between the Center for Holocaust and Humanity
the Freedom Center and the Cincinnati Museum Center
hopes to bring a voice to this silenced cry
much of the world remains in the dark of the inhumanity suffered
"Many people associate the Holocaust with World War II," Hefner stated
And it's a story that's been relatively untold."
the three historical societies have pieced together this exhibit
Hosted at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Unlocking the Gates is told through the eyes of Werner Coppel and Bella Ouziel
sometimes the numbers engulf the story," said Alexis Storch
director of educational outreach for the Center for Holocaust and Humanity
Show the individual lives that were disrupted and destroyed."
a seemingly innocuous single piece drives home the malice
cats and popular characters you'd see in a children's book," Hefner said
"But it wasn't a children's book; it was Nazi propaganda
This book tried to instill the notion that Jews were evil
That they were untrustworthy and deceitful
Auschwitz is remembered for its staggering death toll
But what eludes most is just how these executions were carried out
Rather than the deadly gas we think of in chemical warfare
the Nazis killed their prisoners using a pesticide
They treated them in the same manner," Hefner cited
But gas chambers only claimed a fraction of those who perished under Hitler's Final Solution
Thousands died of disease from the unsanitary confines
The prisoners were forced to work in factories
creating material for the German war effort - helping the very cause that was trying to destroy them
Their names were now numbers," Hefner explained
Patrons to the exhibit will notice a series of medical tools and instruments
Many prisoners had to be subjects in twisted experiments and test investigations
they likely came out with a handicap or physical impediment
"We tend to view Auschwitz and the Holocaust as synonymous
Coppell was once a part of a scout troop as a boy
His leader was also imprisoned at Auschwitz
getting people to focus on the future when they would be free
A rabbi told Coppell of a Haggadah– a text that outlines the ceremonies of Passover – that was hidden in a grave in order to keep it from the Nazis
Coppell found the Haggadah and used at the next Seder
Coppell's Haggadah is on display at the Freedom Center
Hefner references it as one of the more powerful items in the exhibit
We want to give them the proper showcase."
evacuating close to 60,000 prisoners to a site 35 miles away
Over six million people lost their lives during this persecution
Scholars continue to debate the Allies' level of information on the genocide that took place
but one point remains clear: Whether through apathy or ignorance
the rest of the world stood idly by while millions suffered at Nazi hands
people couldn't believe it was happening," Hefner noted
"This tragedy occurred because able people disregarded the plight of others."
and hopes the exhibit drives home a strong message
"We don't want you to leave with all the answers
We want you to leave with questions," Storch said
It's still ongoing." Current conflicts in Central Africa
Iraq and the Ukraine are testament to this claim
Prevent these atrocities from ever happening again."
Willich kept his pajamas the rest of his life
Anytime his memories caused him fresh pain
he would look in the mirror and regain his composure
even a lighthearted mindset helped," Hefner stated
A Nocatee businessman who came under fire after inviting the public to shoot guns at his company's outdoor target range has dismantled the range instead of trying to have county codes changed to allow it
Richard Willich said Tuesday that opposition from Nocatee developers as well as his plans to expand a portion of his MDI Holdings property west of Ponte Vedra Beach led him to take down the range last week
a huge dirt pile with two target areas and a backstop berm
had been up 10 months inside a U-shaped embankment on the company's property
Willich was criticized after he announced plans for a "Leaded Tea Party" public Labor Day picnic where people could exercise their American rights of free speech and assembly and the right to bear arms by firing their guns at the range
"The Parc Group guys [developers] didn't like it; that was the main reason for me going ahead and taking it down," he said
"They came over here and told me that it doesn't seem to fit
I made of it that [the Parc Group] was getting a lot of publicity and a lot of it wasn't great
It really wasn't worth it to me to make a big fuss because there was no intent for it long term; it was just something pending our construction plans."
Nocatee's master plan doesn't allow a firing range
which is why he met with Willich in August
"I told him that Nocatee has been carefully planned for various uses [including] residential
Willich was understanding and agreed to remove the range after the Labor Day event."
personal attacks and insurance company concerns about the negative publicity of having people fire their guns on his business property firing range
he canceled the public Labor Day event and made it invitation only
The event went off with without any negative incidents or publicity
two county code enforcement officers came to the property Aug
11 and cited the company for operating a firing range without permits
They gave seven days to "cease all activity at the outdoor firing range
remove targets and the backstop berm." But Willich didn't
"If those code enforcement officials didn't come in
the negative press wouldn't have happened," he said
County officials had also given him until Oct
5 to decide if he wanted to remove the firing range or apply for a change in the county's land development codes that would have allowed the range permanently
The current land rules don't allow firing ranges on residential or business properties in Nocatee
Willich said Tuesday that he never intended to keep the gun range permanently because of his business expansion plans
which include a new building in the range area
"We have to move forward with our building plan," he said
we put the dirt there and used it as a range
Willich said he has no regrets about the obstacles he's endured since he announced the Labor Day picnic
but he does wish he had followed through with his original plan to put a Liberty Bell on T-shirts and have a picnic instead of a Leaded Tea Party
You cannot believe the number people who said they support my standing up for American rights
My public relations people came up with the Leaded Tea Party; that was not my idea
but it became about politics all of a sudden."
Richard Willich said instead of making his "Leaded Tea Party" private
but was cancelled after Willich said he encountered government opposition
personal attacks and insurance company concerns about the negative publicity of having people fire their guns on his business property shooting range
And because about 500 people were on hand to celebrate their rights to speak freely
assemble and bear arms Saturday at MDI Holdings in Nocatee
he said that positive response showed it should have been open to all
"We can't just stick a flag in the yard on the Fourth of July and say we're patriots," he said
we have to live our democratic values every day and be prepared to stand up for them when you are attacked."
The matter of the firing range came to light in mid-August
when MDI contacted law enforcement to arrange for traffic control for the planned Labor Day weekend celebration
The Sheriff's Office must go through the enforcement department to get approval before sending deputies to work an event
Johns County code enforcement officers came to the property on Aug
11 and cited the company for operating a firing range without permits and gave it seven days to "cease all activity at the outdoor firing range
remove targets and the backstop berm." Willich didn't
People who attended the event said they support the concept of the event and they wanted to stand up for their rights
truthfulness," said Carlton Spence of Jacksonville
I have a great admiration for those who made this happen."
People registered their guns at the entrance gate
where certified Florida Department of Law Enforcement firearm instructors first made sure that the weapons were safe
An orange safety was placed around the trigger to make sure it was non-functional and it was placed in a plastic bag with the person's driver's license
All weapons were then taken to the firing range security table
they were then escorted to their cars to store their weapons
Harley Stone of Nocatee said people have been misinformed about what tea parties stand for
"I think it was a chance to deliberately mislabel and misrepresent what the tea party is all about," he said
"I think it's one of the most well-behaved organized events I've been to."
People lined up their children for pony rides
to fire their guns on the firing range and to treat themselves to hamburgers and hot dogs
"I wouldn't have missed it for anything," she said
"It's wonderful to see this kind of participation in the community."
5 to decide if he wants to remove the firing range off his business property or apply for a change in the county's land development rules
The land codes don't allow the use of firing ranges on properties in Nocatee

“Those four games are huge experience for me,” Willich said
I feel like I have a good sense of the game.”
Willich utilized his freshman campaign to learn from an experienced group of upperclassmen
“[Colby Reeder] was only here for a short amount of time,” Willich said
“But his experience from playing at Delaware
he showed me so much experience…experience from those guys—from OV (O’Rien Vance)
Kendell Jackson—all of those guys helped me tremendously.”
It is experience and lessons of 2022 that Willich said he is relying on to help younger players

Willich finds himself in the role of a mentor for a young corps of linebackers
“I am helping mentor and I am trying to help Gerry out with that,” Willich said
“The big thing for me is not trying to overstep Gerry
I am going to help these young guys out and get them right
but I think the big thing for me is just the attitude
that is something I had to realize through O’Rien
I think it is one of those things like Gerry can help be a leader like that

I had no idea I was going to play that week against Texas and I was ready.”
The “young pups” heeded Willich’s message as he said the Cyclone linebackers enter game week ready to hit the field and described every player in the room as “hungry.”
“We do not know who coach has in yet,” Willich said
“We are just going to be ready for whenever our name is called
Willich also painted a picture of cohesive unit that plans to grow together and hone the “we over me” mantra of Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell
“We are going to be with these guys for the next three to four years,” Willich said
Everything we do is for these guys in that group and the defense
I think our defense is going to be very good.”
Defensive coordinator Jon Heacock shares Willich’s excitement

21.10.2020 - The joint venture of STRABAG subsidiary Züblin and BAM Deutschland AG are building the new Willich I prison
The contract was awarded by the client Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW and has a value in the low three-digit-millions € range
Planned according to modern prison standards
existing buildings from the years 1900 to 1905
most of which were already demolished in advance
With a significant increase in capacity from 400 to 768 prison places for male prisoners
the construction project also takes into account the increased space requirements at the prison location in Willich-Anrath
The extensive project with a gross floor area of 63,661 m² includes the construction of two detention houses
The project will be constructed over a period of five years and is divided into two separate construction phases
In November 2020 the joint venture will commence construction with completion scheduled for the end of 2025
clinker facades and panoptics in the cell tracts
the new building is architecturally based on the style of the early 20th century
the Willich I JVA complements the adjoining Willich II JVA
which was newly built in 2009 for female prisoners
The protective wall around the two prisons has also already been renewed
The necessary division of the construction project into two parts and the associated complexity is due to the fact that the continued operation of the prison must be guaranteed without security restrictions
a number of structural interim solutions are to be implemented
the joint venture JVA Willich I will build the new prison house 1 on the former site of the JVA Willich II (women's prison) by mid-2023
the workshop building and parts of the outdoor facilities of the parking lot will be built
After the Willich I prison has moved to the newly built prison house 1 and the old building has been torn down
the new prison house 2 will be built on this part of the site in the second construction phase beginning 2024
BAM and ZÜBLIN will build the connecting corridors and sports fields and complete the multi-purpose building
the outdoor facilities and the parking lot
The future JVA Willich I will essentially consist of two four-storey prison buildings with a cross-shaped floor plan
A three-storey multi-purpose building will house the administration
will in future accompany the in-house businesses (including a bakery
a carpentry and a print shop) and training organisations (for prospective bakers and building cleaners) as well as workshops
BAM with its JV partners Ferrovial and SK ecoplant (known as Riverlinx) have completed the Silvertown Tunnel

BEING denied a discount ended up in a “menacing and frightening” assault when a Queensland man pointed a gun at a Domino’s staffer’s head
Don't miss out on the headlines from National
Followed categories will be added to My News
CHILLING footage of the moment a Queensland man pointed a gun in the face of a Domino’s Pizza staff member has been released
He had been unable to get a discount when ordering his pizza on the phone
So he went to the shop in Cairn’s suburb of Smithfield to confront young staff member Isaac Ramsay
and asked him to step outside for a chat on October 21
CCTV footage that was played in the Cairns Magistrates Court shows the pair speaking for a few minutes in a public corridor near the store
A number of bystanders are also seen in the footage
Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Lisa Buchanan said Willich
When it wasn’t forthcoming he drew the weapon
which had been concealed under his clothes
“It is the most serious common assault I have seen to obtain an apology for not getting a discount on a takeaway pizza,” Snr Sgt Buchanan said
“There were not bullets in the firearm.”
At one point the victim was made to kneel with the gun pointed at his head
Snr Sgt Buchanan said Mr Ramsay was effectively “begging for his life”
pleaded guilty to charges of common assault
deprivation of liberty and possessing a shortened firearm in a public place
Willich must spend at least 12 months in jail because of the weapons charge
The court was told Mr Ramsay was significantly affected by the attack
and has been diagnosed with post traumatic distress disorder
Defence solicitor Paul Richardson handed up two comprehensive reports about his client
which described Willich has having narcissistic personality traits
Mr Richardson argued that Willich should be released after the 12 months
“The common assault was a very serious example of common assault,” magistrate Alan Comans said
“(He) committed the assault in the most menacing and frightening way.”
Mr Comans said the legislation clearly demonstrated how serious it was to possess a shortened weapon in public
had to show both general and personal deterrence and the community’s denunciation
“People must be able to go about their business especially when customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction is a part of their daily lives … without the risk of this type of assault,” Mr Comans said
He accepted that Willich’s offending was linked to his depressive disorder and that he had made some attempts at rehabilitation
Willich was jailed for three years with a parole release date after 12 months on July 12 next year
