France were determined to not let the flying Danes run away and Guillaume Gille's squad improved with each passing minute
which resulted with the European champions taking the lead (15:16) of their own before Denmark regained the advantage at half-time
it is worth noting that before the match four players got their EHF Excellence Award for the 2023/24 season - Denmark's Emil Jakobsen and Magnus Saugstrup
as well as France's Elohim Prandi and Ludovic Fabregas
while Denmark's Mathias Gidsel received the newly introduced European Olympic Excellence Award

but without much success as the Swedes not only kept the formidable lead at the break
but increased it to six goals (14:20) in the 35th minute
The hosts piled pressure on Sweden in the final minutes and made a late attempt to salvage a draw with a four-goal run

Denmark said Wednesday that it planned to buy more US F-35 fighter jets despite strained relations with Donald Trump
who wants to annex its autonomous territory of Greenland
"We have to strengthen our fleet of fighter jets and it is completely logical to acquire more F-35 fighter jets," Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen told the Børsen newspaper after Denmark announced a huge increase in defence spending
Poulsen's department declined to give more details about any future order when contacted by AFP
Questions about whether it is wise for Denmark to keep buying weapons from the United States have been put into sharp focus since Trump's rapprochement with Russia and threats of aggression against Canada and Greenland
Canada said this month that it would re-examine its purchase of F-35s and look at other options
But Poulsen said: "It's completely unrealistic to think that we could stop cooperating with the United States and buying its military equipment
Trump reiterates US need to 'have' Greenland ahead of Vance visit
US President Donald Trump ramped up his claims to Greenland on Wednesday
saying ahead of a visit by Vice President JD Vance that the United States needed to take control of the Danish island for "international security."
"We need Greenland for international safety and security
We have to have it," Trump told podcaster Vince Coglianese
Asked if he thought Greenlanders were eager to join the United States
because it's not possible to properly defend a large section of this Earth
Trump's comments prompted Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to say on her Facebook account: "We mustn't have illusions -- President Trump's interest in Greenland is not going away"
They know that Greenland doesn't want to be part of the United States," she added
saying the message had been communicated "unambiguously."

hvordan kroppen i nogle tilfælde formår at bremse sygdommen

will no longer be part of Herreligaen when the next season starts after the summer break
In the last game of the regular season on Saturday
who has won the Danish title no less than 14 times
was relegated after securing only two wins in the domestic league season
To avoid relegation, Kolding were forced to win away against Sonderjyske, while Grindsted had to lose its game against Bjerringbro-Silkeborg (BSH), and Grindsted pu the final nail in the Kolding coffin by winning 33-30.
Grindsted escaped direct relegation, but still has the risk of going down in the relegation playoffs where also Ribe-Esbjerg, Nordsjaelland, Sonderjyske and TMS Ringsted take part.
Predicted lineups are available for the match a few days in advance while the actual lineup will be available about an hour ahead of the match

Anders Oechsler in action for Kolding against Hungary's MKB Veszprem back in 2010ČTK / AP / Bela SzandelszkyKIF Kolding, the club with most trophies ever in the Danish domestic league, are in imminent danger of relegation after having failed to win a single game in Herreligaen for no less than 20 matches. KIF Kolding has won the Danish Handball Championship a record 14 times and the cup tournament eight times
The club have played in the top division since 1984 and has dominated the Danish domestic league for more than 40 years
their days among the elite handball clubs in Denmark could soon be outnumbered
Kolding are currently propping up the standings in the domestic league and are without a win in their last matches
who took part in winning the Danish title in 2005 and 2006
admits that the club is staring relegation right in the eye
Koldings core identity is based on the fact that last year we celebrated 40 years at the top and are thus the only club in the country that has played in the top division for over 40 years"
says Christian Hjermind in a podcast for dr.dk
The last time Kolding won the Danish title was in 2015 but the club, who in March 2018 went back to their original name after KIF Kolding København was formed in August 2012, has since been haunted by threats of bankruptcy. They also barely escaped relegation in 2022 when a goal three seconds from the end against TTH Holstebro kept them in the league
but if we look at the last seven-eight-nine years
we have lived a life at the wrong end of the table"
There are four matches remaining in the regular season and a virtual miracle is needed if Kolding isn't going to end in last place and be relegated. The expected crucial encounter will take place on 9 April, when Kolding face Grindsted who are equal on points with Kolding but has a better goal difference
"I have a strong belief that when it comes to a decisive match against Grindsted
unless something completely crazy happens over the next few matches
so I would think that will be the one that decides it"
Kolding will also desperately be hoping to get points on the table when they face Skjern Handball at thome in the Sydbank Arena Saturday afternoon
New Zealand international forward Ava Collins has signed for top-tier Danish club Kolding IF
Collins (22) joins the club after playing for St John’s Red Storm in New York and
having a short stint with Auckland United in the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premiership
the premier Danish women’s football league
The 16-cap Football Fern told Kolding IF’s website: “The club has so many great people working around it which makes it a great comfortable environment to be a part of
The girls have all been so welcoming and helpful in settling me in so I can’t wait to get started on this season.”
Kolding’s head coach Allan Drost said: “Ava is a player that I have followed for a while and when there was an opportunity to link Ava to the squad
I had no doubt that it was an option we had to pursue
“With her speed and good 1 v 1 skills
she can handle all three forward positions and will be a challenge for all defences in the league.”
Collins played school football for Auckland’s St Cuthbert’s College and was with Eastern Suburbs before heading overseas in 2021

lad mig dog have mine formålsløse søgninger i fred
at vores søgninger bliver mere bæredygtige – altså mindre energikrævende
Tag OpenAIs GPT-4: Det tog 5-6 seks måneder at træne den

“The fish are like vitamin gummy bears for kids,” Jeppe Kolding says. Kolding is a Professor at the Department of Biology at the University of Bergen (UiB)
He is lead author of a report published by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
Kolding worked as a nurse and midwife in Kenya
sun dried fish as a supplement in their children’s food
which otherwise consist mainly of corn meal (Ugali)
“The proper development of the immune system as well as brain capacity in small children depend on certain fatty acids
solely ingested through milk or fish,” says Kolding
The report points out that the dry regions south of Sahara can benefit greatly from establishing fish as a dietary supplement
Despite lakes occasionally drying up and later returning
there is a basis for life for certain species of small resilient fish in the area
The fish return quickly to areas that have been dry
and can propagate incredibly fast when conditions are right
the regions in question can produce 1.25 million tonnes of fish per year
This amounts to 25 per cent of the total registered yield on the African main land
“The fish are hardy and adapted to the conditions they exist in,” the biology professor says
Harnessing the massive potential has its demands
Politicians and governments need to recognise fish production as part of the agricultural development including water reservoirs for irrigation
Kolding thinks that one for too long has only put emphasis on one thing: agriculture
“One builds thousands of small water reservoirs
forgetting that they also can be used for fish
Most people in these areas have been fishermen and farmers for generations,” Kolding points out
He is of the opinion that the current rules and regulations represent an out-dated and mistaken way of thinking
particularly regarding mesh sizes in fishing nets
The official demand is that fish grow large to adult size before being harvested
making it illegal to fish the smaller specimens
The justification is mainly economic interests
A mere 0.001 per cent of the fish grow large enough to be caught in the larger meshes
you lose 90 per cent of the potential energy the fish can provide,” Kolding says
In addition to its economic and nutritional value
the small fish can play a big role in times of need such as droughts
Sun dried fish can potentially be stored for years

Seattle police internal investigators found that former Lt
Brendan Kolding violated “multiple (Seattle Police Department) policies” and a city personnel rule against workplace harassment by sending an insulting letter to another officer’s workplace last year
when investigators confronted Kolding about finding his fingerprint on a piece of tape used to seal the envelope containing the letter
Kolding denied sending the letter and suggested the complaining officer somehow must have taken Kolding’s prints to implicate him
“If he has tape that my fingerprints are on
that totally doesn’t surprise me,” Kolding told them
Internal investigators ultimately sustained five misconduct violations — including dishonesty — against Kolding
Kolding resigned from the department before the internal investigation was finished
saying he was leaving to campaign for the council full-time
Records show Kolding issued his letter of resignation to Chief Carmen Best on Feb
22 — three days after his union representative canceled a scheduled meeting with internal investigators who sought to question him as part of a dishonesty probe
That investigation was opened based on Kolding’s denials and statements in the then-pending harassment case
“If you were still employed with the Department, the recommendation would be termination of employment,” the department wrote in a proposed disciplinary action report issued to Kolding in May
Kolding, who did not immediately return a phone message Wednesday, has denied the allegations against him
claiming he is the victim of retaliation within the department
But Kolding seemed to change the story he gave to investigators in a written statement he later sent to Best
After thinking over his interview with the Office of Police Accountability (OPA)
Kolding wrote: “I recovered a vague memory of sending the envelope to the complainant
within approximately 12 hours of my interview
I recalled taking the actions that I had been accused of taking but had originally denied
I was unable to sleep for the rest of the night.”
Kolding has requested a hearing with Best on July 25 to try to clear his name
The OPA records released Wednesday portray a rocky workplace relationship marked by multiple disputes between Kolding and the officer who complained about him dating back to at least 2017
Kolding had previously worked with the officer for more than five years
the unidentified officer filed the complaint against Kolding alleging harassment after receiving the letter left in an envelope labeled “SJC Receptionist.” The envelope contained a job posting for the department’s Telephone Reporting Unit
viewed the letter as insulting because it referred to him as a “receptionist,” and saw the job posting as “a pejorative towards him as
this suggested that he was not a competent police officer,” according to the OPA records
The officer suspected Kolding sent the letter as “part of a larger pattern of harassment” previously reported to department supervisors
Past disputes between Kolding and the officer included a complaint Kolding had filed in 2017 accusing the officer of leaving work early
and another in which Kolding claimed the officer threatened him with a pair of scissors
A supervisor later deemed that reported threat to be “unfounded,” the OPA records show
“He further alleged that (Kolding) had been dishonest in the prior cases,” according to the records
supervisors later counseled Kolding about treating others professionally
the officer filed his complaint about the letter
About 3 1/2 hours after OPA investigators notified Kolding about that complaint
the department’s Latent Print Unit received an anonymous call from a male
for OPA investigations do you guys do a latent print evaluation?”
The caller hung up when told that sometimes happens
Investigators later traced the call to Kolding’s personal cell phone
when asked why there was a call from his phone
he told OPA that he had no explanation why he made a call … from his personal cell phone,” the records say
is among three primary-election candidates vying for the Council’s District 1 seat
which represents West Seattle and South Park
The other candidates are incumbent Councilmember Lisa Herbold and attorney Phillip Tavel
Kolding partly built his campaign on combating what he called the council’s “culture of hostility” toward police
he has said his experience with the police department would prepare him to replace Herbold
When asked last week why he hadn’t mentioned the internal investigation during his campaign
Kolding responded: “This is a personal situation
My side of the story hasn’t been totally considered with this yet.”
who ran unsuccessfully as a Democrat for a state House seat in 2016
has said he left the department to campaign for the council full time and denied that his resignation was motivated by the investigation
Aside from the internal investigation records
the department also released on Wednesday 95 pages of records from Kolding’s personnel file
memos and letters of commendation for his work; hiring
certification and promotional records; and documents related to Kolding’s resignation this year
“I am resigning from SPD so I can campaign full-time for the Seattle City Council,” Kolding wrote as the reason for leaving the department in a form submitted to Best
“I feel that is what I need to do to win the election.”
Kolding also wrote: “I would be honored to have the opportunity to return to SPD as a lieutenant.”
Kolding has a July 25 meeting scheduled with the department in which he can seek to have his name cleared
Best is expected to decide whether to uphold the OPA’s findings
Although no disciplinary action can be taken against Kolding if Best upholds the findings
the result could harm his political standing
In his statement to the chief about the case
Kolding wrote: “As you deliberate on this matter
I request that you consider my entire ten-year career with the SPD
I have had zero sustained complaints.”

UPDATE: Runaway Mountain Lakes teen found, unhurt, by shopping plaza in Philadelphia
Mountain Lakes runaway Thomas Kolding has been found safe in Philadelphia, two weeks after he left his parents a note and left home with $1,000
The Morris County Prosecutor's Office and Mountain Lakes police announced at 5 p.m
Tuesday that the 15-year-old was found safe.
Authorities did not provide details on where Kolding was found
his father Nicolai Kolding posted on Facebook that Thomas was found in Philadelphia and needed at least a night in the hospital
as "he's been through a lot over these last two weeks."
Nicolai Kolding also thanked everyone who helped in the search
and said "in time there may be more to share."
Agencies credited with helping in the search are New Jersey State Police and police forces from NJ Transit
the Delaware Port Authority and Miami Township
Family and friends had continued a persistent search for the 15-year-old
two weeks after he left home the night before Halloween and 10 days after his last confirmed sighting in Philadelphia
A few hours before Thomas was found Tuesday
his father posted a video on YouTube telling his son he loved him and that he would be sincerely listened to if he came home
every second of every day," Kolding said on the video. "I don't want you out there feeling like you're being hunted down
that you're a fugitive and maybe you're watching this all along and still want to keep going
"One of the things I've not been able to figure out from the start is are you running to
If there's something all along you were trying to say and you felt like I wasn't listening
I didn't connect, or worse yet that you felt you couldn't say something
Friends also started a GoFundMe page to help parents Nicolai and Aleksandra Kolding with flyer printing
the site had reached nearly $16,000 of a $20,000 donation goal and says that if Thomas is found or excess funds remain
they will be donated to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
the parents have posted updates for the community on their Facebook page
That's when Thomas was captured on surveillance camera images at the Walter Rand train station in Camden around 2 p.m
and within an hour at the corner of Fifth and Race streets in Philadelphia
The family received unconfirmed reports of Thomas being seen in Ohio but none had panned out
Nicolai Kolding wrote on Facebook that he went to Camden last Friday to try to make sense of his son's route through the teen's eyes
"I'm retracing his steps now to try to find out more and see things through his eyes," Kolding wrote
The father's latest post said the family spent time Monday celebrating the birthday of Thomas' youngest brother
and had been meeting virtually non-stop with detectives
including those from Mountain Lakes and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office
"It was clearly not the same without Thomas
but we also all needed to smile and even laugh a little together," Nicolai Kolding wrote
FIND THOMAS: Missing Mountain Lakes teen left cellphone behind, took $1,000 in cash when he left home
ONLINE: The internet can teach your kid how to run away from home. Parents, here’s what to know
RUNAWAYS: Mountain Lakes teen Thomas Kolding puts spotlight on runaways
The Mountain Lakes High School freshman and soccer player left notes for his parents and a friend the night of Oct
30 before riding his bicycle to the Denville train station
Police and family say he boarded a train for Newark then continued to Penn Station in New York City
with his last known whereabouts in Philadelphia on Nov
Nicolai Kolding had said in an interview that an argument over grades and "not living up to his potential" he had with his honors-student son may have led to the teen's disappearance
He left with about $1,000 in savings and a large blue Adidas backpack but left behind his cellphone and other electronic devices so he couldn't be tracked

SmallFish4Food is one out of only 12 projects globally to be funded via this call
Hitting the right spot at the right time in combining fish with nutrition
The African Development Bank issued a policy brief in March 2024 which stated that if we’re to get more food from the sea
there is only one way to go – with small fish
This is unanimously agreed upon in scientific circles,” says Kolding and believes that this combines with increased attention to human health
He and Overå stress that they’ve been fortunate enough to connect with the right research partners and that interdisciplinarity has always been key in their projects
“We’re indeed riding a wave of increased interest in small fish
This is also part of a larger trend in global food systems
We also see it in discussions for plant-based diets and eating less meat
But fish has not been as high on the agenda
We now see that fish is on the way up and we’re part of this wave
It’s nice to contribute to putting sustainable fish consumption on the agenda,” Overå says
Kolding points out that small fish production is more sustainable as it doesn’t lead to increased use of water resources or fertilizer compared to other production methods
SmallFish4Food builds on the LEAP-Agri project SmallFishFood. What’s the main difference between the new and this previous project?
“Not much. The only prerequisite in the call was that the new project must build on an existing project,” explains Kolding.
Yet they point to two new key elements in the new project.
“There is more of a spotlight on fishmeal production, or perhaps rather the competition between fish feed and human consumption of fish meal, and the nutritional content of wild fish compared to farmed fish,” says Kolding.
“Also, we’re studying the consumer market more closely for this project. In the past, we’ve had a spotlight on nutrition. However, much of my research stopped at the market and in the value chain once the fish had reached the market,” says Overå adding:
“This time we also want to find out a lot more about non-wild fish, i.e., aquaculture and fish farming. We will look at what perception different consumer groups have of this. This is mostly a middle-class market. What fish do they eat? At the same time, we will compare the nutritional content of wild fish and farmed fish, and competition between small fish for food and feed.”
According to Kolding farmed fish is generally three times as expensive as small fish.
“People have become snobs. In the past we ate herring and potatoes. Now we eat farmed salmon. Even in Africa. You just don’t serve small fish to visiting guests,” he says.
The most relevant local fish for farming in many African countries is tilapia.
“Fish farming is also promoted by Norway, who is pushing fish farming and aquaculture in the global south,” says Kolding pointing to Norad supporting such projects actively.
SmallFish4Food is awarded 611,000 Euro, of which the Research Council of Norway contributes with about half, or 310,000 Euro. The Norwegian part of the funding is equally split by UiB and Institute of Marine Research, where researcher Marian Kjellevold is active in the project. She has long been engaging in research collaborations with Overå and Kolding, including its predecessor SmallFishFood.
Why has the topic of small fish been for better nutrition and increased food security been so underrepresented in global food programmes?
“That’s a good question, but that’s the way it is. If you study food tables around the world, you will find that cattle are divided into categories everywhere. Even chicken has many subcategories. But fish is only fish. Not what type of fish. Skinny. Oily. Filet. Parts of fish. Seafoods only account for 1-2 per cent of what we eat. And even this small number is decreasing,” Kolding says.
“Which is interesting on several levels as there is a strong flashlight on the ocean and waters now. The key role of ocean governance is often mentioned. This is out of sight and therefore out of mind for us on land. What happens far out in the ocean is not something we’re very conscious about. There is a lot of activity that is invisible when you view it from land,” Overå says.
“Yet it’s a paradox that when you drive in the country and see the tractors ploughing the fields: How much biodiversity is being destroyed? At the same we’re trawling only one per cent of the seabed. This points to two separate ethical views for land-based and ocean-based food production,” Kolding explains.
How can SmallFish4Food contribute to closing the knowledge gaps and provide the information that is needed? Not the least for policymakers to make the right decisions.
“The ambition to increase Norwegian salmon production fivefold by 2050 needs to be put in a global food security perspective. When you consider the problem with small fish for feed: Is this the best way to utilize these food resources? We are becoming very short sighted in Norway, unable to see that the salmon swimming in our fjords are completely connected to other global food systems, only to make money from incredibly capital-intensive food production,” she says.
“Norwegian salmon has been a financial success. But what has it cost in other ways of measuring values? The whole discourse is about to change. We must not feed the entire population with farmed fish. The world discourse is about to move from economics to food security,” believes Kolding.
What activities do you plan now that the project has been officially launched?
“We will look at the value chain. Where does the small fish make its way? Where does it land? How much goes out locally and internationally? We will create a balance sheet model with an auditing system of how much waste there is in the value chain. Who gains and loses? Look at more analyses of products that we did not finish with in the previous project. Ragnhild will look at the entire trade route,” says Kolding.
What changes do you hope the project can contribute to and are there particular policies you want to influence? And how do you believe these changes in policy can be implemented?
“We will look at individual countries’ policy on food security and try to influence it nationally. All countries have food security policies and strategies. Our aim is to look at how to integrate small fish into these,” concludes Jeppe Kolding.
Text description provided by the architects. The visitor center at Skamlingsbanken in Kolding is an architectural portal to the glacial landscape and its history of democratic events. The center is designed as a natural and integrated part of the undulating landscape and from the overall design to the small details, visitors will experience an architecture that finds its origin in Skamlingsbanken's unique nature and history.
A common ground for democratic culture – then, now, and in the future. Skamlingsbanken holds a central place in Danish history, and over time it has been a setting for debates about democracy, the border country, and women's suffrage. In the past, Skamlingsbanken - due to its undulating landscape with hollows and hills - was a natural gathering point sheltered from the wind, and many civil gatherings and festivals, therefore, took place right here.
© Adam Mørk“Skamlingsbanken connects the past with the present and the future, and one of the project’s main ambitions has been to actualize the place’s remarkable history and nature into a contemporary context. The new visitor center is a modern arena for democratic culture and recreates Skamlingsbanken as a setting for important debates and education about the things that concern us, e.g., climate change,” says Carsten Primdahl, partner and architect at CEBRA. He elaborates:
Plan“Today, nature and the ecosystems of our planet are challenged as a consequence of human activities, and it is a shared democratic task to protect and maintain the planet as a safe habitat for nature, animals, and humans. At Skamlingsbanken we have created a place where visitors will gain knowledge about our democracy and nature through a diversity of experiences.”
A space in the landscape. Skamlingsbanken’s landscape was created during the last ice age and offers a rich and varied nature characterized by rolling hills and large meadows, and the scenic context has been the main inspiration for the design of the visitor center. By elevating the landscape along with two circular cuts, the exhibition space becomes a subtle insertion in the landscape in the form of a softly curved hill.
The main attraction at Skamlingsbanken is nature itself. When visitors enter the exhibition space, they will experience moving through the hill and its many hidden stories. The corrugated back wall is plastered with clay, and the rest of the interior is characterized by local materials like wood, terrazzo with fieldstones and, calm, earthy color tones. The introvert and dimmed exhibition space culminate with a spectacular panoramic view towards the Little Belt Strait.

Hopefully he comes back because that would make a lot of people happy," Maier said
Interim Principal Frank Sanchez said counselors have been on hand at the school and next week students can add to a scrapbook about Thomas by drawing or including photographs and messages in it
He said Thomas was a student he supervised in an entrepreneur program
You could see him as a leader already," Sanchez said

I 2024 begyndte Evido at tjene penge.
De to stiftede Evido Health i 2021.
Virksomheden beskæftiger syv i alt, men kun lidt endnu.

UPDATE: Mountain Lakes runaway believed to be 'safe,' spotted in Philadelphia
On the day before Halloween, 15-year-old Thomas Kolding placed some of his belongings in a large black backpack, grabbed $1,000 of his own savings, climbed onto his bicycle and ran away from home
He left his cellphone and other electronics behind in his Mountain Lakes home along with a handwritten note that explained he did not want to be found.
on Monday said his son ran off after an argument about his grades
Kolding said his son may have been upset over the argument about grades
though added that he's in honors math and science classes
The Mountain Lakes High School freshman took about $1,000 in cash he had earned shoveling snow
mowing lawns and pet-sitting for neighbors
"The argument about his grades may have been the trigger
I was trying to motivate him and get him to live up to his potential," his father said
"I think he was feeling pressure at school
and I want to believe that some strange part of him needed to get away for a while."
working with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office
told the Koldings their son rode his bicycle to the Denville train station
where he bought a ticket to the Broad Street station in Newark
Police also told the Koldings surveillance cameras recorded his son at the Broad Street station late on Oct

He said police believe his son then caught train 6280 to Penn Station in New York
but they have not yet been able to secure surveillance footage
Nicolai Kolding said he is so desperate to find his son that he was headed Monday night to Penn Station with a friend to try to convince authorities to turn over surveillance images from Oct
"We don't have evidence of Tom at Penn Station
explaining that the family often travels abroad to their summer home in Norway
He said he and his wife encourage their three sons to be independent
Thomas flew back alone to the United States from Norway
Not hearing from his oldest son for six days is taking a toll
adding that his middle son hugs Thomas' bed each morning
Kolding said he has personally scoured the woods by his home and crawled through drainpipes around his neighborhood to make sure Thomas isn't hiding out
and we're so impressed and in awe of him and his ambition," his father said
The family believes Thomas may have been interested in traveling to California
because the internet history on his laptop shows some research
But Nicolai Kolding said the family doesn't know if he's out west, hiding nearby or in New York City.
He said he believes his son would have taken his special collection of gemstones and old coins with him if he planned to stay away a long time
and the fact he left them behind tells me something," Kolding said
His parents reported Thomas Kolding missing on Oct
the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said
5-foot-3-inch freshman has a "strong interest" in traveling to California
a former Mountain Lakes High School student
There is a nationwide search for the youth underway
A neighbor said Thomas is "very smart and very mature," and she hopes he gets in touch with his parents
a spokesman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office
said there have not been any reported sightings of the teen
who had not called home as of Monday morning
Thomas' disappearance was made public on Friday
three days after he was last seen at his family's home
Police said he has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and gray winter skull cap and carrying a large black backpack
While law enforcement agencies continue their investigation
his disappearance has gone viral on social media as Facebook users share stories and information
had been shared by nearly 39,000 by Monday morning
"No progress," read her last post on Sunday
"Please keep spreading the word and tell all to look for a very LARGE BLACK BACKPACK he has on him — I think that's the telltale sign for those that don't recognize him," she wrote
The New Jersey State Police used Facebook on Friday to ask for clues from the public about Thomas' whereabouts
The police post had been shared by nearly 19,000 people by Monday morning

A Russian man who has been held in pre-trial detention in Denmark for six months in connection with a threat against Billund Airport in April this year has been charged with possession of explosives and disrupting infrastructure
newswire Ritzau reports after court proceedings in Kolding on Thursday
The man is also accused of an aggravated form of theft
The charges were revealed following the proceedings at Kolding City Court
where the man’s pre-trial detention was extended for a further six weeks
South East Jutland Police have not previously allowed the charges against the 37-year-old man to be made public
They were stated by his defence lawyer during Thursday’s hearing
The man was arrested after handing over an object to police at Billund Airport on April 20th
He declared that the object contained explosives
A controlled detonation by police experts later destroyed the package
Police have not confirmed whether the package actually contained explosives
but prosecutor Bettina Wagner said at Thursday’s court hearing that police are awaiting a supplementary declaration relating to the dangers of the highly explosive substance TATP
Investigators have connected the case to an explosion at an ATM outside the nearby Legoland theme park earlier on the same day
The suspect took part in the hearing via a video link from prison in Nyborg
He read a pre-prepared statement which was translated from Russian to Danish by an interpreter
he said he did not want to return to Russia because of threats to his “life and health”
He also said he had claimed asylum in Finland
The man’s defence lawyer has told newswire Ritzau that he partly admits the charges against him
We sat down with professor Jeppe Kolding to learn more about the relation between Inland fisheries
why we should pay more attention to this sector
and how it can increase food security and nutrition for communities all over the world
Can you talk about the importance of inland fisheries and aquatic small-scale producers for employment
resource stewardship and cultural values for communities
Human societies have always evolved around rivers or lakes or in vicinity of freshwater
and where there's water there's usually fish
Freshwater fisheries have always been part of the human culture
and fish has always been part of the human diet
Freshwater systems are at least ten times more productive per unit area than marine and provide more nutritious fish than the oceans
the importance of freshwater fisheries is undervalued
and under studied because most of the discussion about fisheries is centered around the more visible marine fisheries
and the models and the fisheries management paradigm are based on what has been developed for marine fisheries
Freshwater fisheries have a very important role in terms of food security for communities all over the world
In many different parts of Africa for example
wherever there’s a pond or a stream you usually see women with mosquito nets and baskets
Fishing at such a small scale is often ignored in fisheries statistics
Studies have shown that most freshwater fishers are also farmers
which means that they are registered in the official statistics as farmers not as fishers
Inland fisheries are a very important part of this diversified livelihood
so it is important to keep talking and keep raising awareness on the relevance inland fisheries have as a source of nutritious and easily available food for many communities
Inland fisheries also reflect the seasonal reality of rural livelihoods
if a farmer does not have access to food during the season when the crops grow
he/she will likely rely on wild foods including fish from rivers or streams to provide food for their families
it used to be the same in most western “global-north” societies
but nowadays freshwater fisheries in many of these countries have become recreational rather than important assets for human nutrition
and that has an important impact on how inland fisheries is perceived
policies and legislation that promote sustainable inland fisheries
Governments should start by developing national strategies to understand these fisheries
what we see is a complete lack of information about how much fish and aquatic food is being caught and collected and the impact that has on the nutrition of many families
There are so many villages with access to fishing in small rivers and streams and no information is collected about that
one of the main issues for inland fisheries is the underreporting and undervaluation of the sector
Inland fisheries are much larger than the available data suggests
most of freshwater fisheries contributes little to the country’s GDP
but the important fact is that its contribution to food security
When we talk about fisheries we usually refer to the volume of the catch
without considering the nutritious components
and it has been clearly demonstrated that the small fish
that constitute the bulk of the catch in many inland fisheries and are eaten whole
are more nutritious than large fish of which large parts are discarded as waste
so we can say that people are not only being fed
but they are being fed with highly nutritious food
we need to change peoples’ mindset about freshwater fisheries
most conversations about food security revolve around agriculture
but there is an opportunity to increase the consumption of nutritious food and improve food security through inland fisheries
Freshwater fisheries in general are very resilient to exploitation
because many of the dominating species in inland fisheries reproduce at a young age and grow very fast making inland fisheries sustainable despite high fishing pressure
How can IYAFA 2022 help increase the awareness of inland fisheries
and what is needed to raise attention on this field
The International Year celebration is an important opportunity to increase awareness about inland fisheries
and the importance of inland fisheries today and in the future
I believe that the most important message we need to bring forward in relation to inland fisheries is that it is extremely sustainable
Freshwater fishes are self-sustaining and most important
anyone with very simple tools can go to a river
pond or lake and catch a bit of fish to improve their families’ diets
I believe it is important to shift peoples’ perception of inland fisheries and make them understand that it is an economic activity of fundamental importance for peoples’ livelihoods
Changing the narrative changes the results
I am not saying other agricultural activities are not essential
but I believe we can have new and sustainable solutions if we look at freshwater fisheries as an economic activity

the Trapholt Museum of Art and Design in Kolding
is now presenting the first exhibition of the complete works of the designer
who would have been 100 years old this year
As the curator of the exhibition, Sara Staunsager, reports in an interview with Stylepark
it is not just about presenting Ditzel’s designs
the show sheds light on Ditzel’s way of working and focuses on “her ability to think radically and create designs with ground-breaking impact”
the exhibition shows that she “worked neither with routine nor with what had already been done
Her work is characterised by “the ability to work creatively
reflect and be media-aware – all skills that we now call 21st century skills.” To emphasise these skills
the exhibition will present two of Ditzel’s major works in particular
her “Stairscapes” (furniture landscapes that invite you to lie down
lounge and move freely) and the last museum exhibition “Haven”
as examples of how she was inspired and then translated these impressions into designs

Galleri Nicolai Wallner is pleased to present "self
exploring the role of the self and its relation to the world around it
he has created a visual lexicon that draws on the historical cannons of the visual arts
he actualises a world that is as richly complex as it is aesthetically beautiful
portraits" puts forward a poignant visual narrative of the ways in which roles and identities are acted out and created
Expanding on the cut and paste technique he is known for
cutout sculptures become three-dimensional collages
portraits" invites us in to a scenographic landscape
The cutout sculptures are brought together with textile elements that emphasise their sculptural qualities
moveable folding screens which both divide and create space
and traditional collages on paper which are dispersed throughout
The installation is punctuated by large-scale lambdas whose surface and size expose the nature of the original source material
This shift to more theatrical underpinnings is visibly present
and it is tempting to think that Kolding’s recent work on stage design and scenography for an original opera adaptation of the Virginia Woolf book "To the Lighthouse" for the renowned Bregenzer Festspiele in a collaboration with Kunsthaus Bregenz has influenced this shift from a more subtle and understated approach to more dramatic gestures and overtures
As you move through the almost labyrinth-like space
the pieces reveal and conceal themselves in turn
in a sense echoing the way our identities are composed through a variety of elements and differing situations
Just as a costume or a prop can dramatically alter the portrayal of a character on stage
or an item of clothing can change our understanding of a person
each work puts forward another version of an identity
illustrates just how fragile and fluid this relationship between the self and its surroundings can be
and it is within the crux of this relationship that Kolding’s focus lies
His depiction of portraits and self-portraits creates an intimate feeling
yet these are not portraits in the classical sense that are based on showing a physical likeness
chosen forms of self-representation are put forward
Emblematic of this new approach is a cutout sculpture in which an abstract figure from a drawing by the American artist Robert Motherwell stands in as a self-portrait by Kolding
There is a clear impression that the works and the elements put forward are deeply personal to Kolding
yet to the viewer they remain open to individual interpretations and applications
This idea of subjective interpretations and associative narratives leading to explorations of identity as created in a continuous dialogue between context and individual action has long been a focal point of Kolding’s practice
and this exhibition brings it into decisively new territory
portraits" can be understood as repeated attempts by the artist to understand his own sense of identity

Runaway Thomas Kolding turned up in Philadelphia two weeks after he left a note with his parents and walked out the door of his suburban Mountain Lakes home
The ensuing search for the 15-year-old honors student gripped the nation
USA TODAY Network New Jersey and DailyRecord.com on Tuesday reported he was found unhurt near a large shopping mall
The teen had no obvious injuries and was turned over to the police department's Special Victims Unit
and then to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation
expressed gratitude Tuesday to those who helped
and said the family "will go quiet for a while to focus everything we can give to the long road to recovery."
Thomas "will need at least a night in the hospital as he’s been through a lot over these last two weeks," he said
Running away is not a criminal offense in New Jersey — and the state has procedures in place if a runaway crosses into another state
New Jersey is a member of the Interstate Compact on Juveniles
which establishes guidelines to follow for the return of runaways to their home state
A runaway may voluntarily consent to being returned to his state of residence
he or she can be requisitioned by a parent
person or agency entitled to legal custody.
The process of requisitioning the child's return is coordinated by the courts and Compact Administrators of New Jersey and the other state involved
the Division of Child Protection and Permanency is responsible for non-delinquent runaways
When someone runs away from home the agency provides support services for the runaway and the family to figure out what drove them away
deputy for Case Practice within the Division of Child Protection and Permanency
The agency did not respond to specific questions about Kolding and to other broader questions about the reintegration process
the executive director of National Runaway Safeline
said what happens next depends on what the circumstances were at home
"If returning him home is not a safe option than the story kind of differs."
She said child agencies don't always get involved when a youth runs away
and there are a lot of homeless and runaway youth who are not in the juvenile justice system or in the foster care system.
"It's going to vary depending on why the youth ran and what what's going on with him," Frankel said.
The National Runaway Safeline is a resource center for runaways and parents
In addition to the phone line (1-800-RUNAWAY)
Often a runaway youth who winds up on the street will commit "survival crimes" like stealing food
"That would then be a different case," she said
Frankel said a youth who has been gone for a few days can experience something horrible while on the run
Support is available back home in the form of family counseling and other services

More: The internet can teach your kid how to run away from home. Parents, here’s what to know
Frankel said studies show that teens run away because they are leaving something
"The reasons they left vary but the majority were related to family dynamics and abuse at home," she said.
The re-entry process is very different for youths who run away and live on the streets for six months
"There is an entire network of runway and homeless youth service providers across the country that provide resources
runaways can get help deciding where to go and how to move forward with their lives
There are about 30 shelters for runaway youths under 18 listed at nj211.org
a state- and nonprofit-funded human resources site.
Isaiah House is an emergency homeless shelter and drop-in center for youth in East Orange
It's one of seven first-line shelters for runaways in New Jersey.
The East Orange facility's executive director, Zammeah Bivins-Gibson, said runaways
homeless minors and children at risk of becoming homeless can be referred to Isaiah House by anyone
the youth is sheltered in one of the Isaiah House facilities for 21 days or longer if needed
Ultimately they may be referred to the Department of Children and Families
but not before attempts are made to reunify them with a family member or have them placed at another location where they can receive medical care if it is needed
Frankel said his case highlights an assumption that runaway and homeless youth
"are someone else's kids" and that "they must not be from good families."
She said there are a variety of reasons and circumstances that prompt youth to leave home
"They're all walks of life and all kinds of different backgrounds," Frankel said
Running away is not an episode of the Brady Bunch with a happy ending, said Steve Simpson, a New York based child advocate and author of young adult books like "Runaway," "Who Am I," and "The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook."
Simpson was a teen runaway who couch-surfed on Long Island as a teenager.
He said a positive foster home experience helped him escape an abusive alcoholic father and turn his grades around in school
who also works with teens and young adults living in dysfunctional family situations
said it's important to raise awareness of why children become runaways in the first place to prevent it
While it's great that runaways make it back home
they may only be returning to the abusive situation they were trying to escape in the first place
"Because why would someone leave the comfort of a home to go out in an environment and live like that?" he said
"They're going to run away again or just be abused again."
Simpson said when runaway youths reintegrate they often have to deal with being misunderstood and stereotyped. Classmates
and neighbors might treat them differently
"They start looking at the kid like they're the problem and it adds into the denial of what's going on inside the household," he said
"Imagine you're being abused by multiple adults and on top of it you're being treated like the criminal from the neighbors
Other parents tell their children not to hang out with the kid who's always running away.
"This is what goes on in these kid's lives," Simpson said
No one gets up one morning out of nowhere and decides to leave home or kill themselves

MOUNTAIN LAKES — Tuesday will mark one week since 15-year-old Thomas Kolding went missing after an argument with his parents
and police are still hoping he can be found safely
Detective John Hukowski of the Mountain Lakes Police Department said there have been a few possible sightings of the teen over the past six days, but nothing concrete to help them locate him. Police do not believe Kolding was abducted from his parents' house
and are investigating several leads to hopefully find him
"They got into an argument about his grades on Monday
and on Tuesday night he left," Hukowski said
Hukowski said Kolding has no history of running away
and police had not been called to the home for any issues in the past
police are concerned that being out on his own could be dangerous because he is young and is relatively small in stature
"We're more worried about taking advantage of him," Hukowski said
has posted Facebook on about her son's disappearance since Friday night
and far-too-adventurous young man who we are worried about beyond words."
On Sunday she updated her post to say that while there had been no update on his location people should be on the lookout for a boy with a "very LARGE BLACK BACKPACK." She said the bag could be the "telltale sign for those that don't recognize him."
Police believe Kolding took a train from the Denville train station to Newark and then moved on to New York
Hukowski said police have images of the boy at the train station with the bag that "looks like he has his whole life in there."
"If somebody sees this kid travelling alone that should be a dead giveaway as well," he said of the bag
"This kid does not look like he belongs to be traveling by himself."
the police department posted on its Facebook page that it is searching various areas of the town
Hukowski said there were some areas Kolding was known to visit
and they wanted to make sure they checked all the possible places
Kolding's mother's post has been shared more than 42,000 times since it was put up on Friday
The number of shares has nearly doubled since Sunday alone
He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket and a gray skull cap
