Honda Racing Corporation and Gariboldi Racing are pleased to announce that the collaboration that started in 2014 has had a long-term extension which sees the bond between the pair grow even stronger which has seen a huge amount of success in the motocross world championships – including Tim Gajser’s five world titles – has consistently proved itself to be one of the strongest teams in the paddock in the MXGP class And after this year’s reintroduction of the Honda CRF250R underneath the awning where Ferruccio Zanchi finished top 10 in the MX2 class in his rookie campaign there is growing belief that Team HRC can challenge for honours in both divisions and provide a real pathway for future talent to win on CRF machinery The long-term extension was agreed upon when Giacomo Gariboldi recently headed to Japan with both parties excited to put pen to paper Always one of the leading lights in the MXGP paddock the Team HRC setup provides a head-of-the-class facility for riders and staff members and it is something that impresses the Japanese HRC members when they frequently visit the world motocross championships In what is one of the most successful branches of Honda Racing Corporation’s many programmes the goal is to continue doing everything that has worked in the 10 years so far as well as make sure there is a structure in place for the riders of tomorrow to be able to see themselves winning on the Honda brand in the future it was recognised that this extension would give the security which was critical for riders to be able to focus purely on the racing side of things increase the chances of success for everyone involved Continuing the theme that structure and stability can bring success Ruben Fernandez (MXGP) and Ferruccio Zanchi (MX2) will all be returning for the 2025 World Motocross Championships under the Team HRC awning Gajser narrowly missed out on the 2024 MXGP title on the last race of the championship but then showed everyone what he was capable of by putting in a truly memorable one-one performance at the Motocross of Nations The Slovenian will be looking to go one position better in the 2025 season and add to his five-world titles that he’s won whilst part of Team HRC Tim Gajser #243: «I feel like Team HRC is my second-family and I believe it is the best place and gives me the best opportunity for me to win races and championships We are always striving to improve and I trust that we can keep getting better and better and that is what I’m looking for right now in my career A happy rider is a fast rider and I couldn’t be happier to be riding for Team HRC.» but he came back for the last few rounds and showed race-winning speed in those events With a full off-season of training under his belt he’ll be motivated to show that he can get back to his GP-winning form Argentina could be the perfect place for him to showcase that in round one Ruben Fernandez #70: Throughout my injury layoff I had a lot of time to think about things and make decisions on my future and I knew that Team HRC was the best team for me to be riding for and then supported me when I came back and I know that I want to repay all that faith with some results on the track we had some good results and I truly believe I can challenge throughout the whole of 2025 and get my Honda CRF450R up near the top of the class Zanchi put in a number of impressive performances especially considering it was his first full season in the class and real tenacity on the variety of terrain found in a world championship and proved the power of the Honda CRF250R with a holeshot in Turkiye 2025 could really be a breakout year for the young Italian Ferruccio Zanchi #73: «2024 was a year filled with ups and downs but the one thing that stayed consistent was the effort and teamwork showed by everyone in Team HRC I felt comfortable in the environment and they made my rookie season as good as it possibly could be and with all the data and testing that we did this will really help for the races next year and I wanted to keep the momentum going and not have to change anything too much but now I need to put in the hard-work and make my off-season as strong as I can.« Team HRC’s Tim Gajser made it two podiums out of two as the Slovenian went two-two for second overall at the difficult Intu-Xanadu circuit in Arroyomolinos ruts provided a real challenge for all the riders but Gajser was able to put in two strong races and keep up the challenge at the top of the MXGP Championship Teammate Ruben Fernandez will have surgery on his torn ACL this Tuesday when more information about his recovery period will be available After his second place in the qualification race yesterday the #243 had second gate-pick for the motos today but in the first race he wasn’t able to use that to his advantage and instead came around the first turn in the middle of the field Showing his speed and precision in the rest of the lap he quickly carved his way through the pack and was in fourth place by the end of complete first lap and then a couple of laps after that he was in second but much like the qualifying race yesterday the leader was too far ahead to mount any challenge as Gajser’s Honda CRF450R rocketed around the first turn in second place the #243 tried his best to put pressure on the leader but with the track conditions deteriorating he realised that it was better to maintain his second place than to risk a crash and drop valuable points at this early stage in the championship a two-two finish was still good enough for second step on the podium and gives him soul possession of second place in the title battle with 18 rounds still left to race Next up for Gajser will be the deep sand track of Riola Sardo which hasn’t always been kind to him before but now offers the perfect chance for redemption and a great opportunity to take his first overall victory of the 2024 MXGP World Motocross Championship Following on from his excellent sixth overall in Argentina was always going to be tough for rookie Ferruccio Zanchi but the youngster continued to display the grit and determination that is needed from young riders fighting hard for every position right until the very end Yesterday’s qualification race didn’t give him the best gate-pick but he was just outside the top 10 after the first lap when a problem dropped him to 18th place just a couple of corners from the end the Italian once again had a good start around the top 10 and again spent the entire trying to make up places and hold his position from much more experienced riders This time he was able to cross the line in a very respectable 12th place which will hopefully continue for the next couple of rounds which are both in Italy and at tracks that he is familiar with with the deep sand of Riola followed by the picturesque hillside track of Pietramurata in Trentino part of the Arroyomolinos recreational area is one of the great retreats delighted local fans but also intensified the championship race establishing him as a dominant force in the current season As the flight cases have been unpacked from the season opener in Argentina the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship made a thrilling entry into Europe with the MXGP of Spain at intu Xanadú – Arroyomolinos a recent addition to the MXGP calendar since 2020 not least because of the spectacular win by local hero Jorge Prado in its inaugural year now the reigning MXGP World Champion and racing for Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing returned to his homeland as the series leader following a commanding victory at the YPF Infinia MXGP of Argentina The circuit has witnessed two overall wins from Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team Herlings is looking to close a 22-point gap from Prado despite being 7th in the World Championship standings This round of the championship also marks the opening of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship and the EMX250 Championship highlighting the diverse talent across the motocross community who is eager to improve upon her second-place finish in 2022 Jorge Prado's victory at the MXGP of Spain was a landmark moment as he equaled the record of Belgian legend Eric Geboers with his 39th career Grand Prix win with Tim Gajser from Team HRC closely trailing Prado in the standings despite not having won a GP race at intu-Xanadu Arroyomolinos yet Gajser is determined to narrow the gap further in the championship race The Spanish circuit has not been kind to every competitor as evidenced by Romain Febvre’s massive crash in 2023 which resulted in no points from the event other racers like Pauls Jonass and Maxime Renaux have seen success at this venue with Renaux being the only rider to have won in both classes at this circuit The injury toll from the season opener in Argentina has sidelined several competitors including Brent van Doninck and Jago Geerts the MXGP of Spain has proven to be a crucial battleground for the world’s top motocross talent setting a dramatic and competitive tone for the rest of the season The sporting management has put emphasis on strengthening the team as a whole As we have already mentioned in several articles eight departures and three additions have been the footballing novelties so far the growth of a club is not based only on football there are also many other areas that must go hand in hand to strengthen the Atleti brand Atlético de Madrid has been working very well in other areas such as sales the United States and Europe are good examples of this in addition to the four stores that Atlético de Madrid has open in Getafe Poster of one of the new Atlético de Madrid stores | X: @Atleti One in Leganés and another in Arroyomolinos The first of the new stores will be located in the Westfield ParqueSur Shopping Centre The other store will open in the Intu Xanadú Shopping Centre : C the opening hours are more flexible for the customer and there may be more indirect customers than if it were on a normal street An indirect customer is understood as someone who does not explicitly go to buy something Atlético de Madrid has managed to position the team's brand on a global level The opening of markets such as South America and Asia are a source of income that helps the club grow a lot commercially Atlético de Madrid's commercial growth | Edit Carlos González An example of this is Manchester United They were the first team to realise this potential in the era of Sir Alex Ferguson and their growth was astounding Tractor brands and unlikely products are sponsored by the Red Devils and this allows them to continue to have a leading economic muscle in the world Almost a decade after the Scot's departure United are still in a desert that has relegated them to the second tier of teams in the Premier League Outside of the contenders for the league title not qualified for the Champions League and not favourites in the Europa League This is the harsh reality of Manchester United however part of the footballing mess is alleviated by being the second team that generates the most commercial income Just 50 million dollars behind Real Madrid but it is 950 million dollars ahead of Barcelona (the third) especially considering the last few years of each team There is no doubt that Atlético de Madrid can take Manchester United ➡️ News Germany and the United States. The owner of the pool rented out by Cenet and her friends started using the app last year."I rarely enjoy the swimming pool...so if I only use it a couple for their collaborative efforts in assembling the 2024 MXGP calendar which is poised to deliver 20 thrilling rounds of the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship Full calendars HERE HRC eyeing end of season return for Fernandez as MXGP anticipates multiple GPs in Spain Team HRC will soon confirm a schedule for Ruben Fernandez to get back on the CRF450R after recovery from a torn left ACL sustained in the Qualification Heat for the season-opening Grand Prix in Argentina in March For the second year in a row the Japanese giants have relied on mostly one-rider representation but this time it was the 25-year-old’s turn to sit on the sidelines after he carried the crew in 2023 when former world champion Tim Gajser convalesced from a broken femur Fernandez was forced into the operating theatre before the Spanish Grand Prix in late March He has only just been able to start training and rehabilitation “We had a last check three weeks ago and the doctor is really happy,” said Team Manager Marcus Pereira de Freitas “Ruben is eager to start early but we wanted him to let the body heal in time rather than push so he’s started some cycling and physical training and to build up some muscle around the knee again He was aiming to be on the bike earlier than planned but then he also appreciates the medical point of view MXGP jets to the island of Lombok for an Indonesian double HRC will then wait until after their return to Europe before they can fix a more detailed plan for the Spaniard who is in his second term with the factory crew and is expected to sign a new contract to continue in red “We will make a plan after Indonesia for when he can race again; maybe for the last three or four rounds,” the Brazilian added ‘We are not setting any deadline but we are trying to figure it out and maybe after Lommel [Belgian GP in late July] He hopes to be riding again in a couple of weeks.” De Freitas admits that the vast HRC structure suffers in terms of development when the rider roster is hit The crew have suffered similar bad luck with racers like Brian Bogers Mitch Evans and Evgeny Bobryshev in the last decade “Last year we had the same story but the other way around!” he half-smiles “It is frustrating to have just one bike there when you have all the crew working hard but we still try to gather as much information as we can for Japan and for the U.S With Jorge Prado all-but confirmed for a three-year contract to race in AMA SMX Fernandez will become the country’s leading MXGP athlete and the flurry of other promising youngsters like David Braceras and Oriol Oliver means that the World Championship can still depend on Spanish presence in Grand Prix There have been three GP dates on the Iberian Peninsula so far in the first six months of 2024 – Madrid Agueda [Portugal] and Lugo – with the season-ending trip to Cozar still to come on September 25th Promoters Infront Motor Racing are confident that MXGP will still make several visits to Spain for 2025 (Fernandez’s Galician roots also helping the status of the race in that region) based purely on the Prado effect and the mini-talent boom “It is still too early to say [for 2025] but we have a three-year contract with the three races so normally it should be long-term and the Spanish Federation are working hard to have Spanish youngsters coming into the championship: we see that difference compared to twenty years ago,” said Infront Motor Racing’s CEO David Luongo “Jorge Prado is the best ambassador for the Spanish market but you also have Ruben Fernandez and the riders coming up in MX2 and the European Championship I think the base we have now allows us to have at least two races and also all the races in Spain are supported by the local region to bring awareness and visibility I’m confident we will have more than one race in Spain in the future.” to intu Xanadú – Arroyomolinos for the MXGP of Spain and instantly the local fans got their wish with an overall win for their hero Jorge Prado This circuit has seen two overall wins for Jeffrey Herlings on the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and last year was a historic one as he broke the all-time record for Grand Prix wins with his 102nd career victory.  “The Bullet” goes into this round only seventh in the World Championship and looking to make up some of the 22-point deficit to Prado This time around we will also see the opening rounds of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship and the EMX250 Championship with last year’s WMX Silver Medallist Daniela Guillen providing the Spanish fans with another home hero to cheer for on the RFME GASGAS MX Junior Team as she looks to go one better than her 2022 overall finish of second overall after a loudly-hailed second race win She has a tough task ahead of her though as reigning World Champion and F&H Racing Team debutant Courtney Duncan has won all three WMX GPs at the venue Jorge Prado equalled the record of legendary Belgian racer Eric Geboers with his 39th career Grand Prix win in Spain and looks to be riding a wave of confidence as he regained the red plate on Sunday after losing it to Team HRC’s Tim Gajser following the Slovenian’s win in Sunday’s RAM Qualifying Race.  Gajser has not won a GP race yet at intu-Xanadu Arroyomolinos and will be out to stop Prado from pulling away any more than the three points between them right now Level with Tim in the standings is Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre and despite his obvious hard track prowess the Frenchman also hasn’t had the best of times around the Spanish circuit suffered a massive first corner crash on Saturday that left him with no points from the event in 2023 The only former World Champion not on a full factory team nonetheless scored a fantastic weekend in Argentina to lie fourth in points for Standing Construct Honda The Latvian is suddenly right in the mix and has genuine podium prospects in a country where he won in 2018 at Red Sand Maxime Renaux of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP is the only rider to have won in both classes at this circuit having taken MX2 victory in 2021 on his way to the world title that year and a maximum double race win in 2022 as he picked up the foot injury that put him out for most of the season Looking to bounce back into form on home turf after being forced to miss Sunday’s races in Argentina is the next big Spanish talisman Ruben Fernandez of Team HRC.  A lower leg injury picked up in a first-corner incident has been worked on and he will be pressing for his first points of 2024 Standing Construct Honda’s Alberto Forato is in the same situation after problems with a haematoma kept him out of the opening races.  Josh Gilbert also returns for Gabriel SS24 KTM after crashing heavily out of Saturday’s race and has allowed an elbow injury to heal up in time for Spain we will not see Brent van Doninck of JM Racing Honda or Jago Geerts for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP due to their injuries from Patagonia We wish them both all the best with their recovery Argentina saw total domination for Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing as Lucas Coenen won the RAM Qualifying Race on Saturday then his teammate Kay de Wolf completed stunning charges in each of Sunday’s races to finish as the overall Grand Prix winner and the new MX2 World Championship leader.  MX2 saw the younger stars of the sport absolutely lay it on the line in a sequence of thrilling races and the Spanish round should be no different as the hard-pack specialists look to take advantage before the season heads to the sands of Sardegna for round three Neither of the men in white shone here in 2023 Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Simon Laengenfelder would have been frustrated to not win the overall in Patagonia as the German won the first race of a Grand Prix for the last five rounds in 2023 he could not convert that into a GP win and lies just six points shy of De Wolf in the Championship.  He should be full of confidence heading to intu Xanadu-Arroyomolinos though as he won both of Sunday’s races with authority last year.  With the feel-good buzz sure to surround his team due to Prado’s presence Simon will once more look for perfection on the Iberian Peninsula Third in the table with a steady 40-point haul in Argentina was Thibault Benistant for Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 and the Frenchman just missed the podium here last year so he will be looking to get up there He was denied in 2023 by eventual World Champion Andrea Adamo who lies 5th in the standings for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing The revelation of Argentina was doubtlessly the pace of Mikkel Haarup for the brand-new Monster Energy Triumph Racing team as a fine second in race two on Sunday put the new British machine onto the podium in its very first Grand Prix Both the Dane and his 10th-placed teammate Camden McLellan have been training in Spain throughout the winter The Spanish brand that is Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing will look for more from its rookie sensation Marc-Antoine Rossi who nearly won his first full Grand Prix race before a small crash and a poor second moto left him 6th in the Championship likes the Spanish terrain!  Local riders to look out for this weekend include the WZ Racing Team’s Oriol Oliver and Fantic Factory Racing MX2 pilot David Braceras The series will also welcome back one of its stars from 2023 as Liam Everts hopes to have recovered enough from his injured thumb to join the fray for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing © 2024 WW Magazines All rights reserved. Contact Us | Privacy Policy | Terms and Conditions Round nine of the 2022 FIM World Motocross Championship visited the Madrid International Motocross Circuit right next-door to the intu Xanadú-Arroyomolinos retail complex This is the third time the MXGP tour has visited Arroymolinos and as predicted the weather was baking hot and temperatures exceeded 30 degrees throughout the weekend and once again challenged riders and machines on the tough and technical circuit In the MXGP class Team HRC’s Tim Gajser was keen to move on from his sickness at the last round in Sardinia two weeks ago and although a crash in Saturday’s qualifying race gave Gajser an average choice on the start-gate he blasted his retro-liveried CRF450R into the first turn and came out in a fantastic third place Gajser pushed hard in the first few laps and and moved into second place on lap three and despite challenging hard for the lead after 18 laps of frantic racing the Slovenian settled for second place Tim’s team-mate Mitch Evans had a tough moto one The Australian started in 11th place and set-about a charge up to seventh by lap four Towards the end of the race arm-pump set in dropping Evans down to 12th at the finish Team Honda 114 Motorsport’s Rubén Fernández had a relatively uneventful first race starting in seventh place and moving into sixth on lap two where he remained for the remainder of the moto.  As the temperature still soared the gate dropped for MXGP race two and this time Tim Gajser rounded lap one down in seventh place The tight a technical circuit proved a hard challenge to make early passes and although Tim moved up one place during the race He finished the day just one point away from a podium finish.  Mitch Evans improved on his race one result crossing the line in eighth place for 11th overall and Rubén Fernández finished race two in seventh giving the Spaniard seventh overall The MX2 class also witnessed some Honda action at the front of the pack with Shiptocycle Honda SR Motoblouz’s Stephen Rubini pushing very hard from eighth place on lap one race one and working his way up to a fantastic second place on lap seven By the mid-race point Rubini dropped one position into third where he finished a tough and tiring race Stephen Rubini had to once again battle hard in MX2 race two The Frenchman was tagged by another rider on the start straight and rounded the first turn in last position He set about a charge back and managed to secure seventh place on lap nine but small mistakes and fatigue took their toll Rubini crossed the finish line in ninth place just missing out on a podium position by two points.  Round 10 of the MXGP Championship is set for Ernée Celebrating five decades of elite motocross heritage Honda today unveiled a Open from 12 noon - 3.30pm and again from 3.30pm to 7pm, it is best to book through the website to ensure you gain entry With views of the Guadalete valley and the village it is adapted for people with reduced mobility and offers sun loungers and a bar where you can have a drink Although it is not a pool per se like the previous two that were made for bathing in fifth place we find this large lagoon known for being an ideal place for bird-watching in the pine forest called Pinar de la Algaida next to the agricultural colony of Monte Algaida (Sanlúcar de Barrameda) there is a great variety of birds that can be observed here making it an ideal habitat for the birdlife from the nearby Doñana protected nature area Another of the public swimming pools that can be enjoyed with a heavenly landscape is the one in Villaluenga del Rosario It also has a bar that offers a wide range of options for food and drink there are beautiful views of the Sierra de Grazalema we are fortunate to have one of the most beautiful treasures in Cadiz province: the natural pools amid the rocks of Bolonia They are located at the eastern end of the popular beach This is a beautiful cove in the municipality of Tarifa with rocks emerging from the water forming rows of crystal clear pools You can reach them via a path that runs along the coast amid pine trees heading in the opposite direction to the main part of Bolonia beach The most incredible thing about these pools is that they have therapeutic possibilities as the fusion of the natural saltwater with the slate rock forms a mud that helps soothe and moisturise the skin Italian Ferruccio Zanchi won’t be making the trip to the island after suffering a crash in Croatia during the week who was looking forward to riding on home soil and had made a very impressive start to his full-time MX2 career with Team HRC but the decision was made that it would be better to sit this one out and not cause any further problems Zanchi currently sits 13rd in the standings after an impressive 6th in the season opener in Argentina and then a 14th in Spain «I was feeling really good coming into this weekend but I had a crash while training with Tim in Croatia and landed pretty hard on the ground I’ve had some checks and we decided as a team that it would be better for me to rest up and miss this weekend because it is such a physically demanding track I definitely didn’t want to do any more damage and miss future rounds so hopefully just giving it a few extra days of recovery will allow me to be ready for Trentino the following weekend.» Roan van de Moosdijk will be making his MXGP debut with HRC after taking the injured Ruben Fernandez spot I’ve felt more comfortable so I just want to keep improving and getting to a place where I can put in three solid races over the weekend Thankfully I grew up riding the sand so I know this type of track well but of course I’ll be making my MXGP debut so it won’t be easy mixing it up with the best motocross riders in the world but obviously I’m hoping to repay the faith of Team HRC as quickly as possible.« Skip to ContentEnergy Drinks All Red Bull Energy Drinks Discover Simon Längenfelder is determined to realise his dream of becoming a world champion.Date of birth Simon Längenfelder was on a motocross bike for the first time The fascination with racing has not diminished since on the contrary: “I really enjoy racing,” says Simon “You can show your true self and fight for positions with your competitors.” “My biggest goal is to become world champion,” he adds Simon doesn't shy away from anything and is ready to give everything or as he says: “I go all out for speed and style.” He even moved to Cologne so he could train with his team every day It was quite a surprise when yesterday we learned that Maxime Renaux was selected to represent France in the 2024 Motocross of Nations of course (after all he won last year’s MXoN) but for the fact he hasn´t raced in over four months due to an ankle injury that sidelined him since the MXGP of Spain back in March Now the Yamaha rider confirmed via social media his return this weekend at the MXGP of Switzerland It will be interesting to see where is Renaux in terms of speed as he tried to getting shape as soon as possible before the Motocross of Nations on October 5 & 6 Renaux won the MXGP of Switzerland last year but the 2022 MXGP of Spain did not go the way the home fans wanted - Yamaha Racing/ShotbyBavo Round nine of the MXGP World Championship took the 2022 season to Spain and the intu-Xanadu Arroyomolinos circuit in Madrid Jorge Prado must have arrived in Madrid expecting to be on the podium at the very least He was able to finish second overall to the dominant Calvin Vlaanderen in Sardegna in his first race back after dislocating his shoulder and has generally done well in front of his home fans winning in Arroyomolinos at the first edition of the race in 2020 He might have fought for the win were it not for a mistake that sent him wide in the first turn after the finish he lost second place in the first race to Tim Gajser he may have been able to pressure race one winner Maxime Renaux.  Prado then led the early stages of the second moto where the Spanish fans have numerous riders to cheer for in MXGP they choose between two: Jorge Prado and Ruben Fernandez Prado is the only one of the two to have won a World Championship so the decision for the fans is somewhat straightforward looking like he would at least be on the podium the atmosphere was even substantial through the TV.  But, after 10 minutes or so, the dream was over. Prado washed the front on the landing of a jump, and slammed the super-hard-pack dirt- well, hard. It was a tough one for the Spaniard, who hurt his legs in the crash, MX Vice’s Lewis Phillips noting that Prado was limping through the paddock after the race. In Phillips’ post-race interview with Prado the two-times MX2 World Champion was unusually deflated but also that he had thrown away the chance of a great result at home.  - Yamaha Racing Prado’s crash was great news for Maxime Renaux The Frenchman came out of that with the lead 50 points and maiden MXGP-class overall victory Renaux had been fast since he first jumped on the 450 over the winter and was able to be win at the preseason international race at Lacapelle but Gajser was able to beat him in the second race immediate response to the victory of satellite team Gebben van Venrooy’s victory in Sardegna with the aforementioned Vlaanderen while Vlaanderen backed up his maiden top class win with a 13-13 for 13th overall the feeling is that this could be a ‘floodgate’ moment for Renaux Perhaps this is too late to challenge Gajser for the title (the Slovenian still has a 66-point advantage over Renaux) but there is definitely a chance that Renaux could yet pick up more victories before the end of the season.  it is important to point out that his 2-6 for fourth was a result of a continuation of the illness that bothered him in Sardegna but was still enough to prevent him being able to get around Mattia Guadagnini for fifth in the second moto The anticipation is that Gajser will be stronger again in France this week Already two riders have taken advantage to win their first Grand Prix in the top category with the heat combining with the deep sand for a challenge like no other in the season.  The Dutchman came into this season having become the guy who is top 10 fairly regularly Bogers’ typical forte is definitely not Ernee if anyone is going to become a third-straight first-time MXGP winner in France it will be Standing Construct Husqvarna’s #189 He comes to his home GP off the back of his maiden win in Spain and as France’s top MXGP rider at the moment in the absence of Romain Febvre But Renaux has never raced a GP at the undulating French track and in Portugal we saw him relatively struggle in a circuit which he had not raced at the World Championship level the door is thrown open for the likes of Bogers we will return to the pre-Sardegna norm of a dominant Gajser 1-1 exclusives and promotions direct to your inbox For more information, read our Privacy Policy © Crash Media Group Ltd 2025.The total or partial reproduction The 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship has jumped into life with a fascinating trio of events across two continents and three countries 17 events remain on the calendar and there is no telling how the two title battles will develop – Jorge Prado is making a case for the fact that MXGP is all but over Turn attention to the hidden corners of the paddock and one will observe critical conversations about the rider market for 2025’s FIM Motocross World Championship It is rare for these discussions to happen as early as April but the ‘battle’ for signatures will be more pivotal than prior seasons The introduction of Triumph and Ducati to the MXGP division means that there will be more elite seats than there are stars the reigning world champion and face of Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing moving onto pastures new in the United States adds to this because there is no clear replacement for him There are countless rumors about Prado’s future and most point to Monster Energy Kawasaki No matter whether that comes to fruition or not it seems certain that he will exit Grands Prix and attempt to bolster his long list of achievements in a new environment Jeffrey Herlings is off the table for MXGP teams as his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing contract runs through the conclusion of 2025 then both Maxime Renaux and Jago Geerts have similar commitments at Yamaha The Team HRC duo appear to be quite set as well although the manufacturer is distant when it comes to a conversation about contract durations The rest of the paddock appears to be rather flexible and Ducati has started conversations with some elite riders Romain Febvre is a significant target for both has history with ‘3’ and so it was natural that they would fixate on the former world champion Rumors suggest that some progress was made with that deal at the Grand Prix of Spain which would leave Ducati searching for their title contender Ducati has identified their intention to enter the premier division with a podium contender and then a consistent top ten force in the second seat If the rumored movements of Prado and Febvre evolve GASGAS and Kawasaki would need to secure their lead riders too There are just not enough riders with the potential to win Grands Prix and so it is realistic that there could factory efforts that must accept their fate of battling in the depths of the top ten as it should lead to more substantial bids for the elite riders Riders like Pauls Jonass and Calvin Vlaanderen have a superb opportunity to surge forwards as the leading rider beneath a factory tent but it does feel like 2025 could be a transition year of sorts This ‘boom’ has almost come a season too soon Teams could bet on MX2 starlets like Kay de Wolf and Andrea Adamo in 2026 but it is much too early to consider either of those riders for a prominent role on a 450F squad as both riders are under contract for 2025 It feels like the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship will be a time to understand the new diameters and take stock of how to approach talents in MXGP Gone are the days when riders would clamor for one or two of the prominent seats – options are in existence now the health of Grands Prix will benefit the entire ecosystem.
