and that Spain will continue to be one of the main economies generating employment and economic growth in Europe and in the world
In a context as difficult as the one Europe is going through
"and with the rumblings of trade wars"

Yet even as Europe is buffeted by change — the clamor for Chinese biotech or, more recently, the rush to appease US President Donald Trump — one country is showing there could still be a way to build up a pharmaceutical industry: by giving companies what they want.

Text description provided by the architects. Lolita is not just another roadside restaurant off a busy interstate - a rare species within the prestigious restaurant world. With the focus on versatile design, Langarita Navarro Arquitectos thoughtfully created a flexible space capable of setting itself up as a scenario for almost any type of activity.

© Miguel de GuzmánThe project is configured as a cumulative space of experiences that, by linking two autonomous and differentiated systems, explores the compatibility of the open-plan model with one of specific and designated spaces.
© Miguel de GuzmánThe rigid system is a build-up of specialised boxes made from 8-metre-long alveolar panels and brick walls that house specific and to some extent ritualised programmes
In the interior the spaces are customised by combining the criteria of the programme with elements taken from popular culture
The system is connected with the surroundings through well-chosen and fragmented vistas
generating a hermetic image that allows the large blind surfaces to be used as a support for road signage

I have always beenan avid reader of everything and especially history books
I believe I was 12 when I read Le Corbusier’s and Frank Lloyd Wright’s biographies

What is your advice to aspiring female architects
Be the best architect you can be; keep cool; laugh before crying
What is the biggest challenge facing women in architecture today
It is difficult to make a general overview
Women should do their job and make it visible to others
Society needs to assure women the professional space that has been theoretically conquered
Professionals do not work alone: this is a harmful myth
There is always a team and this works the same for women and for men
What do you think is the best defence against sexism
I don’t believe in a war against sexism based on attacks and defensive reactions
homophobia are consequences of ignorance and lack of cultural diversity
political interest groups and society in general have a responsibility to tackle this
Everyone needs to be enrolled in this matter
