The emblematic modernist kiosk of Font d’en Fargas has reopened its doors in the district of Horta-Guinardó
After a careful restoration that has respected its original image

The reopening of the kiosk marks the end of a recovery process that has also included the old water bottling plant
The total investment has been nearly 3 million euros
aimed at restoring this corner to its former splendor and adapting it to today’s needs
now managed by the cooperative Granel SCCL
offers a terrace with 10 tables where you can enjoy a drink in a unique environment
this cooperative will be in charge of managing the public toilets in the modernist enclosure
thus improving the services available to the public
Opening hours have been adapted to offer the best service according to the season
the site will be open from 10:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekends
the hours are extended: from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends and holidays
but a project has also been carried out to improve the accessibility of the surrounding gardens
this space offers a greener and more modern environment
inviting to stroll and enjoy an oasis in the middle of the city
The recovery of this emblematic site allows neighbors and visitors to once again enjoy a piece of Barcelona’ s historical memory
The modernist elements of the kiosk and the old bottling plant have been restored with the utmost respect for their original appearance and materials
but with new uses that integrate them into the current life of the neighborhood
have also undergone a careful restoration process
Components such as the fountain and the bench have been enhanced
and the rock that forms the grotto and the adjacent stone walls have been consolidated
All this contributes to enhance the natural and architectural beauty of the site
The transformation of the Font d’en Fargas not only focuses on heritage restoration

with data on the social and labour precariousness that affects women and reflect an alarming reality in the city

The Piad de Sant Martí also has a varied offer of activities for this fall

the talk “Pleasure and enjoyment beyond menopause” will take place at Casal Font d’en Fargues
The intention is to talk about how women can continue to enjoy their bodies after menopause
there will be a talk on “Impacts of patriarchy on mental health throughout history”
the activities will focus on the power of the body and laughter as wellness tools
The activity is open to women of all ages and physical conditions
at the Casal de Personas Mayores Penitents
a laughter therapy session will be offered for women over 55 years old
PIAD Sants-Montjuïc also has interesting proposals
such as the talk “Witches: the alchemy of women”
October 8 from 18:00 to 19:30 h at the Civic Center Font de la Guatlla
will be offered the pill “The biopsychophysical self-care”
which addresses the overall welfare of women
