Each project and asset is legally independent and has its own managers
is an asymmetric suspension bridge with a span of 102 m between supports
The main span is suspended from a tower by 9 pairs of cables located on the median
This tower is formed by two large sails or inclined triangular cells with a metal section that reaching its apex at 39 m above ground
The anchoring triangle is inserted at the highest point of the triangular cells
and it is formed by two large parallel plates
from where the frontal cables fork off like a fan
the compressed front tips are differentiated from the the rigid back retaining straps that anchor the tower to the counterweight on the inside of the abuttment
Horizontal elements—or braces— link both elements and close the triangles in their inclined plane
The wires are put in a polyethylene sheath or with forked terminals
with a total width of 20 m (plus twospring lines
separated by a pedestrian median 5,80 m wide
formed by a closed metallic box 8.30 m wide and a span of at most 1.50 m
The span decreases as it moves from the center to the sides
serving as the two anchor point centers for the suspension cables
To complete the deck’s span, there are steel ribs along the side measuring 5.80 m long
with spans that vary circularly from 1 m at the box girder to 0.2 m at the ends
while the inferior wing varies in width from 70 to 30 cm
there are stiffener frames on the box every 3 m and bulkheads every 9 m
The rhythm of these stiffeners for the box are from 2 to 1
The transverse section of the deck is completed by an upper slap of reinforced concrete 22 cm in span
The building process consisted of launching the metallic sections of the deck with powerful cranes
allowing them to rest on the temporary towers that were withdrawn once suspension began
This allowed the construction of the structure without interfering with traffic on the A-6 or its service roads
the door opens and Saul Niguez bursts into the room
There's just enough space to slip quietly past
out towards the training pitch and up to the players' residence for lunch
He's been listening in from a small office covered with hundreds of old portraits of footballers at the Spanish national team's Las Rozas HQ
Rodrigo Hernandez -- who was halfway through saying something about football players being humans too when his former Atletico Madrid teammate interrupted -- says softly: "Well
playing just down the road at Rayo Majadahonda before joining Atletico at the age of 11
He has no English family and had never lived in England until this summer
when he became the most expensive player in Manchester City's history
does feel as if it says something about him
it's probably the thing that comes through most clearly as he talks; only twice does he check a word
When the tape rolls and the transcript is written up an hour or so later
"learn" appears over a dozen times: way more than any other word
apart from "play" (and things like "the," "and" or "at" of course)
he was more interested in understanding football than enjoying it
coaches recall having tactical discussions with Rodri in a way they didn't with anyone else
He didn't just watch players; he studied them
The way he plays reflects that; in his position
even if the cerebral doesn't negate the need for the physical
Rodri studied business at university and lived in a students' residence
When he left to return to Atletico for €25m
it didn't seem to make a huge amount of sense
He wasn't a great fit for the club stylistically
that was precisely why he went: he wanted to learn from a manager who would teach the things he didn't have
Someone who would show him something different
He wanted to play in a team that would challenge him
ready to play in a team seemingly made for him -- he was hailed as the footballer Man City's manager most needed (and for whom he paid £62.8m) -- but a place where
Rodri's been indispensable to Man City's midfield so far
but he acknowledges how much work he still has to do and how much he still has to learn about the beautiful game. Tom Flathers/Manchester City FC via Getty ImagesESPN: Manchester City paid your €70m (£62.8m
You did business studies: was €70m for you good business
I have a lot of things to learn: I am only 23
The only thing I can say is that I will give everything to my team
I am always a guy that wants to improve all the time
and I think I have a long career [ahead of me]
The good thing is that I have a lot to learn and I am in a great place
with a great coach and great parents to become a player
Paris Saint-Germain's most expensive signing ever is Neymar; at Atletico it's Joao Felix; at Barcelona it's Ousmane Dembele; at Real Madrid
but it's a big pleasure to be compared with these players
my position is very important and all the great teams have a great player there: clubs are looking for that kind of player
I look back on my first matches and I think
I have a lot of space to cover here.' I have to be aware of other players going up the pitch
You're the first to step in to steal the ball so that the team can keep attacking
one of the most important positions in the team
the other team is pushed backwards and you're attacking all the time
It's important to control what's going to happen after the attack [breaks down]
controlling and ready for what happens when you have to defend
Is yours the most difficult job in the team
I think it's a big challenge for me because I never used to play this particular position
We have lots of offensive players and many other teams try to counter-attack you and a lot of the time you're alone [in midfield]
And for the team it's good because we need those offensive players to be able to play our game
If anyone knows how important your role is
Your position is the same one Guardiola played
You're learning from someone who changed that role
who made it his own and made it about thinking
very little; I was born when he was finish[ing]
but now in the midfield position in modern football
you have to be able to play all types of pass: long pass
So I think you need to be very complete as a player because the way we play
you're always going to be the man who decides [the move] with the ball because the players you have in front of you always have players on top of them
Rodri has featured in every Premier League game so far this season for Man City. GLYN KIRK/AFP/Getty ImagesIn your last season at Villarreal
you were the player who made the most passes in La Liga
you were the player who made the most tackles in La Liga
because I understand that in my position you need to be the best at both sides of the game
but great players are the ones that can do both things well
you have to do both,' and so I started learning that
I realised that in my position you had to do that
I think I am good at that; I am like a big sponge
Guardiola and Simeone give you very different things
I think they're very similar in the way that they always want to win
not even for one second: they're always putting pressure on
but that's the good thing about football: there are so many ways of looking at the game
What about the difference between England and Spain
You never know what the difference will be
I needed the first few weeks to adapt; I realised that you don't have a second to think
The way the referees [officiate] is a bit different
they're the best two leagues in the world and I need to adapt
The play is more physical in that sense; it's more box-to-box
but I thought it was the right moment to take this challenge and I am really happy that I took that decision
City's season hasn't started as well as we might have expected: you've lost twice in the league already
I won my first title as soon as I arrived [Community Shield]
I think people have to be aware that there is a lot happening: we have had a lot of players out
it is difficult because we play every three days in three competitions and we are playing with more or less the same players
We have to realise that we are doing things wrong
We have to be calm: it's the start of the season
we have recognised that we have had our problems
in football there are many things you can't control
We hope we can get important players [back from injury] and when they do
Rodri and Guardiola play the same basic position
but Man City's newest star admits he's still getting to grips with the nuances of that role in the modern game. Robbie Jay Barratt - AMA/Getty ImagesYou mention things you can't control
which of course includes the results that Liverpool are getting
Liverpool is eight [wins] from eight [games]
so we have to do everything we can do for [if] that [happens to Liverpool]
I had never been in the city before; I don't know how people in the city feel
and that has been seen the last two seasons
and [by results] they're the best team in England and in Europe

Indoor climbing is gaining more and more followers and climbing walls are already numerous in the capital
Most climbing walls have both types of indoor climbing: bouldering or Bloc
a type of climbing without insurance on walls less than 5 meters and high intensity mats on the ground
with higher walls and relevant anchors for ascending with the quickdraw or rope
There are many reasons for the success of this discipline
The Mountaineering Federation of Madrid explains it to us: “From purely sporting as the discovery of a fascinating sport of strength and coordination that in many cases is replacing conventional fitness gyms
from the gold medal for Spain in the Tokyo Olympics by Alberto Ginés as for the own sporting plasticity of this sport”
Sputnik Climbing already has two centers in the community of Madrid
one in Alcobendas and the other in Las Rozas
the most recent and with 4000 climbing meters and 20 meters high
has become one of the largest climbing walls in Madrid
It has a Zone of up to 160 routes for rope climbing
it has 45 self-belay points that allow you to climb without having to have a partner and with the guarantee of being able to climb at your leisure without any danger
This climbing wall in Madrid is also among the largest in Spain
with its 4,000 square meters of climbable space with heights of up to 19 meters
There are approximately 150 Blocs and 160 routes to conquer
plus a 30-meter wide bouldering wall
You can also test your endurance and speed on the Kilter board
and two speed routes approved by the IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing).
The climbing wall has a gym-school for children and adults
a children’s area and a bar overlooking the climbing wall to refresh yourself when you finish climbing tothe top
Climbat X-Madrid is another reference within the climbing walls of Madrid
With a total of 1,966 square meters that house all kinds of activities for audiences of different levels and of course climbing walls of all grades
climbing fans will find new challenges thanks to the room they inaugurated in 2021 with a 47-meter high linear wall that replicates the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
an overhanging cave or a section of routes with up to 19 meetings
taking advantage of the momentum that the Olympics have given to the sport
Roc30 is located at Madrid Río and it is a center managed by the Mountaineering Federation of Madrid through the High Mountain School
It has 350 square meters of climbing surface and 17 climbing routes
It also has a four-meter high Zone for bouldering and equipment for weight training and power enhancement
you can buy both equipment and books to learn more about the discipline
A post shared by Urban Monkey Rocódromo (@urbanmonkeyoficial)
At Urban Monkey they are committed to personalization with targeted training for both their indoor and mountain climbing walls
They have a 700 square meter facility spread over two floors with 450 scalable and have Moon board and System Board
prepare events and climbing baptisms of an hour and a half
Indoorwall has two centers in the Community of Madrid
In addition to having developed its own training method
coach of the Spanish national climbing team
it has the largest children’s climbing Zone in the world
Of the many very obvious benefits of climbing it has some indirect ones that help make it a booming sport
As Sputnik explains: “It’s fun
it has very positive effects on mental health
and you also get strong without even realizing it.” It lacks nothing

The aim of this Mariapolis has been to strengthen the links between the different peoples of Europe, starting from the citizens and civil society, in order to make a real contribution to the fraternity of the continent and to peace.
“Look how they love each other…”, is the expression that best reflects the experience of these days, as is said of the first Christian communities,” commented a young man from Oviedo, recently ordained deacon. And then he added: “I have been convinced, through concrete, everyday events, that this has nothing to do with the running of a company, but with the life of a family”.
The video of Dr M. A. Shomali, Director and founder of the International Institute of Islamic Studies in Qom (Iran), summed up the meeting as having been a multi-coloured mosaic that filled all those present with hope: “Each one of us is like a tile, which together with others builds universal peace. May God be with you!”
A unique gathering where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to experience community, unity, and joy. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details about this event.
“Nothing can divide us if we are connected to God.” A video message from Dr Mohammad Shomali after the Mariapolis.
Celebrating being ‘all together’ again – Helen Copeland reports on a recent summer gathering, the Focolare Mariapolis.
they still have one of the strongest squads in the tournament
Group B is an interesting mix with two clear favourites, although Morocco or Iran could spring a surprise. Therefore, no game is likely to be easy in this group especially if one of these teams loses this opening match. La Roja’s preparation has been sidetracked by the sacking of manager Julen Lopetegui after he decided to take the Real Madrid job
Portugal come into this tournament as Euro 2016 winners
so they will be aiming to build on that achievement
Fernando Santos has built a system which can grind out matches due to a strong midfield and experienced defence
They also have numerous attacking threats such as Cristiano Ronaldo
There are a few areas of this squad up for contention
but the majority have already been decided
4-3-3 should be the main formation for the tournament because the team is most used to this
Fernando Hierro is likely to be more conservative than Lopetegui
so he’s unlikely to deviate too much from pre-tournament preparations
The right-back position is the only area that could be differ in defence. Dani Carvajal will miss this game because he hasn’t fully recovered from his injury. Therefore, the competition is between Nacho and Alvaro Odriozola, with the the Real Sociedad man likely to lose out due to his positional indiscipline against Tunisia. It was an odd choice to choose him over Sergi Roberto
although rotation between the two could be common over the tournament
This is a really strong midfield three which should be able to dictate the game
Iniesta is unlikely to last the full 90 minutes
but there are plenty of options off the bench
Isco could drop into his role with Marco Asensio coming on to add more directness to their play
Next: Antoine Griezmann reveals his decision
but Lucas Vazquez may come on in the second half to stretch the opposition horizontally because of the lack of width on that side without Carvajal
Rodrigo and Diego Costa all have a realistic chance of starting
Costa is risky due to his temperament and Aspas is the best in linking up in the final third
This will be key against a well-organised Portugal side because they need someone who can work well in tight spaces and create their own openings

Egyptians branded him “Ramos the Dog” and now Chinese football fans have dubbed Sergio Ramos “a butcher” and “master of karate” for his roughhouse treatment of Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final
The 32-year-old central defender and captain of Real Madrid previously had more fetching nicknames in Chinese
including a popular one that translates as “Water Lord”
Ten days after Real’s Champions League victory over Liverpool
when Ramos was accused of intentionally injuring Egyptian talisman Salah
Chinese media and social media continue to debate his intervention in Kiev
reflecting the intense interest in top-level European football in the country
One social media user derided Ramos as “head of the Madrid Martial Arts team”
Another said: “This brother is a master of Chinese kung fu
“At the World Cup a few players are going to be attacked by his venomous hands,” agreed another on Weibo
Ramos’s controversial clash with Salah saw the Real player drag the forward to the ground
injuring his shoulder and ending his Champions League dreams in tears
thanks largely to Liverpool’s blundering goalkeeper Loris Karius—who Ramos was also accused of injuring
plenty in the country are standing up for Ramos
who will captain Spain at this month’s World Cup in Russia
Ramos is outstanding!” said one fan on Weibo
Another agreed: “Ramos is a hero.” — AFP

65% of Spanish households have a DIA store less than a fifteen-minute walk away
As part of European Mobility Week (16-22 September)
the company is promoting responsible travel to its supermarkets
DIA reminds its customers that walking or riding a bike avoids atmospheric pollution from transport
DIA has wanted to highlight the contribution neighbourhood supermarkets make to sustainable mobility
Thanks to the extensive coverage of its store network in Spain
65% of households are less than a fifteen-minute walk from one of its stores
meaning over 30 million people in Spain can walk or ride their bike to their closest DIA supermarket to shop for food and hygiene products without causing atmospheric pollution from travel
Transport is to blame for a large part of greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union and contributes significantly to climate change
Mitigating its adverse effects is a key political objective aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11 (Sustainable cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action)
Neighbourhood supermarkets help reduce the impacts of people travelling to do their shopping
according to figures published by Institut Cerdà in a study entitled Supermarkets and local retail and sustainable mobility
neighbourhood supermarkets cut CO2 emissions by 82% as well as other air pollutants (NOx (72%)
To be closer to society and the world around it every day
DIA therefore wants to play its part in promoting sustainable mobility by encouraging customers to do their errands on foot
which is doubly beneficial for their health and the environment as it reduces air and noise pollution
has the highest income and the lowest unemployment in the country
according to a new report published by the National Institute of Statistics which shows a clear division between living conditions in the north and south of Spain
the average annual income was 26,367 euros in 2019
way above that of Boadilla del Monte (Madrid) at 21,976 euros and Sant Cugat del Valles (Barcelona)
the average income in Pozuelo de Alarcón did drop by nearly 2,000 euros a year compared with the previous year
unlike the other two towns where it increased slightly
two are in Barcelona province and two in the Basque Country
In all of these the net average income is above 18,000 euros per inhabitant
considerably higher than the national average
The statistics refer to towns with more than 20,000 inhabitants
and at the other end of the scale are Níjar (Almeria)
These are all in the same place as last year
The other towns at the bottom of the list are Barbate (Cadiz)
Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cadiz) and Torrevieja (Alicante)
Unemployment figures for Spain in 2021 show that the lowest levels were in Pozuelo de Alarcón (6.2%)
Majadahonda (7.4%) and Donostia/San Sebastián (7.8%)
The highest unemployment was found to be in Linares (30.9%)
