recommendations regarding COVID-19 the first Women’s World Championship to feature 32 teams Five years after their first Olympic Games appearance the Argentina women’s national team aim to earn their second ticket for the competition Sustainable growth and building on the current core have been the main issues for coach Eduardo Gallardo The first Olympic appearance did not yield any wins for the Argentinian side but as their young players are coming of age the South American team want to emulate the new-found success the men’s team have gathered in the last years The Argentinian side qualified for the Tokyo Handball Qualification 2020 in Spain after their second-place finish at the Pan American Games in 2019 Yet with a plethora of players currently at European clubs the last few months have been tough for Gallardo’s quest to make the team gel and improve the chemistry Since the IHF Women’s World Championship in Japan in December 2019 the team have been able to train together only twice due to the current health situation and restrictions put in place caused by the COVID-19 pandemic despite the great challenge in March when the South American side will face Spain doubling our training sessions and taking advantage of every moment spent together because we could not train together during the year,” said right back Luciana Mendoza to the Confederación Argentina de Handball (CAH) website The Argentinian side have been a constant presence at the IHF Women’s World Championship taking part in each of the last nine tournaments with Japan 2019 being their most successful yet Eduardo Gallardo’s side had both the best finish while also scoring the most goals on average in the world’s handball flagship event once again relying on experienced backs that accrued experience in European domestic leagues who was the 11th top scorer at Japan 2019 with 46 goals one of the most experienced faces in the squad “We are going in this qualifying tournament strong We had some great feelings after the IHF Women’s World Championship in Japan but this break meant that we could mend some things and do others better,” said Carrasu to the CAH website Argentina could likely play a decisive game for their Olympic Games berth against the hosts in Lliria An Olympic Games berth would mean the world for the Argentinian national side the South American team did not win a single game against European opposition History would have to be re-written by Gallardo’s side if they want to proceed to the Olympic Games in Tokyo You are using an outdated browser. 27/28 placement match Tunisia have lost 11 of their last 12 games at the IHF Women’s World Championship and will need at least a draw to finish second A four-day rest will also work in the African team’s favour when Paraguay faced Slovakia and conceded a 27:33 loss despite giving the European side serious competition for the first 45 minutes of the match “We will work harder and harder to reach the level of other teams because this is the way we can get even better,” said Paraguay’s coach Nery Vera The South American side have had mixed results against African teams in the competition 12:37 Championship In three editions at the world handball flagship competition and the South American side can tie their record two-win tally in an edition provided they secure a positive result against Tunisia centre back Maria Fernandez and right wing Fatima Acuna (20 goals each) will once again be indispensable for Paraguay as they have combined for 62 of their team’s 109 goals or 56.8% of Paraguay’s goals at Spain 2021 Tunisia will need to improve their defence as they have conceded at least 31 goals in each of their four games at Spain 2021 a feature that was also underlined by coach Moaz Ben Amor The team that finish second will play in the 27/28 placement match facing the second-placed team from Group I while the third-placed side will feature in the 29/30 placement match A court in Valencia has sentenced a married couple owners of a bar located in the town of Pedralba to three years in prison for fraud and ordered them to pay compensation of more than eleven million euros to a customer who they convinced to share the prize she had won in the country's Father's Day lottery draw after assuring her that there was no way of knowing which of the three tickets they kept in the bar were hers to which SUR's sister newspaper ABC has had exclusive access describes the strategy "schemed" by both convicted "with the intention of obtaining a patrimonial benefit" from the money of the tenth of the number 39,813 which won 15 million euros per fraction and series there were two others that had won 130,000 euros each so they persuaded the beneficiaries to divide the sum of all of them into four parts The judge decreed that of the 11.15 million euros in compensation 7.4 million euros will go to the complainant and 1.8 million euros to each of her two children these amounts will also be "jointly and severally" liable with those directly responsible as "participants for profit" among the rest of the beneficiaries of the prize distribution between six people who did not commit the crime but benefited unknowingly the complainant played the lottery every week individually with the same number without the participation of third parties except for her children with whom she intended to share in any prizes she might win She would buy 10,123 and 12,396 plus an additional random number a number that was also purchased weekly by the bar owner with a friend and who in both cases entrusted the tickets to the owner for safekeeping in different cabinets kept in the bar It was on 12 March when the complainant and resident of the town of Pedralba bought the lottery ticket in the bar knowing that she would not be able to go to the town the following week she gave it to the bar owner for safekeeping something she did on a weekly basis with the regular customers the accused kept the folder with the tickets both the one belonging to the victim and the other two the day that the father's day lottery was drawn Once she was aware that the number she had "with the intention of obtaining a patrimonial benefit and in execution of a preconceived plan devised with her husband," she contacted the real winner to inform her that the ticket had won and asked her to go to the premises the owners closed it by putting the leg of a table in the door so that no one could enter It was then that they showed her the three winning tickets that they "had intentionally grouped together" and "despite being aware that the winning ticket was hers" they told her that "they could not know who the owner of the special prize was" and that "if she wanted to collect the prize she would have to share it with the other three people who played the number" "nervous about the news and unaware of any further details" the bar managers contacted the other two people who who were also unaware of any further details and whom she informed separately that "they had all agreed to share the prize equally" The accused then went to a notary located in the town of Lliria to formalise a statement of declarations in which the distribution of the prize was recorded as "she had been led to believe that she did not know which tenth was the winner" As a result of this plan drawn up by the convicted parties the victim and her children suffered a "significant financial loss" as they were entitled to the full amount of the prize when they only received a quarter of that amount the magistrate sentenced the owners of the bar the perpetrators of a crime of fraud under articles 248 An appeal may be lodged against this decision before Valencia's High Court of Justice to be presented within ten days of its notification The injured parties filed the complaint on 28 November 2017 as the start of a procedure that has lasted six years and almost six months which they consider to have been "notably disproportionate" in relation to the "low complexity" of the case Comentar es una ventaja exclusiva para registrados Toma Uno is conformed as an audiovisual Mus Minister of Infrastructure: they say that their passage is every 10 or 20 minutes and even a maximum of three trains per hour Published: Invalid Date, A PLACE in the Sun host Ben Hillman was forced to reprimand a couple as they dubbed a property he was showing them as "soulless". In the episode, Michael and Helen were taken around five villas in Llíria in Valencia, Spain, as they tried to find their dream retirement property. While the couple struggled to find anything they liked within their £125,000 budget, Ben had to remind them not to be "rude". Before they'd even stepped into the first property, the Michael and Helen were quick to voice their disappointment. The home based in Vilamarxant, which has an average property price of £140,000, was within budget at £120,000. Right away looking from the outside, Helen remarked that the property "looked a bit small" for her liking. "Well, that's not the reaction I was hoping for!" Ben added in shock, pointing out the home had a large garden for growing vegetables. The land also sported fruit trees, a "cracking" swimming pool and was all within a picturesque location in the countryside. Helen was unsure and explained she wasn't keen to go inside, to which Ben reminded her: "It would be rude not to have a look". Inside, the house had tiled floor throughout, a fireplace in the living room and spacious bedrooms to accommodate guests. Michael wasn't keen and said: "I'm I'm trying to envision our furniture in here and I just can't. There's no soul to it." The couple also criticised the lack of a hallway in the property, adding: "It feels a bit weird coming off one room." With Ben tempting them into the kitchen, the pair agreed it was a nice space but not enough to sway them. Taking Helen and Michael around another four properties only one caught their eye but it was above their budget price They decided not to make an offer and returned to the UK to reconsider their options about raising their budget Our journalists strive for accuracy but on occasion we make mistakes.
