The Medieval Market of the Order of Santiago de Paracuellos de Jarama celebrates a new edition this weekend
transforming the streets of this Madrid municipality from March 14 to 16 in an authentic living scenario of the twelfth century
neighbors and visitors from other corners of the region will find a display of more than 90 craft stalls in the Plaza de la Constitución and its surroundings
Among sausages, pickles, honeys, liquors, food and taverns, strollers can also enjoy period performances, exhibitions of ancient crafts, children’s workshops, face painting and board games

but the acrid smell and smoke wafting across the Private Cannabis Club in the Madrid dormitory town of Paracuellos de Jarama are proof that it lives up to its name
"This is the one place we can smoke in peace," said a punter at the bar

The Private Cannabis Club, with its palmate green leaves stencilled on the walls and the club's name etched on to smoked windowpanes, is at the vanguard of a new movement of pro-cannabis campaigners in Spain

It is the most sophisticated of up to 40 cannabis clubs that have sprung up in garages and back rooms around Spain since campaigners worked out that laws making it illegal to consume in public did not apply to private

They can even take some away as long as they sign for it and the cannabis is for personal consumption

"They have told them to return it on the basis that there is no threat to public health."
Zamora stressed that the club's suppliers did not belong to the drugs underworld: "We don't go to the black market to buy
We know farmers who cultivate cannabis and can provide us."

después de que un directivo del equipo lo descubriera en su barrio
No tardó el joven futbolista en llamar la atención de todos gracias a su inusitada capacidad para el regate y a su inteligencia en el juego
Contribuyó a convertir al equipo en uno de los más grandes del país
al conquistar sus tres primeros campeonatos regionales (1921,1925 y 1928) y dos finales de la Copa del Rey
Su inmensa calidad y una grave crisis institucional del equipo atlético le valieron a Triana para fichar por el Real Madrid en 1928
En el club blanco estuvo cuatro temporadas
en las que consiguió una Liga de España (la primera en la historia del club blanco) y dos finales de la Copa del Rey
fue su juego lo que quedó para el recuerdo
Quienes lo vieron jugar aseguran que era como Raymond Kopa
Y Santiago Bernabéu llegó a decir que "quien se quiera divertir
cuyo fútbol alegre enamoró a todo el Real Madrid

no pudo ser y el cerco se estabilizó toda la guerra
El seis de noviembre se hizo la primera gran saca
y entre el 6 y el 8 la cárcel quedó semivacía ¡y había allí más de cinco mil presos!"
Apenas hora y media después fueron fusilados en Paracuellos
Los hermanos de Monchín no corrieron mejor suerte: fueron trasladados a la Cárcel de Porlier
pasando a formar parte también de la masacre de Paracuellos
De nada sirvió que Monchín fuera uno de los mejores futbolistas de aquellos años
De nada que fuera un ídolo para el Real Madrid y para el Atlético y
fue fusilado por ser monárquico y católico
En su honor el fútbol español entregó entre 1952 y 1968 el Trofeo Monchín Triana
que premiaba la dedicación y fidelidad a unos colores
y que se llevaron futbolistas como Puchades
