Or being one of the more than 35,000 reported customers without power afterward. Or being hit by a flying porta potty. I'd strongly consider the flying porta potty. It would, if I'm being honest, probably come down to how much charge my phone had left. Nobody wants to deal with the hassle of getting damage repaired, but I'd much rather have my power on, especially with a 5-year-old. Call me a bad parent if you want, but I don’t want to have to keep him entertained in the dark with flashlights, candles, and stupid board games. No, thanks. I'll take my chances with the flying porta potty. her entrance to the film is stepping out of the sea in a bikini and then greeting a man whose jaw is to the floor Parthenope is propositioned by men and women Even her brother barely hides his lust for her Parthenope is also the smartest person in the room at all times late-night conversations with John Cheever (Gary Oldman in a bizarre cameo) and eventual career as a university professor When Sorrentino floods the frame with outlandish Parthenope has to exist within a surreal universe while grounding it with recognisable emotions Dalla Porta already finds herself getting recognised in public “It happens,” she tells me over a video call from Rome a few days before the film’s UK theatrical release “But people tend to be discrete about it.” After premiering at Cannes last year earning more than Sorrentino’s previous films and ending 2024 as the country’s second-biggest Italian feature but even the naysayers agree that Dalla Porta is a revelation which earned Sorrentino an Oscar nomination in 2022 Dalla Porta depicts the character’s evolution from 18 to 35 and more academia politics than what’s indicated by the idyllic marketing materials “It was more difficult playing Parthenope when she’s younger because she’s influenced by the people around her,” says Dalla Porta she has a more defined identity.” In preparation the actor went through a lengthy rehearsal process and was asked by Sorrentino to watch Stefania Sandrelli’s early films “He also suggested I watch Closer because Natalie Portman’s character is very sensual and delicate.” There are movies where the sexual intercourse is much more explicit The relationship between Parthenope and the male characters is more about seduction than sex Sorrentino hasn’t been known for writing women The Italian auteur has instead conjured up memorable male figures: Jep Gambardella in the Oscar-winning The Great Beauty; Jude Law’s winking cardinal in The Young Pope; Sean Penn dressed up as Robert Smith of The Cure in This Must Be the Place the image is mostly taken up by a naked woman whose bare arse is visible Parthenope is thus an entirely new chapter for Sorrentino even if it’s still populated with men gawping at women is based somewhat on the myth of Parthenope a Greek siren whose drowned body led to the birth of Naples Parthenope is born in 1950 and introduced in 1968 as an 18-year-old at the centre of an almost incestuous love triangle with her childhood friend Sandrino (Dario Aita) and her jealous brother Raimondo (Daniele Rienzo) In a chance meeting with the writer John Cheever she’s advised that her beauty opens doors – which leads to Parthenope advancing as an anthropology student and being invited to mingle with underground criminals Parthenope could also be called The Great Beauty or Youth if those titles weren’t already taken and witnesses a live sex show consisting of two unwilling teenagers from warring mafia families “I don’t think the sex scenes were provocative,” Dalla Porta counters “There are movies where the sexual intercourse is much more explicit The relationship between Parthenope and the male characters is more about seduction than sex.” In another sequence Parthenope has sex with a cardinal in a cathedral Was she affected by the backlash in Italy from some outraged Catholics the conversation around Parthenope concerns Dalla Porta’s stellar screen presence and audience’s curiosity over what she will do next She’s too superstitious to share her next possible projects but in the next few days she might have a Best Actress trophy: Parthenope is nominated in 15 categories at the David di Donatello Awards the film’s attempt to subvert the male gaze has also inevitably led to debates Where The Hand of God memorably has Filippo Scotti crying his heart out Parthenope is about a woman who frequently brings grown men to tears Both dramas are also Sorrentino’s only two features with Daria D’Antonio “Daria’s gaze was very important for me as it allowed me to work with a female perspective,” says Dalla Porta “The male gaze was very present in the movie’s period of the 60s and 70s But Parthenope’s gaze is a way of seeing the male gaze The male gaze is seen through Parthenope’s eyes.” In case you missed it, Shaquille O'Neal had to make an abrupt exit during Monday's show to use the bathroom So on Tuesday night the producers made a hilarious move by putting a Porta Potty next to his seat just in case nature called again They brought a porta potty into Studio J for Shaq 🤣😭 https://t.co/T0maoAOPf3 pic.twitter.com/aR0VYYJDJS The best studio show in sports continues to find new ways to be entertaining The content on this site is for entertainment and educational purposes only Betting and gambling content is intended for individuals 21+ and is based on individual commentators' opinions and not that of Sports Illustrated or its affiliates All picks and predictions are suggestions only and not a guarantee of success or profit If you or someone you know has a gambling problem crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER You can never have enough linebacker depth: The State College Storms are INSANE pic.twitter.com/3YpOCUXEyp Look at the way that port-o-john lined up his target (Kinkead: good pad level) He almost took out two people at once Someone get Howie on the horn immediately because we have one more UDFA for him How did this guy sneak under the radar when he was right in our backyard He should’ve gotten the #11 instead of Abdul Carter Not even Jax Ulbrich would prank call this kid out of fear What’s up with the weather in Happy Valley recently Were there always tornados and gusts of wind that were throwing porta pottys into intramural refs I feel like when I had buddies there we never heard about these biblical weather events It’s so bad it took down an entire road’s power lines and left thousands without electricity on and off campus: High winds brought down power lines in State College, PA, trapping residents in their cars. showing the almost life-size figures of a couple – a man and a woman – from a tomb in the necropolis of Porta Sarno has been discovered It came to light during an excavation as part of the research project “Investigating the Archaeology of Death in Pompeii” being carried out by the Universitat de València in conjunction with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii (scientific director: Prof have been a zone excavated during the 1990s for the construction of the double track of the Circumvesuviana railway The excavations undertaken in 1998 had already revealed the presence of over 50 cremation burials marked by stelae and a monumental funerary arch The recent explorations have brought to light a monumental tomb consisting of a large wall with various niches surmounted by relief figures of a man and a woman The symbolism of the carved accessories  of the woman may indicate that she was a priestess of Ceres The quality of the carving in the sculptures and their archaic features suggest that they date to the late Republican period “This campaign is a precious opportunity to extend research and enhance the area outside the city walls of Pompeii” “Thanks to the collaboration with the University of Valencia which also led to the discovery a few years ago of the tomb of Marcus Venerius Secundio in the same area it has been possible to work on a multi-disciplinary project  involving a range of professionals including archaeologists Further details and analysis related to the working hypotheses can be found in the article edited by  Llorenç Alapont et al, published today in the Reduce eye strain and focus on the content that matters we presented the final analysis of the study which confirmed the superiority of a combination over the TKI monotherapy in terms of both progression-free survival as well as overall survival," says Camillo Porta In this interview, Camillo Porta, MD, shares in-depth insights on results from the study, “Nivolumab plus cabozantinib (N+C) vs sunitinib (S) for previously untreated advanced renal cell carcinoma (aRCC): Final follow-up results from the CheckMate 9ER trial.” These data were presented at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology Genitourinary (ASCO GU) Cancers Symposium in San Francisco Porta is the chair of oncology at the University of Bari ‘A This transcript was AI generated and edited by human editors for clarity We know that kidney cancer heavily relies on angiogenesis but we know also that it is a very immunogenic tumor so it was almost natural to combine an immune checkpoint inhibitor with an anti-angiogenic agent The combination of nivolumab plus cabozantinib already [showed improvement in] both overall survival as well as progression-free survival in metastatic kidney cancer patients treated in a first-line setting we presented the final update of the CheckMate 9ER study of nivo/cabo vs sunitinib which was the standard of care for metastatic kidney cancer at the time of study design which confirmed the superiority of a combination over the TKI monotherapy in terms of both progression-free survival as well as overall survival Progression-free survival was 16.4 months with the combination as compared with less than 9 months with sunitinib monotherapy the benefit we observed was also evident in overall survival which remains the most important study end point for us as oncologists the median overall survival for the nivo/cabo combination was 46.5 months as compared with less than 36 months for sunitinib monotherapy As already shown in the primary analysis of the study that was published on The New England Journal of Medicine this difference could be statistically significant Given these results—which also showed a high anti-tumor activity of the combination with a 13.9% complete response rate which is really striking—it is clear that for both urologists and oncologists the nivo/cabo combination represents one of the standards of care for the present treatment of metastatic kidney cancer in a first-line setting It is a highly active and efficacious treatment that compares with all the other available options we do have and are suggested by both the EAU [European Association of Urology] and NCCN [National Comprehensive Cancer Network] guidelines and so on This is one of the best options we have to treat metastatic kidney cancer with the ultimate aim of prolonging survival We still have several questions unanswered The first one is what to do in the case of progression under these treatments We know that sequencing immunotherapy does not make sense after the failure of previous immunotherapy given either alone or in combination with an anti-angiogenic agent This is a first major issue that we still have to solve The second point is that we are selecting a small fraction of patients who despite having metastatic disease—which has been until now considered as incurable—probably are cured by use of these combinations which of our patients will benefit most from these treatments This relates strictly with the third topic that still has to be clarified The first takeaway is if you need a highly active and efficacy treatment We do not have strict criteria in order to differentiate this treatment from the other 3 available combinations which prove to positively impact overall survival I would conclude with the words by Tom Powles who said that "you have to pick your choice and keep it." That means trying to optimize the treatment in order to maintain the patient as much as possible on treatment which ultimately means an adequate management of treatment-related adverse events which presently represents the major issue for us as oncologists in this field We have improved a lot in the field of metastatic kidney cancer but we still need to answer a lot of questions [regarding] biomarkers which is sometimes difficult due to the clear side effect profile of these treatments [the goal is] paving the way for the development of more active treatments that will select a larger amount of patients [for cure] Perioperative lenvatinib/pembrolizumab shows promise in non-metastatic ccRCC The importance of federal funding in cancer research: A call to action FDA updates in urology: March 2025 Subcutaneous nivolumab under review in EU for solid tumors Sintilimab/fruquintinib combo meets primary PFS end point in advanced RCC FDA greenlights trial of orellanine in metastatic renal cell carcinoma 609-716-7777 MANITOWOC – Here’s your look at can’t-miss events in the Manitowoc area this week. been reinvented from the original One Red Door restaurant that the pair previously ran for 12 years next door Porta Rossa came about after Monday and Schwartz decided to swap spaces between the neighboring restaurant they also owned, FlipSide The FlipSide casual burger joint moved to the larger 140-seat space (indoor and out) where One Red Door Both restaurant spaces were renovated and the smaller establishment was reconceived as Porta Rossa Both restaurants were highly successful but after more than a decade in business for both “I also wanted to do a high-end restaurant in a small spot where we can really pay attention to the food do heavy-prepped items" that you couldn't to in a bigger restaurant "To do a 45-seat restaurant is something that is just a lot easier to pull off in a high-end environment." making Porta Rossa's fare from scratch starting at 9 a.m each day for dinner service is a labor of love All pasta and bread are made daily in-house as are the restaurant's sauces and desserts The pasta is made with Italian-imported semolina flour and egg yolks which makes its super rich Monday and Schwartz also own 3 Palms Pizzeria & Bakery across the street whose desserts and breads are all made fresh daily Horner taught the staff at the newer restaurant how to make her focaccia bread The intimate Porta Rossa has a chic and welcoming feel dominated by a cool large-scale retro image etched on glass picturing a beauty in curlers eating a bowl of pasta while holding a cigarette we lingered for a couple fabulous hours over a luscious Italian dinner that started with savory house-made sourdough focaccia with several delightful accoutrements and ended with an exciting The sourdough focaccia ($10) came with pesto-infused butter as well as estate olive oil with 15-year aged balsamic vinegar "I can really tell the balsamic is great," I said after dipping my bread to taste that fruity delight mingled with the olive oil My sister also added whipped ricotta with wildflower honey a creamy and comforting appetizer featuring a generous serving of crab sitting atop garlic cream and tomato puree It was expensive at $25 but truly delicious Katie and Emma went for the house-made Italian sausage appetizer ($18) with braised peppers and onions extra virgin olive oil and drizzled with more of the restaurant's wonderful balsamic vinegar our party enjoyed a variety of wines and mixed drinks while I ordered a nice Rosso di Montepulciano ($12) from Tuscany in anticipation of the pasta I planned to order Steve enjoyed a Mad Mule cocktail and Katie kept it old school with an Old Fashioned The service was a bit leisurely on this particular night especially the wait to receive our beverages after we were seated for our 6 p.m we were more than happy with a long dinner experience that made our meal the main event of the evening featuring a deliciously spicy lamb sausage house-made flat strangozzi noodles that were slightly thicker than fettucini The pasta was served in a lamb sugo (sauce) with Emma ordering the creamy and wonderful autumn squash triangoli ($25) a fall delight with triangular-shaped ravioli butternut squash and sage cooked in brown butter who went all out with lobster angel hair pasta ($47) Her dish featured butter-poached Maine lobster in a creamy tomato lobster broth He ordered an 8-ounce Wagyu hanger steak ($50) which came with a skewer of grilled new potatoes and sweet onions He chose a salsa verde that came in a small pan for his steak sauce Steve said his precut steak was cooked just right to his rare specification well-seasoned and paired well with the fresh salsa verde Porta Rosa's house-made goodness extends to the bar with multiple drinks: One of the early cocktails the restaurant offered is made by beverage director Anna Luttrell which she created from an amalgamation of recipes Luttrell first skins the lemons and lets the peels sit in grain alcohol in an airtight container for 21 days in a cool She then strains out the lemon peels and mixes a sugar water solution into the lemon-steeped alcohol Limoncello is an after-dinner drink served ice cold in a frozen glass intended to cleanse the palate and aid in digestion It was a delicious digestif that packed a powerful bite to end our excellent dinner For those who want a little less of that concentrated lemon bite the restaurant also offers a limoncello spritz also sharing a couple spoonfuls of a delightful tiramisu trifle that my sister ordered This special dinner was an evening to be remembered for all of us Arts Enter: PORTA After hearing some coworkers raving about the brand’s new line of frozen pizzas I knew I had to sample the frozen pizzas myself (tough gig These aren’t your average frozen pizzas. PORTA specializes in Roman-style pizzas which use classic recipes and techniques rooted in tradition that have been passed down for generations They’re made using a light and airy dough with a high hydration (The starter itself proves for over 18 hours!)  shared his recipes at his restaurants and bakeries for years but wanted to make them more accessible — and thus The word porta means “door or to carry,” which is exactly what the brand aims to do — bring restaurant-quality pizzas right to your home PORTA sources its ingredients from Italy: The flour used for the crust comes from a fourth-generation, family-run mill in Le Marche; the San Marzano tomatoes in the sauce come from Campania, and the 100% extra virgin olive oil comes from Puglia and ready to enjoy at home after a 10-minute stint in the oven The margherita pizza contains a classic Italian pomodoro sauce the brand launched three other frozen pizzas: pepperoni; mushroom and fontina; and sausage and caramelized onion You can find them at select retailers nationwide including Sprouts popped the pizza directly on the rack (as per the instructions) The box recommends baking the pizza for 10 to 12 minutes but I kept mine in for about 15 to get the crust nice and crispy I sliced the pizza up with bated breath and high expectations — and I was not let down The pizza has a super-thin crust that isn’t hard or tough in the slightest It is a bit doughy in the center (just how I like it) while the edge has a nice The flavor of the dough also came through, and I could taste the olive oil it was made of. It reminded me of fresh warm bread dipped in olive oil I’d get at a fancy Italian restaurant The cheese melted and browned perfectly, and wasn’t overly salty or oily. It added just the right amount of tang and gooeyness. The pizza wasn’t super saucy, either (which I prefer), and the tomatoes provided a hint of sweetness and bite I would recommend this pizza a thousand times over and texture you get is well worth the price Find it in stores: PORTA Margherita Pizza Read the commentsFiled in:Product ReviewThe KitchnThe wordmark and logotype for the Kitchn brand.More From Us By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. MONTCLAIR ― Punk rockers clutching a 12-pack of Budweiser navigated herds of broad-chested men in silk shirts and women in stiletto pumps before turning the corner toward a graffitied basement venue on Park Street Montclair's pivot from bedroom community to nightlife hub is no recent development Yet the township's decades-long slogan "Where the city meets the suburbs" had become increasingly owed to an influx of chic restaurants and bars: social but static a restaurant that includes a discotheque upstairs and its monthly dance party ― dubbed "All My Friends" ― brought an energetic experience without pretense "It’s about getting sweaty and hearing music you wouldn’t hear at a 'club' club," said Preston Olson "It’s not clubby in the vein of a night where people go to hook up But you can go there and not think about it." Yet the success of that concept is most on display when a party draws as many attendees whose presence relies on an available babysitter as those whose only obstacle might be a hangover from Thursday a 21-year-old student at Montclair State University The event began in its proper form at a now-shuttered restaurant in South Orange which served bespoke Italian food below a vacant third floor that hosted a rotation of pop-up vintage markets All My Friends was no sleeper hit for the SOMA (South Orange-Maplewood) cognoscenti thanks to Olson's repute among them the party's remarkable post-New York savvy sans hipster conceit is a reflection of Olson and his success could easily seem like simply the product of a nice guy who wanted everyone to have a good time Olson keenly noted the one thing lacking among SOMA's populace of Gen-X record collectors "dad-rock" bands and traditional suburbanites who liked cutting loose: dance parties with abandon All My Friends' unlikely proving ground was the South Orange Elks Lodge — not that Olson a seasoned DJ who had held residencies in New York and Los Angeles Another local DJ had a massive hit with an annual Elks Lodge party on Dec 30 called "Old Year's Eve," which Olson took over before adding a Halloween party and a Pride party fundraiser to the roster But the Elks' meager 100-or-so-person capacity had lines stretching around the lodge's inconspicuous clapboard house Dagley Galea and Spiridakis saw the potential to build on Olson's parties with a consistent event in a larger space increasing the capacity to more than 200 people The buzz was instantaneous and as much the result of Spiridakis' promotion and McKesten's branding as it was the kismet between Olson and Dagley Galea The team scrambled to find another venue: Enter Porta Musically 'nothing is off limits'"Osteria was different," Rourk said If attendees mentioned anything more often than the lighting ― including a surprising attraction to Porta's rote disco ball ― it was the wide swath of genres covered by the tag-team DJs “Other disco nights are more curated or specific to one thing," said Julia Holtzman who had driven from Collingswood to attend the September party on her therapist's recommendation it’s a little bit of everything; it’s like putting your iPod on shuffle and seeing what you get.” "That’s who we strive to be: your therapist’s favorite," Dagley Galea said Miami bass beats flow seamlessly into contemporary pop and into hip-hop Olson ― Dagley Galea's senior by a few years ― has a penchant for what she accurately describes as "'80s prom hits" (the metaphorical stylus rarely fails to touch a Madonna track) and unassailable Manchester heavies like New Order Their musical choices have "handrails," Dagley Galea said But ― as with any aspect of All My Friends ― "nothing is off limits." information on All My Friends, see its official website When we meet Celeste Dalla Porta as the titular character in Parthenope extolling the pleasures of a cigarette after a swim in the ocean It’s a moment of carefree indulgence that is typical of a Paolo Sorrentino film and hints at the coming exploration of youth the Italian city that is Sorrentino’s hometown a place the film explores through the life of our heroine but some outsiders underestimate it as provincial Dalla Porta believes that her character’s smoking is a reflection of the 1960s and ’70s But there may also be an “autobiographical” element she notes: Both she and Sorrentino are smokers though the 27-year-old actress notes that she’s cutting back I feel that the gesture of smoking is very fascinating,” she tells MovieMaker through an Italian translator “There is a self-destruction component to it,” she adds “There’s poison that you’re putting into your body And people that have suffered a lot may feel an attraction to that They may recognize themselves in this self-destructive gesture.” Parthenope was a siren who cast herself into the sea and drowned when her songs failed to entice Odysseus but Parthenope would never kill herself over a man “Are you aware of the disruption your beauty causes?” asks Gary Oldman’s character in the film’s breezily intoxicating trailer “I’m starting to suspect something,” she replies Dalla Porta was a relative unknown in the U.S fresh performances by Gary Oldman and Italian actors Dario Aita the auteur of 2009’s Il Divo and 2013’s Oscar winning The Great Beauty when she played a small role in his 2021 film The Hand of God an Oscar nominee for Best International Feature Film We talked with Celeste Dalla Porta about becoming a star and the importance of Italian film icon Stefania Sandrelli who makes a pivotal appearance in Parthenope which can be mistaken for being passive or being inactive Celeste Dalla Porta: This is a character that definitely does observe everything all around her and the way that she uses to observe can come off as passive — but it is by no mean passive and she allows the people that she comes in contact with to leave a mark she leaves a mark on the people around her So what truly matters is this ability to provide space and to open herself up Tim Molloy: Every review of this movie that I’ve read has talked about this being a star-is-born performance Did it feel that way when you were making it Does it feel that now has your life dramatically changed I tried to focus on it as much as possible and to not think about what my future would be like I just wanted to enjoy each and every day on set and I did not have any projections about the future and it was a project that was so deeply focused around a female character I knew that there would be a lot of talk about it but about the actress that would play the lead role I am going through a time where I’m sort of exploding There’s so much change in my life all around me because of the movie and I’m in the heart of the promotion it’s very engaging and emotional as a process Tim Molloy: Regarding the symbolism of smoking do you think the character is self-destructive Celeste Dalla Porta: I don’t believe she’s self destructive … She is looking for happiness and freedom maybe we can see that as a symbol of some degree of unhappiness Maybe she’s simply a character who smokes when she’s faced with the possibility of something that can be self destructive I feel that she tries to work on it and to have that evolve — starting from a moment of unhappiness to lead to a greater understanding of what life is and what human behaviors are like Tim Molloy: I don’t agree with this criticism but I’ve noticed that some critics feel that this film is an exercise in the male gaze by Paolo Sorrentino Celeste Dalla Porta: I don’t know to what extent what I think matters in terms of these criticisms on the movie and I feel that anyone can think or see into it whatever they want but I can only focus on the work that I did on how difficult or how challenging it is to free oneself from a male projection — how challenging it is for a beautiful woman a beautiful woman who is pursuing her own freedom how challenging it can be for her to break free from the shells that men created around her I don’t think that there is a political discourse about it or around it in terms of the roles of men and women I think it’s simply a story about the life of a woman and the experiences that she goes through Tim Molloy: Can you talk about what you did Celeste Dalla Porta: Paulo Sorrentino gave me a lot of advice and in particular he mentioned two books that I should read: One is entitled Il mare non bagna Napoli which literally translates as The Sea Does Not Get Naples Wet [a 1953 book by Anna Maria Ortese] which literally translates as Wounded to Death [a 2013 book by by Serena Dandini] They are two books that talk about the city of Naples and in particular the city of Naples in the ’60s and ’70s Their books helped me to immerse myself in the atmosphere and the mood of the Sorrentino imagination… what he had in mind for this film and in terms of the smells and of the different feelings and melancholic mood that this city can evoke in people So there were many factors that he wanted for me to fully grasp So these books did help me find that sort of mood I listened to a lot of music on my own from the ’70s That was a time of great musical discovery and explosions Paulo recommended to me that I should draw inspiration from Natalie Portman’s character in Closer She had a degree of melancholy that he thought could be important to me and Io la conoscevo bene [translated as I Knew Her Well The main character is Stefania Sandrelli Click here to download the iPhone app When he opened his LA PORTA in Northport Village this summer, owner Rob Simmons didn’t need to do any advertising. Just the aroma of burning wood mixed with Italian flavors wafting onto Main Street had people pouring in. They were “flooded” right out of the gate, he said. “Our storefront has folding windows, so it opens up completely,” Simmons explained. “People would tell us they were walking somewhere else but the wood fires and Italian sauces and flavors they could smell in the air drew them in.” “They came in because they really love that smell.” Business has remained steady since, even as the new LA PORTA enters its first winter in the waterside village. For years, Simmons loved taking his young son to Northport. Sometimes they’d spend an entire day in the village, wrapping it all up with a couple slices of pizza at LA PORTA — which then was just a slice shop. On somewhat of a whim, and fueled by his love for the village, the film producer purchased the business with the idea of opening his own Italian dining spot, with Neapolitan-style pizza pies the star. That was in 2022. Then came the zoning, planning and architectural review board processes. Once that was all wrapped up, the work began.  “It was a massive undertaking,” he said. Construction involved gutting the existing pizzeria and what was a nail salon that shared the same ground floor — and then combining the two spaces into one. In the nearly two years it took for the approvals and construction to finish, however, Simmons had been experimenting with doughs, sauces and cook times. (He was fortunate enough to have a buddy in Queens he uses the same imported Italian brick oven as Simmons.) “And of course the different tomatoes to get the perfect sauce and everything,” Simmons said. What resulted was LA PORTA, with room enough for 60 to 64 diners at 61 Main St. That doesn’t even count the popular outdoor dining component. Long Islanders are creatures of habit. And some who walk into LA PORTA have been disappointed to learn they can’t grab a slice. So Simmons and his crew have to educate them. These are 12-inch pies cooked to order, and served piping hot out of the oven, they’ll explain. They’re Neapolitan in style, but not floppy. They’re thin but crisp, more Roman in style. “It’s kind of a blend between the two [regions of Italy]” he said. Not only that, in the time it takes to heat up a slice at a pizzeria, which might have been sitting out for awhile, the La Porta crew can cook up a fresh pie, he and the staff explains. It all takes about 2 and 1/2 to 3 minutes. “And you’ve got the perfect pie,” he said. “And everything is made in house, our dough, our sauces, our mozzarella.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Our Harbor Town (@ourharbortown) There is a bar, for those looking to grab a beer, wine or cocktail.  LA PORTA also boasts an array of Italian dishes. back-to-back 3s by Scott for the lead He banked in the go-ahead 3 near the corner with 32.1 seconds remaining PORTA’s Drew Marr answered with the tying layup before Scott launched the final go-ahead 3 from the wing with just a couple seconds to spare “I knew he was capable of a game like that and we thought this would be a good matchup for him to play in and he took full advantage,” Plains coach Kyle Weber said “What a big 3 that he hit to send it to overtime He gave us a huge lift and I thought a lot of guys did.”  'A great kid': Students, sports teams honor late Petersburg teen in a You know you're going to get a taste of racing at the top level right away Then you see if you like it and then you figure out if you want to take a deeper dive into the horse racing game in some other way.” On average there are about 12 ½ horses in each new class The mares are normally sold at the November sales and that money is then reinvested in new acquisitions A win by Porta Fortuna in the 2025 Breeders' Cup Mile would be the ultimate success story But let her have another year where she wins three Group I races in Europe and no one will complain She's only four and has raced just 12 times It's possible that she's just getting started Not a subscriber?
