The drought in the Marina Alta area was cited as the reason for this
with Teulada being the first town to be affected in this way

the municipality has managed to avoid the scarcity issue by purchasing flows from the Javea desalination plant
It has been confirmed that the water supply in Poble Nou de Benitachell

One of Spain´s most-watched television programmes
First Dates is a reality TV programme produced by Warner Brothers ITVP Spain that is very popular in Spain and has spin-offs in Italy
The programme has been broadcast regularly in Spanish households since 2016, featuring 10 strangers who meet in pairs on blind dates. The dates usually take place in restaurants, however this summer, the show is reformatted to First Dates Hotels; set in Teulada-Moraira.
Although the exact location has not yet been officially announced
First Dates has posted photos on social media showing a set that looks very similar to the new Ritual de Terra & Spa
which will be welcoming visitors from June
With stunning views of the Mediterranean sea and the bohemian decor
the setting is expected to play an integral role as the backdrop to the anticipated and often flamboyant couples
15 people were forced from their homes on April 8 in Teulada-Moraira
after the fireworks at the San Vicente Ferrer celebration started a forest fire
According to the Guardia Civil
Teulada residents in the affected area were fleeing their homes and saving their vehicles
when the spread of the fire damaged some of the cars and burnt 2.5 hectares of a nearby brush
Two horses were injured but rescued from the fire
The only houses affected were non-residential and abandoned
According to the authorities, the fire began near the town´s cemetery and firefighters were immediately alerted
urged people to stop letting off fireworks and to clear the roads to facilitate the work of the firefighters
Although the reaction of the authorities was quick
The wind pushed the fire towards crops near the sports court where the fireworks were originally set off
The firefighters stabilised the fire at 12.30am and by 2.15am it was considered to be completely under control
I fail to understand why the mayor even let the fireworks go ahead given how dry the vegetation in the area is at this time
and given how windy it has become over the last week
It is regrettable that local councils tend to jump on infractions by those living in the various villages around the area
had the potential for lose of life if things went wrong
Double standards are generally remembered for a long

Officers from the General Commissariat of Intelligence of the National Police arrested a 46-year old man in Teulada (Alicante)
for his involvement in the terrorist group DAESH
glorification of terrorism and the indoctrination of Salafi Jihadist ideology
The detainee took advantage of his privileged position in the Islamic Community in the province of Alicante
to locally spread content glorifying the attacks perpetrated by the terrorist group DAESH and cruelly scorning victims
Furthermore he used social media networks as a tool to generate a tale of hatred with the publication of videos in which terrorist leaders encouraged Jihadist violence as a method to indoctrinate their followers
The main role of the detainee was to facilitate the return of DAESH terrorists that had decided to leave Syria or Iraq
providing them with locations to travel to and seek refuge
as well as assisting them in obtaining documentation and economic resources
The return of terrorists from these conflict zones to European soil constitutes one of the main risks to national security and European security as a whole
The investigators were able to establish that this man had recently committed to bringing a family to Spain from Syria
where one of their members has been killed fighting in the ranks of DAESH
he arranged for them to travel from the conflict zone to the Turkish border
at which time he would organise the necessary fake travel documentation for their transit from Turkey to Spain
The people who he was trying to assist are currently subject to several International Arrest Warrants due to their membership of the terrorist group DAESH
the man arrested on Tuesday in Teulada (Alicante)
had tried to obtain illegal letters of invitation for two persons with police records for their connection with the terrorist group
with a view to facilitating their entry into Spain from Egypt
was carried out under the supervision of Criminal Investigation Court Number 6 in coordination with the Public Prosecutor's Office of the National High Court
the date on which the Ministry of Home Affairs raised the Counter-Terrorism Alert Level to level 4 (Spanish acronym: NAA-4)
law enforcement agencies have arrested a total of 159 Jihadist terrorists in operations carried out in Spain and abroad
and a total of 204 since the beginning of 2015
The Ministry of Home Affairs sends out a reminder that
citizens can collaborate through a series of channels open to them so that
they can notify the State law enforcement agencies of possible cases of radicalisation in their vicinity through the web page www.stop-radicalismos.es
